Html files on the local filesystem are not displayed anymore (white page, no error message)

firefox-15.0.1.tar.bz2 (Linux version)
e.g. file:///home/user/test.html , which displays in ff14

I found at least a workaround: When I add the following line in the html code:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
the content is displayed.
How was it in FF14? Was the content type derived from the file name extension?
So my question re-defines in: How can I change the default behaviour of Firefox if no meta-tag with the content-type is supplied?

Video chapters are not displayed anymore

Since a lot of weeks and many ios updates the video chapters are not displayed anymore. The thumbnails disappered and the chapetr names are gone.
Before ios 5 both did work.
Is there a solution?

HT201250 The back ups are not displaying when i enter the time machine

I'm trying to restore my files to my new MacBook I just purchased. I have the external hard drive connected and entered the Time Machine. But, the back-ups are not displayed "in pink on the right side" as indicated in the directions. I do see the back up folders when I open up the hard drive using Finder. Any ideas on how I can restore my files?

I am trying to record a web application with open script.
After recording the images are not displayed when playing back the script.
Are there any option we have to enable to get the images.

As per default OpenScript will ignore any URL that contains an image, to change the filters you can:
View -> OpenScript Preferences > Record -> HTTP Module -> Select the URL filters Tab to add/remove or edit any filters
You can un-check the first one on the list to enable image recording.

All files in the external HDD are not able to open

HI guys,
I have an external hard drive for backup. All files in it can no longer be read properly.
I can still see all the folders and files as usual, but when I double click to open them, they are not readable any more, docx, jpg, pdf etc...
I tried to verify disk and repair disk, but not able to do it since the hard drive has been converted to NTFS format for some unknown reason.
It contais a lot of precious pictures and documents. Any solutions would be appreciated.

It looks like something went wrong with your HDD, it might be either physical (hardware) or logical (software) issue. The worst thing you can do in that case is try to "repair" the HDD with different utilities and eventually corrupt it even further. The best option is to find a Data Recovery company (like http://www.denverdatarecovery.net/ for instance) and send them your disk for free diagnostics so they could tell you if data is recoverable and how complex it might be.

When I try to sync photos to i pad from my pc the photos are not synced and I get an error message "could not sync 113 photos see i tunes"

When I try to sync my photos from my pc (windows 7) I get an error message that could it could not sync 113 photos of 1170 or so and that I should see itunes. Many of the the photos that are synced are mixed intothe wrong albums. I have deleted the ipad cache numerous times; meticuliously reorganized my albums, tried to add albums both individually as well as sync all. I am beside myself.

I downloaded FF update twice but the web sites are not displayed despite my being on the page. Also rebooted.

The web pages (tried different web sites) are not being displayed but the line at the bottom of the screen indicates that I am indeed on the web site. Previously, before I downloaded the the nerw version of FF, displaying of the web pages seemed slow unless I ensured by cursor was "off" the space on the screen that shows the web page.
I have checked with another browser and the web sites I went to are working and are displayed in that browser.

The javascript functions are working correctly, but still get scripting error messages

When you open or run any javascript functions in this form, error messages pop up, but functions work correctly. Anyone that can help me get rid of error messages? Screenshots are attached.

Firefox 5 opens mutiple web browsers and does not display homepage-white page only

I use windows 7 starter. When I start Firefox 5 it keeps opening firefox web browsers, up to 50 at a time. I did try the sugestions in the help area of firefox, but it still happens. The browser also opens on a white page with nothing on it. I was asked to upgrade to firefox 6 but I refused becuase I use NoDoFollow and seoquake and the system said that those adons are not compatible with firefox6.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well. 
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

The google suggestions when I type in the search box are not clickable anymore since I installed Firefox 4. Why could that be?

It used to be when I typed in the Google search field at the top of the screen, a list of suggestions would appear. When the suggestion matched my search I would stop typing and click on it. Then the search would start. After installing Firefox 4 the suggestions still show up but nothing happens when I click on them. I have to complete entering it and then click on the search button. Any ideas?

I am trying to set up new folders under another e-mail in my inbox. The folder names are not displaying under the e-mail name. How can I get them to appear?

In my mail program on my Mac Book Pro I cannot get new folders to appear / be listed under a second e-mail account. They show up at the bottom of the window but not at the top as do the other folders in the initial e-mail account. How can I get my folders to appear?

- It does not make any difference what ID was used for setup.
- I would delete the email account from the iPod and then Goog for how to set up the account for yur particular provider. Example is: setup earthlink email on iphone
YOU can also go to your provider's support site and they should have instructions.

Font are not displayed anymore with Mavericks update, any idea ?

Imposible to have the correct fonts displayed with the last update.

it's OK on Ibook author
Note that before the update of Mavericks everything was perfectly OK.
