HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND to AOL addresses

Many of my apps engage the HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND procedure to send automated e-mail notifications. I've found that e-mails sent via this procedure do not reach aol.com addresses. I looked on AOL's web site and found the following policy:
America Online, Inc. ("AOL") does not authorize the use of its proprietary computers and computer network (the AOL Network") to accept, transmit or distribute unsolicited bulk e-mail sent from the Internet to AOL members. In addition, Internet e-mail sent, or caused to be sent, to or through the AOL Network that makes use of or contains invalid or forged headers, invalid or non-existent domain names or other means of deceptive addressing will be deemed to be counterfeit.
I am guessing that the headers coming out of HTML DB are invalid. Any one have any ideas as to how I can change the header and pass muster with AOL? I'm thinking if I change the "from" line it could solve the problem.

By the way, this is a header from an HTML DB email. Anyone know what the phrase "misconfigured sender" means?

Can't send PIX to my AOL address

Hello! I have texting and internet on my cell phone. I can't seem to send Pix to my AOL account. The phone indicates the message/pic was successfully sent, but it never reaches it's destination. Any ideas or suggestions?

Did you check your AOL spam folder? I have AOL and have no trouble sending pix as text to my AOL address. Can you send to another address fine like yahoo or gmail? Mary

When trying to send a message from macmail to an aol address I get the email pinged back with permanent error messafge

Problem sending to AOL email addresses from SBS2003 Exchange

I have a problem with a SBS2003 server with Exchange. They can't send emails to AOL email accounts ... they have tried 3 different email addresses and the response they get is

I don't think they have ever been able to send to AOL but has recently become an issue as they have customers with AOL email accounts ...
Any ideas? I have checked blacklists and we aren't on there ... they can email everyone else without a problem.

It is the same issue when they reply to an aol email address. The recipients have been called to check they haven't received it and they haven't.

This was actually sent to two aol.com email addresses but the response is the same as if sent to just one. There isnt much more here than in the other one though...

I have a aol email account and when trying to send a email the and try and enter address , instead of my aol address it enters from my phone contacts. Any help ?

Yeah been with aol for 25 yrs
When entering the email address, it opens the contact list, and that's my iPhone contact.

My one AOL address is different on Mail and on Safari which continually times out.

Mail on Macbook will not open. When it is open, it won't quit.
Email on locked network on Safari continually times out. If I unplug and replug it connects.
One AOL address does not post some emails, both sending and receiving, on both Mail and Safari

The message seems to totally disappear. It is going to an AOL customer in UK. I changed their address to start with a lowercase letter & the message was returned to me by AOL as undeliverable, I then changed the first letter of the address beck to upper case, the same I have been using for years, but again it disappeared.

My Mail account will pick up all emails but not those that come from aol addresses.

I receive emails without problems to my usual email address set up on the Mail application on my Desktop OSX 10.5.8 unless they are sent from an aol address. Oddly these emails come to my phone (Samsung Galaxy 2). These aol emails are received on the webmail (ie on my ISP server's email) so why can't I get them on my normal email system? Thanks for suggestion. Just tried to do that, forwarding from my own email address on webmail to my own email address on my client email. It worked! Spooky.
I'm thinking that my computer is either trying to protect itself in some way from this particular sender's emails or it just won't recognise them, but I can't find anything in the security settings that would be blocking them and according to my service provider they haven't set anything up either. I have received other aol email from different senders in the past.

Apex 3.1 - checkbox for selecting email addr - problem w/ HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND

So prior to the upgrade to 3.1 I had working where I use a multi-select checkbox to show email addresses with a comma behind each email address it to send via:
HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND(
p_to => :P24_EMAIL_LIST,
p_cc => :P24_CC_EMAIL_LIST,
And basically the list looked like this and was stored like this [email protected],:[email protected],:[email protected]
The way checkbox selection are stored in the database it has the colon separation. Prior to 3.1 it would send with colon : preceeding the email address, but now it doesn't. Any thoughts? I've tried using Trim(':' xxx) but not solved it yet

In Apex Instance Administration page (login to Internal workspace as admin),
Under Home>Manage InstanceInstance>Settings menu, there is an Email section.
You can specify the following items:
SMTP Host Address
SMTP Host Port
SMTP Authentication Username
SMTP Authentication Password
Administration Email Address
Notification Email Address
Maximum Emails per Workspace
If you do not have right to acces it, ask your DBA for help.

You will need to change the web hosting from the current host to Business Catalyst or republish the content to Business Catalyst. After that you'll need to change the domain to point to the Business Catalyst version. You might want to confirm that all the required features of the current hosting service are supported by Business Catalyst web basic plan included with Creative Cloud.

Maybe I am mis-understanding what you are seeing.
When I forward a message, the receiver will see the original mail (unless I edit it, such as removing any previous sender's information) and the length will be the same as the message was before forwarding except for the added line "Begin forwarded message" (again, unless I edit bits out), and there will be no attached copy of the original message.
So when you say in your reply above "The orginal email with the sender's name and address was also sent with my forwarded email." do you mean:
a) that it is still visible at the head of the text of the message (which I was saying does not happen for me because "after hitting delete, the previous sender's information disappears." [and since] "it has disappeared, it cannot be in your forwarded mail." Disappeared means it is not there.
b) another copy of the original message is attached to the forwarded email at the end, either as an included file or as repeated text.
c) some other situation.
Sorry about the previous mis-spellings! I hope that we can get to the bottom of this.
