HTML5 pack for CS4

What happened to the HTML5 Pack for Dreamweaver CS4? Is there anything else that is equivalent to it that I can use to extend CS4?

For sure there WAS an extension pack for CS4 to support HTML5 and CSS3
That's not what I remember.  Adobe's HTML5 pack was for CS5 only.  It was discontinued when CS5.5 came out.
As Jon said, you won't get much support for newer web technologies in older versions of DW.  If you want to develop sites in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery mobile, etc... you'll need to code manually or upgrade your software.

    Hi,
I tried to install the HTML5 and got the following message.
"Extention can not be installed. It requires Dreamweaver Version in range of inclusively between 11 & 14."
I don't know what that means or how to fix it.
    Any suggestions?

  • Where can I download or aquire the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator CS6?

Where can I download or aquire the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator CS6? I would like to be able to save files for HTML5 and CSS. According to the "Adobe Illustrator CS6 On Demand" book, I should be able to download the HTML5 Pack from the following link:  labs.adobe.com/downloads/illustrator_html5.html.  That link does not work. Please help.  Thanks.

If this is true the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator has been deprecated, then how is one to save Illustrator CS6 files for HTML5 and CSS now? Is there another workaround?

  • HTML5 pack for Illustrator CS5 - what about Fireworks CS5?

I am puzzled by this Adobe action!
They released an HTML5 pack for... Adobe Illustrator, which is a great vector app (I admit) but is much more print-oriented, than Fireworks. Yet, there is no HTML5 pack for Fireworks??
Fireworks is an app that is almost exclusively oriented towards development for Web and screen (Illustrator can create content for Web and screen, too, of course, but it is not so strong in this area). Let me give you some arguments, that Fireworks is the best tool for Web!
    1) Fireworks is great for making layouts -- it's fast and intuitive. (Ai is complex and powerful, but not so easy to use and not so fast.)
    2) The color picking in Fireworks is excellent (grab any color instantly from anywhere, no need for making complex sets of swatches). Find-n-Replace that is unbeatable and works for colors and fonts, too.
    3) Much better gradient tools, easier to edit gradients, much more gradient choices!
    4) Fast, effective and best quality/size compression when exporting images for Web. Excellent slicing options, too. And exporting and optimizing images is twice as fast in Fw!
    5) Pages and Master Pages! Yes!
    6) Not only excellent and intuitive vector tools, but also good bitmap editing options, all in one. C'mon, today Illustrator cannot even crop imported bitmaps??
    7) Option to export as PNG8+alpha, that works also as PNG8+index -- great for making any PNG+alpha image work in IE6/7 with no problems or worarounds!
    8) Pages/Layers/States, which combined, give much better options for developing for Web. You can add interactivity, too! You can make smal animations, when needed, and export as .swf or .gif animated -- excellent options, for example, to create a cool custom AJAX loader animation, and making small animattions is a breeze in Fw.
    9) Option to instantly export any static graphic design as interactive and clickable prototype in HTML/CSS format, with almost valid code (external stylesheet, properly floated containers, option to set images to be either background or foreground type, option to easily tag elements and export them as H1-H6, P, DIV, FORM, A HREF, etc.).  You can export one page or a multi-page document, with one-click only! These are options available only in Fireworks, because it is web oriented (Ps or Ai cannot do this kind of thing, but they are print-oriented).
There are many other arguments, but no need to dig any deeper.
So, even if Fireworks is one of the best suited for Web tools, Ai gets an HTML5 pack?
    C'mon, Adobe...

Also, Fireworks is mostly a vector graphics app -- it saves in its own file format (editable PNG), but it can also export to FXG 2.0, it can save as .ai (v.8, I admit, but hopefully this will change soon), as .psd, it can export to PNG8/24/32, GIF, JPG, TIFF, etc. Fw can also import .ai and .psd files pretty well, and also .eps. Unfortunately, Fw cannot open FXG 2.0 or .svg files...
What I'd like to see is more Web features in Fireworks, because Fireworks has always been one of the best apps for Web/screen design...

  • HTML5 pack for illustrator CS5. location? adobe labs links are dead.

working with SVG for a web app. every time the art is updated, the class names pseudo randomly change. There's plenty of blog posts about an HTML5 pack of plugins with improved SVG support to allow named illustrator cs5 styles to be saved as CSS classes. Looking for a legit download link as I can't find the free pack on the Adobe labs website anymore.
    any help would be appreciated

  • Error messages svg-plugin HTML5-pack for Illustrator

I just added the HTML5 Pack to Illustrator.
I get two error messages every time I open Illustrator:
"error loading plugins SVG file format.aip"
    and
"Operation cannot be complete because of an unknown error."
The problem appears on every start of illustrator.
    I use Illustrator CS5 15.0.2
    I use Windows7
I checked: all the new files (4x plugin, 1x support/content) are in the right place.
Can anyone help me with this??

