HTML Banners in Signatures

I would like to include an HTML banner in my mail signatures. The process is relatively simple in MS Outlook, but I cant find an equivalent process in Mail. Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

I have discovered a workaround although far from satisfactory.
If I open a draft email on my iBook (which is IMAP and has a CSS / HTML signature) and save it into drafts, I can then open and edit this on my iPhone to send on. This does involve opening and saving lots of blank emails into my drafts folder which obviously isn't the best.
Has anyone come up with anything better?

I am trying out the trial version of Photoshop CS4 before spending money on something that may be beyond my ability.  Does anyone know if there is a book or website out there that can teach me how to do banners and signatures step-by-step?  Maybe CS4 isn't the right version of photoshop for my level of knowledge...I'd appreciate any input anyone could offer.  The attached image was done by a friend and this is the types of images I'd like to create.  Thanks!

  • Inserting HTML snippet in signature

Any easy way to include a countdown timer snippet in a signature block?

I have questions that you can perhaps answer regarding website building.
I've designed the Axleart website in iWeb which is Apple's easy to use but hard to customize program.
    http://www.axleart.com
IWeb uses java-script based photo albums which are nice to navigate through but hard to customize.
What I want is to add a html snippet (which creates a Paypal or other shopping cart button) in the caption of each photo in the album.
iWeb doesn't allow me to edit the html or Javascript directly but I can publish the site to a local folder, then edit it there, then upload it from there through ftp to my server.
I use a program called iWeb SEO Tool to add title tags and keywords and meta tags and google analytics code. It reads from the local folder then adds the info then uploads to the server.
Each time i re-edit the site in iWeb, iWeb erases all those tags and stuff (I think). Each time I open it in iWeb SEO Tool, it reapplies all the tags and stuff that I have saved in that program.
This page shows how Cyclosauraus has added paypal buttons to a photo album:
    http://www.cyclosaurus.com/iWeb3Widgets/PayPalBeGone/Photos.html
So before I try to edit the Javascript per Cyclosaurus' suggerstion, I have an important question:
If I add paypal buttons into the captions for the photos in the albums, will they get erased each time I re-edit in iWeb and make it too time consuming to be worthwhile? Is there a workaround for this like what iWeb SEO Tool does?

  • How do I remove the 2 dashed lines (dashes) from above my html signature (from file) appearing in new mail I write?

I have saved an HTML signature to file (as per Mozilla instruction).
When I write new mail the signature is present but it is preceded by 2 dashes.
I have no idea why and would like to have them removed please.

You are refering to the signature delimiter.
    '''what does the delimiter do?'''
    http://www.ehow.com/info_12071771_email-signature-delimiter.html
If the signature is placed directly after the reply and on top of the quote, it lacks the "-- " signature separator. That separator is used by Thunderbird to strip off the old signature when replying or changing identities. The signature becomes part of the message and can no longer be automatically removed (since it can't be identified using the seperator), causing a stacked signature

  • Random hidden HTML fragments in email signature

I've successfully added a HTML derived signature to my iPad which includes an image. The problem is through trial and error I have some how added extra spaces that I can't remove through the signature interface. These spaces can be removed when composing a new email, but this has to be done every time. I have tried 'Select All' and deleting text/ pasting new text, 'shake to undo'.
Even when the field is empty, the extra spaces are added to emails. You can see from the screenshot below that there is something in the field, but when adding the cursor, there is nothing to delete. A select all will only select a portion of the height of the textbox.
When I remove the extra space from a new email, it seems like it's a P tag, rather than just a regular carriage return/ new line. The height of the line is also greater than a regular new line.

I too am having this same issue on my iPhone 6+, inherited from my previous phone. At one point I demoed for a client how they can add HTML to their signature, but now I have a random bit of an HTML tag stuck in my signature, which appears when I email people who view messages in plain text. Also, if I view "full message headers" in most email clients or "show original" in Gmail, I can see the bit of offending HTML in my signature.
    I have tried:
    selecting all and deleting
selecting all and typing something new
deleting the email account and adding a new one
I would really like to solve this without having to reset all the settings on my phone.

  • Can you use HTML signature in webmail/SquirrelMail?

I tried to paste my HTML signature from Apple Mail into my account settings while logged into my server's webmail/SquirrelMail and it looks like it got converted to plain text immediately.
Is it possible for my webmail users to have HTML signatures?
    Thanks!

Both... if I do a copy/paste of the rendered HTML from the Signature setting in Apple Mail to the Signature option in SquirrelMail, all I get is plain text in the SquirrelMail Signature option and in the composition window.
If I copy the HTML source from TextWrangler into the Signature option in SquirrelMail, I see the HTML source both in the Signature option and in the composition window. (I sent a test email to myself and verified the recipient also sees HTML source, not rendered HTML.)
I guess I'm still trying to figure out if HTML signatures are possible with SquirrelMail, I haven't been able to find a definitive answer in the docs or their mailing list. They seem to have an anti-HTML fascination when it comes to email, which I understood and even agreed to at one time, but it's 2009...

