HTMLEkitorKit color change does not work on existing color

My problem is that I use StyledEditorKit.ForegroundAction to update the color of the selected text. It works the first time but if I select a substring of the text with the color attribute and apply the foreground action again the color attribute does not change. If I change the font size or the font family first applying the foreground action to the substring does work. A previous posting listed this as a known bug. I am using sdk 1.4.1_03. I have tried using CSS attributes and setCharacterAttributes as well with no success. Does anyone know of a solution?

Anyone? I tried setting the character attributes of the selected substring one char at a time to no avail. I also tried remove the attribute from the element but that removes the attribute from the whole string and not the selected substring. Help!

My Time Capsule does not work with existing WiFi

Following a question solved on March 24 by LaPastenague, but gone bad again.

I felt the need for a physical backup of my data, as I would not completely trust the different clouds. I use, and have used Dropbox for 4-5 years and are very satisfied with that, but I am still not sure if or when a political lunatic will shut off the internet.
I purchased the Apple AP Time Capsule 2T, because all my other stuff are Apple, and that it's wireless. My old backup is Maxtor 300 GB.
Since we stay 2-3 weeks on two locations, one in Norway and one in Sweden (two different countries) we must use Mobile Broadband 4G, cables or fibre connections are useless for us, and we don't have it up to the houses. I have one mini router for each country, we bring with us iPhones, iPads, iMac, Apple TV, APExpress. When we pass the boarder I change the mini router, and the system continues working perfect on the WiFi, except the APExpress that needs to be reconfigured, but then it works.
The APTC was difficult to make working as it would not accept to be in an existing network, but with good help from the Apple Community, LaPastenague, with forcing the TC connect to the APE with Ethernet cable in bridge mode, ref "My Time Capsule does not work with existing WiFi" from March 24, the problem was solved and all gadgets worked together in a perfect harmony, until we changed location.
Now, as I have my second WiFi network, and the APExspress is reconfigured, it's like the TC thinks, I am the base boss here, I am not taking orders from APE one more time, and it simply does not work, not only that, it fluctuates all the time.
I have a slight feeling that the two WiFi bands are making the trouble as during the configuration of the TC sometime the last figure 6 and 7 pops up, and that has something two do with the two different 2,4 and 5 GHZ bands
So, I am curious if you have any idea ?
I am thinking of returning the TC if I don't make it work now, but how do I delete all the data that's on it?

Open the airport utility .. go to the disk tab and select erase.
When you select erase you will get mulitiple options.
Quick removes the file table but does not delete the files,, it takes 2min or less.
A Zero out data is the secure way,, by writing 0 ie low level drive format.
It can take several hours..
7 pass will take a week.. not recommended..
35 pass erase is ridiculous.. it would take a month.. put an ax through the TC. It is quick and better.

The fact that it did work and has now failed might point to faulty unit.
The only way to tell is reset it properly to factory and start over.
Universal Factory Reset.. any model TC or AE.
Unplug your TC/AE from power or turn off at the power point.
Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. (this is often difficult without a 2nd person or a 3rd arm).
Release it when the status light flashes rapidly. If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have missed it and try again.
Note..
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations of the router.
No files are deleted on the hard disk in a TC.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Generally having multiple wireless AP should not cause problems.. but it is better to set channels manually.. so it doesn't go beserk rotating channels.
Remember to keep all names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Sadly though the Apple routers have no logging now and no SNMP and almost nothing to help diagnose a problem, so if it continues .. take it back to apple.. they have given you no other method of fixing it.

Color Highlights does not work for chart

When I set the color coding in the chart, it works fine if I run the crystal report on the same DB that I use to design the report.
Problem occurs if I run the report on another DB. Color Highlights does not work in that case.
I am using JRC to run the reports.

In chart expert there is a tab "Color Highlightsu201D. In this tab one can specify the condition based coloring.
In my case I want to show "RED" color for Unauthorized events andu201D GREEN" color for Authorized Events.
While creating a report suppose I am using a database server "DB-A".I set the color highlights in the chart as I explained. Please be noted that when we click on the color highlights tab it asks for the database login.
To view the report we have our own server and we are using JRC APIs.
Hence I map my report with server and try to view the Report. My Server is connected with database "DB-B" which is different from the database I used to create the report.
This time color Highlight I have specified while creating the report does not work.
I have tried using the "Format Series Riser" option. But the problem with this is that, it does not color the chart conditionally.
I mean if I give GREEN for Authorized and RED for Unauthorized. It gives the green color either to Authorized or Unauthorized which so ever occur first in the chart.

