HTML Map tag zoom problem.

Hi,
We have discovered a problem with our webpage that only occurs on safari. We have an image with an image where we use an <map><area> tags to indicate click-able hot spots on the image. When you change the zoom level in the browser, increasing or decreasing the size of the image the relative location of the hot spot changes within the image.
This problem happens in both windows and mac versions of safari. IE, Chrome and FireFox handle this correctly.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hi
a webkit nightly from http://webkit.org will likely fix it on an individual machine - but afaik, apple didn't include the fix in the recent safari updates.

  • Problem with html:select or html:options tags using struts, jsp and tomcat

    Hi
I'm updating a Struts-Project to a new layout and therefore rework all jsp Sites.
I'm also using a new Folder-Structure and update therefore my struts-config file.
    My Problem now is:
Till now, we had a select-field with a code like this:
    < html:form action="/timetableAction" method="POST">
    < table width="53%" border="0">
    < tr>
    < td>< html:radio property="dauer" value="semester"
    /></ td>
    < html:select property="semester" size="1">
    < htmlptions name="semesterList" />
    </ html:select>
    </ html:form>
The problem now is, that whenever I use any <html:xy> tag, the tomcat server I use can not show the page, he shows just the headers of the template, but not the
content.-jsp-File where the form would be in. He stops right in the middle of the html page, when he notices the <html:xy> tags.
And the funny thing is, that he has no problem to show a page when there is a <html:errors> within it? Why could this be? the struts-html.tld File is well included and teh Tomcat Server shows no exceptions.
Waiting for you answers and thanks

Thank you, I already got the answer in another forum

  • Map tags to style problem.

    Hello!
I have a problem with indesign that i cannot understand. On the picture below, you can see my structure. PARAGRAPH is the tag of the text frame. Inside the text frame i have tagged the text. The things that should be paragraph style 1 (bröd) is tagged "PARAGRAPH1". The things that should be  paragraph style 2 (bröd_start) is tagged "PARAGRAPH2".
I use map tags to style to map the different tags to a specific style. It looks like this:
When I run the cursor over the text I can see the tags changing to the correct one in the tags panel. But the paragraph style is always "Bröd". It seems as if the tags to style is not applied!
The reason that I want to to this is so I can manage first lines better. I map the first word of a "new" line to "Bröd_Start" so that the first line is aligned flush left. Like this:
Anyone has any ideas why this is not working like it should?!
    Tank you!
    Regards,
    Lukas

    Hi,
Thanks for sharing the document. I tried with your file and scrolling is working fine. I could choose and select the styles also.
Did the bug happen after importing XML or before as well?
Do you have other documents open while you are working on this document?
Did you try cleaning your preferences and cache? If not, you can give this a try and let me know if the problem still remains.
    Regards,
    Pooja

  • HTML DB HTML (Anchor Tag)

    Hello everyone,
I have a target of icon which enables me to open a Web page located in a repertory of my network.
I would like to be able according to the place that I am in my application, to reach a place in page HTML (ANCHOR tag).
I put in page HTML of the anchors such as <A NAME="Zoom">
I tested in the target of icon: J:\PROJ\T-bord\LIV_01\relnotes0.3.2.html<a ref="#Zoom"> "target=_blank".
The page opens, but it is not placed at Zoom inking. Can you say to me if there is another way of being able to regulate my problem?
    Thank you very much! Bye.

    Hello Vikas,
I will try to reformulate my question with less ambiguity.
I have in the heading of each page of my application an image with a bond to open a file .PDF.
The file contains many information and I would like that by opening this file outward journey at a precise place in the file.
I did not see how proceeding to do that with a file PDF.
I then thought of modifying file PDF in format HTML.
With this format, I can place at various places, anchors(ex : A NAME="Zoom"), in order to use them in my application HTML dB.
At the time when I open file HTML, I want to place myself at the place that I want in the file without being obliged to traverse all the file to go to seek my information.
In the properties of the image in HTML dB, I placed in the section of the target of icon the address of the file and also the name of the anchor to be located at a precise place of my file: J:\PROJ\T-bord\LIV_01\relnotes0.3.2.html a ref="#Zoom" "target=_blank"
My file opens but at the beginning of the file. It is not occupied of the anchor to locate me at the desired place.
    I seek how to make?
    Thank you.

