Hey! I know its already obsolete, but im working on a small project and I think this program is the best for this job.
Im trying to use an external font / import a font on a topic, but each time I complied it, it isnt working.
I dont want to install the font on my machine/ it wont let me because it needs admin rights. So, the question is, is it possible to use external font?
and why is my name go.vinda? please call me aj

Fontagent Pro 4.0.2 is very slow on importing fonts

Everytime I try to import fonts into Fontagent, I have to wait a looong time. Importing 16 fonts with about 162 files took about 15(!) minutes. Furthermore, if FAP is unable to import a certain font, it does not display a warning message. Instead it says 'no fonts have been imported". Which does not keep it from copying the fonts to its font folder. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Where did you find version 4.0.2? I'm only still getting 4.0.1 when downloading from InsiderSoftware or MacUpdate.
4.0.1 was a no-go with us because I'd get crashes with some InDesign documents. I don't have time to add that to the workday.

I haven't copied any fonts yet. So I copy the fonts folder from the pc to a mini drive is that right and it will install ok on to my Mac?

Import font as member under Mac

I want to import some specific font into cast and use it for
the case the
font is not installed on users computer
It works without problems under PC, but when I try to do it
under MAC - I
can not do it
The reason - when I select "Insert -> Media element ->
Font ...", "Font Cast
member Properties" dialog opens, but the List of fonts in
field "Original
Font:" does not contain the font, that I want to import into
my cast (in my
case Segoe Print)
The font is installed on the system (for example when I
select some
textmember, i can set its font using "Text Inspector"-dialog
- my font is
present there)
What is the reason of this problem - is there any
requirements to fonts that
can be imported into casts?

The problem is - I need specific german symbols in that font
(ä,ö,ü,ß).
And when font is imported under Windows - the german text is
showed correct,
but when I move the same file to the mac- the Umlaut symbols
are showed
wrong - as rectangles
It looks like symbols, that present desired letters under Mac
have other
codes
Therefore I wanted to import the font on Mac - but without
success

How to import fonts (for use with g.drawString)?

Problem
I need (and or would like to) import a custom font (.TTF) from my src folder. So that I can do something similar to the following:

Question
How do I import fonts (.TTF preferably) from my src folder? (a link is a sufficient answer)

Embedding a font does not make it available in Illustrator or any other program. (Exception, Acrobat is able, and must, use the font to correctly draw the page.)
If there are missing fonts when opening a pdf in Illustrator, the fonts are not installed on the machine.
As Bob said, "Illustrator is not a pdf editor!". It can, and is abused for such, all to often, with caveats.

Trouble importing font

Hi. Having trouble importing a font -- universe to be specific. I brought it into Font Book and it's working in Pages. But when I select it in Final Cut, I get a bold, italicized text. It doesn't change -- it's bold and italicized -- no matter what style I choose (plain/bold/italic/bold-italic).
Any ideas on how to fix this?

False alarm -- the font works fine in the video panel of the viewer. It's only slanted and bold in the control panel.

I haven't used Elements for very long and would like to use some scrapbooking fonts for cards and digital scrapbooking how do I import these fonts?

Ah, too bad. I hope at least they have transparent backgrounds....

I am an absolute beginner with Adobe Flash CS6. Managed to work with it so far but I would really need to use the Korean Font "Gulim" witihin the software.
Couldn't find anything to this topic neither in the community nor on the internet, would be glad if s.o. could help me!

If you are on Windows, it could be related to a recent Windows update. Seems to have started yesterday for a lot of people. Check out this thread (or any of the other text related threads from yesterday).

The issue is related to the Windows Font Parsers. Maybe TLF uses it's own.

Does anyone know if it's possible to import a font (Maximo) from Illustrator CS to CS3?

That question makes no sense. Illustrator does not create, save, or export fonts.

Can you import fonts into Adobe Ideas and Photoshop Touch?

Thinking about getting these apps and wanted to know if I could download fonts and use them in the apps like you would on a computer. Never had a tablet before either so just wondering if you could and how

Ideas does not have the capability to add text to a project that you're working on.
