Html 5 publishing doesn't work in version 8

Just upgraded to Version 8 on Windows 7.
When I choose html 5 to publish a file the publishing window shows "copying assets" disappears after a few seconds and doesn't publish. In the publishing folder I see all the folders and the file project.json but not the html files. assets\htmlimages also contains images as well but not the outputed html5 files.

Can you change the publish folder location and try to publish again.?
You should ideally get a index.html file in the published output, when you publish the project as html5. Also, after you see the "copying assets" dialog, you should get a message for successful publish and whether you wish to view the output or not.

I don't know about Growl as I've never used it. But I'd remove anything that might involve your internet connection. To remove Growl: http://growl.info/documentation/growl-package-removal.php

Do you have access to another computer so you could download another browser, perhaps onto a USB stick and then install it on your Mac just to see if the problem is Safari specific:

Adblock doesn't work in version 18

OK, I admit that I have been using an old version of Firefox on two machines for a long time. I just got so tired of being told to update every few days! On my laptop (version 10) Adblock works fine. On a new machine I'm setting up now, using version 18, I find that the old Adblock is not available, but am told to try a newer version. However this doesn't work. Is Adblock a thing of the past? I certainly hope not!

Yes - Adblock simply does not block ads! For example on online newspaper sites, Adblock very efficiently removes all advertising on my old laptop using version 10 of FF, but on this new machine using version 18 and the newer Adblock, all the ads are displayed.
Yes, I know all about the security vulnerabilities, but as I said, I got so tired of Firefox updating itself every few days at one time, only to cause problems with add-ons that were no longer compatible. And if Adblock does not work in newer versions of FF, I will be even less inclined to update it!

I've network in my company and installing internal web proxy that allow clients to connect to the internet (ISA 2004). i'm using the Firefox as default browser in my network. so what i need that no one in my network clients can't change the proxy settings or it just be dimmed. i did it in the previous version but when i try the steps in version 4 it doesn't work so I'm asking for solution for that.

For checking other extensions that may cause this, follow the procedure in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

Mail Doesn't Work (Wrong version message) after updating 10.5.3

I just upgraded using software updater over the weekend and now Mail will not start. Error message is:
"You cannot use this version of the application Mail with this version of Mac OSX.
Ideas?

HTML animation effects doesn't work after last update

After last update my html animation that have different effects with different time: fade, translate, rotation, scale, ecc... plays but some effects doesn't play.
Various animated png in html project appears immediatly without shows transitions or deformations.
I have made html animation with Motion Composer that have time curve for each effect.. and all work fine with previous dps desktop tools...
I don't use Hedge because folios with hedge animation is mooooooooore large than folios with motion composer animation.
A single complex animation (10 .png(1024x768) with multipe effects fo each) made with composer produce a 1MB folio...
The same animation made with Hedge produce more the 100MB folio.
why new version of dps don't show my html anim correctly ? I hope adobe correct this proble.

Link from BIEE Dashboard to BI Publisher doesn't work without administrator

Hi everyone,
I have a user with limited privileges on both BIEE Dashboard and BI Publisher.
I have a Publisher report in Publisher and a dashboard in BIEE.
When I add the Publisher report on the Dashboard and click on it to get redirected to Publisher, there's a problem and I'm get this:
Unauthorized Access: please contact the administrator.
The only thing I can do is log into Publisher with the username and browse to the report and execute.
As the link works with Administrator use, I guess there is an issue with privileges in Publisher.
Can anyone help me?

HTML Standard/Minimal doesn't work in Safari browser

Here's an issue that has been bugging me for quite some time, it's more of a bug and I finally decided to post it in the forums.
I have an Item on a page for which the Display Type is set to HTML Editor Standard, the problem is that it works fine in most editors except Safari. Not sure what the issue is, has anyone been able to get this to work in Safari?
Another issue is with formatting, I have another report page that displays the field that's tied to the HTML editor standard form page. The report page does not show the same formatting from the HTML editor. You would think the report will at least show the same formatting that was entered via the field.

