I have created a new database. When i tried to enter into the enterprise manager through the URL http://localhost:7778/em it displays the following error
"HTTP 404 Not Found"
Someone please help me

That is because you are using the wrong port number. AFter installation, it showed you the correct port number for you installation. If not find it in $ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini

We have customized hire flow and Oracle aplication 11i and added some HTML pages from PL/SQL. We are receiving "HTTP 404 Not Found Error" intermittently when clicking on submit button to go to the next page. If we close the browser and perform the same transaction it is working fine.
Can you please help us in troubleshooting this issue.

If you are using Apache, check the error log for more details about the 404. If you are using EPG, there are similar logs somewhere but I can't tell you where off-hand.

HTTP 404 Not Found Error in Process Control Mail

Hi All,
I am working on version 9.3.3
I have setup e-mail alerts through a SMTP server.
When I am going on Process control and starting the cycle OR promoting to any level, I am getting a Minimized window showing HTTP 404 Not Found error and Mail is not going.
Whereas My ICP mail alerts are working fine
Please suggest something to resolve.

HTTP 404 not found Error while click on Tab

Hi All,
Please help us as we are facing issue in Prodution.
We are using Apex 3.0.1 version. our appication having 1 parent tab and 4 child tabs. parent tab working fine and 3 child tabs are working fine but while click on 4th child tab we are getting HTTP 404 not found error.
The detials in tab/page
it has 4 reports and 5 Iteams and 1 Hidden iteams.
We are not able to find out the issue please help us.

i do understand that 1 hour is not sufficient to answer in forum but my situation is strange.
To take a wild stab in the dark - how do you define your links in the tab set? Are you linking to a page in the application or your own URL?
Kumar: I have linked to pages in Appication. In same appication rest of the TAB's are working fine with respective linked pages but only one TAB is not working, getting error.
URL is same for all pages/Tabs, i don't think URL is the issue here.
Please help me to get exact error so that i can resolve the issue my own. is there any possibilities to find out the errors in backend tables or elase files.

External Catalog gives HTTP 404 not found error on return

I have an SRM 4.0 that I am running with an external ITS. I have two systems that are almost exactly the same. When I shop with a particular external catalog in one system, it works fine. When I shop in the other system, I can get to the catalog and shop OK, but when I try to return the items to my cart, I get a 404 not found error. I have reviewed the HTML source being sent back to both systems and can identify no differences. I have scoured the config and it is exactly the same. There are no other error messages anywhere in the broken system. There are other external catalogs in that system that work fine. I know I am overlooking something but can't seem to figure out what. Any suggestions to alleviate this most frustrating problem are greatly appreciated.

Sudden "HTTP 404 Not Found" Error

I have been able to get my application to launch several times successfully. Late Friday and today, however, when I start up a new deployment of the application to view further changes I've made with a a fresh war file, I get a Page Not Found error when I try to view it. I am following hte same steps that worked previously.
How do I fix this?

Check your server and log files. See all the log files. May be your application is not deployed or had deployment errors. Or server may be crashed. If you have admin details, login into weblogic console and see if your app is deployed and is Active. If you cannot login into console, it means server is killed. See the log files for more details.

Failing Connecting PHP to MySQL with HTTP 404 NOT FOUND Error

I'm using Dreamweaver CC to connect php to mySQL, and read both of these articles but still not working!
1. It keep showing me HTTP 404 NOT FOUND. But I can access MySQL by web browser so I'm sure the address and login info is correct.
2. There is no MMHTTPDB.php in my project folder.

File not found error when opening securedoc.html

We are having a sudden issue where recipients of our secure envelope emails will open a message from us with attachments and they will get a "File Not Found" error message.
We are still using a Post X appliance, but no config changes were made whatsoever and this started happening since last weekend. (Oct. 9-11)
I did reboot the Post X box and thought the problem was fixed w/ the reboot. I sent a secure message to myself and then opened it along with the attachment and all was good. I sent the second test and the problem was back; "File not found".
I have noticed that when I get file not found the address bar in my browser is pointing to: https://res.cisco.com/websafe/eo/error?error=notfound
The time after rebooting when it did work it pointed to file on my local computer hard drive:
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/mymachine/Local%20Settings/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/PXTemp/-6pAQ4_Y5hJEmKdQhtG8lhNx0zo!/PX_L_1255377132267.html
Any ideas what could have caused this sudden issue? How do we resolve? I have a call into support, but they have been researching it all day and our secure mail is down!

I am getting a 404 Not Found error when I try to access Yahoo Mail from Firefox. I can log in but Yahoo Mail will not open. It will open in IE. The problem is here at home.

File not found error when opening .JPG files in Photoshop CC

uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop CC and cannot resolve this issue.
any time i open a .jpg file in photoshop, I get a "Could not complete your request because the file was not found."
the file is obviously there, so i'm assuming its missing some sort of plugin, which i thought would be resolved when reinstalling photoshop.
very frustrated and not sure how to fix this.
running OSX mavericks

BPEL Console URL shows "HTTP 404 Not Found Error"

Application server is running fine.
But the BPEL console, ESB and any other Middleware tools are showing same "The Webpage cannot be found" error.
Plz help me debug this.

Yes, all middleware applications show status of up and running.
But none of web module other than middleware, run could test for any application.
But http_server and other instances are all fine.

JAXB in applet causing HTTP 404 (Not Found) error messages

I am using JAXB in an (signed) applet to unmarshall XML into Java objects. It works fine and requires only a few lines of code, but when I take a look at my Tomcat log files, I notice that a lot of requests are being made that result in a 404 error message:

This piles up my log files and unnecessarily slows down both my server and application. Can anybody tell me why these requests are being made? Apparently, my applet can do perfectly without them. Is there a way of preventing these requests from being made? Shouldn't the applet look for them in its jar instead of asking the server?

Although these configuration files are not strictly needed, the whole class path is searched for them, which, in case of an applet, also involves server-side directories. By supplying them in your jar, you can prevent this overhead. It appears that javax.xml.datatype.DatatypeFactory, javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory, and jaxb.index can even be empty files; only in jaxb.properties I had to enter a property value (com.sun.xml.internal.bind.v2.ContextFactory). It might not be a good idea to specify such a vendor-specific implementation detail, but it works for me. Perhaps I have been looking in the wrong place, but I find the use of all these files badly documented.

HTTP 404 Not found OEM login error

Hallo!I have installed Oracle 11gR2 on a HP-UX Itanium server.I have been using OEM seamlessely for several weeks.However,I am getting the error below.
I am able to lauch OEM from its url
https://<ip_address>:1158/em/console/aboutAppplication
When I login with SYS AS SYSDBA,I get the HTTP 404 Not found error from the logon URL
https:// <ip_address>:1158/em/console/logon/logon
How do I resolve this error?

Getting Error HTTP 404 NOT FOUND on launching MAM app

I started MAM application and i got the HTTP 404 not found error. I am not even able to reach the login page .
I tries to debug the application and find out the reason, but unable to locate anything as debug point kept moving between classes like Object , string , MAP classes .
How could i locate the error for the problem or what could be the possible cause ?

how did you start your MAM? are you using the -app option?
from the log, it seems that you have an auto-login enabled.
if you ran your MI from NWDS, try removing the debug
options -logon:<user>:<password>