Color Context does not work properly

Hi,
I'm using MII 12.1
ColorContext does not work properly with Lights and Multilights. I did not test other grids.
For every match it shows black colored lights.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

There was a bug in the early versions of 12.1 for color contexting. Color context changes were made in the display template were not being saved. I would strongly urge you to upgrade to SP5 patch 1. However, if you want a very crude way to test if your contexting is working the way you want it to:
1. Export your display template
2. Find the color context section of the xml and change the settings to the desired color coding
3. Import your modified display template
4. Test
I do not recommend this as a short term or long term solution. It is a hack and should be recognized as such. But it will allow to test your configured display template's behavior.

Color Management Does Not Work in AE

I color manage everything I do in Photoshop and Lightroom without a hitch.
After Effects CS5 does not color manage correctly. It simply does not work. The only setting I could find for it simply asks if you want it more accurate.
Maybe there are other settings somewhere, but I have not found them.
Is there anyone out there that really understands color management that is having the same problem?

I want to be able to see on my wide gamut monitor during AE preview, what I see in Photoshop. I work with stills and thought that AE would simply allow me to view my stills based on my color profile.
AE will recognize embedded color profiles, but you still need to tell it how to retain or convert them by setting up the project color space in the project options and assigning a preview (proof) profile to your comp (your monitor profile in this case) and depending on what other stuff figures in, you may need to deal with the linearization options and Gamma overrides or manually apply a color profile converter effect. Anyway, depending on what you are after and where you plan to use your resulting video, none of that may make sense and you may be tackling the problem from the wrong end. If your files are going to end up on a DVD, BluRay or as a Flash video on the web, extensive adjustments using your own profiels won't do any good, as color spaces and target profiles for specific video formats are fixed. So in fact you may need to spend time to adjust your imagery to work without color profiles or the standard sRGB profile at least....

Pages "Track Changes" does not work when working in cells in a document

While attempting to edit a WORD file (converted to Pages for my macbook) it was discovered that the Track Changes feature will not register if the changes are inside a "cell" in the file. The RFP I am trying to respond to is made up of multiple columns and rows. Anytime you make a change inside the columns or rows the "Track Changes" does not record the change. Outside of the columns/rows it works perfectly.
I download the most recent OS and Pages file last week. The issue started then.
Has anyone had this issue before?

Outlook10 shared calendars, color coding does not work

I've read several discussions, questions and answers here and tried a lot, but the problem does not seem to go away.
I created a calendar with Outlook10, added some color categories for the appointments and shared the calendar with several people. Nobody sees the colors on their computers (it's all green), as if the color categories were personal and for my use only. I
tried to "import color categories" in the data file properties and I set the categories' names as default after erranously changing them (Purple, Red etc etc.) when that didn't do any good, but NO, I'm still the only one seeing in color.

In order to see the configured Color Categories, the mailbox owner needs to assign you at least “Reviewer” permissions. This includes the “Full Details” read permission which is required for displaying Color Categories. Please make sure the Calendar permission
is configured correctly.
Additionally, I noticed that the shared calendar is a new created calendar in your mailbox instead of the main calendar. When an additional Calendar folder exists within the same mailbox and you only want to share this folder, setting the Reviewer
permission on that Calendar folder will not reveal the Color Categories in that Calendar. Once the Reviewer permission has been set on the main Calendar folder, the Color Categories will be shown in both Calendar folders. For more information about it, please

Dynamic action on text box change does not working

i have a page with following components.
a report that has and edit link.
a text box to catch the primary key from report link when it is clicked
a number of elements (text boxes, check boxes and LOVs) which are used as data entry form.
Now my design is that user enter values save them and no sooner did they save, the report depicts new
values. if user want to edit any record, they click on edit link and the data entry form elements
should now bring all those values from DB on page. i m successful to pick primary key and bring
it in a hidden text box and wrote a dynamic action on its change event that will bring values from
DB and set all page elements. but but but.........the change event doesnt work. it only work
when focus is lost from the text box...!! offcourse user wont want to click in that "hiddent" text
box and then click some where else to bring values in page data entry form......
help is humbly requested from forum or if any other solution approach is to be used easier than
one i m using, would be appreciated.

