HTML Conversion Error
I just installed Kablink Teaming 2.1 on SLES11_X64 and can not view uploaded files. I get the following error.
HTML Conversion Error
Error: com.sun.star.connection.NoConnectException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
I checked and made sure I was pointing to the right place for fonts, and all my folders had correct rights. Everything looks good, and I can download the files, I just can't use the view feature.
Any help?
There is information about WebDAV and edit-in-place using various
versions of Office on Windows 7 in the Novell Teaming 2.1 readme. You
might want to check that out, if you haven't already.
In terms of using Novell's OO edition for document conversion, it's my
experience that Novell's version of OO installed on Linux does not
contain all the features of OO regarding document conversion.
Specifically, the installation guide has a section entitled "Installing
OpenOffice.org as the Document Converter for Teaming" that talks about
when running the OO installer, to use the custom option and select ALL
optional components. Some of these components are additional conversion
handlers for OO that have not been included in the version of OO Novell
includes with Linux.
Having said that, you are correct in pointing out that the Stellent
converters used in Novell Teaming provide a much richer set of
converters than does OO used with Kablink Teaming. That's one of the
benefits of the Novell Teaming product vs. Kablink Teaming.

SelectOneMenu inside h:dataTable gives conversion error
Hi guys,
I'm enduring quite alot of misery attempting to put selectOneMenu UI components in my h:dataTable. Due to the 30000 character restriction, I can only submit my view and backing bean and DTO and the converter (even though the total characters of my files is only 26,583? [cat * | wc -c]). Perhaps you can figure out a way I can send me all my files and you'll be able to test it much easier.
The jist of the problem is that I get a conversion error between the selectOneMenu and the backing DTO of the <h:dataTable>. After I define a converter I get a ClassCastException.
My BIGGEST question is "Why do I even need a converter?", the selectItem(s)/options are hardcoded label/value Strings and so is the the property of the dataTable row's backing DTO!!!
Here's the files, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I'm running JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
Thanks.
(All these files are in the same package so you can just put them all in a directory named "example"):

Numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
I'm having problems inserting a value from a date picker field (DD-MON-YYYY HH MI )
i'm submitting this value to a packaged procedure that accepts this field as VARCHAR2 .
on the insert, i do a to_date( P_DATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH:MI PM' )
and i get the numeric conversion error.
If I change the to_date on the procedure side, I get the :could not read the end of the format mask - which I've found threads about on this site.
I've tried using HH24 and different formats, but I get one of the two above errors on the insert.
If I don't fill in the datepicker field at all, it works fine.
help is appreciated !

Hi,
I have a file where fields are wrapped with ".
=========== file sample
"asdsa","asdsadasdas","1123"
"asdsa","asdsadasdas","1123"
"asdsa","asdsadasdas","1123"
"asdsa","asdsadasdas","1123"
==========
I am having a .net method to remove the wrap characters and write out a file without wrap characters.
======================
asdsa,asdsadasdas,1123
asdsa,asdsadasdas,1123
asdsa,asdsadasdas,1123
asdsa,asdsadasdas,1123
======================
the .net code is here.
========================================
public static string RemoveCharacter(string sFileName, char cRemoveChar)
object objLock = new object();
//VirtualStream objInputStream = null;
//VirtualStream objOutStream = null;
FileStream objInputFile = null, objOutFile = null;
lock(objLock)
try
objInputFile = new FileStream(sFileName, FileMode.Open);
//objInputStream = new VirtualStream(objInputFile);
objOutFile = new FileStream(sFileName.Substring(0, sFileName.LastIndexOf('\\')) + "\\" + Guid.NewGuid().ToString(), FileMode.Create);
//objOutStream = new VirtualStream(objOutFile);
int nByteRead;
while ((nByteRead = objInputFile.ReadByte()) != -1)
if (nByteRead != (int)cRemoveChar)
objOutFile.WriteByte((byte)nByteRead);
finally
objInputFile.Close();
objOutFile.Close();
return sFileName.Substring(0, sFileName.LastIndexOf('\\')) + "\\" + Guid.NewGuid().ToString();
==================================
however when I run the bulk load utility I get the error
=======================================
Bulk load data conversion error (type mismatch or invalid character for the specified codepage) for row 1, column 3 (NumberOfMultipleMatches).
==========================================
the bulk insert statement is as follows
=========================================
BULK INSERT Temp
FROM '<file name>' WITH
FIELDTERMINATOR = ','
, KEEPNULLS
==========================================
Does anybody know what is happening and what needs to be done ?
PLEASE HELP
Thanks in advance
VikramTo load that file with BULK INSERT, use this format file:
9.0
4
1 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\"" 0 "" ""
2 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\",\"" 1 col1 Latin1_General_CI_AS
3 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\",\"" 2 col2 Latin1_General_CI_AS
4 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\"\r\n" 3 col3 Latin1_General_CI_AS
Note that the format file defines four fields while the fileonly seems to have three. The format file defines an empty field before the first quote.
Or, since you already have a .NET program, use a stored procedure with table-valued parameter instead. I have an example of how to do this here:

Debug weblogic.properties conversion error
All,
I'm attempting to use the web console application/Convert weblogic.properties link to perform a propterties file conversion.
I'm getting a conversion error when converting our current weblogic.properties file. This properties file is working fine in WL5.1. The web console begins the conversion process ok, but it fails before completion (html err msg below).
I'm trying to determine the cause of this error, but there's very little output reported to the console, except a couple of warnings. Also, I don't see any log files.
I do get what looks like some partial conversion results in my new domain directory in fileRealm.properties. There are recognizable properties from the converted weblogic.properties file in here.
Has anyone encountered/surmounted similiar difficulty? Any debugging tips would be appreciated. TIA.
JohnH
p.s. The output/error message on the html page looks like:
New Domain name is MyDomain-1

