HTML/Rich Text sending

Can anyone tell me how to enable HTML or Rich Text viewing and sending of emails from BB 8300?  I have upgraded to version 4.5 butwhen I send emails they still arrive on the other end in Plain text format.
What is confusing me is that when I reply to an email sent in HTML/Rich text format, my reply back gets delivered in HTML/Rich text.  It seems the problem is when composing new emails.
In "Messages", "Options" and then "Email Settings" there is no option for me to change email format.
I would appreciate any help.
thanks

That would work except I synch to a home computer ... not the one at work with these pdfs.  Crazy thing is I'm almost positive I used the recommended Apple approach of using Rich Text a while back and it worked ... but not now?
The email the PDFs to your home computer's email account, and sync them there.  Or do they still come out funky at that address?
The other thing you could do is get a Dropbox account.  Use the Dropbox iPad app to access the docs, then save them into iBooks.

  • Rich Text Editor functionality for a DIV tag in a publishing page in SharePoint online

    Hi,
We are having a requirement where we need RTE behavior of SharePoint 2013 Rich Html Field for a custom DIV. The scenario goes like this:
    1. I have a publishing page
    2. I dropped the content editor web part and to that content editor web part I will point to an HTML file that needs to be rendered in that content editor web part
    3. I have one DIV in the above mentioned HTML files and I want that div to be editable and I need to RTE options for that DIV.
How to accomplish the above behavior?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create html rich text editor for a DIV tag in a publishing page in SharePoint online.
You can create your own Rich Text Editor.

Just moved my email from Entourage to Mail. Having real problems with getting my signatures to work properly despite sending email as Rich Text.
When adding in a small company logo to the signature, PC's / windows computers only receive signature and logo as attachments.
I've tried all possible fixes I can find including getting a PC user to format the logo but no joy. Has anyone experienced this and any ideas on a fix gratefully received.

Send it as html so the signature is an image source URL

  • How to send a mail with rich text content like using outlook

Hi All. I have a serious problem. When we send the mail from
outlook express or yahoo, we can send the mail with the text appearing
in the mail with bold font , with different colors, underlined etc.
If i type this kind of text in any word processor and mail that content through java mail then the message should be received by the recepient with all that bold, color and underlines etc as it is. Can anybody please help me in this case ASAP.

Go to this site and download the htmlArea Javascripts. Embedd them in your HTML and it will turn your normal HTML Text Area into Rich Text Area. Your real code will include all HTML tags. For example if you select some text and make it bold , the real HTML output will look like <B>YOUR TEXT </B>. So i guess your recipient should be able to receive HTML contents.

    https://www.nothingbutsharepoint.com/sites/eusp/pages/creating-html-emails-with-spd-workflows.aspx
Hi all of the above work, our question is how to control the RTF (Rich Text Field) look up values to the InfoPath 2010 form in the HTML email?
How to FORMAT the RTF look up value? in the HTML email
    EXAMPLE
we have a InfoPath 2010 form published in the SharePoint 2010 custom list library there are 5 RTF fields (Notes1, Notes2, Notes3, Notes4, Notes5) there are other plain text fields, date fields, and other field types in the form
We use a HTML table to make the email look like the InfoPath form, so when the users fill out the form and they get the email notification everything looks the same.
Our problem is the EXTRA LINE SPACE in the RTF look up values
We want to remove any leading spaces, and line spaces between HTML table cells
Our Workflow has the HTML in a Workflow variable, as you know it does not support remote CSS it has to be in-line style for any formatting we want all cells to have
valign="top" the email should align at the top of the cell, all field types do except the RTF look up values they make the email look bad and they contain a lot of white space.
Please test this in your enviroment
    <table>
    <tr><td>Title:</td><td>[%Current Item:Title%]</td><td>[%Current Item:Notes1%]</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Created by:</td><td>[%Current Item:CreatedBy%]</td><td>[%Current Item:Notes2%]</td></tr>
    <tr><td>Date Created:</td><td>[%Current Item:Created%]</td><td>[%Current Item:Notes3%]</td></tr>

    Hi IssackB,
perhaps you may try this article:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/f8fa2a11-9f74-4dd2-b277-21ce872fdcb2/can-we-add-rich-text-editor-to-the-sharepoint-designer-2010-workflow?forum=sharepointcustomizationprevious
there are some notes that perhaps you may check:
Use the same font for all the controls to ensure consistent spacing between rows.
Choose Size from the Format menu, and then choose To Fit from the menu that appears. This adjusts the size of each control, depending on the font set for the data that appears
    in the control.
NOTE: The Print Preview and Output To commands use different algorithms for calculating text width; therefore, the text may occupy more or less
    space in the RTF file.
Reduce the amount of blank space above and below the report controls. Any vertical
space between the controls is converted to whole lines
in the RTF file. For example, a
space of .02 inches can increase to .1667 inches in the
    RTF file.
Make sure controls on the same output row are not too close to each other or overlapping. This can cause the Output To command to omit the controls or to align the columns incorrectly
    in the RTF file.
Use the Align command from the Format menu to ensure that a row of controls is aligned properly on the report. If a row of controls is not aligned properly, the Output To command may place the controls
in different rows, causing extra blank
    spacein the RTF file.
and please have a check there are updates for exchange 2013 and will be available with the upcoming release of CU4 for Exchange 2013, that stated the format rtf was saved instead HTML. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2862739/en-us

