HtmlText anchors respond only on every other click.

Hi,
I'm using Flex 3.5 and I have a Text object with an anchor set in the htmlText property. The link only works on every other click. Is this a known problem in Flex?

I've done a simple case and I've found out that I get this problem when the htmlText is inside a TabNavigator object. If it's outside it works as expected.

I think it's a focus issue. You have to click once on the link for the tab to gain focus. Is there a good work around for this?

My keyboard is only registering every other stroke when i edit

I'm a writer and I just got Macbook Pro. (2.4ghz core 2 duo)
I really like the machine, but it really just isn't working for writing.
When I go to edit any of my text I've already written, it only recognizes every other keystroke from the arrow keys or the delete key.
It's driving me nuts. Editing is a big part of writing and I currently have to hit twice as many keystrokes to navigate text than I would otherwise have to.
It's intermittent though, sometimes after a restart it works fine for a while.
Happens same with the onboard keyboard as with the apple usb keyboard.
It never happens in the web browser or editing in a window like this submission form, but when it starts it's in text edit and subetha edit.
I wonder if this might have something to do with X11, which I run a lot of the time?
Any suggestions would be helpful. I need to be able to edit consistently.

Submit to an iframe, only happens every other time

We have a navigation (tree widget) that is generated with JavaScript. Clicking on the tree nodes is supposed to load an url i the content iframe.
A hidden form is used for this. By clicking on a tree node a hidden inputs field value is set and the hidden form is submitted that does a post to the iframe (using target on the form).
First question would be if this is the best solution for this. Feels a bit hacky.
But the main problem is that the form is only submitted every other time.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Seems rather unfair to pay nearly £40 for each individual episode when each other season has the option to buy the entire season for £9.99 (including seasons after season 3)

Batch capture P2 only getting every other clip

I recently had to reload a project that was shot on P2. Still had the footage on an external hard drive so I figured no problem. Plugged in the hard drive. Mounted it in Log and transfer. Selected all the clips I needed and hit Batch Capture.
It only recaptured every other clip. So I selected the clips left and tried again. Still every other. Continued this way until I got them all, but with over 200 clips it was a real pain. Has anybody else had tis problem, know what I did wrong or how to make FCP get all the clips next time.

IMac freezes with every other click

I am new to the community and hope to find help for a big problem.
I run OS Yosemite 10.10.1 on my 2010 iMac 2.93 i7 (upgraded to 12GB RAM a year ago).
For the past 5 days it gives me the colorful wheel of death almost with every second click. I cannot open a program or search a site or move a file without the iMac freezing up. Just writing these two sentences, it froze twice for about 45 seconds, which is the average, but it can take up to 2 min before the Mac responds again. I have not changed anything on my iMac knowingly in the past few weeks.
I closed every program I don't need, shut down dropbox, Google Chrome, and any program I can imagine slows down processing speed. I cleaned my desktop, made sure I have 20% space on the HD. Since I am always suspicious of the Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, I logged in with a different user name that does not use these programs. Nothing helps. I used Magician, Disk Utility, Activity monitor to see if anything looks odd, but all seems normal.
I am not that Mac literate, so I just discovered the Console that seems to log error events. This is what the last 5 min look like; it tells me I had 4000 events logged yesterday. Is this normal?
Please if anyone can advise what to check, change or do to stop this nuisance that would be awesome.

Basic guess:
Under utilities you have to run the disk doctor to see what is wrong with either your hard drive or backup drive - stop time machine first & check the backup drive first as that is the one that may be damaged.
Hopefully someone is online now who can post the details -
Another option is to take it in for repair to apple store or authorized apple dealer (if on warrantee of any kind)

Issues when printing a website of multiple pages, only prints every other page

I have recently started using Firefox as since using windows 8 have found a few problems with explorer.
I sell a great deal on ebay and in order to print my invoices, ebay create a webpage with all of them on.
I have attempted to print this through firfox and it only seemed to print every other page fully(1,3,5,7 etc.)
Pages 2,4,6 etc. would have just the first couple of text lines on but nothing else, it even shows it like this on the print preview. can you help?

I am surprised you can send mail, but not receive.
If you want ot send mail, you will have to configure the MTA to allow relaying for your internal IP address range. Edit the INTERNAL_IP section of the mappings file, change the 32 after the ipaddrees of your system to somthing like 24 or 16 (depending on your network!)
If you can send & receive messages in webmail, then there must be something wrong with your outlook settings for reading. Are you trying to read mail using POP or IMAP? What are your settings for POP system, user & password, etc?
Also, creating a user in the console is fully supported. No problem, just don't forget to tick the "mail" service and do the mail settings for the account.

