HTTP connection ABAP runtime failed- 404 Error

Hi,
We have just installed a new PI 7.0 system. When we do the cache connectivity test we get the following error:
"HTTP connection to ABAP runtime failed:
Error: 404 Not Found
URL: http://PID:50000/sap/xi/simulation?sap-client=020
User: PIDIRUSER
The port should have  be 8000, but it is picking 50000. Can someone tell us where to fix this issue? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Karma

Hi,
I know you got to set the correct URL and port  ,I am not sure but I think URL in  SLD and port for IS.
and URL supposed to be something like this  http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
please see last two replies in this thread,

  • HTTP connection to ABAP runtime failed

I am building a scenario where XI picks up a file from a directory and pushes an IDoc to ECC.  I have configured the interface with the Design tool, and I believe my setup in the Configuration tool are correct too, however I am encountering an error when testing the scenario by means of --
    Tools --> Test Configuration.
The testing tool is giving me the following error upon processing the reciever determination:
HTTP connection to ABAP Runtime failed.
    Error: 403 Forbidden
    URL: http://serveraddress:port/sap/xi/simulation?sap-client=100
    User: PIDIRUSER
First of all, I am not sure who the PIDIRUSER is, I assume it's a system user?  Second, given that this error is a HTTP connection error, I am lead to believe that the issue lies somewhere in the RFC connection from XI -> ECC.  I am not sure why exactly it's attempting to connect via HTTP as my communication channel is using the IDoc adapter with an RFC destination to connect to ECC.  Possibly I have configured this incorrectly.  I have read about having to configure a RFC adapter when posting messages from R/3 to XI, does the same apply when posting an IDoc from XI to ECC?  Does anyone have any other thoughts as to why this error may be occuring?  Thanks in advance for your time and help.

    Hi
    Try this
    note 517484
    1) Activated all services
    2) In Integration builder, receiver communication channel make sure you have entered proper
    host service number
    path = /sap/xi/enigne?type = receiver.
3)Go to SU01 > type PIISUSER and reset the user's pw
Check out this might be helpful
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/89/05793c05f0807be10000000a11405a/content.htm
1.Did you maintain Client, userid, password, and lang information in SICF transaction -> sap/xi/engine? Double click on service and check whether you have entered correct information.
2.Then you might check the roles of the XIISUSER in SU01. In some case there are some double roles, i.e., two times the role SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER assigned. One might have the date of the last update, the other one might have apparently the older version. Delete the older roles manually and the error should disappear.
3.to send messages to xi you need a service id / pwd which is specific to your landscape usually its xiappluser. Contact your basis group for password.
    4.
    - Activated all services on the r3 system.
    - Create HTTP connection to XI from r3
    sm59-> http connetons to r3
    - let us say you have created a HTTP connection in the integrationserver_XI, make sure in its settings the prefix path is set to /sap/xi/engine?type=entry. Also check its log on credentials, you can use xiappluser.
    - IN Integration builder, receiver communication channel make sure you have entered proper
    host service number
    path = /sap/xi/enigne?type = receiver.
    5. can you also try the following;
Visual Admin -> start the service,
    "com.sap.aii.af.ms.app".
I don't know this Forum no fhats why i copied.
    Thanks

  • I'm getting DataSource.NotFound: OData: Request failed (404) error when open connection

    Hi,
I have a simple OData service running in a server. When I try to call him in a browser all works fine. But in Excel Power Query, after the user authentication step, I get this error in Query editor
DataSource.NotFound: OData: Request failed (404): The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
    Details:
        http://<URL>/GIPJAM/$metadata
The service is configured in a server and he his public. The URL (working in browser) http://<URL>:91/GIPJAM/
This may be a port (91) problem? My application runs in port 80. This 91 port is to guarantee that the server is public. For exemple, if I run in my home network, using the name of the machine in the URL (like; http://quiron.blabla.net/GIPJAM/) all works
in browser and in Excel PQ.
I've made every test I can remember but i'm newbie in OData services and server, IIS and network configurations.
    Anyone can help me?
    Regards,
    Filipe Almeida
EDIT: I have this workaround implemented: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/dc0ca6ff-6583-4373-a31f-acb95e8046ef/connecting-to-odata-feed-using-powerquery-216-results-in-404-error?forum=powerquery
I'm using Power Query 2.16 and Excel 2013, with a Odata V4 Service in Web .NET API 2.2

It looks like your service probably supports V3 and V4 or you'd be getting a different error message. What I suspect is happening is that the service doesn't know that it's listening on port 91 and so it's returning URLs embedded in your result -- either
the xml:base on an XML body or the metadata link in a JSON body -- which don't reflect the port number. You can easily verify this by using Fiddler to look at the results. If any of them have an URL that's missing the ":91", that's an indication
that you'll need to fix this on the service side.

  • HTTP Connection to R/3 System error- HTTP/1.0 404 Not found

    Hi,
I am using a HTTP connection to XI to extract data from R3 to XI. The HTTP connection I have created in R3 are getting an error - "HTTP/1.0 404 Not found" while testing the connection.
    Porperty maintained in the connection:
    Terget host = <XI server address>
    Service No = 8000
    Path Prefix = /sap/xi/engine/adapter_plain?
The exchange profile in XI (PI 7.0) system is as follows:
    com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.r3.httpport = 8000
HTTP port is set as 8000 in SMICM services.
The same type of connection is working fine in the lower PI and R3 environment but failing on productive  system.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Well... you are trying to configure a HTTP RFC destination in SM59, aren't you?
Dont worry about that. It is just a warning. Click on return or space bar after typing path prefix.
Then save and test the connection.