  • Rich text versus plain text when sending to Outlook

I've notice some strange behavior with Mail today. I've been sending some attachments to people who use Outlook on an Exchange server. When I send the mail in Rich Text Format, they receive the mail but the text and the signature are included as attachments as well. This is not the case if I send the same message with no attachment. Also, if I change the message format to Plain Text, the mail appears normal both with and without the attachment.
Does anyone have a similar issue? Are there any know solutions? I'd really prefer to use RTF vs. Plain Text.
    Cheers,

Read the attached link and the link to the microsoft site to better understand what may be happening.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304245
If the attachment is plain text it should not be sent as a windows friendly attachment.
If the attachment is recognized as having rich text content it should be sent a as a windows friendly attachment.
The linked Microsoft document in the attached link has a Common Scenarios section which shows the Solution settings for Outlook based on the Problem experienced by the recipient.

  • SharePoint 2013 Document Library template displays html code when creating a new document from a sharepoint list multiline rich text

I have a 2010 work flow that is associated with a sharepoint 2013 list that creates a new list document using a custom Microsoft Word 2013 template with a rich text multiline field quick part.  The workflow creates the document and populates

  • Sending Rich Text Emails - Default Message font doesn't work!

I have just set up Mail to compose Rich Text emails as default which seems to have worked okay. However, I have set the default Message font as 'Arial' and it doesn't seem to work when sent to Microsoft Outlook. However if I set the text to a different font and then back to arial when composing it works fine.
I just looked at the raw source of the email and it doesn't actually state in the HTML that the font is set to Arial by default, only when it is manually changes when composing. It may display correctly in Mail but with more users on a windows based machine using outlook this is no good! I don't want to have to change the font manually every time!
Anyone got a fix for this?

Are there no fixes for this?
In my eyes this is a major problem and certainly something that is making me consider moving away from Mail...

  • HTML email saving as Rich Text

    Hi,
We are having an issue with Outlook 2013 on Exchange 2013, where we need to save emails on a regular basis and it loses embedded attachments.
The emails when we attempt to save them are in html format – but when they save they auto change to Rich Text and as such they lose the attachment.
We found another guy who has the same issue
    http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/392648-outlook-items-converting-to-rich-text
and there seems to be no solution – drama is I really need one !!!!! HELP!
    We have so far: -
Tried a ‘save as’ to outlook msg with and without uni code.
When saved email is opened, it is in ‘Rich Text’ format
    Embedded attachments are missing.
Also when responding to emails that are received from clients outside of the organisation, it converts the email to rich text and if sent, do not get past the exchange and remain in the ‘submission queue’ with “a storage transient failure” error for 3 days
    before bouncing back as undeliverable.
TNEF was enabled which gave a whole lot of other errors so was disabled again

    Hi Alanvdw,
    Thanks for your response.
Cached Exchange Mode provide users a better online and offline experience. Cached Exchange Mode lets users move between connected and disconnected environments without interrupting their experience in Outlook. Also, it insulates users from network latency
and connectivity issues while they are using Outlook.

  • Why Rich Text (HTML Only) format email introduces line breaks (paragraph marks) in the email body in html?

A sentence in rich text (change in Options, Delivery format) appears as a single sentence in browser. But when I check the page source I see that sentence has been broken in to multiple lines. Why is this done? Isn't this a bug?
When viewed in a browser or application that supports rich text this does not create any problem since the line breaks are not taken into account . But I am trying to extract the text from this html and display in a nonHTML application like notepad.
    Is this done on purpose?
    For eg.
In browser - Honesty is the best policy
    In View HTML Source -
    Honesty
    Is the
    best
    policy.

    lets start at the beginning.
There is no such thing as rich text email, unless it in internal corporate stuff like MS Exchange, Lotus notes etc. EMail on the internet is HTML or Plain Text.
I have no options > delivery format in my settings. Is this something to do with Outlook perhaps?
Then there is your image. All those MSO objects. They stand for Microsoft Office Objects and indicate the source of the HTML as being Outlook or at least Microsoft Office. All in all I think your asking about Microsoft actions on a Mozilla forum.

  • Why is Apple Mail sending in plain text even when rich text is set as preference?

