HTML DB1.6 installation --Kjell Ove, please reply :-)

Question

Hello,
After installed the Oracle 10g db, I tried two ways to install html db:
1. in the oracle 10g bin directory, I click the sqlplus icon, then a dos terminal show up:(I enter the following info, and get the errors)
Enter user-name: sysdba
Enter password:sysdba
ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Enter user-name: sysdba
Enter password:SYSDBA
ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Enter user-name: SYS
Enter password:
ERROR:
ORA-28009: connection to sys should be as sysdba or sysoper
2.I went to the dos cmd. line by click the "start",
enetr some info, and got some error:
SQL> Set ORACLE_SID=MYORACLE
SP2-0735: unknown SET option beginning "ORACLE_SID..."
SQL> sqlplus /nolog
SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "sqlplus /n..." - rest of line ignored.
SQL> connect sys as sysdba
Enter password:
ERROR:
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
The second option I tried only after I reinstalled the OracleClient10g. If I didn't reintall it, then the error will be sqlplus is an unknown command.
The password sysdba is the only password I set when I install Oracle db.
Any suggestion?

I just got chance to test my intallation again. Thank you so much for your reply.
The following is the result I got:
1.>>Are you trying to access the http server from within the local pc?
Currently, I'm testing on my local pc. I need try to get the application accessiable from remote.
2. >>Can you access the http server on http://localhost:7777
no, it's not assessiable.
3. >>Are you sure 7777 is the correct port for the http server.
(check %ORACLE_HOME%\install\portlist.ini for the portnumber for the http server)
my file portlist.ini is :
Ultra Search HTTP port number =5620
Enterprise Manager Agent Port =
iSQL*Plus HTTP port number =5560
Enterprise Manager Console HTTP Port (myoracle) = 5500
Enterprise Manager Agent Port (myoracle) = 1830
So I guess the http server port for my pc is 5500
And I typied: http://localhost:5500. the secreen shows:
Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (9.0.4.0.0)
Welcome! Your server is now running and you can start deploying your J2EE 1.3 applications
I got the a question in this page. For the Test Samples in this page:
the jsp file is not running. the serverlet can work.
Also If I ping 5500, it shows request time out

Check out the %ORACLE_HOME%\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf.
Look for the ServerName parameter in this file. Does it say localhost? If not, substitute localhost with the hostname described here in your browser URL.
I did not find Apache under my oracle db installation directory. There is a dir. called "config" and it's empty. Is something worng about this ? My p.c. o.s.wondows xp 2002 professional.
5. >>Also, verify that the http server is up running by typing the following in cmd prompt.
cd %ORACLE_HOME%\opmn\bin
opmnctl status
Where I run the above command. it shows:
'opmnctl' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I didn't find the file opmnctl. There is file called ons. I run ons:
ons: Error: ORACLE_HOME is not set
6.Would you please tell how to set ORACLE_HOME ?
7. I installed oracle 10g, html db 1.6, and oracle 10g client. Do I need install oracle 10g companion cd?
