HTML5 YouTube video vs WSJ video, Flash 16,0,0,305
The main problem - Totally maxed out dual processor & high heat to 180F easy
if running typical web feed video such as WSJ Video using Flash 16,0,0,305.
Example below
http://www.wsj.com/video/htc-unveils-vive-virtual-reality-headset/420CDA91-8B8E- 4AF7-84A2-37545D55D518.html
But YouTube runs easy & cool - apparently using HTML5, if that's correct as copied.
Checking Chrome browser - says it's up to date.
I am on 10.6.8 with 09 version MBP 13''.
Is there some setting I'm just not aware of -
or is this normal activity for everyone?
Like now Temp at idle is about 150F - hit that WSJ video, or any similar, it'll spike instantly, and fan come on,
which is so very rare otherwise.
Thanks Again to the Guru Gods of Apple that live in here.
Using Chrome - How To Kill The Heat & Full Load Processors.
At the very LEFT edge of address , in address bar is the micro icon to set site preferences.
Just discovered LIVE why Apple doesn't allow Javascript junk on their handheld IOs machines.
Soon as I blocked Java, sites don't load video's at all, and processor runs maybe 5/10 % & no heat stress.
The lowest heat value seen in years. 142F vs 190F to edge of melting solder joints.
So this is the real Hidden Reason
No one will flat out spills the truth or shows how to kill it.
Search wildcard, to see zero results will blame Java.

GOOGLE CHROME HELPER IN ACTIVITY MONITOR IS ANOTHER ISSUE-
http://www.wired.com/2014/10/google-chrome-helper/
FROM WIRED-
First, shut down all your Chrome windows without quitting the program. In the Chrome menu, go to “Preferences,” scroll all the way down in the menu, and click on “Show advanced settings…” The first item in the expanded advanced settings list will be “Privacy,” and click on the “Content Settings” button right under that. About halfway down the content settings list is a “Plug-ins” entry, which will likely be set to “Run automatically.” Instead, select “Click to play.”
This is essentially the same thing as configuring email to load images only when you click a “load images” link. Any embedded Flash, Java, Quicktime, DivX, or Silverlight content on a webpage will appear as a grayed-out space until you click on it to load the player and the content.
One huge benefit of destroying the Google Chrome Helper? It should keep Flash ads from auto-loading without having to install an ad-blocker.

Hello,
My MacBook is crashing when I watch Youtube videos. Safari and Flash Player are updated.
What is the problem?
It will be necessary to take him on a technical assistance?
thank youHave you tried an alternate browser to see if the same issue happens? Try Firefox or Chrome. Chrome has Flash embedded in it, so if it doesn't work, it's probably not a Flash issue. FIrefox is at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ and Chrome is at https://www.google.com/chrome .
Another thing to try is to sign up for HTML5 video from Youtube. See http://www.youtube.com/html5 -

Hi all,
I hope you can help! Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I'm struggling to find the best place to put this.
1. a summary of your issue
Crackling/substandard sound in flash videos (YouTube etc) regardless of video quality setting.
2. the type of computer you use—Mac or PC?
Desktop PC.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, all updates installed.
3. steps you've already taken to troubleshoot
The problem occurs after installing Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin to any browser (I mainly use FireFox). It's listed as Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX when I installed it for Internet Explorer.
Before installing it, I can hear the videos fine but I am limited to a maximum of 720p quality on YouTube.
I removed my sound and graphics drivers, after restart Windows 7 decides it will install them again but as the generic/universal ones. No change.
I've heard that because I have the Windows Aero theme activated, I need to disable hardware acceleration - tried this in various ways:
a) Generic PnP monitor Troubleshoot tab - Change Settings button is greyed out (whether or not I have the real/generic/universal graphics drivers installed). Can't find a way through nVidia control panel to do this either.
b) Disabled hardware acceleration in FireFox - no change.
c) Found on your forum here that I can go to a page which will check my Flash version, in theory I could right-click it, hit Settings and disable hardware acceleration there - no "Settings" option in right-click menu. Seems the page has changed.
I can't seem to find a way to interface with Flash directly to disable hardware accelerattion - if this is indeed the solution.
Regardless of Windows Aero theme, I've got it on basic theme now and still the same problem.
I recently reformatted and re-installed my PC, it was working fine before I did this (maybe I had an old Flash release installed?).
I'm at my wit's end... please help!Sorry, it's all sorted now. After re-installing the sound drivers, decided to tinker with the settings one by one. I had my Creative sound card in Game Mode, thus it was assuming 2.1 speakers aka headphones. Put it in Entertainment Mode and it recognised all the 5.1 speakers for flash videos. Doh!

Firefox 3.6.15 not play youtube videos show blank video frame but other browsers play perfectly please help me for this matter i have already updated adobe flash player.
Answers in this forum have shown different things have worked for different people.
For some clearing YouTube cookies and the cache solved the problem. For details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Deleting+cookies and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache
Others had to go a step further after deleting YouTube cookies and block YouTube from saving cookies. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options window. Go to the Privacy panel and make sure it is set to "Use custom setting for history". Click the Exceptions button, type in http://www.youtube.com and click on Block
Another option is to disable hardware acceleration for Flash. To do that right-click on a Flash video, select Settings, go to the first tab of the settings for the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration for Flash. This is something recommended by YouTube for those having problems - http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?&answer=1209379 -
Why is the audio of MSNBC, YouTube and other site videos very low when using Firefox?
For several weeks now, when I view videos from msnbc.msn.com, youtube.com and other videos from other sites, the audio is so low....I can hardly hear it. But when I view the same videos using Google Chrome, the audio is very good.