  • Support html signature for apple.mail

Just include simple html editor for signatures on Apple.Mail

Thanks but this option not available in Snow Leopard :
    a. Your Apple Mail is set to “rich text” messaging format as opposed to “plain text.” This setting is found by opening up your Mac Mail program and going to Preferences > Composing.
    b.  Open up Mac Mail and go to Preferences > Signatures. If the box “Always match my default message font” is checked, this will over-ride any text in your email signature. Leave it unchecked to be sure you’re seeing the real signature styling.
    c. When following the steps in the tutorial I linked to above, be sure the webarchive file you use to replace your signature file with doesn’t include the “.webarchive” file extension. This will mess up your email signature.
Have done all these but won't work in Snow Leopard as saving .webarchive in :
home folder > Library > Mail > Signatures
    is not available any more...

  • Can I force mail to be sent in HTML format (ActiveSync, EX2010)

We use a corporate disclaimer, signature, logo at the end of all our emails, but when emails are sent via iPhone, the recipient only receives a "?" in place of the signature.
I'm assuming this is due to the message being sent out in either Rich Text or Plain Text.
Is there a way for me to have our corporate owned iPhones send messages in HTML so that this signature will appear in all outgoing email?  I have set my ActiveSync rules to allow HTML, but I'm thinking that is only for incoming, since this isn't working for me.
I appreciate your help in advance.

We are facing the same issue.  We have a transport rule that grabs the user's info out of Active Directory and populates the fields we tell it to and then adds an image of our company logo at the bottom.  We have looked at how other companies have done it and it seems like they are attaching several images to each message.  I would rather avoid that kind of overhead.
The signature works fine in Outlook, but when Apple users send a message, the link for the image shows up as a link instead of the image.  If you use any html formatting in the email, it gets sent as html and the signature shows up fine.  I tested this by just changing some text to bold.  Several of our execs use iPhones and Macs and asking them to do this just to 'trick' it into html format isn't going to work.

When adding in a small company logo to the signature, PC's / windows computers only receive signature and logo as attachments.

  • Calling PLSQL Stored Procedure From HTML Form Submit Button

    Hi there,
I am having a little difficulty with calling a stored procedure using an html form button. Here is the code I have right now...
    HTP.PRINT('<form action=ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete>');
    HTP.PRINT('<input type=''submit'' value='' Yes '' onClick=''document.getElementById("mypopup").style.display="none"''>');
HTP.PRINT('</form></div>');Here is the issue - I need to find a way to pass variables to this stored procedure so it know what data to operate on. This stored procedure will delete data for a specific database record and I must pass three variables to this procedure to make it work.
Lets call them class_number, term, conf These three variables will be passed and the data will be deleted and the person will see a confirmation screen once the delete query has been executed.
So ideally I would want: ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete(class_number, term, conf) and then the stored procedure would handle the rest!
Seems pretty simple but I am not sure how to make this happen... My thoughts were:
Pass the data to this html form (the three fields I need) in hidden variables. Then somehow pass these using POST method to the procedure and read using GET?
Can someone clarify what the best way to do this is? I have a feeling its something small I am missing - but I would really like some expert insight :-)
    Thanks so much in advance!

This stored procedure will delete data for a specific database record and I must pass three variables to this procedure to make it work. The browser generates a POST or a GET for that form action, that includes all the fields defined in that form. Let's say you define HTML text input fields name and surname for the form. The URL generated for that form's submission will be:
http://../ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete?name=value1&surname=value2The browser therefore submits the values of the form as part of the URL.
The web server receives this. It sees that the base URL (aka location) is serviced by Oracle's mod_plsql. It passes the URL to this module. This module builds a PL/SQL block and makes the call to Oracle. If we ignore the additional calls it makes (setting up an OWA environment for that Oracle session), this is how the call to Oracle basically looks like:
    begin
      ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete( name=> :value1, surname =>  :value2 );
end; Thus the PL/SQL web enabled procedure gets all the input fields from the HTML form, via its parameter signature. As you can define parameter values with defaults, you can support variable parameter calls. For example, let's say our procedure also have a birthDate parameter that is default null. The above call will still work (from a HTML form that does not have a date field). And so will the following URL and call that includes a birth date:
    URL:
    http://../ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete?name=value1&surname=value2&birthdate=2000/01/01
    PL/SQL call:
    begin
      ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete( name=> :value1, surname =>  :value2, birthdate => :value3 );
end; There is also another call method you can use - the flexible 2 parameter interface. In this case the PL/SQL procedure name in the URL is suffixed with an exclamation mark. This instructs the mod_plsql module to put all input field names it received from the web browser into a string array. And put all the values for those fields in another string array. Then it calls your procedure with these arrays as input.
Your procedure therefore has a fixed parameter signature. Two parameters only. Both are string arrays.
The advantage of this method is that your procedure can dynamically deal with the web browser's input - any number of fields. The procedure's signature no longer needs to match the HTML form's signature.
You can also defined RESTful mod_plsql calls to PL/SQL. In which case the call format from the web browser looks different and is handled differently by mod_plsql.
All this (and more) is detailed in the Oracle manuals dealing with mod_plsql - have a search via http://tahiti.oracle.com (Oracle Documentation Portal) for the relevant manuals for the Oracle version you are using.
Alternatively, simply download and install Oracle Apex (Application Express). This is a web development and run-time framework and do all the complexities for you - including web state management, optimistic locking, security and so on.