  • HTML to PDF conversion - problems with page-breaks and bookmarks

    Hello,
My company is currently considering updating your software (from Acrobat 9 Pro to Acrobat XI Pro) and I’ve been assigned to research its features and make sure that it is a right fit for our goals. Basically we want to automate the whole process as much as possible and we want to create PDF directly from HTML. We’re providing a lot of content in HTML and we need a fast way to transfer it into PDF format. There are however some guidelines:
    We want page-breaks in is this kind of documents, and thus - your app needs to be able to interpret HTML and put them where we want to;
    We need to have bookmarks in there. Converter must be able to make them based on headlines from HTML source or afterwards, directly in PDF by using some auto-bookmarks feature;
There has to be table of content generated, based on HTML Link Tags if possible. Here’s sample of TOC structure that we have currently:
    <A NAME="redirect">sample_text</A>
    <A HREF="#redirect">sample_text</A>
Of course we can modify HTML in any way you want us to. The important thing for us is to make it work in PDF without the need to make a lot of manual changes after conversion.
I’ve been messing with Acrobat 9 Pro and reading some documentation that you have provided and I’m convinced that point 3 is not a problem. I’m aware that Acrobat 9 Pro is not having any difficulties with links in document and they work fine in PDF format that has been created from HTML.
Page-breaks on the other hand are bothering me. Your app is apparently ignoring every HTML code that the Internet is advising me to use to force page-break where I want. Honestly - I’ve tested like ten ways to make them and not even one was working. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Another problematic subject for me is the bookmarks creation. I know that they are not a problem if I’m doing DOC to PDF conversion. Then I’m able to decide what header should be used as a curtain level of bookmarks and everything is working great at the end. However - with direct HTML to PDF conversion - I really don’t know how to generate bookmarks that are based on the source of the input document. Is there any way to make fully working 2 level bookmark tree in this case? Here’s an example of the structure we want at the end:
    header1
    header2
    header2
    header1
    header1
    header2
Could you please help me in finding the solutions? Just like I’ve mentioned - we can modify input HTML in any way, but in the end we would like to achieve our goals as quickly as possible.
    Please excuse my English.
I am looking forward to your response,
    Lucas

Frankly - we would like to avoid using Word. We are using it currently but there are long-term plans of improving whole conversion process, eliminate any mid-steps and automate as much as possible even though conversion is not going to be done unattended on a server. Thank you for your response, but I hope that maybe someone else would have any idea?

A link would be 100 times better.
But The main question is are you editing the layouts through the admin editor? If so it will change html5 tags because it is only XHTML compliant. Do not use the editor for markup, only content.
Either code it and upload it through SFTP or use the develop tab if you see it (Partner only) in the top ribbon.
In terms of the code you posted, there are no html 5 tags like section etc in there as far as I can see.

  • JSP applet tag X Html applet tag (what is the difference?)

what is the advantage in using the JSP applet tag instead of a simple Html applet tag ?
    second question:
I have an applet in a Html frame, and a menu on the left side.... When the user select the applet option at first time, everything runs ok.. after the user select another option and then select the applet again, it fails in some features .. Why ?

well, if by "the JSP applet tag", you mean the jsp:plugin tag.. that will just generate the same HTML tag you would write. The only advantage would be it should be less typing to use the taglib.
    second answer:
without seeing any code, it'd be hard to figure out the problem. The obvious thing is you are setting some state of something that is preventing further action.

  • Value not resolved in html:text tag at weblogic

I've a jsp working fine at tomcat, but after i migrate it to weblogic, some of the html:text tags are not working properly.
              eg. <html:text property="dispParamValue" styleClass="formFill1line" value="${sysvarList[rowCount].dispParamValue}" />
Instead of displaying the value of ${sysvarList[rowCount].dispParamValue} like "abc", it displays the tag itself "${sysvarList[rowCount].dispParamValue}" at the text field at weblogic.
My Weblogic version details are as follows:-
              Server info = WebLogic Server 9.0 Sun Jul 3 21:15:00 PDT 2005 598247
              Servlet engine version = 2.4
              Java version = 1.5.0_03-b07
Anyone has encountered the same problem before? any difference in the server settings that i need to take note of?

