HTML5 Xtra?
I haven't seen any new Xtras for Director lately. I think it would be financially attractive for a programmer to develop an Xtra to export simple projects as HTML5. It would revitalize Director.
It's time for Adobe to abandon the Shockwave plugin and concentrate on an HTML5 exporter with WebGL 3D capabilities. See what WebGL can do:

No driver found - Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra - WinXP
I have used my Zen Xtra for over 2 years now, with the same PC I am currently having problems with. I recently had to do a complete reinstall of Windows (note that I have done at least 2 other complete reinstalls during the life of my Zen Xtra, with no problems). Windows Device Managers sees the NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra, but with the yellow question mark and exclamation point. Each attempt at driver installation results in the same problem. The driver ("JB3MV2_PCWDRV_US__30_03.EXE") installs completely, I'm told to reconnect my device so the driver can take effect. When I do, the device is still marked in Device Manager with exclamation point and yellow question mark, and Windows continues to ask if it can find and install the driver. I have told it not to (knowing that I just installed Creative's own driver), with no success, and other times let Windows try to install the driver (hoping it would find the Creative driver that was just installed). No luck. I have even done another complete reinstall of Windows, and tried to install the driver before any other program or hardware installations into my system. No luck. Note that there are no hardware changes between now and when I have done other complete Windows reinstallations. It just no longer accepts the Creative driver. I have also tried to install the driver in safe mode, with the same results. I have also completely removed the Zen Xtra (showing hidden devices in the Device Manager), and tried to reinstall. Firmware version of Zen Xtra was upgraded over a year ago to 2.0.03.
Specifics:
Windows XP Pro SP2
38GB free hard dri've space
Zen Xtra firmware version: 2.0.03I have the same problem. But when i try to installl it it says he is missing an .nfo file.
I removed WMP and reinstalled WM0 because is crap.
I have Windows XP SP2
I have the newst firmware on it.
Can somebody help me with this because it's annoying not to put any new music on your mp3 player.
I never experienced this before even after formatting my HD.
Almost the same problem as fritzm but not completely because het gets an different error.
I have installed the CD but that doesnt work either.
I have installed the software from the website but that didnt help because he doesnt recognize my player.

I've just joined because I received a 60GB Zen Xtra for Christmas!
I've read many of the past posts and was just wondering:
Is there anything I need to know, or do, with my laptop before installing software or drivers (I'm using a XP Pentium 4, .6GHz)?
I've heard many problems regarding the headphone jack and lock-ups and and and and.......etc. I know there are probably 00's of others out there though that have had no problems at all. What are my chances that my player will work right out of the box and last me a good many years?
I've owned a NOMAD II MG for about 3 years now and have no problems at all. It gets lots of use! Hopefully my Zen Xtra will be just as good!
-ScottMake sure you install the software and drivers before you plug in your MP3 player. It makes for less of a headache that way.
Secondly, you should not have any problems with the headphone jack. Creative fixed this problem in the newer revisions. Because you got it for Christmas, it's more than likely a newer model. But you can tell by the case for the Xtra. The protecti've cases that ship with the new models have a window so you can see the screen. Sound looping using Swiffy export to HTML5
I am facing a problem when I export my flash using Google SWIFFY to HTML5!
It wont play my sound track layer as loop anymore. only play it once when luanching the page in HTML5 and then it stops!
I changed the settings in my Flash sound properties from Start to Event , from Repeat to Loop etc. but still not a change in exported result, can you advise me how can I get this soundtrack works as loop when I export it using Swiffy? Thanks a lot.

The only solution I've found is to copy and paste the (event) sound keyframe as many times as needed along the timeline, and set repeat/loop to 1. On-the-beat replay not guaranteed.

...says sound is "partially supported", and then only by Chrome, Safari, IE9 and Opera (no sound at all in FF).
So far, testing, IE9 doesn't play loops, but maybe Chrome will (later, at home). -
Dreamweaver 12.0.1 Crashes when Opening Complex HTML5
I'm getting a consistent crash when opening HTML5 documents with the latest general release and patched version of Dreamweaver.
I open a document, switch to the split code and design view... bam. Immediate crash.
If I'm in Code view, it's fine. Switch to design and it crashes.
Any ideas?

Knowing what you've already tried is also a great help in trying to repair your issue.

How can I use my Zen Xtra like a flash memory
Hello, I want to know how can I use my MP3 player like a flash memory.
I have one and if I conect it with other computers I can't transfer documents and with a flash memory I conect it in all the computers with Windows XP and all of they detect the flash memory and they can transfer documents.
With my Zen Xtra I connect it and the computer detects it but I can't transfer anything because the computer doesn't have the software.
My question is.. Do I have to install the software in all the computers that I use ? or there are other forms to conects PC and MP3 Player? ( I want to transfer documents like text, image, etc)But some MP3 players do that, why this one can't be connected with all the computers ?

HTML5 does not work in Android 5 and Ubuntu
Hi! Today my tablet Google Nexus 7 updated to Android 5, and I noticed a problem with Firefox. I noticed that does not work HTML5 mp3 player / It can be seen on the website http://audiobook-online.com/?page_id=2971. Instead of playing a song, it is suggested to download the file. This same problem in Ubuntu system on a netbook Emachine M350. In Google Chrome everything is fine. This can be seen in the screenshots.

