*** .html formatting looks funny

I'm trying to do a 1-page flyer for a sale for my company and export it as .html in order to do an email blast. I'm finding that when I export, upload it to my site and then look at it, the formatting is all off. In Safari the background images and text etc. don't line up at all. In Firefox it looks even worse. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm just working in Pages and then choosing file>export as .html. I'm then dropping both the .html file and folder onto my server. Anyone had this problem before?
Thanks in advance!

No, you are doing the right thing. The problem is that Pages' HTML export is not that great.
You have two possible solutions:
1. Use another HTML editor than Pages.
2. Simplify the document to make sure it only has features that display well in Pages HTML export.

  • Pdfs attached to my incoming emails come in what looks to me like html format of a pdf

    how do I view a pdf email attachmet that comes in html format?

    Dear Pat,
    I have solved the problem.
    My email program has three options to click on for any attachment:
    click on the attachment;
    click on "Download";
    click on "View".
    I had tried View and the attachment itself and got that screenshot above, neither of which were any good to me.
    Then I tried Download and the attachment downloaded itself as a .pdf, which of course I was able to open.
    Thanks for your time and patience.

  • Physical page is not the same in HTML format

    I am using Oracle 6i to develop some reports. While running this reports using the developer, the logical page is the same size as the physical page.
    When generating the same reports in HTML format the physical pages do not seem to be the same as the logical pages, since the contents of one page is being printed in two pages, whereas using the developer the report will print only in one page. I look at the Layout Model properties and I have set it in the following way :
    Layout Main Section
    Width : 8.5
    height : 11
    Horizontal Panels per PAge 1
    VErtical Panels per page : 1
    Orientation Default
    Report Width : 80
    Report Height : 66
    Any Help will be appreciated

    Open you QuickTime movie, go to window and select Show movie properties, select videotrack and change Transperancy (low left) and select Composition in stead of "none - allow dithering" from the drop menu. See if this helps.

  • Unable to receive email in HTML format on BB Torch 9860 with BIS

    I recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
    Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
    Appreciate if anyone could help me with this.

  • HTML report looks different than REPORTS PREVIEWER

    I am having a weird problem with my reports. My reports look just fine in the Oralce Reports Developer live previewer. However when I look at the Report Server generated HTML format of the same report, the label on the right side of the page gets truncated. When I change the justification of this label to left justified as opposed to the current setting, then it appears fine. I need this label to be right justified to align with the currency fields below it. Is this an Oracle Bug? Is there something I can do without having to try to layout my report all over again.
    Thanks for any advice in advance.

    Hi
    The output shown on the live previewer will be different then the output generated through server becuase live previewer uses different resolution and fonts. We have not heard of any truncation issue in html output. You nedd to have a proper printer installed which shall be accessible to Report server i.e. if if the Report server owner has the proviledges to print to that printer. Try running Report runtime in batch mode with the same reports to check the Report output. If you can get it right in rwrun60, you will get the same output through Report server also.
    Thanks

  • Freeze Spreadsheet header in Web Analysis Report (HTML format)

    Hello,
    I want to know if there is any way to freeze the spreadsheet header in Web Analysis. I know it can be done if the report is opened through Web Analysis Studio. However, when the user opens it in HTML format, the header will not be freeze.

    I don't believe you can do this. We ran into the same issue last summer and it left our long scrolling dashboards useless as you couldn't see what row you were looking at once the row headers had left the screen. We talked about having some dashboards launch from workspace and others from Web Analysis but this was messy and we wanted them to one-stop shop in Workspace.
    The answer for us was to put a Check Box on the right hand side and the users only select the amount of members that fill up their screen. For instance, if we had 20 columns of data (accounts or scenarios) and only 5 were visible at one time, they would only select 5 to view at any given time.
    As far as column headers, we haven't had any complaints when those leave the screen.
    This was a huge issue for us but luckily we came up with a workaround that seems to have worked for all of our users thus far.

  • Can I force mail to be sent in HTML format (ActiveSync, EX2010)

    We use a corporate disclaimer, signature, logo at the end of all our emails, but when emails are sent via iPhone, the recipient only receives a "?" in place of the signature.
    I'm assuming this is due to the message being sent out in either Rich Text or Plain Text.
    Is there a way for me to have our corporate owned iPhones send messages in HTML so that this signature will appear in all outgoing email?  I have set my ActiveSync rules to allow HTML, but I'm thinking that is only for incoming, since this isn't working for me.
    I appreciate your help in advance.

    We are facing the same issue.  We have a transport rule that grabs the user's info out of Active Directory and populates the fields we tell it to and then adds an image of our company logo at the bottom.  We have looked at how other companies have done it and it seems like they are attaching several images to each message.  I would rather avoid that kind of overhead.
    The signature works fine in Outlook, but when Apple users send a message, the link for the image shows up as a link instead of the image.  If you use any html formatting in the email, it gets sent as html and the signature shows up fine.  I tested this by just changing some text to bold.  Several of our execs use iPhones and Macs and asking them to do this just to 'trick' it into html format isn't going to work.

