Http Errors in VPN Logs

Hi,
I am having very strange type of errors for our Webvpn users in the logs below:
11405 03/24/2005 22:45:35.080 SEV=4 HTTP/50 RPT=58 81.158.96.133
HTTP 404 Not Found (/_vti_inf.html)
11406 03/24/2005 22:45:35.160 SEV=4 HTTP/50 RPT=59 81.158.96.133
HTTP 404 Not Found (/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc)
I do not know why its being generated.
Also, our VPN3000 has been rebooted itself without any reason. Since then I can see these logs.
need help urgently please.
Any thoughts will be welcome.

The log messages that you are seeing are not a result of anything the webvpn client is doing. Those specific requests are associated to Microsoft Frontpage and it is quite common for vulnerability scanners to look for this given the number of issues that have existed with Frontpage.

I installed (personal installation) and configured 11.1.2.2. Installation was successful. Configuration only partly successful as most of the errors point to http error and unable log on to workspace. It brings up a java.net error.

HTTP Error 500.0 with CF 9 & IIS 7.5 32 bit enabled web app

I have recently installed CF 9 64 bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 with IIS 7.5. I have just set the 'Enable 32 bit applications' option on the application pool settings to 'true' for one of the sites as I have some web pages that make use of a 32 bit COM DLL. I originally had this option set to 'false' and all of the web pages in my site were being served fine with the exception of the ones making use of the 32 bit COM DLL.
The details on the error message from IIS are as follows:
HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error

Most Likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.

I am not sure if the error is permissions related or not.
1. How do I rectify this error and still keep the 'Enable 32 application' option turned on so I can call a 32 bit COM DLL ?
2. In general, can the 64 bit version of CF 9 even invoke 32 bit COM DLL's on IIS 7.5 or should this only be done with the 32 bit version of CF 9 ?

Difference with CF10 is you can use CFadmin to change postparamlimit setting.

when testing from browser i am getting only layouts of my page.
i am not getting the table rows in my page.

I have an HP LaserJet 4345 MFP with Device Errors in my log, How do I resolve this issues. in ths case some scenarios are working good. proxy to soap, idoc to soap and jdbc to proxy, proxy to jdbc all are working with out error.
but my problem is in Soap to RFC case..
for all RFC communication channels are working but some time it is throwing RFC_COMMUNICATION_ERROR and messages are stucks in smq2 with retry.
when i check with retry error with in sxmb_moni log showing ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED with error code 400.
not for all signals for few signals for some time..
Why it is happening i can't understand.
in repository it is saying Repsitory object hmi failed and address already in use.
is there any problem with loading IR objects.
Please suggest me good suggestion for this type of issue what can do for this to resolve.

- I can use DB ok but not the AppServer. Error when I log into the Enterprise Manager.
* If I start AppServer and then DB:
- I can use AppServer but DB does not start cleanly.

You are going to have to provide more information...
The only time I ever encountered this was when I went to do a service call on someone with a loose connection on the plug right in the back of his iMac. Not every time but often when he wiggled the screen to adjust it he moved the power bar and / or power cable just enough to momentarily break contact.
We plugged everything in securely and the problem never recurred...
If yours is shutting down & restarting because of a power circuit fault there must be a problem with it that should be looked at.

Vista got corrupt after power failure. sfc reports error and Event log service is unable to start itself.

After a sudden power failure, I guess vista file system is corrupt.   I am able to start vista in normal mode, but it seems there are errors like Event Log service unable to start itself, when I start IE, it closes automatically ,
Norton antivirus does not start itself. and so on.
After Bing search, I went to safe mode and executed sfc /scannow and it reported error as below.
"Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Unfortunately I am unable to upload log file, so I am pasting CBS.log content here....   Please advice.
Some parts of logs are removed due to limit of 60000 characters.

Hi All;
l get this error when l have connection with liveoffice in xceısus; (but ı can connect with the same parametres of query as a web)

I get such a error however i couldnt resolve it. Sap Note 1515045 error is all about this but it does not do anything EXCEPT saying uninstall and reinstall it and This is not a solution!!
Is there anyone out there who has exprerienced the same situtation or know how to figure that out?

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden Error Accessing Simplest Example

If I follow the instructions for creating the SIMPLEST example in the "iFS Online Resources" document, everything seems to work until the very last step. When I click on one of my sample objects a new window is launched for the JSP, but it gets an HTTP-403 error in it.

Strangely enough, we're having no problems viewing the XML case files from within the JSW interface, they call the InsuranceForm jsp without any errors - which would indicate that the Java beans are in the right place. Yes?
The problem we're getting is trying to log into the iFS repository via the URL http://<iFS Server>/public/examples/insuranceApp/src/login.jsp
as per the demo instructions, we get HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden. I checked the permissions on the adk.jar file as per Monty Burns posts, and it's world readable. What gives?
We've installed the 1.0.8.3 patch and the 8.1.6.0.1 JDK. NT Server 4, SP6, 8.1.6 database.

HTTP error [403] in "Add Forums Administrator User"-iView (Forum)

Hi All,
I need help with installing the forum functionality.
When I open the "Add Forums Administrator User"-iView I always get the following error message:
<i>403 Forbidden
You are not authorized to view the requested resource.</i>
In the log-file I found the following message:
<i>User tfelp4, IP address
HTTP request processing failed. HTTP error [403] will be returned. The error is [You are not authorized to view the requested resource.No details available].</i>
I must say that my useraccount has Superadmin-Permissions...
The "Forum"-iView works without problems, but there are no forum catagories, cause they must be installed for using.
Hope someone can help me

thanks for your reply. What does it mean <i>"The actuall permissions must be given on the WEBAS"</i>? In my understanding the Userprofiles and the assignment of permissions to a profiles are stored in the UME. In my mind I can do that within the portal environment.

HTTP Error 403 on NT 4.0

Hi,
We have just installed 5.0.1 SP 5 on an NT 4.0 (SP 4) box. We have been
successfully developing and unit testing on 5 different developer
machines for a few months, and are ready to have QA start testing.
We are using EJB's to connect to an Oracle DB (also residing on the same
machine).
I have moved our JAR files and JSP files over to the machine and tested
it from the deployment machine and from my own machine using:
"http://deploy:7001/product/index.jsp" (the "index.jsp" is in the
<wl>/myserver/public_html/product directory)
However, when my colleague -- on the same network -- tries to open the
same page he gets "HTTP Error 403" "You are not authorized to view this
page". I am also getting the same error when I VPN into our network.
The permissions on the directories and files are Full Control for
Everyone.
I suspect it may have to do with internal domain representations, but
I've been stumped and would appreciate it if anyone has some insight.
