I am installing HTML DB on a different ORACLE_HOME on Oracle 9.2.0.4 database. I am getting the following error in
Enter HTMl DB Configuration Information window. The error mentions that SQLException error occurred while connection to database. On the other terminal I was able to log into database with information supplied. I would appreciate any help.

Error running htmldbins.sql script in a HTML DB installation

I did all the pre-install specified in the documentation. the script htmldbins.sql fails when the following error occurs:

HTML DB 10g installation problem on linux HTTP-503 ORA-604

I have a problem after the installation of HTML DB from the linux 10g R2 companion image.
I installed HTML DB and HTTP server in one go, on an new system that only has the default orcl database installed. I run Red Hat enterprise linux on a x86_64 system.
The HTML DB installation took a long time, but gave no errors.
When I access the http://hostname:7777/pls/htmldb url I get an This server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.-error.
But :7777 works fine and give me the http server default page.
In my Apache error log I see the following errors:
[Thu Dec 8 13:28:42 2005] [error] [client 10.11.121.20] [ecid: 1134048522:10.14.66.23:28193:0:1,0] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/htmldb HTTP-503 ORA-604
I looked at several internet sources, played with my marvel.conf and my dads.conf but to no avail. My oracle home is different from my html db home. There is no ./network/admin/tnsnames.ora in my HTML_DB _HOME. Should there be? One solution in the faq even told me to copy the htmldb tnsnames.ora over my db tnsnames.ora, but the installation did not create one for me.
When should I use a dads.conf instead of marvel.conf? I don't understand the need for this second file. I tried to also use it, because some solutions and the post-installation instructions hinted on doing it. But then I get a different error in the logs about a double DAD.
When I login through sqlplus in the orcl database with the HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER and my password (that was created during the installation) it works, but I don't see any tables (yet?). So the account is not locked. But should I see some tables when I do select table_name from user_tables; ?
I probably missing something obvious here, but I'm a bit of a oracle newby.

It worked.
I stopped all oracle process and services.
I then logged out and in again as oracle to see if the unset stuck.
I then started my listener, databases, isqlnet and em.
I then started the httpd with:
${HTMLDB_HOME}/opmn/bin/opmnctl start
opmnctl: opmn started
${HTMLDB_HOME}/opmn/bin/opmnctl startproc
this still gave some errors and the httpd was not started:

Problem solved. I will try to fine tune it so I'll get the basic LANG setting back in linux but without the .UTF-8 postfix.

Bridge CC, unsuccessful manual installation for output module.

I have manually installed the Adobe Output Module for Bridge CC. I followed EVERY STEP in the directions from http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
After installation, I am receiving the "I/O error". I have googled this error, and it appears that many are having this same issue, and no one has a solution to fix the problem. I am currently taking an online graphics course, and this first assignment should only take 1 hour...I am now up to 8 hours of trying to troubleshoot this and figure this out...and I'm wasting my Labor Day. I'm so frustrated and almost to the point of canceling my Creative Cloud membership AND my online class since I'm already running into problems with Assignment #1. I do have the CS3 program, but I do not want to go through this class with such an outdated program.
Does Adobe know if they are working to fix this problem, or if it will ever be fixed? If they are in the process of fixing it, do they know approximately how long it will take? Can someone please offer a solution or shine some light on the topic. I am working on a MacBook Pro laptop, Mac OS X version 10.6.8.

This is not true, you should be able to download CS6 for free with your CC subscription:

Oracle BI Installation Issues.

I am new to OBIEE and installing it in my Windows 7 32-bit PC.
I completed all prerequisites, Loopback adapter installation and RCU installation successfully. I have some errors in Configuration process step 13 of 14 in OBIEE installation.
Some processes failed in the installation are,
1. Setting up BI Publisher security
2. opmnctrl start coreapplication obiccs1, obis1, obips1, obijh1.
Is there any issues future if i continue the installation with these errors.

Looking for installation manual for Airport / Bluetooth in Mac Mini (PPC)

Hi,
Last year I purchased a Mac Mini as an additional Mac. At the time, Wireless, and bluetooth were not available as a complete package from resellers. I bought the Airport / Bluetooth kit for the Mac Mini and want to install it.
I have been searching for the Manual to download. Can anyone help me.
BTW, I have a technical background, and have designed/built logic and RF electronics. But I want a guide, so as I do not assume.

Problem during BAM installation

Hi,
I am trying to install the BAM 10.1.3.3.i am following the steps mentioned in the installation guide present at

During Installation i am getting the error as
"Install cann't connect to the database located at parameter #1,sdchs20i189.corp.siebel.com:1521. Please ensure that the hostname, port and service name are correct and the database and its listner at tis location are up ans running"
I have checked my database and services. all are running and up. All the data enter for the installation is maching with TNS host and port for my database.
I am able to bring up the URL of my database and do the modification. Still during installation of BAM it is giving the error.
I have uninstall the database and the BAM and reinstall the database but couldn't able to install the BAM.
Please help me on this regard

HTML DB 2.0 SQL Workshop doesn't work with Firefox

I have installed version 2, and all is well in I.E, however if I use firefox (1.0.x, 1.4.x, 1.6.x) it is impossible to browse or create objects as the required fields and buttons do not appear.
I have tried this on a number of v2 HTML DB installations and the behaviour is the same.
I haven't noted many other posts on this so I am just wondering whether it is only me having the problem, or if everyone is still on 1.6

Yeah, the version numbering 1.4 and 1.6 are the alpha and beta builds of Firefox.
After doing a complete clean re-install of FIrefox 1.07 (release version) and a new profile, I still get the same behaviour. However, testing on htmldb.oracle.com, I get the correct behaviour, so it appears to be a problem with the version 2 installations I have done. May be HTTP server version.

I successfully downloaded Flash Player again (the older version is all my eMAC OS 10.4.11 can handle) but I cannot play anything. Is upgrading to 10.5 my only choice?

Every time I try to watch a video or movie, I get a notice telling me to get the new Adobe Flash Player. After trying to download it a number of times and failed, I uninstalled the version that came with OSX (as instructed as some point). That did not work.
I then re-installed the version that I had and am still in the same predicament.
I now even have regular sites (e.g. dictionary) telling me that I need to add plugins. When I click on "add" I am always directed to the Flash Player download.
QuickTime says I don't have the proper plugin but my computer says I have 7.6.4 and there are no problems.
The only plugin that shows (無効 - invalid) is Gecko.
Is it not possible to watch anything in this environment?
Do I need to cancel my movie subscriptions?

Are you successfully install, i can not see it in your "more system detail..." only real player plug in ?

Java Card Please Help!

Please I am doing my final year project on secure mobile application using Java Card Technology.
I need to write and an application that can send SMS on a SIM card to another SIM card with the same application. The application will have a server side which manage the storage of messages and at the same time communicate information to the client on the SIM remotely. I am suppose to use wi-fi (TCP/IP) for transmission.
Can anybody please give me ideas and possible working codes and simulators.
I mean step by step procedure of how to start.