  • Exporting data from a html format into database

    Hello:
    Maybe someone can help me. I wrote a Test Stand program and save the test results in the html format everyone liked be able to access the data thru a web page but now we want to save the data to a database witch I was able to do. I need import the files save in html to the database. Does any knows how to do this or at least convert into a .txt or .csv format

    Hey Toro,
    Unfortunately there is no utility that will parse your HTML format files into your DataBase. This is primarily because the report files don't have all the information that is stored in the database. The data stored in the database is quite complex. So you might have to resort to manually inserting the fields, although this process is quite tedious. Also you cannot really convert your HTML files into .csv file, just because once a report is created TestStand doesn't know what data fields of the HTML file is important or not.
    I'll place a product suggestion over to R&D to maybe look into creating a utility for our future releases.

  • How to send a mail in html format from a send mail workflow node ?

    Dear all,
    Do you know if it is possible to send an e-mail in HTML format (instead of RAW) from a "send mail" node in a workflow ?  ... if "yes", please, let me know.
    (I need to do that because I want to use the "href" tag to insert an hyperlink inside the e-mail)
    - I haven't found any parameter to specify the format of the e-mail.
    - Inside SCOT I tried to change the parameters for the SMTP node... without success.
    - I don't want to use a task calling the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND.
    Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas!
    Have you tried to set "Output Format" for "RAW Text" to HTM in SCOT.
    If HTM is missing in your dropdown-list, you could check out table SXCONVERT2. Copy the line with category T/format TXT, and change the format from TXT to HTM. The existing function
    SX_OBJECT_CONVERT__T.TXT does not need to be changed. Now you should be able to choose HTM in SCOT. You will probably need som HTML-tags in your text to make it look good.
    Hope this helps!

  • KM Doc iView to display in HTML format

    Dear KM friends
    I created a KM Document iView to display a MS Excel file.
    My requrirement is
    1. I want to diplay that iView on click on HTMLB link
    2. I want to display that MS Excel file in HTML format, just like a link in Search result.
    plz reply me
    Thanx in advance
    Lakshmikantha

    Hi,
    You could call com.sap.km.cm.document iview with the RID of the document in order to display it's Excel content from the HTMLB Link:
    Link nameLink = new Link(resourceName);
    nameLink.setReference(docUri + resource.getRID());
    where docUri is:
    IURLGeneratorService urlService =
    (IURLGeneratorService) ResourceFactory.getInstance().getServiceFactory().getService(IServiceTypesConst.URLGENERATOR_SERVICE);
    docUri = urlService.getRelativeUri(PathKey.CONTENT_ACCESS_PATH).toString();
    Hope this helps.
    Romano
    PS: about showing the HTML content of the Excel file - If I am right - I think that the HTML content of the Excel (PDF, DOC or other resources) is created on the TREX server and is available only when showing found indexed documents.
    I've found the class, that manages this HTMLVersion, maybe you can have use of it (or just have a look):
    <i>package: com.sapportals.wcm.control.search
    class: HighlightedContentControl
    method: renderHTMLVersion</i>

  • Sending an email in HTML format

    in order to change the mail format from PDF to HTML format, first I create  the smartform with the relevant content , secont I create a new class and implement the method with the code mentioned in the blog "sending HTML Email from SAP CRM/ERP"  and I defined at the action profile in IMG (I didn't
    add nothing but the method mentionedin the blog).
    the appointment is saved and the mail is sent in HTML format . but an error message is send to the user at the crm_ic tranzaction. the error message is BS(001) " no status object is available for &".
    the message is raised from program LCRMBSVAF14 / form status_read.
    if I put break-point at the message line(86)  , the message is shown and the crm_ic tranzaction is stoped
    but if I put break-point a few lines before(line no 33)  and track each step the tranzaction function correct and the crm_ic show  an o.k. message  , I can not find a reason why the tranzaction process with break-point and don't pass with out it.
    thank you .

    If it looks anything like the sample here, that's unnecessary:
                             Test_Email_Adblock_enabled.txt
    If what you see is substantially different, though, I'd be interested in seeing it. (I can't e-mail you, though, as I don't know your e-mail address. You can find mine, though, by looking at the contact link at the bottom of any page on my site, listed in my profile here.)
    This is not a feature in adblock, I view it as a bug.
    I agree, it should not be doing that.
    My suspicion is that AdBlock works by adding this code to every page you view, thus rendering the advertising elements invisible. However, in the case of OWA, it must be inserting that code in a bad place, where it shows up in the message. Mail servers will be prone to rejecting such a message, probably because some of the strings that code uses to identify these ads might look malicious. There's nothing that I can see in that code that's actually malicious, though... just a bunch of CSS conditions that make matching elements invisible.