Converting CORBA IIOP properties

Hi experts,
We have an error coming for the field as 0ref_doc_no as alpha conversion error. We are in BI 7 .Transformations we are using.
How to rectify this error ?
Regards,
Bhadri M.Hi,
Maintain select the alpha conversion ... We need to find a cause and need to rectify in the source, ...
First of all, the BI system throws the error for special characters

Date field - no date entered - conversion error
Hi,
i've a input text field with a datepattern attached in my jsp, whose requrired attribute is set to false. If i submit the page and no date is entered, JSF returns "Conversion error occured" for the date field.
For testing purposes i made a simple JSP which contains only this date field and a reload button, which only submits the form. When the button is clicked the conversion error is displayed as described.
What am i doing wrong here?
thx

any help? :(
Edited by: hassava on Jun 21, 2008 7:42 AMIf you're using a non-standard type as SelectItem value (e.g. not a String or a Number), then you need to supply a Converter which converts between the desired Object type and String. You can find a lot of pointers in this article: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/09/objects-in-hselectonemenu.html].

Regards,
SreedharAre you sure you have posted this question in the correct forum? I don't see how this is Web Dynpro ABAP related. You refer to JCo cache and Java style class names. I think perhaps you actually should have posted this question in the Web Dynpro Java forum?

Arithmetical errors or conversion errors found in routine ROUTINE_0001recor
hi,
I am loading data from data source 2LIS_13_VDKON (Condition values) but get an error message from the PSA:
"Arithmetical errors or conversion errors found in routine ROUTINE_0001 record 98 RSAU 507"
I see nothing wrong in the mentioned record in the PSA. What is wrong? My load gets red...
I write a formula in update rules in this passion
IF "(Billing Quantity SU 0, KNVAL / INV_QTY SU, 0)"
But the thing is the system says it is correct but in complete.
I put . pulstop but it shows same error please it is high priority please give me replay.
Regards
LakshmiHi hema,
Just check the record no. 98 in the PSA for the applicable formula
Just try to debug the update rules fix the break-points in the routine and try to analyze the error.........
Debug update rules:

Also, I am trying to upload POs for Spare Parts and that's when I get the error. But when I try to use other materials like FGs, everything is ok. I can proceed with the upload without any problem

Hi,
I need to convert Smartform data stream into HTML format and
pass the same to Webdynpro application where it will be displayed on the browser.
I have specified Smartform output format as 'XSF output+HTML'.
Use of BSP application is ruled out due to certain limitations.
The FM CONVERT_OTF returns data in ASCII or PDF format only.
Can any one tell some Function Module name to convert
Smartform data to HTML format or any other way out?
thanks.check out this link

How to custom a conversion error in JSF page in JDeveloper
According to the book "Core JavaServer Faces" p213 (fifth edition), if I add the following line to messages.properties file, and specifiy it in the faces-config.xml and .jsp file, then the displayed conversion error message should be my tailored one instead of the default. However, I still get the default error message. Besides, I didn't find "CONVERSION" variable in UIInput class. Is the book wrong? And what's the correct way?
javax.faces.component.UIInput.CONVERSION=Please correct your inputI didn't choose any special in JDeveloper IDE. I just selected "new" to create a file called "message.properties" and put the line there. I didn't specify converters excepts declaring the type in the Jave Beans. I guess the converting is done by the JSF framework automatically. It must be a JSF converter since I created the page as a JSF page.

How can I trap & display HTML syntax errors in mx:HTML at run time?
I am loading HTML pages into an mx:HTML component in an AIR application. If the HTML contains errors, they show up in the trace window in debug mode. I'd like to trap that information so I can tell the usere that there are errors (and what they are) in the production version of the application. How can I get at those errors?
I found it myself how to do it. The error says that it is not able to find the reference object i.e it is asking us to refer to the table. The following piece of code will solve this problem. Have to implement this in WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view. This thing works comrades enjoy...
DATA : lr_cmp_usage TYPE REF TO if_wd_component_usage,
lr_if_controller TYPE REF TO iwci_salv_wd_table,
lr_cmdl TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_config_table,
lr_col TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column.
DATA : node_year TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
elem_year TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
stru_year TYPE if_alv_layout=>element_importing,
item_year LIKE stru_year-i_current_year,
lf_string TYPE char(x),
DATA: lr_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column.
DATA: lr_column_header TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column_header.
DATA: lr_column_settings TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_column_settings.
Get the entered value from the input field of the screen
node_year = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'IMPORTING_NODE' ).
elem_year = node_year->get_element( ).
elem_year->get_attribute(
EXPORTING
name = 'IMPORT_NODE-PARAMETER'
IMPORTING
value = L_IMPORT_PARAM ).
WRITE L_IMPORT_PARAM TO lf_string.
Get the reference of the table
lr_cmp_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_alv( ).
IF lr_cmp_usage->has_active_component( ) IS INITIAL.
lr_cmp_usage->create_component( ).
ENDIF.
lr_if_controller = wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv( ).
lr_column_settings = lr_if_controller->get_model( ).
get column by specifying column name.
IF lr_column_settings IS BOUND.
lr_column = lr_column_settings->get_column( 'COLUMN_NAME').
set Header Text as null
lr_column_header = lr_column->get_header( ).
lr_column_header->set_text( lf_string ).
endif.
