HTTP Installation & Port Number Questions?

Hi All,
I am trying to install the HTTP server from the companion cd I only select the HTTP server to be installed, is this correct??
When configuring the DAD file for the apex 3.1, what is the port number that I have to write is it 7777 or 8080?
Regards

Hello,
The default is 7777, but you can verify that by opening the httpd.conf file in your Apache directory.
You'll see a line with Port there.
Also when you run for ex. http://localhost:7777/ do you see Apache? If not it's probably using a different port.
Regards,
Dimitri

  • Acrobat X Standard - Post-Installation Serial Number Question

Is there any way to install Acrobat X Standard in such a way where it will wait to prompt for the serial number when it is launched for the first time, instead of upon installation?
I read an earlier post that indicates you can remove the ISX_SERIALNUMBER instance from the ABCPY.INI file to force it into trial mode, but that does not work for this version.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

Thanks for getting back with me so soon!
We are still purchasing OEM licenses, and I am trying to create standard PC images with Adobe Acrobat X Standard pre-installed.  I just want to be able to bring the image down to a machine and then just pop in the serial number without having to install.
If you know of a way this can be done -or- how to install Standard in a trial state, please share.
    Thanks again.

  • Porting Number Question

    Hello,
I am currently enrolled in a family shared plan with my parents, and I would like to deactivate this add-on line and create my own.
Is it possible to port my number to the new line?  Can I do this online?  I'm planning to shop for the phone online, and not to go to an actual store.
    Thanks,
    Donny.

I believe it is possible as long as you port the number before you get rid of the line your porting from. I would get the phone I want, get the temporary number( whatever number comes with it), when you set up your new account I would say wait a day, then port the number over from your shared line, to your own new line. Because whatever line you are porting from well be in operable once you port it's number to another account. I just did something similar to this. My contract with sprint was about to be over, so all I needed to do was, wait til I got my phone from verizon, after starting my new contract. It came with it's own number, but when the contract was about to be over, instead of losing my number FOREVER, I could just port it to my new verizon phone. Once you create your verizon account you can port the number by going to Manage My Account and then going to Change My Number.

  • Changing port number for mobile server after installation

    hi,
i am using windows 2003 server release 2,oracle 11g database R2 and oracle database lite 10g R3. i have installed mobile server successfully with port 80 but when i start the mobile server i receive an error stating that the port 80 is already in use. Now i need to change the port number of the mobile server. can anyone tell me the solution.

If the Oracle Lite installation type is STANDALONE , then to change the Olite port number to any other available free port number , you have to edit the file default-web-site.xml or http-web-site.xml file present in $OLITE_HOME/mobile_oc4j/j2ee/mobileserver/config directory.
You can change the port any time in http-web-site.xml file and bounce the services, the new port will take effect.

  • ITS HTTP Port Number issue

    Hi,
We are having ECC 6.0. The ITS service (SAP GUI for HTML) is not working. It is re-directing to Port Number : 0.
Please see below the detailed steps to analyze the problem from your end.
    1) Login to ECC
    2) Use TOCDE:   SICF
    3) Give the Service Name as "WEBGUI"
    4) Run - Press F8
    5) U will be Navigated directly to ,  webgui -  SAP GUI for HTML
    6) Select the SAP GUI for HTML, right click, then you will get list of options.
    7) Select "Test Service"
    8) Then it will open a new window and will display the SAP Easy Access. The URL of the new window will display something like,  http://SERVER:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-system-login-basic_auth=X&sap-client=800&sap-language=EN
But in our case the Port Number is showing as 0, instead of as shown in above uRL like 8000 / 8080,etc.. Due to this, we are not getting the SAP Easy Access screen. We are getting something like "Page can't be displayed".
We were able to change the HTTP port number in SMICM TCODE, But we are not sure of the exact Port Number.
Please help us how to findout the actual  ITS HTTP Port Number to resolve the issue. We are not sure what Port number was given in the initial configuration/installation.
    Thanks & Regards||

    Hey Ashok,
you can specify the port number with this parameter.
    Normaly it should be 80<sysnr>
so if your systemnumber is 05 it would be 8005 for the http port.
you can also set the parameter like this PROT=HTTP,PORT=80$$
that will set it automatically to your system number

  • Can not seem to connect to an HTTPS with a port number

    Hello,
I am building an application that needs to connect to an https with a port number...
If the url is 'https://xxx.yyy.zzz' and the port is 5000 what would I use? I have found examples with out a port number but not with a port number...