Looping through text files loads all 2014 files correctly, but 2013 files only loads every other row

Hello all. I am once again stumped and would very much appreciate any help.
I have a folder with many text files such as this...
A 2013-03-31.txt
A 2013-06-30.txt
A 2013-09-30.txt
A 2013-12-31.txt
A 2014-03-31.txt
A 2014-06-30.txt
A 2014-09-30.txt
B 2013-03-31.txt
B 2013-06-30.txt
B 2013-09-30.txt
B 2013-12-31.txt
B 2014-03-31.txt
B 2014-06-30.txt
B 2014-09-30.txt
…and so on…
and I'm loading all of the files beginning with A to an existing table in SQL Server. I'm loading the data as is to a staging table, no data type conversions, and I add only two derived columns. I have a loop to accomplish this, and it's working perfectly
except for one detail. All of the files in 2013 load every other row. All of the 2014 files load all rows as intended.
Any idea what would cause this? All files are being loaded using the same loop, same variables, same everything. My enumerator on the for each loop is Foreach File. The DataRowsToSkip property on the flat file connection manager is 0. I'm not sure where
to look next. I need all rows in all files to be loaded.
Forgot to mention that there is a difference between the 2013 and 2014 files. The 2014 files have 8 additional columns. I suspect this is causing my issue, just not sure what to do about it.

In SSIS 2012 and above these additional columns would not cause a failure, but looks like lead to you having impartial loads.
I suggest you create two loops, one for one metadata - files from 2014 and another for 2013 ones.

Using Advanced Actions to Make a button appear only after three other click boxes have been clicked.

I'm working on an interactive brief, and I'm making slides where the user has to click the correct items and then a "Contine" or "Next" button appears so they can move to the next slide. Any help out there? I have been using Captivete but I do not have a lot of experience withthe Advanced Actions. I'm sure this is a pretty simple solution for all you captivate Wizards out there.

Hi Matt,
Can you post some pictures of the Advanced Actions you're trying to use that aren't working? It might give people some ideas of specific ways to help you. It can be a bit frustrating to start out, since there's not a lot out there in Adobe's official stuff for Adobe Actions, but Lilybiri's blog really is a great resource.
Others might do this differently, but for your scenario, I would create 3 similar Advanced Actions, each one assigned to execute On Success for a clickbox, and three Variables to keep track of whether or not the user has clicked a particular box. There's also your next button, which starts out hidden. Make sure to name it something like NextButton so you can find it easily in the dropdown box when making your Advanced Actions.
So I might name the actions and variables: actionClickBox1, actionClickBox2, actionClickBox3, and varClickBox1, varClickBox2, varClickBox3 (when you create the variables, set their default values to 0). You can call them whatever you want, just don't reuse names anywhere else-- you will run into problems.
The idea behind the actions is that each time the user clicks a box, you change the variable for that box to keep track of the fact that it has been clicked. That part you were on the right track for. The next part of the action then checks to see if all the clickboxes have been clicked (aka, if all the variables have been changed from their original values to the new one). If they are, it shows a next button. If not, it does nothing.
From what you said, I think you were trying to add an Advanced Action to show the next button to the next button itself. This would only execute when the user clicks that button, which makes it impossible-- you'd have to click the next button in order to show the button so that you can click it... oh dear. The decision of whether or not to show the next button needs to be part of the clickbox actions, so that upon clicking the third and final box, the next button will pop up. Because it makes this decision (to show or not to show) on each clickbox, the order you click them in doesn't matter. It will only show the next button once all the variables have been changed.
You will see that the actions are all very similar, except for the variable that they change:

Hint: If you set up one of these actions and save it, you can click a button in the top right hand corner to duplicate it and then just change the few things that are different to make the next action. It saves you from having to create it three times from scratch!

Why does every other click jump one frame wrong?

Hi, my name's nicole and I am having difficulty with a simple
flash portfolio.
I have six button symbols on scene 1 of a flash document.
Each button is associated with ActionScript 3.0 to jump to one of
six frames in scene one. What's strange is when you are say on the
home page and click the home page the button makes you jump just
one frame forward in the animation. I've used this code before and

If each of these pages are one frame apart from each other,
then you are better off using gotoAndStop().
If you gotoAndPlay() the same frame you're already in, it
doesn't go anywhere so it will play from the frame your in because
any stop() that may be in the frame is already used up. It's a
confusing thing to explain, so hopefully you get it... the goto is
gone to already, and with nothing to stop it, it will play.

MacPro is slow and spinning wheel shows up every other click

It's been a couple of days that my MacPro is running slow and the spinning wheel keeps showing up.
is there any way to fix this or should I take it to Apple store?

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

KDE: Laptop only sleeps when closing lid every other time

Hello all,
I'm running KDE 4.14.1 on an older Toshiba Satellite laptop. In the KDE System Settings, I've told it to sleep when closing the lid and this works - but strangely only every other time I close the lid. It will work once, then I open the lid and it powers up just fine. Then I close it again and the screen just turns off but the laptop stays fully powered.
Any ideas what might be going on? It consistently only sleeps every other time when I close the lid (the other times it just turns the screen off).

Take a look at /etc/systemd/logind.conf
Is systemd also trying to manage this?