1. My page no is 3.
2. Hidden Item name is P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID
3. Data entry form, hidden item and the report are on the same page.
4. on the edit link of report, i have used following settings.
    Target: Page in this application
     Page: 3
     and i set hidden item as follows......
     Item 1   P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID         Value #ACTIVITY_ID#
   well, when i click the link on report it does bring Activity_Id in the hidden box (which is not yet hidden for debugging purpose)
Next i wrote Dynamic action which fires on the change event of P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID and run PL/SQL code with in it which is as follows

i have created another true action to check when the dynamic action is fired. its very simple alert. and the problem is, it only fires when focus is lost from the P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID. i mean, when u keep changing value inside the text box, nothing happens, when u go outside, the alert is fired and so the pl/sql procedure. but the line
    :P3_Dept := :Dept;       OR      :P3_Dept := Dept;         arent working which is the actual requirement.
I m not using set value here as i have to set a lot of values on page not one. further. plz let me get rid of this lost focus thing as i want the form to be populated with correct values related to P3_EDIT_ACTIVITY_ID as the user click on any edit_link in the report.

Business View change does not show in existing Parameter Group

I have an existing report that includes a dynamic, cascading LOV and associated parameter group. The LOV is based on a Business View.
I modified the Business View to limit the available values. (Actually, I modified the Data Foundation and then updated the Business Elements, Business View, and LOV.) I cleared the LOV using the Business View Manager, rescheduled the LOV, and received a message indicating that the refresh was Successful. If I open the report, the old list of values are still displayed.
To test, I created a new report. I used the Enterprise as the data source and selected the Business View used by the LOV and parameter group. If I query the Business View, I only see the rows I expect to see after the change made to the Data Foundation, Business Elements, Business View, .....
How do I force the existing report to use the current LOV?

Color Replacement does not work

I'm tyring to work through the tutorials. I've done the color replacement instructions over and over again just as the instructions seem to say which isn't very good, and nothing happens. Can anyone give a step by step instruction that works. The ones in the iPad tutorial for the MAC version is not working. I am working with version 14.XX on a Macbook Pro totally up to date.
I watched a youtube video but is for an older version. Not much help as tools have been changed.

Color management does not work as expected, different from v3.6

Color management seems to work differently than FF 3.6.
On a home page, I have a background graphic that is supposed to blend into the page background. I have left that graphic untagged so the blending will work in all browsers regardless of color management. This works fine in IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox 3.6 in all color management modes.
In default mode 2 in v3.6, the graphics is not color managed because it is untagged. The page's background is left as is, and things blend perfectly. In mode 1, full color management, the graphic is assumed to be srgb and is color managed, and the page's background color seems to follow.
In Firefox 4, using mode 1 creates a mismatch between graphic and background, as if this time only the graphic is color managed and not the rest. This is bad because it now creates a situation where we cannot be sure that there will be a match.

Color change tool not working properly

I am running Photoshop CS5.
Now when I try to replace color, these are my steps
color replacement tool
mode: color
sampling: continuous
limits: find edges
tolerance: 33%
anti-alias: selected
I pick my color that I want to replace. If it is a green, or a blue, it will replace the color, but it replace with a neon color instead of the color that i pick.
If i use a white or a black, it will not replace the color at all.
Any ideas how to fix the problem?

Plain and simple: Learn how to work with selections and then use adjustments or e.g. the paint bucket tool. You are fundamentally misunderstanding how the tool works. All of what you see is as it should be - based on your settings it retains luminance and just replace the color info which explains why black and white don't respond (as there is no color) and how substituting a color while retaining the luminance would yield an unexpected visual result. Again, your approach is wrong, not the tool.

W530 Color management does not work

I just received a W530 to replace a W520 from lenovo. I've loaded my monitor profiles that I've been using on the W520 into the proper directory on system32. Using the color management control panel I've set up the w530 identically to the W520, however, when I load and select different profiles for my monitor, and make them the default, nothing happens, the monitor remains the same. This happens even loading completely wrong profiles that would make the monitor look terrible if they loaded. On the W520 selecting profiles and making them the default under the color managment control panel works properly.
Any suggestions would be very welcome at this point. The display bios settings are identical on both machines, as are the settings for the monitor under the advanced tab.

Highlighting changes does not work with rulebased workflow

Hi Experts,
When we run the standard change requests provided with MDG 7 FP 2 we can see changes highlighted in colour but when we copy the same change request and make it a rule-based workflow we lose the functionality in the new change request.
Is there something else we need to do to have the same functionality for Rule based workflow?

Yes.I am copying the standard change request that is working with highlighting the changes and then I change the copied workflow to the rule based workflow.
The standard Change requests are highlighting the changes.
I am using MDGF 7 with FP 2.
We upgraded from MDG 6.1 to MDG 7 FP 2 and I am not convinced that the old UI was completely replaced when I run report RGZZGLUX before I opened the firs change request.
I have the new UI in my change requests but the highlighting function is not working , even if I create a new CR from the Standard CR's now.