  • Get-Notification, request failed (404 error)

    Hi,
The following error has started appearing on our Exchange Server 2013 server's MSExchange Management event logs:
Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Get-Notification, parameters {Summary=True}.
Since this started happening, I'm also seeing 404 errors on the EAC. Running the "Get-Notification" command manually gives this message:
The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
     + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Get-Notification], DataSourceOperationException
     + FullyQualifiedErrorId : [Server=SERVER,RequestId=cd2a0bf4-3311-44cd-91bf-5aa2bbac964e,TimeStamp=3/17/2014 6:29: 51 PM] [FailureCategory=Cmdlet-DataSourceOperationException] 375B5976,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.StoreTasks.Get Notification
     + PSComputerName : server.example.com
How does one debug this? Is this an issue with Exchange's virtual directories in IIS?
    Thanks for any help!

All services (including EAS, OWA and ECP) are working normally; the only recurring errors I see in logs are the one I mentioned, and two others that happen when I go to the Compliance Management page in EAC:
Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Get-MailboxSearch, parameters {}.
    Cmdlet failed. Cmdlet Search-AdminAuditLog, parameters {StartDate=3/3/2014 12:00:00 AM, EndDate=3/19/2014 12:00:00 AM, ResultSize=5000, ExternalAccess=False}.
On the EAC, respectively, I get a message saying "The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found." and "The attempt to search the administrator audit log failed. Please try again later.".
Since everything was fine a few days ago, I can't help but think these are related. The only thing that was changed on the server is some IIS authentication settings on another application (unrelated to Exchange).

  • CR 2010 msi (32 bit) runtime fails with error 1904, win 8.1 and many dll's not registered

I searched the KB articles  on 1904 error, but nothing for win 8 and few for vb 2010 msi. windows platform.
I had been using cr 2008 32-bit runtime with no problem. But now I am trying to install an application that was created in vb 2010 and I need the cr 2010 runtime.  I started to install the cr 2010 runtime 32 bit.  This is a 64 bit machine but the application was created for 32 bit and I have been using 32 bit when installing msi on other x64 platforms with no problems..  This was a test machine.  It has installed the visual C++ redistributable x86 and 64 bit , versions 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012.  bit.  The cr 2010 32 bit runtime is the one that fails.
During installation of the CR 2010 msi a message said that the 2008 msi had to be uninstalled which it did automatically.  But later I received the error 1904 message.  There are about 21 dll's that were listed as not registering.
I uninstalled the cr 2008 32 bit runtime and tried again, but that did not help.
I tried running the CR 2010 msi as administrator to no avail.
I tried uninstalling all other crystal -related software and updates to no avail.
I tried disabling windows defender, to no avail.
My OS platform is Windows 8.1

    Hi Suzanne
Something does not sound right; The CRVS MSI should not have required an uninstall of CR 2008 runtime as these are side by side compatible...
Re. Information on CRVS and WIN 8.1, see this KBA:
    2012075 - Installing Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2013 SP 9 - 1904 error - Failed to register a SAP component - HRESULT -2147010895 or HRESULT: 0x80073715
Now, irrespective of the above KBA which discusses MS VC++ dependency, the CRVS MSI contains the C++ runtime so it is quite confusing as to why the issue. Note that the MSM files do not install the C++ dependencies due to MS licensing restrictions.
There is 10 different CRVS MSI files - one for each Service Pack. Which one are you using? Can you provide the link you used to download the MSI?
Is this computer some special OEM edition? Surface Pro?
Have a look at this KBA:
1611044 - How to enable Windows Installer Logging on Crystal Reports MSI files?

You know, I used to think that it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? • Connection to X fails without error messages

    Hi all,
I'm having serious problems with a newly installed arch. I'm setting up a laptop for a friend with pretty much the same configurations as I have myself- except that I didn't have this problem.
I installed X, KDE, made configurations, started KDE customized things, logged out and couldn't log back in. The splash screen won't pass "initializing system services". These are the steps I've taken in order to troubleshoot:
    1) I created a new user in order eliminate setting-issues with one particular user.
    2) I've tried running startx instead of KDE, of course. I get a cursor and then I'm instantly returned to console. This reminds me much of problems with pseudo terminals, especially since kdm starts fine. But..
    3) I've checked that I have /dev/pts mounted
    4) /dev/null has the appropriate permission
The worst thing is that when I'm returned to console, I don't get any error messages. Neither can I spot anything with "cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep EE" or "cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep WW". Dmesg doesn't yield anything either.
I'm really clueless here. Any ideas?
(I use udev, by the way)

OK; this is so crazy, I can only laugh. Nothing like this ever happened me before: Before trying your suggestions, I tried startx one more time, and for some reason it worked. So I decided to restart the computer and see what happens. When system was back up, I couldn't even start kdm. I took a look around and it turned out there was no "X" in my paths. Weird, since echo $PATH clearly showed /usr/X11R6/bin. So, I try to chdir to /usr/X11R6/bin, but I got permission denied, as root! I can't even run "ls /usr/X11R6" without getting permission denied. ls shows the other two dirs there, but not bin. That's just so weird. And I can't reinstall Xorg, cause that requires write permissions to those dirs...
