My html generate web pages are coming out all black - prog stalls on "loading". Flash galleries are generated fine. Tried re installing 2.1 - no help. checked catalogue, no help.

I totally agree with you. I'm running Lr 4.1 RC2 on Win7Ent64 with i7-2700k, 16GB RAM and catalog and previews on a SSD drive ant all the Develop module is relly really slow and sluggish. I have 1:1 previews generated. Very very bad performances!!! Adobe wakes up!

Html web galleries not generating

I am using LR 2.4. Mac G4, 10.4.11
Last night I tried to generate an html gallery with about 350 photos. After about five hours, it was not done. So I gave up.
Today, I cannot even get html galleries TO DISPLAY, much less generate/export. (Flash galleries will display.)
No matter which gallery template I use, and not matter how few photos I use as a trial, I am now just getting a black screen. The first time I tried today, the first dozen or so thumbnails filled in, then in place of following thumbs, I got question marks; but now i only get a black screen where the gallery should be.
The folders containing all of the photos in question, have recently been synchronized and are all up to date.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you may have stretched the hardware beyond its capabilities, and a restart may cure.
How much RAM and how much free disk space out of how much? Do you generally work with most apps quit while in LR?

HTML Web design software for MacBook Pro

Hello,
Not getting much help on the web, so does anyone know of a reasonably priced but not cheap HTML web design software I can use on my MacBook Pro. Most of the ones i'm finding are $400 and up. I was hoping to not have to spend more then $200 maybe $250. Any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.

10G database documentation HTML web pages not searchable by IE

Within Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0, I can not use the IE find [<CNTRL> F] capabilities on the 10G database HTML documentation on technet. (I am not an IE novice) For instance, say I was interested in the "KEEP INDEX" parameter of the "ALTER TABLE" command.
I would use the 10G Database HTML documentation for "ALTER TABLE" found at the link,

Then, since this document is 100's of pages long, I would use IE to search the page for what I was looking for - EDIT -> FIND (on this Page). I would type KEEP INDEX in the search box and bang I should find it on the page.
Although this works on every other web site (including the 9i documentation), IE returns the error "Error: 49 Permission Denied". How helpful is a help document that does this?
Please correct this issue!!!!! Please don't ask me to use a PDF either, they are so painfully slow.

Further to my earlier post, I have just read an entry noting that if you already own a domain name, and ask your hosting service to forward and mask your iWeb '08 created, web.mac.com site to your personal domain, chances are that due to the masking of the site on web.mac.com, Safari browsers interpret the masking as being the end of the site, and as such, just return a blank page?
This may explain the problem. However, call me old fashioned, and possibly a little naive, but surely this cannot be the problem?? It's OK in Firefox!

HTML Code will not generate Thumbnail image.

For Months I have been using this html code to generate a thumbnail image on on of the pages on my site. It essentially creates a player for the podcasts that I create on www.buzzsprout.com. Buzz sprout our the ones that provide the html code to put on your site.

The XXXXX in the code represent the numbers for the individuals podcast page where the podcasts are displayed once they have been uploaded to their site. Soon after the latest update I have been unable to generate a thumbnail image on my site using this code. Why is that?

I am not sure what you mean be sharing a sample project. The website in question is www.ccont.com. Can't you create a page and paste the html code on it and see if it generates a thumbnail image. Web ROE not generating

Hi all,
i am having an issue when attempting to generate an ROE in Web Workbench. Basically i am trying to generate an ROE as a test case for every single Action type and Reason i have in the Configuration in the path Payroll > Payroll Canada > Reporting and Statistics > Record of Employment - ROE Workbench (New Version) > Maintain action types for issuing ROE.
The problem is that ROEs are being generated for most Action Types in this configuration table, except a couple. Are there any other factors that effect the generation of an ROE except this table?

A long time ago using windoze, I use to be able to send a entire embedded HTML Web page, not a link, in my emails so the reader does not have to click a link but can see the page right in the email.
I know email in Leo did not have this but can't find any product info as to Snow Leo allows me to do this. Can you please advise?

this only works with safari. Mail uses safari engine to render html. you can also just copy+paste parts of html pages but also only from safari. it will not work well if you try it from firefox.

If he is asking for WMV then that determines the big decision.
Start with a WMV prest then tweek it up and down till you reach the balance of qual vs file size that works. Test with a 10 second clip to save yourself test time. But a good quality under 15M for 2 minutes should not be difficult.
Main contributors to file size are Frame size, frame rate, Video BW.
For example; here is a 6 minute video that is 17M. On this one the guy cheated with frame rate to make the file smaller but the frame size bigger since there is little motion..