And moreover: after installing the HTML5-pack: the new features (that are promised by Adobe) are not there.
I tried to restore Illustrator to the state it was in, before I installed the HTML5-pack, by replacing the 5 new files by the old/original ones.
    But that does not help.
I keep getting error-messages, illustrator keeps telling me to restart because of new plugins, and the menu-item displaying all the panels is a mess.
    I'm really getting pissed here.
    Please help me

  • How do I get the HTML5 pack for Dreamweaver CS5 v11.0?

I have Dreamweaver CS5 v11.0 Build 4993 - how do I get the HTML5 pack? Tried downloading and installing v11.04, but this didn't seem to install. Any ideas?

Oh thanks but I wish it was that simple.  Help -> Update in DW does not show any Dreamweaver updates.  As I said above, I had downloaded a DW v11.04 installer file and tried installing this and although I got an 'update successful' message, nothing has been updated and yes, I have re-booted my laptop.
    Any other suggestions please?
    Thanks

  • Update v.11.04 html5-pack for CS5 not working

    Hi,
I've tried installing the update several times without success. I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled Dreamweaver, but this seems a very lengthy way to solve it, and also does not guarantee success if I do. Does Adobe have a solution for this installation problem?

  • HTML5 Pack for all users

I realize this is probably the wrong spot, but there does not appear to be a forum for Extension Manager (not that I can see anyway).
I'd like all my users to have this installed - how does one either
install it into a common area, such as /Library/Application Support/ or C:\Program Files\ instead of ~/Library/... or C:\Doc&Settings\username\..., OR
script a silent installation of the .zxp file OR
build a package by hand that will install the payload files into the user's environment. eg: capture ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS5/Configuration/Extensions/... and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5/en_US/... (the appropriate bits from there).

I realize this is probably the wrong spot, but there does not appear to be a forum for Extension Manager (not that I can see anyway).
The Extension Manager forum is here:

  • Will there be a similar pack for Illustrator CS4 or CS3?

I just curious if there will be a similar HTML5 pack for Illustrator CS4, and perhaps CS3? I know that when Adobe came out with the HTML5 pack for Dreamweaver CS5 there was a large uproar from the community about having the same pack for previous versions.
Now, ultimately, I understand that adobe wants to focus its development on the current piece of software and that some features of the pack may not be able to work in past versions without a huge rewrite to the programs code.
That being said, I would love to see at least some improved support for the new technologies, particularly the SVG handling, in various development environments because on a daily basis I work with CS3, CS4, and CS5.
I'm just curious if we can expect to see some additional packages, albeit with less features than the CS5 version.

The option is available now through Creative Cloud, if you upload your Collage project to Creative Cloud there is an option to download in PSD format
    The steps would be:
    1. Upload your project to Creative Cloud from the tablet
    2. Open the Creative Cloud website (https://creative.adobe.com/) on the computer with Photoshop
    3. In the Files section double-click the project to view it full screen
    4. Use the download option to save the file on your computer and select PSD as the format to save the project in
    5. Open the PSD in Photoshop from wherever you saved it on your computer

  • CS5 HTML5 Pack working in CS4

I have converted the html5 pack for CS5, less the webkit updates) to work in CS4, this includes the media queries multiscreen. However as the original code is the copyright of Adobe I have asked permission in this thread - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/642154?tstart=0, before offering it for use, to do otherwise would in my opinion be not just an infringement of copyright but theft.
Should anyone know of a better way to apply for this permission I would be happy for that info?

    Hi Paula,
Since Adobe is known not to frequent these forums - in an official capacity at least - the only suggestion I can offer is that you send your request to the email address listed in the Terms of Use for the extension:

  • Where do I find the HTML5 pack download for Illustrator 15.1.0?

I am unable to find a working link to download the HTML5 pack for Illustrator 15.1.0. Links such as http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/illustrator_html5.html all redirect me to CS6 marketing. Am I misunderstanding the installation steps required for HTML5 or are all links to download the HTML5 pack currently broken?

Here are some things I have been able to figure out:
If you put an element on a layer and name it, it will export as an ID in the SVG file you can select using CSS.
If you apply a style from the graphics styles palette to a group of items, the will export as classes you can select using CSS.
Best to always work in .ai and export the SVG each time you test.
When you save as SVG, be sure to check the 'use system fonts' and the 'style elements' options.
Im still figuring out how to export text with classes or IDs.
This is ridiculous! I wish they would enable semantic graphics