    Ah... Like GET and SEND?
That is definitely not correct in this situation.
I think what is throwing me is that they specified
the the host as 'https://xxx.yyy.zzz' where really
they want an SSL connection... I think anyways...
    Generally there are two situations.
    1. There are two possible connections/protocols. One is SSL only and the other is https.
    2. They got carried away with the documentation. They added a section describing how SSL works. The protocol within SSL is still http. That is the definition of https though.

  • Service Number/Port Number in HTTP receiver adapter

    Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where I am to do HTTP Post to a 3rd party web application via a url in the following format:
    https://x.y.info/abc/sap/customer.cgi
The HTTP Post data is submitted to the CGI script which is then processed further by the web application. The URL works ok via IE or even PI soap receiver adapter is able to post XML message to the URL but using SOAP.
But I have to do only HTTP Post and now my problem is that the URL dont have a so called port number that I can fill in the "Service Number" field in HTTP receiver channel or in SM59.
Does SAP always need a service number or how to deal with this case where server doesnot expose the port.
    Thanks in advance.
    Br
    Suman

    Hello,
The HTTP Post data is submitted to the CGI script which is then processed further by the web application. The URL works ok via IE or even PI soap receiver adapter is able to post XML message to the URL but using SOAP.
By definition, the SOAP Adapter is also using HTTP POST as its HTTP method the only difference is that there is a SOAP Envelope that is being sent.
But I have to do only HTTP Post and now my problem is that the URL dont have a so called port number that I can fill in the "Service Number" field in HTTP receiver channel or in SM59.
Service number is the port number of the URL that you will be connecting to, if it is not shown, it is assumed that it is 80 for http and 443 for https (as Gzegorz mentioned). Since you are using HTTPs, you should use HTTP Destination that points to an SM59 configuration.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Port Number in HTTP Sender URL

    Hello,
I am trying for a HTTP -> SAP PI 7.11 -> File scenario and now want to develop the URL which will be used by the HTTP client.
I have the format of the URL to be used
I want to ask which is the port that should be used in the URL:
    http://<hostname>:<port>/
In some threads I saw that it should be 80<System_Number> (so if system number = 01 then port number becomes 8001); ABAP port, I assume.
Is this still valid SAP PI 7.11?
If yes can I check where this port is maintained (on SAP PI server)?
    ~Thanks.

    Hi,
7.1 onwards both ports are same
go to SMICM ->goto(services) -> http port will be listed there
By default there is an http serive /sap/xi/adapter_plain provided for the HTTP ..so no need to create any addition objects for using http..

  • How to find out the http port number

    Hi gurus,
Please help me find out what the http port number for the XML DB repository on the database server is. I tried the default 8080 and got an error saying it is no longer valid. I re-installed the database a couple of times and I don't remember that I had to enter a new port number.
    Thanks.

  • Installation on same port number

    Hello,
Suppose we have a host with two or more alias.
Every alias have a different IP address.
We have a Directory Server running on 389 installed on server ( alias A ).
When I try to install a new Directory Server over the same port on the same server ( using alias B ) the installation program says "the port is in use".
Is it possible to install Directory Server over the same port number ( 389 ) on the same server ( alias B ) without problems ?
    Thanks,
    silvio

    Silvio,
    you can do it by:
    - installing first instance, bind it to IP address assigned
to alias A by changing attribute nsslapd-listenhost (by
default this attribute is empty and DS binds to all the IP
    addresses of the machine) and restarting the instance;
    - create the second instance using the same port (389
or whatever you like) , then changing its sslapd-listenhost
attribute to alias B and finally restarting it.
Hope it helps ; for any other info, feel free to contact me at
[email protected] (you probably being Italian like me ...)

  • Change XML DB default HTTP port number from 8080 to ... ?

    Hi !
I need to change the default port number of XML DB from port 8080 to something else, because the development server also hosts a web service, which is configured to listen on port 8080 for debugging reasons. This WS is provided by our partner and we have no control over the ports it uses.
I'm not a network prof. so I'd like to ask what other port number would make sense for XML DB instead of 8080. Can I choose any port number I like, e.g. 8088?
Besides using DBCA is there any other place I need to configure this new port number?
    TIA,
    Stefan

I've done this on occasion using the OEM attach to the database and click XML Database then configuration, you will see it on the right window pane.