I have Verdana selected as my Message Font and the Composing Message Format preference set as Rich Text, yet Apple Mail sends new messages in plain text (Monaco). When I type the message it shows in Verdana. When I check it in Sent Mail, it is in Monaco. When I choose Send Again, the new massage appears in Verdana again, but after sending it is in Monaco. Also, The received message in in Monaco. I've tested this with other fonts and font sizes and the same thing happens.
    How do I fix this?
Note: Mail correctly replies in the same format as received messages. Only new mail has the plain text problem.

I suspect that for each one you need to go to Format > Make Plain Text

  • Rich Text Field in HTML

I need to design an xdp form that can be rendered in HTML and which allows the user to format text field content. I created a text field control with data format of xhtml. In Adobe Acrobat Professional I can use CNTRL-E to open the "Form Field Text Properties" toolbar. Will this work in the web browser when the form is rendered as HTML?
Also, is it possible to insert a hyperlink into a rich text field when rendered as HTML or PDF? Are hyperlinks even supported in text fields of forms designed using LiveCycle?

    hi
another way to do it is to specify RenderFormat property of Content by search web part (it is not available from UI, only programmatically or declaratively):
    <property name="RenderFormat" type="string">&lt;Format Type=&quot;HTML&quot; /&gt;</property>
Format is very important and it should be exactly like shown above. Check the following post for details:

  • Safari Mac won't display Rich Text HTML editor in Yahoo web mail

"Safari 3.2 (Mac)", "Yahoo email", "Compose Message" Toolbar, Rich Text (HTML) editor.
In Yahoo's Compose Message editor, I don't see the Rich Text (HTML) editor and its toolbar while using Safari 3.2 in Yahoo mail (classic). In Firefox, I see the Rich Text editor toolbar and it works fine.
I've searched on this forum, including Yahoo and others, and don't see this complaint. Is there something I've overlooked?
Is Safari Mac even capable of running the Rich Text editor in Yahoo email?

    Hi Semi,
I found this in the Yahoo Mail Help:
How do I write in BOLD, italics or Color, or change font size?
On the Compose page, above the upper-right corner of the compose window, there's a link that either says Rich Text or Plain Text. Click this link to switch back and forth between the two. Since the link is the switch, you'll actually see Plain Text when you're in Rich Text.
In Rich Text, you can change the look of your message in a bunch of different ways. Again, since the link is there to switch from one mode to the other, if you see Plain Text, that means you're already in Rich Text! If you see Rich Text, click it.
The Rich Text toolbar appears above the Compose window.
    Spell check
Going from left to right, the first button is the 'abc' spell-check button. Click it anytime to check your spelling starting at the beginning of your email. When you're finished, click Close.
    Font and Size
Font: The Font button has two F’s on it. Click it to view other Font choices and select another Font.
Size: Click the button with two A’s on it to choose the size of type you want. Browse the menu and click the size you want.
    Bold, Italics and Underline
B is for Bold, I is for Italics, and U is for Underline. Emphasize your point! :o)
To use these formatting tools, either click a button and start typing, or, select a block of text (or one word), and then click a button to format the text.
    color
Text Color: Click the "T" button to see a palette of many colors. Select the text color you want, and start typing. Or, select a block of text (or one word), and then click the button to apply the color.
Background color: Want to give your text a background color? Either click the highlighter color you want and then start typing, or, select the text to which you'd like to add a background, then press this button to apply the highlighting color.
    Emoticons
Add emotional oomph to what you say by selecting from the list of graphical emoticons.
    Links and Lines
Globe with Links button: Insert a web site link!
Line button: Insert a horizontal line. Handy!
    Alignment
Choose from flush-left, centered, or flush-right text alignment.
    Lists
Bullets and Numbering button: create bulleted or numbered lists.
    Indenting
Decrease Indent: Place the cursor where you would like to move the text to the left and click the "Decrease Indent" button.
Increase Indent: Place the cursor where you would like to move the text to the right and click the "Increase Indent" button.
Yahoo hasn't the best rich text editor out there for e-mail. Why not use Mac Mail... so much easier and supports RT. Yahoo having laid off personnel, I doubt if their internet based mail client sees much in the way of improvement anytime soon.

  • Print PDF rich text editor using BI Publisher

    Hi !
I have a CLOB field from database, and I store data using a rich text editor, like a MS Word system, here as you know, I can write words in bold format, use differents kind of colors, etc... and use all formatted text that the editor allow me. I haven't problems once save this data into table and restore again, I can see all this data formatted , and I don't loose any property of this formatted text.
The problem is when I want print this information in the same way that I can see in the rich text editor. I use BI Publisher for generate a PDF, when I send this field for print a PDF, the PDF that BI publisher generate, print only text, prints all characters including generating that text is formatted, for example, if the field is written in bold print "<b>hello</b>" in the PDF generated by BI Publisher see "< b. > hello < / b>".
Please which is the way for print the same as is displayed in the rich text editor?
    Thanks in advance.