Just to clarify, the EL is supported by a J2EE 1.4 server which corresponds to Servlet2.4 / JSP2.0
What version of Weblogic are you using?
You can find out the version of the spec your server supports with the following JSP snippet.
    <h2> Server Info </h2>
    Server info = <%= application.getServerInfo() %> <br>
    Servlet engine version = <%=  application.getMajorVersion() %>.<%= application.getMinorVersion() %><br>
Java version = <%= System.getProperty("java.vm.version") %><br>Also note to activate the EL in your webpages in a JSP2.0 container, your web.xml file must declare itself as being version 2.4 (if you leave it at 2.3 it disables EL for backwards compatibility)

  • Error message string : cant put and and HTML Blink tag

    Hi All,
I have experienced a strange problem in the error message string .When i put <abc>.txt as a error message in my validation routine it just truncates abc .
I think HTMLDB understands it as a HTML tag .
Any idea how to put open and close angle ?
And one more question do i put HTML blink tag inside error message ? Its not working ....
    Cheers,
    ROSY

Try using & lt ; and & gt ; instead (without the spaces inbetween the characters).
What do you mean by "not working" for the blink question? I'd also suggest that it "not working" is a good thing...blinking text on a website usually looks horrible ;)

  • Jsf equivelent of struts html:base tag

I'm having an issue with the myfaces panelNavigation component. I'm including it in a series of pages with subview & jsp:include tags. It's working great with one exception. If I browse to a document one directory deeper than the "home" page, and then click the "home" link taking me back to the parent directory, the external css sheet doesn't load. All of my links and text are there, but not styled at all. If I click the link again, every thing loads fine.
I remember the <html:base> tag from struts and I tried using it on the home page. However, the page refused to load and the server did not throw a stack trace (even though the logging is set to FINE).
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue and if there is an equivelent tag in JSF to solve this problem.
    Thanks!

    thanks for you answer.
but when i use the <html:base/> tag, everybody can see my internal structure when viewing the source code of the generated html in browser.
i think i haven't understood the base tag (and have never used it).
could somebody tell me how to use this tag correctly ? (html or struts version)
actually my problem is, i used to define a variable at the top of every jsp page like this :
    <%! String conPath ; %>
    <% conPath = request.getContextPath();%>
    then,
<a href="<%= conPath%>/some/link">Some Text</a> or <img src="<%=conPath%>/image/bottom.jpg">, is there a better way without using java code in jsp ? because when the context root changes some day, i have to change all jsp pages.
can the <base> tag be helpful here ? how ?
    yawmark,
when i put all my jsp files under WEB-INF, do i have to change something in struts-config.xml ?
    thanks in advance

  • Map Tags to Style Pallet Issue

When in the 'Map Tags to Style' pallet I can't scroll by either moving the scroll bar or clicking up/down arrows. Also the only way to select a style sheet is to click exactly on the paragraph icon. The scrolling is driving me crazy, anyone else have this issue in this pallet in ID CC (using ID from cloud and all updates have been run)?

    Hi,
Thanks for sharing the document.

  • HTML a tags in report

    Hi Guys,
I have an updateable report in which the SQL calls a PLSQL function which adds HTML <a> tags to the returned value. This hyperlink is then used to call a seperate web page.
Since our upgrade to v4, the report is acutually displaying the text of the link and not the HTML Link (shown below)
    'a href=http://lpar2.pln.cz.pan.eu:8030/pls/LMEL/xxmel_apex_eco_pkg.html_parents?P_ALT_ID=37900&p_curr_part=K1-F361ABGGG target=new>Multiple Parents</a'
In v2, the 'Multiple Parents' would be displayed as a link and the 'a href=http://lpar2.pln.cz.pan.eu:8030/pls/LMEL/xxmel_apex_eco_pkg.html_parents?P_ALT_ID=37900&p_curr_part=K1-F361ABGGG target=new>' would be stripped out.
Is there anything I need to change in v4 in order to get it displaying correctly.
    Thanks
    Chris

Without seeing the code that generates the html, it's hard to tell. Is what you have posted above exactly as it is when you view the page source?
If it is, you are missing the start of the opening a tag and the end of the closing a tag.
the < and >For another, the attributes should be enclosed in double quotes. i.e.
    <a href="http://www.google.com">some link</a>Ta,
    Trent
Edited by: trent on Dec 11, 2010 12:10 AM
I would say the problem is this part of the href attribute:
K1-F361ABGGG target=newthere is a space between K1-F361ABGGG and target, which is why it needs to be enclosed in double quotes.

  • Overwriting the value of an html:hidden tag using javascript

    Hi!
Can somebody help me with my problem?
I need to overwrite the value of my html:hidden tag using javascript, but I dont know how?
    Any help?
    Thanks

what are you talking about :x
thats a webapplication question, wrong forum..
But you are using STRUTS I would say...
<html:hidden property="hiddenfield"/>This is the proper way of doing it.. but overrighting it
I don't think you understand why we use that?
It is only for forms.... we use that for hidden input ... It is common sence not to overrde that value.
