HTTP 401 error while connecting SAP PI 7.1 with SOAPAdapter
Hello,
I am trying to call webservice on R/3 system using SAP PI 7.1 but I am getting HTTP 401 error.
Following is the error for more detail:
Message: Server returned error code = 401 for URI : http://sapxx03x:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_xxxxxxxxxxx_50:CC_xxxxxxxxxxxxx_WSDL_Sender.
same url when I use with SAP XI 3.0 it works fine. It is only giving problem with PI 7.1
I know this issue is related to authentication but what problem I am facing is how to pass the credentical with the url to
resolve this authentication issue? Are there any settings I am missing? or Any other way of doing it?
I have already tried following things to resolve this issue:
1. tried giving user id & password in URL but still having same error HTTP 401.
2. tried one of the SAP note (891877) regarding Netweaver Administration to change ROLE settings but problme still persist.
3. Checked SAP Help settings
4. Did changes to web.xml file to comment the security part and restarted the system
But, Problem still exist.
Please let me know what will be the solution for this issue.
Thanks,
AnandHello Abhishek,
Fine I will try using new URL but user id & password are working fine with PI 7.1.
I tried running URL directly and it is working fine and giving following message:

%DMVPN-3-DMVPN_NHRP_ERROR: Tunnel0: NHRP Encap Error for Resolution Request , Reason: protocol generic error (7)
I had pre-allocated tunnel ip's to remote spokes , some of them were implemented and put into production. Some of them got the config but the tunnel interfaces were left at shut.
Its because of this reason that the DMVPN HUB keeps getting nhrp request from one of the inactive spokes. Following is the sh ip nhrp extract :-
10.x.x22/32
Tunnel0 created 00:02:58, expire 00:00:06
Type: incomplete, Flags: negative
Cache hits: 7
I just cant seem to find the spoke WAN ip to identify it. I tried debugs but just cant get it.
From HUB:-

So my question is , How do i find out the spoke wan ip , so i can do something about it. For now, its just filling up my logs on HUb router...not good ;-))Hello Marcin,
If tunnel interface is shut no NHRP activity should be going, on top, in debugs you point the hub is sending resolution request, not receiving it.
Agree, I expected the same, but unfortunately this is not the case. Spoke does sent out NHRP requests even with Tunnel status as admin shut.
If your hub does not have NHS, it will not know where to send it's resolution request.
I am still on DMVPN Phase 1, so Spokes dont talk to other spokes yet.
Are you positive that there is nothing that is sending packets towards 10.x.x.22 on hub side (sniffer trace of classyfing ACL on "LAN")?
Other then a spoke, it cant be anthing, as the subnet is dedicted for tunnel interface's.
If you know it's not a misconfig and there is no traffic on hub side initiated to 10.x.x.22, try removing and adding full tunnel configuration. i.e. we want to make sure that crypto socket gets closed and restrated.
I can do this over weekend, but i am sure this is not going to fix the problem, reason being, that the HUB was setup before anything else and then we started migrating spokes from primary legacy gre tunnels to dmvpn tunnel as primary and legacy as a backup.
Guess, I am still looking for the answer...Is there a WAN acl that i can use to filter the successfully migrated spokes and log the deny message as in to know what remote wan ip carries along the tunnel ip of .22 or any other debug ?? -

I found the response to the problem. I summarize the solution in the following point :
1- when you connect to a standalone content services server via the webservices api, you get a single String as cookie and to upload a document to server you use the same single cookie.
2- bu when you connect to cluster content services via the webservices api, you get an Array of String as cookies and to upload a document to server you need to transform the array of cookie into a single String cookie to be able to be authenticated by the http server, look to the following code
String cookie="";
for(int i=0;i < connection.getCookie().length;i++) {
cookie = cookie + connection.getCookie() +";"; -
Oracle ADF Secured App Gives HTTP 401 Error
I am new to Oracle ADF Framework. I develop on JDeveloper 11g R2 with Weblogic 10.3.5.0. I developed an project like described in a Firebox training video on Youtube link: [http://bit.ly/HT1HZ9] . You can download my project from http://db.tt/Y8J3fj3y
The video was about creating a custome login page. You have to create login,error anad the target pages. When you try to open target page login page comes then you enter your credentials. After success yoou should be directed to the target page. I used a backing bean to process credentials but instead of redirected to target page the response page gives:
Error 401--Unauthorized From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
And the weblogic console this error:
Target URL -- http://127.0.0.1:7101/Deneme-ViewController-context-root/faces/protectedPage.jspx

According to your description, my understanding is that SharePoint 2013 workflow suspend with 401 error.
For resolving your issue , please do as the followings:
Be sure User profile synchronization is started.
The user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
Final step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
Here is a similar post for your reference:

In addition, there is another reason for this issue, please take a look at:

Http 401 error starting a managed server
Hi,
I'm new to wl and am setting up a managed server on wl6.0.
I read and followed the instructions in the admin guide - really!
I have an admin server running under the petstore domain,
on port 7001 and am trying to run a managed server under
"devdomain".
Below is the java command my startup script is using
to start the managed server. It is failing with a security
error (http 401). I don't see anything in the dox about an
additional userid/password control at the http level.
When I browse directly to http://webdev:7001/Bootstrap,
I get http password pop-up. The system userid and password
does not work.
What dox can I go to for help on this?
Thx

401 Error for all files after CF8 install?
After I install coldfusion 8 on windows server 2008 with IIS7, I get a 401 "Unauthorized user" error for every page, regardless of whether its a CFM page or not. When I uninstall CF8 the error goes away. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a resolution?
I was getting the same "-36" error while trying to backup to a Lacie firewire external drive.
I had a lot of people telling me to re-format, erase, reinstall, run utility programs ... yada, yada, yada.
First off, test to see if it is the connection type (firewire). I reconnected the offending external drive via USB, restarted the drive and ... BINGO! ... all transfers went perfectly.
Once i knew it was the firewire connection and not the drive itself i simply unplugged my iSight camera (the only other firewire device connected to my machine), reconnected my external drive via firewire and the problem is now corrected.
Firewire buses seem to be very finicky things ... i would suggest eliminating all firewire devices from the machine (except, of course, the external drive you're trying to transfer to) and see if the problem goes away.
Like i said, i simply unplugged my iSight camera and the transfer to my external drive went perfect and my transfer rates went from an average of 4MB/sec to over 19MB/sec.
P.S. BTW - prior to the error and after i corrected the error by unplugging the iSight camera, my internal and external drives all checked out 100% on Disk Utility, Disk Warrior and TechTool Pro. -
Http 401 unauthorized for domain user
I am having an issue with SCCM reporting. One particular domain user is getting 401 error;unauthorized. The user has the identical rights as the other users (based on security group membership) but gets the error when clicking on reports > create report.
In addition, the user doesn't get the default listing for the reports. Even more peculiar the user can access both the report server and manager URLs.
Win 2008 R2 w/ SCCM 2012 and SQL server 2008 R2 (runs the reporting site role)What is the Security role of this user? Normally, if you give the proper rights for the user in SCCM console, SCCM will take care the security settings in Reporting Service. Anyway, check the settings by accessing SCCMreportserver/reports

Http 401 error when uploading file to content services
Hi,
When i try to upload a document, the document is created in the folder with empty content and i have the 401 http error.
Someone can help me to resolve thise problem.
Thank's for advance.I found the response to the problem.
String cookie="";
for(int i=0;i < connection.getCookie().length;i++) {
cookie = cookie + connection.getCookie() +";"; -
HTTP 404 Error for CF9 Administrator
I get the following error when trying to start the Cold Fusion Administrator after installing CF9 on Windows 7 64 bit with IIS:
HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found
The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map.
What to do?Hi,
I would suggest posting this query in the Cold Fusion Forum for a quicker and specific response.

Mutli threading in Server Socket giving error for parallel requests
HI, I wrote a ServerSocketProgram.java which listens to client and receives data. I used multithreading on each request it receives . But when two clients parallelly send data the server is struck at the iStream.read() operation. I have given setSoTimeOut(20000) . So its giving me a socketTimeOut Exception .If I removed the time out , It gave SocketException : socket closed. And there's no response to the client.
Please tell me the reason for the above problem . The sample program is below.
while ((clientSocket=serverSocket.accept())!=null){
System.out.println("in side main "+clientSocket.getInetAddress());
Thread c= new Thread(new ServerSocketProgram(clientSocket));
c.setDaemon(true);
c.start();
The Constructor is :
public ServerSocketProgram(Socket clientSocket){
this.socket = clientSocket;
try {
oStream =new DataOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
iStream =new DataInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
The run method :
public void run() {
int op=0;
try {
while ((op=iStream.read())!=0){
System.out.println(op);
oStream.writeBytes("hi success ");
oStream.flush();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
try{
oStream.close();
iStream.close();
socket.close();
}catch(Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
Thanks in advance ,
Sow

sow_YarrYour end-of-stream test should be looking for -1, not zero. Zero is a possible data value, but you're probably never receiving it so you're never getting to the output statement following your read loop.

Import Error for the request - pl URGENt
Hi Team,
I've cretaed a request and transport to test box while import th request I'm getting the below error message.
Activation of the update rules <cube Name>.
Pl advise.
Regards,
SenthilHi Raja,
Look at all the data flows from that datasource.
Sometimes the update rules of another cube coming from the same datasource are inactive.
So go to the datasource, show the dataflow and check all paths from that flow.
The error message does not always name the correct cube.
Succes,
Udo