Do those Flash players have a volume button that opens a slider?
Clear the Flash cookies and settings.

Watching videos on youtube it happens that videos tend to stop somewhere while playing. Going to the end thumbnails, so its not buffering. It will play past the point if reloaded but is very likely to do the same thing again.
Any idea what could be causing this issue? If YouTube is slow, stuck
or weird, and people
suggest that
you either change or
install stuff....DON'T TOUCH
A THING.
Please don’t mess with
java scripts, firewall
settings, flash
players, anti-virus utilities,
activeX controls, popup
blockers
or different browsers. And
definitely avoid any
software that
some people on this page
are trying to get you to
buy.
None of those things will
help you, because your
computer
and YouTube were
working perfectly fine at
one point, right?
The first rule of thumb and
best option should
ALWAYS be:
don't disable, erase,
uninstall, switch,
download, alter, add,
change or install anything.
That'll only make matters
worse.
Every day, YouTube often
shuts down many of their
servers
to update stuff. Please be
patient if YouTube is slow,
stuck
or mangled. Transmissions
from YouTube to your
computer
are actually done in small
chunks of "Flash" at a
time. That
is why sometimes you
may only get bits and
pieces of text,
video, the spinning circle
and/or a blank screen.
Your issue
may fix itself within a few
hours or by the next day.
If your YouTube continues
to behave slow, stuck or
strange,
it's very possible that your
directories of "temporary
internet
files" and memory (often
times called "cache") are
full to the
maximum and just can't
take anymore, the end
result being
that YouTube videos
either A) start/stop/start/
stop, B) grind
to a halt, or C) never even
make it onto your screen.
"Temporary internet files"
are tiny bits of webpages
that get
permanently put on your
computer. They will
remain forever
and ever, gradually
plugging up your
computer (just like hair
slowly clogs a sink drain)
until you get rid of them,
or "clear
your cache" including
"cookies" and "history".
If you're not sure how to
clear your "cache", or if
you would
like extra 'tips' on making
YouTube run even better
(without
having to buy or install
anything), click my avatar
and send
send me a message --
ideally with your YouTube
or regular
email address. I will guide
you step-by-step through
"cache"
clearing and my 'tips' in
plain English with full
explanations.
Note 1: if you have Google
Web Accelerator (or
something
similar to it), dump it, burn
it, trash it, disable it,
uninstall it;
-- do all that you can to
get as far away from it as
possible,
even though this
contradicts all my advice.
Not only does it
conflict with YouTube,
simply clicking on "Don't
Accelerate
This Website" will not help
you whatsoever.
Note 2: longer videos only
require "Flash" and
"Shockwave"
in order to play smooth.
Other than that, avoid all
the sales
pitches that some
Yahooers are shilling,
because they are
really disguised
salespeople and peddlers.
Their "answers"
have nothing to do with
your question, and their
wares may
actually worsen your
problem. Besides, what
kind of stupid
answer is:....[my
paraphrase] "Although
you can't watch or
access videos properly, get
this downloader."
Note 3: an unusual fix that
once worked for me was
altering
the URL "www . youtube .
com" to simply "youtube .
com",
(or you can even try "ca .
youtube . com"). -

How to create a Online Media (Video/Audio) Player using Flash
How to create a video player, or an MP3 player using Flash? I want the player to play videos/songs which are hosted on the web (online player). A very common example is the Video Player used in Youtube to play the videos. How to create such a Online Video/MP3 player?
You could start from the open source Strobe Media Playback and modify it to suit your needs.

CHOPPY FLASH VIDEO PLAYBACK WITH ADOBE FLASH VERSION 10-11
I'm having a problem as described in a previous post re: Choppy flash videos, pictures, etc.. Youtube, megavideo any videos viewed online appear fine at first and then after 10-15 mins, start showing choppy. The audio was not a problem before, but I have noticed that it is being affected as well. I saw some posts on another forum a few days ago that recommended disabling flash player 11 in my chrome browser plugins and enabling verion 10 (which was available, but has since upgraded) and version 10 was working fine until it upgraded to 11 again. Now I have no options to revert to version 10 again.
My system info is below:
Sony:
OS - Windows 7
64 bit
Browser Chrome 16.0.912.77
Browser FireFox 9.0.1
Browser IE 9
Browser Safari 5.1.2
Flash Player 11,1,102,55
McAfee (came with the upgrade of flash player)
This is very frustrating. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, rebooting the browser, my pc, deleting cache files and cookies...NOTHING IS WORKING. CPU usage is between 20-35% when a video is active in my browser. I think that is normal, but I know that the choppy playback is not and it's only getting worse. Please HELP!
I hope this NEW POST will suffice as per your requirements. When the video is choppy, how much CPU and RAM usage is occurring? Do you have a graphics control panel that shows how much video RAM is in use when the video is choppy?
Do you have a list of sites and videos where the video is choppy?

I can't see the video when using the flash player
Hello everyone, I am having difficulty trying to fix the video of my adobe flash player. The audio works well on the flash player but the screen is black for the video. I have read the helpful tips on the adobe website and I have already: downloaded the most recent flash player, managed the add-ons, unchecked activeX filtering, deleted the flash player browsing data, and removed the flash player cache. I am at a loss for what to do next. Youtube works fine, but when I go to cbs.com to watch full episodes I can't see anything. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help. Thank you, Aaron Weinstein
I went and look up that information and then I went to the AMD website do download the graphic drivers and software and it said that it couldn't so I should contact HP. I then went to the HP website, put in the information of my computer and looked to see what graphic drivers I could update. Unfortunately I have the same graphic driver that they are saying is the only update for my computer. I appreciate the suggestion but it didn't work. Thanks, Aaron
