HTML Add to Adobe Media Player link

Hi,
I have a series of FLV videos on a site and I want to add a link in Dreamweaver that will automatically download and add the video to the Adobe Media Player. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers
Ali

Hi
The media players will have to consume your flv as an rss feed, you can find full instructions and documentation here - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/mediaplayer/.

  • Sample to embed Adobe Media Player into html

    Hello everyone,
I have searched for quite some time but can not find a simple sample to tell how to write a simple html page which could embed an Adobe Media Player and play a local music?
    Any samples?
    thanks in advance,
    George

Just an idea...Maybe it would be better to add music through your editing html software - you can add music within background tab. Heres the code...place in html on page.
change musicfile.wav to the name of your file.

  • "Add to Adobe Media Encoder queue" option very slow

    Hello,
The new "add to Adobe Media Encoder queue" directly from After Effects is great, but it is sooooo much slower than encoding directly from Adobe Media Encoder.
My comp is very simple : it's a 90 min. length video that I'm trying to convert from 24 to 25 frames. I need a MPEG2 export for DVD, so I can't use AE because there're no option to export to MPEG2 files in AE.
AME announced 10 hours of encoding, but after 5 hours it was only at a third of completion. So I rendered the movie in DNxHD, then encoded in AME : 1 hour for the DNxHD file, and 4 hours for the MPEG2. Much faster!
I run After Effects CC (12.1.0.168) and AME CC (7.1.0.74) on a windows 7 system with i5 processor and 8go of RAM.
    Anybody else encoutered this issue?

    Tento wrote:
As for the higher encoding time of exporting to AME frome AE, do you have any clue ?
Have you applied any effects to the footage in your After Effects comp? Are you using time remapping or the Time Warp effect? That will slow down the encode significantly. Also, what is the format of your source footage?
Mind that, depending on what you're asking After Effects to render, encoding a comp via AME may not be as fast as using the Render Queue in After Effects. Feeding frames to AME via Dynamic Link incurs some memory overhead and limitations; for example After Effects can not render multiple frames simultaneously on different processors for Dynamic Link encodes.
If I were you, I would try to solve the problems with AME transcoding your footage. You should bring the issue to the AME forum.  If you're fully committed to not using AME, I recommend using Premiere Pro, not After Effects, for this type of job.
Regardless of all the above, I agree with Rick: you shouldn't need to transcode 24fps footage to 25fps for playback from DVD. DVD players will do that frame rate translation for you at playback time. But if your footage is not PAL dimensions (720x576), a DVD player won't necessarily convert the frame size, so transcoding at least the frame size is recommended. Bottom line: I would let your DVD authoring software (Encore?) handle the original file; it should do any conversions necessary when you set the DVD format to PAL.

  • How can I change the port for Adobe Media Player?

After instaling Adobe Media Player I lost my IIS. AMP has hijacked my port 80. Now how could I alter configuration so that AMP will use a different port.
I have many programs configured for Port 80 and I dont want to go and change all of the hardcoded ports in Javascript and CSS files.

These tools you are talking about, did you configure the tnsnames for them?
If you plan to change the default listening port, you need to modify the listener.ora file under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
After 9i, Oracle has service registration
A feature by which the PMON process automatically registers information with a listener. Because this information is registered with the listener, the listener.ora file does not need to be configured with this static information.
You can try to run one listener, see if both instances can register themselves in even they are different versions.

  • Adobe Media Player does not show day 5

On my computer, the Adobe Media Player does not show day 5. Shows days 1 through 4.
Also on Day 4, trying to view the video "Create States and How to bind them"
I get a "corrupt file" error when trying to watch using the Adobe Media Player...
Also will someone please give a clear statement how to do a download of the files so
we can watch them off line.  This still isn't clear to me.
I don't know what Craig is talking about below: How does that relate to downloading the
    files.
The new instructions and feed links are now live on the Flex in a Week video training home page:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/videotraining/
    Please try them out!

  • Adobe Media Player bug, 2 years on.

I note on the Adobe Develop site for Flex tutorials, the company states:
Want to view Flex in a Week videos in offline mode? Follow these steps:
    Install Adobe Media Player.
Click the My Favorites menu at the top.
Click Add RSS Feed at the bottom.
Copy and paste this URL: http://sessions.adobe.com/FlexInAWeek/feed.xml
I complete the above steps, then download a selection of the videos to view offline.
I go have a coffee and come back.  The videos have disappeared.
I repeat the download process, after 30 minutes the videos disappear.
I repeat the download process, after 1 hour, all but two of the videos disappear. The last two disappear 30 minutes later.
I repeat the download process but this time do a copy of the cache folder in
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Media Player\Local Store\cache
When the application has deleted the files, I can open my copy of the cache folder and double click to watch the original flv.
I now realise that this problem has been reported since 2007 but Adobe continues to re-issue versions of this player with the same stupid behaviour and they do not comment on this behaviour. They also  continue to offer the player for viewing their published videos offline despite the fact that half way through viewing one video the next episodes may disappear in the interim?
    Why?
I now use a third party product to download and save the above videos for VIEWING OFFLINE as Adobe state. Howeve I cannot use the Adobe Media Player to view ANY of their own content, while this issue remains.