Thanks for replying. I didn't realize that Apex is certified for IE and FireFox only. Safari is one of the best browsers and I find it strange that Apex is not supported.
Since the HTML Standard toolbox is based on FCKeditor, just for kicks I checked their site and the demo works fine on Safari, i.e. I see the toolbar and the text looks formatted just as in FireFox.
Also I performed another test, I downloaded the latest FCKEditor 2.6.4 and uploaded the main js file to application images and associated that with a report field (displayed as textarea, with id=f01_0001) and that worked partially in Safari (i.e. the toolbar showed up, the text looked formatted). I bet if I ftp the entire FCKEditor library to the unix folder and reference it from there, it will work just fine. It seems like next version of Oracle Apex need to update their FCKEditor library as the latest version of FCK Editor is certified on all browsers.

Html page publishing but not working in Browser

Hi,
My Flash file is working but the html will not open and play. I've never had this issue before. I brought into Dreamweaver and saved it out hoping that might make a difference but still the same.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Is there another forum I should post this question in?

Yes, Ths is a dedicated loade that loads only this swf contained within a MC. The html and swf plus the other significant files all sit in the same folde. It loads fine but I cannot remove it or (I have tried unload(), which juststops everthing.
I am right now returning to this problem before the html thing.

7.3.2.6 doesn't work. latest version won't install - can't delete 7.3.2.6!?

In the course of trying to free up some disk space, i think I may have randomly deleted some important iTunes files (oops!)
itunes will not work.Clicking on the shortcut says:+This action is only valid for products which are curently installed+ So tried re-installing 7.3.2.6 & get a message: +"The older version cannot be removed. contact your technical support"+. Then tried uninstalling 7.3.2.6 & got the message: +'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable+". Then I saw there is a newer version; 7.4, downloaded that & tried to install, but once again it cannot uninstall the older version. Trying to uninstall 7.3.2.6 akso gives the message +'Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to the folder containing itunes.msi'+, but there is no other folder, so I'm completely stuck. My only option may be to find all the registry entries which contain'itunes'& delete them, But I am aware this could be dangerous & leave me with an unstable machine. Any other suggestions?

Fixed It! after reading another thread, I downloaded the Windows installer cleanup utility, deleted the Apple Software update utility, and the latest version has now been successfully installed.

Upgrade to 4.5 device software on Telus Pearl 8130: HTML Email viewer doesn't work

I just upgraded the software on my Telus Mobility (Canada) BlackBerry Pearl 8130 (from 4.3).
One of the main reasons I wanted to upgrade was to take advantage of the HTML email viewer (yeah! finally!).
My installation went fine, and the View Messages in HTML option is enabled (was by default, have verified it again).
On my first test email that I sent to myself from my Yahoo account to my default ISP email account, here's what happened. The Yahoo email uses a very simple "stationery" as background, consisting of two small graphic files, one in the upper left and one in the lower right. In between those two graphics is the text you wish to write. So I put the words "test test" in the text portion and sent it to myself.
When the email was received on the Pearl, indeed I saw the two graphics. However, the text was not displayed.
That was the first attempt. The second attempt produced no graphics at all.
I also tried sending myself an email using some formatting, like bold fonts, different text colors, underline and one jpg file. None of the formatting came through, and the jpg came through as an attachment (instead of in the the body of the email where it was placed). When I tried to open the jpg, by clicking on "1 Attachment", I got an error stating that it is an unrecognized file type and cannot be opened.
So it appears that the upgrade took 1 step forward and 3 backwards.
Anyone experience this, and if so, is there a fix, either now or in the works? Does RIM Support read these forums?
Telus Tech Support said that something is being done but they weren't too specific.
I have another upgrade-related question regarding Documents to Go, but I'll post that in a separate thread.

about the third point : it usually takes a long time for the device to emerge after a battery pull. It's quite common, you can't do anything about it.
about the second point. In my opinion there at least one picture that is corrupted (or one index file).
in the folder containing that image, do you have many images ? Let's call that folder A.
I suggest you to move them one by one into another folder B, then scroll through the folder A.
it will certainly reset a few times, until at one point it wont' freeze, meaning the folder A does not contain the corrupted image anymore.
you then know that the last image moved from A to B is the culprit.

Using dataTemplate on standalone XML Publisher doesn't work?

Hi guys, I'm using standalone XML Publisher. I created a report based on the next Data Template:

Just run the XML first without a template, you get:

Per default we always the generate Upper Case field names. So <?THEDATE?> should work in the template.