  • How to make agency-level HTML banner ads

I've done a ton of Flash banner ads at agency-level over the years, but I'm trying to figure out how to create html banners now, in addition.
Here are the HTML Ad Spec requirements:
    - HTML code cannot exceed 3k
    - 2 images maximum, total file size of images cannot exceed 20k
In Flash, I've used these extensions to publish and am finding it's difficult to meet the required specs by the ad hosts:
    1. CreateJS  (creates a small html file (3k or less), but requires to be linked to js files which are double what my swf would be)
    2. Swiffy   (puts out just one nice simple html file, but it's almost triple the size of my swf, coming in at 86kb)
    I've also used:
Edge Animate (creates a html file, but also links to js files that are over double what my swf would be).
Either my animations have to become way less complex or I'm missing something in this new world of html animated ads.  It seems there's little findable information on how to make html banners at the agency-level.
Can anyone educate me or point me in the right direction?

The easy answer is those libraries are full of functionality "you might use". Those libraries are not built like libs such as Modernizr where you can select the exact functionality you need to reduce the library size.
You're left with two options from there, neither are really ideal.
    1) You can hand code the JavaScript you require. Libraries help by providing extensive functionality beyond your absolute needs as well as cross-platform tweaks so your results are expectedly similar in all browsers. By writing your own code (plus required tweaks) you can drastically reduce the JavaScript size (amongst minification and gzip). That puts all the hard work on you which may not even be possible or feasible in your projects timeline.
    2) You can rely on newer HTML5 elements like Canvas, CSS3 and code from option #1. There are many effects in your example (directional blur, rotation, etc) that aren't easy to pull off but with the help of something like Canvas you can at least reduce the amount of JavaScript required. Think of it like a BitmapData object you can update at high speed that's mobile friendly. That aside, not all desktops users are guaranteed to support it and here comes the fallback bloated code.
Your ads compatibility requirements will guide you on either path. I'd probably opt to look forward with basic fallback (to a static image) and go route #2 with Canvas. If so, here's one of many tutorials/blogs that can get you started:

  • Signature with logo

    Hi All,
I would like to use my company´s logo in my signature. But I don´t want to send it as attachment every time I send an e-mail. In thunderbird I could select an html file as signature which just links to an image on our server. Is there any similar way to do this kind of stuff in lion´s mail.app?
    Thanks
    Timo

    Thanks for the reply Tony.
Yes I know. This is what I´m doing right now. But the image is sent as an attachment. So every mail I send (and receive in bcc) contains the image as an attachment. Resulting in loads of duplicate images in my account plus I cannot filter for sent mails with "real" attachments. Not very useful. That´s why I just want to use a html file containing my contact data and a link to our logo on our server as a signature.
    Cheers
    Timo

  • Certified digital signature

Does anyone know how I can assign a digital signature to a PDF document, a word or pages document or an email message using Snow leopard?
    Thanks
    OF

You can download Adobe Digital Signature here.
    http://www.adobe.com/security/partners_cds.html
    Goggle "Digital Signature for more"
Also, if you have Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Pro it's built-in.
EDIT: There's nothing in SL and also note that not all institutions accept digital signatures.

  • Adding an Image to Email Signature

I use Outlook Web Access. How do I embed an image in my email's signature?

    Hi,
As far as I know, OWA doesn't include the ability to insert images into signatures.
However, you can create a signature that contains an image, provided the image is on a web server accessible from the Internet and you paste the rendered HTML into the signature. For more information, please refer:
    http://www.slipstick.com/exchange/web-access/add-an-image-to-your-signature-in-owa/
Note: This method will not work if you have the S/MIME Control installed. Images will be sent as text links. Check in the Options, Email Security section.

  • Can't find my .mailsignature files anywhere to create html sig

I am trying to create an html custom email signature for mac mail - everywhere I have read says I need to create a 'dummy' signature then edit it. Apparently my new signature should be in:
    Documents/com~apple~mail/Data/MailData/Signatures/
i can get to 'signatures' folder fine, but my signature is not there... all I have is 'signaturesByAccount.plist' - i don't know what that is.
I have tried quitting the program and restarting... i'm also the only user of the computer.
I'm frustrated as I spent time making the html signature.

Did you look in the "Videos" app on your iPhone?
It should be there.  If not, check your photos.
If it's not in either (very unlikely), swipe your iPhone's home screen left-to-right and type the movie's name into the search bar.