IMHO, Adobe Media Player is one app that nobody in adobe responds to and at the moment is pretty useless. Whenever I install my adobe apps, I just uncheck Adobe Media Player. It's as useful and a mosquito.

  • How to make Adobe Media Player work online?

    Hello,
I have Adobe Media Player. When I launched before, I was able to see the content. Nowadays, it showing just blank screen saying "You must be online to view this content" Although JavaScripts already enabled on my safari web browser and my personal firewall is On.
p.s firewall was always On When I was able to see adobe media player content!
I would like to know if anyone tell me how to make it online?
    Thank you.

The flash add-on is not available for Safari on iOS. Never has been and in fact Adobe has ceased support for flash for mobile devices in general. Your options, depending on the specific sites:
See if the site or sites in question have their own apps availabel in teh app store
Look into some browsers such as Puffin adn iSwifter (there are others, I beleive). These browsers use a third server site to translate the flsh content into a form that the iPAd can use and restreams them to you. They may not work with all content.
Use a computer capable of running flash.
Seek a source of the conent that is designed for non flash use.

  • Adobe media player does not have content after install.

I just got into school for web development and they sent the cs5 master suite, adobe media player came with it. After installing it and logging in, I went to the adobe tv site and seen a slew of tutorials that I would love to use with adobe media player. Everything I do will not add the videos, adding the rss feed only says its not available and there is nothing in it at all. I am very disappointed in this. Hopefully I am doing something wrong.
    Please advise

  • ...insidious ADOBE Media Player !

Tell me I dont need the insidious ADOBE Media Player on my NLE system...before I uninstall it. (Hopefully I actually can un-install it without breaking anything?)
Only reason I can imagine keeping it is to play Flash Files - but surely I can get a standalone player for that.

    Craig,
There are a couple of options for local FLV playback. (As an aside, I think AMP is a very good FLV/F4V player, but agree that it's not the best thing to have on a professional workstation).
    One option is
Media Player Classic. It will play back FLVs, as well as a lot of other formats. The best part about it is that you don't actually "install" it--it simply is an executable with all the decoding libraries built in. It's lightweight, fast, and very customizable.
    Another option is the
FLV Player that KL linked to above. This used to be my go-to FLV playback app, but I've had issues with it playing back "stuttered"... videos seem to drop a lot of frames, no matter what computer I'm playing back on. This doesn't happen in other FLV players. It could just be my configuration or something, though.
My new, current favorite player is the
JW Desktop Player. It's from the same guy/group that releases the JW FLV Player for online playback; this is a lightweight AIR app that lets you play back FLV, MP4, as well as the "new" F4V container format on the desktop.
All of them are free, and all load and playback MUCH quicker than AMP, without the TV watching component of the player.

  • Cannot uninstall Adobe Air & Adobe Media Player won't work...

When I try to uninstall Adobe Air (version 1.0), I get an
error which tells me to contact my Administrator... well, I am the
Admin and there is no other user on this computer (Windows XP).
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can effectively and
completely uninstall this application? Also, my version of Adobe
media Player does not work as it is apparently not compatible with
the current version of Air... Can anyone help, please?

Please try enabling installer logging to get a better idea of
why the uninstall is failing. If you can post that log, I should be
    able to help further. See

  • FMS(Interactive) - Adobe Media Player Tracking Service.

    Hi Folks...
I understand that the Flash Interactiver Server has this feature called 'Adobe Media Player Tracking Service' which the free version dosen't have. Any idea what ' Adobe Media Player Tracking Service' is and what it does ?
    regards

    Hi JavaIsLife,
Flash Media interactive Server and Adobe Media Player are two different products which can participate in a video streaming workflow.
Please check out this article http://www.adobe.com/devnet/mediaplayer/articles/amp_cdk_pt06_print.html .
Also curious to know where you read about the 'Adobe Media Player Tracking Service' feature in Flash Media Interactiver Server.

  • Is there some way one can change the port used by Adobe Media Player?

After I installed Adobe Media Player I am unable to access my IIS web site. Is there a way to hook-up Adobe Media Player to another port? I guess the problem started after installing Adobe Media Player.
    http://hodentek.blogspot.com/2009/04/adobe-media-player-and-iis-part-2.html
    http://hodentek.blogspot.com/2009/04/adobe-media-player-internet-information.html

Because I've my original response I've been getting email updates about this topic and decided to install Adobe Media Player and test myself.
On my main system (Windows XP SP3) IIS is not blocked when installing and running Adobe Media Player.  I suspect your problem may be related to something else entirely.  (Flash Media Server or frankly any other httpd could cause the issue you're experiencing).  (I can watch videos with the player and concurrently debug websites using http://localhost, http://localdomain:80 as well as http://localhost:80
I'd try to pin down exactly when the problem started happening and see what was installed.  It's also worth noting that there are a lot of malware programs that monitor / intercept and direct traffic on port 80, this can cause all sorts of havoc on XP with IIS.
If you happen to find that it is indeed Flash Media Server, their forums are here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash/flash_media_server
    Just my 2 cents