He may have the spot/size of the video predetermined for the site. So also ask him what size it needs to be in pixels. That will set one more variable for you.

Using a random image generator in a frameset [was: "I'm a photographer, not a web designer!"]

I've been designing my own website for some years now using dreamweaver. I love the ease of use and simplicity it offers, however I know nothing of designing web pages. I know what I want but I just don't exactly always know how to get there. I am currently trying to have a random image generator on my landing page, which is a frameset. I've tried several codes that I've found online and have had no success, at all mind you, with any of them. I'm sure that I am doing something very simple wrong with my design but just can't figure it out. Unfortunately I am a photographer which makes me a visual person, so yes, if you can help me you'll have to draw a picture for me, or at least hold my hand and walk me through the steps. Sorry, I know I'm high maintenance.
My site is all frameset based. I have a 'mainFrame' that all other links in the other frames load to. So I am assuming that my code for the image generator should go in the body of the mainFrame. I have even copied and pasted all the code from some of the help I've found, downloaded a cfm to try, all to no avail. Con someone spell it out for me, or better yet, draw me a picture.

That's a tragedy. Frames, once popular in the 90's are almost never used anymore. In fact, the W3C saw fit to drop frameset support from HTML 5.

The errors seem pretty straight-forward, and I hope Adobe will fix them soon.

Here's a fix (work in progress):
The index page, at least. I have yet to look at the linked pages. It validates as XHTML1.0-transitional.
It's necessary to edit two files: head.html and grid.html
The first one needs to have the type declaration changed and the meta and link tags closed where necessary with the XHTML /> ending. The second needs the
and tags moved inwards so they only surround the image tag, not the div tags.
These files are located (on a Mac) in:
/Applications/Adobe Lightroom.app/Contents
/PlugIns/Web.agmodule/Contents/Resources/galleries
/default_html.lrwebengine/
which you can navigate to via Finder directory hopping and using "show package contents" for the .app, .agmodule and .lrwebengine packages.
I don't know about the Windows equivalent, but I may get a chance to look at that tomorrow.
I also want to tinker with the CSS files, but I have yet to work out how it generates the file custom.css

Keyboard not working in Google Web Designer

I just installed google web designer from AUR. ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-webdesigner/ )
And I have the weirdest problem, the keyboard seems to stop working in the program somehow the keyboard does work after launch, but it seems to stop working after I use the mouse or something similar.
As an example, after launch I can press Ctrl+N for "new file" and then press tab until I get to the name field, and type all I want.
I can repeat this, press Ctrl+N and then click the name field, and the keyboard stops working. I can then close the window and press Ctrl+N again, but this time the window won't open (i.e. keyboard input is completely dead to the program). Below is all the terminal output I get when I launch the program, by the looks of it nothing seems suspicious in relation to this issue.

My Desktop environment is a pretty basic LXDE setup, and my keyboard is Razer Blackwidow, Mouse is a basic 5 button logitech mouse, I've never had any problems whatsoever with it.I am running on the evdev input driver (latest version of libinput crashes xorg if this keyboard is present and I try to use it) I have confirmed however that this issue is not specific to my keyboard (I tried another generic keyboard, it gave the same results)

Hello, I am maintaner of the AUR package, I tried right now, and I dont have any described problems you have. And honestly I have no idea how to help you.
I have tested GWD under Xfce4.12 and Openbox, and no issues, like this.

Code or design not visible on html page

When I open my html I can see all of the code if I put it in the code view. If I have it in design or split view all I see is the small image on the screen.
I put an arrow below the image.

Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion

I was able to call the services on the development box - windows server without any problem at all, everything was working fine but the moment i uploaded to a linux box production server I get this error. "Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion"
What could be the cause of this problem, i have googled a lot but no solution yet any ideas.

Let me make it simple:
1. Server A is our development server.- hosted inhouse with coldfusion installed.
2. Server B is our production server - a linux server with coldfusion installed hosted on the internet
3. Server C is a third party server containing the webservice - this is a windows server with .net
coldfusion is installed on Server A, the code works here and can connect to server C without any problem. It gets the required respone
but when the code was uploaded to server c it gives the error when we run it.
now i tried just a simple code which works fine on server A below:

Now if you try the preceeding code on a windows environment it works fine but the moment you put in the in the linux environment it generates this error
I feel that the error may actually be :

but i am clueless as to what to do next