As long as you have the "preserve" policy, the working space actually isn't all that important. The embedded document profile will always override it (as it should).
I had to read this a couple of times to follow the trail properly. Leaving Perfect Effects (which I don't know at all) out of it - does the very same file iteration, with the same edits, look different between Photoshop and Lightroom? Did I get that right?
In that case you have a bad monitor profile. This can sometimes throw off one application but not the other. Recalibrate, or if you don't have a calibrator go into Windows color management and set sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as default display profile. When done relaunch all applications so that they can pick up the new profile at startup. -

After a few weeks reading books and watching videos to learn developping Windows Store Apps 8.1 with HTML5 and JavaScript, I have started my very first serious application as a Universal Windows Store App using visual studio 2013 community edition. I would
like to use SQLite for persisiting the data of my application.
I installed the necessary extensions to VS2013 both for windows 8.1 and windows phone 8.1 (SDK + SQLite extension)
I cloned the SQLite3-WinRT projet from GitHub, and, as VS2013 asked it, run the targetting process to upgrade to Windows 8.1.
I successfully installed and tested SQLite3-WinRT using Javascript for the WIndows 8.1 part of my project.
But when i tried to add the SQLite3Component project as a reference to my Windows Phone 8.1 project, VS2013 complained that SQLite3Component project is an invalid reference for a windows phone project... I can understand this as the SQLite3Component project
seems to be a windows 8 only project.
I have been looking for a solution for two days now without success and decided therefore to post my question here: is there a SQLite3Component project targetted for WINdows Phone 8(.1)? If not, what are my alternatives for persisting potentially large amount
of data with advanced search queries locally on a windows phone?

I am using Parabola (a fork of archlinux), Icecat 31.4 and ALSA
Icecat and firefox seem to hold onto the soundcard when I click on a new html5 audio/video link in the same tab. The next video/audio element loses sound. If I wait 10 seconds and click back to the start of the audio/video, the audio returns. I often get cpu spikes for icecat when it happens.
I have tried this with both motherboard and usb sound and I get the same problem. I have disabled extensions (addons) in Icecat, deleted profiles, reinstalled the browser and even installed firefox from the AUR and it still occurs.
I have disable gstreamer in about:config and restarted and it still occurs.
My .asoundrc is this:

slave.pcm "hw:0,0"
All my other audio applications work. I have noticed that if I use pulseaudio it fixes it, but it should work without anyway, like it used to. I think something happened after an update, but I'm not sure.
Any help would be appreciated. I know it's not a big problem, but it's really frustrating and I've had it for ages. I even switched browsers to get away from it.*nerding out*

I have this rather unusual problem with the OSControl Xtra. I
recently paid for it $160 (a price which is extremely high for me
as I am student). Unfortunately i had to format my computer and I
completely forgot to write down my director's serial number (the
control was locked with the particular serial number). Also, the
original email containing the serial number was lost in my first
virus attack several months ago. Now, in order to activate director
again I had to buy a new serial... and this is where the problem
begins... the company refuses to activate the control again using
my new serial and they are asking me to either pay another $160
dollars or to upgrade to their site license (thats almost $500) or
to spend more money to buy an older copy of Director. This is the
worst customer support that I have seen, and I must say that I will
suggest everyone I know to avoid them at all cost... and you know
what they say...
loose one customer and many more will follow... Any thoughts
or advice will be greatly appreciated.
PS1: Because of this I had to stop my developments and start
looking for an alternative solution.... a solution tat will cost me

I can't get my Zen Xtra to work on my new comput
Hello. For years now, my Creative Zen Xtra has been working perfectly on my old (and I do mean old, Windows 98 old) computer. However, I recently bought a new computer with Windows Vista, and I just can't get it to work on there. I've installed all the software on the CD I got with the player, but when I open the player, it says "Not connected". All my other USB devices are working, and when I connect my MP3 player, it switches itself on, so I don't think there's anything wrong with my USB ports or the cable, and I can only assume there's something wrong with the software. I already tried looking for a driver update in the Downloads section of this site, but couldn't find anything for Vista.

Html5 video player won't work with slider script??
Hi - I'm new to html5 and Dreamweaver, but I've worked with html in the past, so most things aspects aren't foreign to me.
My question is this: I'm working with an existing html5 template and it had a slider graphics bar near the top. It works fine and scrolls through three pre-made banners.
The problem is I just added the widget for HTML5 Videoplayer and inserted it into my code. The video box, etc. shows up fine, and will play, but now the slider graphic box at the top doesn't work anymore. Instead it just displays all three banners as images, one on top of the other.
When I look closer at the script code that the widget embeds, it seems as though the script widget code is not playing well with the existing script code. When I remove the script code that the widget installs, the slider works perfectly again (but the video obviously won't play).
The exact code is included below. My question is, how can I make the two of these scripts work together???Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks, Blair

Error message "...Xtra failed..."
Hello!
Hopefully anybody knows s.th. about the following error
message. It appears on a WinXP machine, when clicking on a button
of a packed CBT (AW 7.0). What should happen after clicking is: A
Knowledge object is started and a sound (.swa) should be played.
But the following error is shown:
"A problem was encountered while trying to play the sound in
icon "Untitled". The internal sound driver reports the following
error: "Xtra failed"."
Until now it only happened on one PC, but not on other XPs...

JeanetteFirst, it would be helpful to your troubleshooting if you
actually
titled your icons appropriately. Unless you only have one
'Untitled'
icon, how can you track down which is giving you the error?

nuttier than
seeing a load of Untitled icons throughout a piece.

Anyway, if you can track down the audio icon showing the
error maybe you
can better diagnose the cause. Are the audio files all
imported into
A'ware? Are they all linked external? If external, are all
files
present? If internal, try re-importing the audio track into
that icon,
or replace it with a new one.
