HTTP sender url parameters

Hi all,
Can we configure the HTTP sender URL with multiple interfaces ?
I mean as far as i know the URL can have only one interface name and namespace.
In our landscape we have 4 sender interfaces which gets input from a single URL through HTTP POST
I need to extract the individual Interfaces from the URL and route the messages accordingly
Any help in this is highly appreciated
Thanks
Keerthi

Hi,
I don't this it is very much achievable in PI. What ever you send from from the http url (using interface name and namespace), it comes to IE. So as said by the former reply, you have to receive the message  from the http post, and later you can split it using and send to corresponding receivers.
OR
if you dont want to do that..then create four different scenarios..sender will be the common message and target will bhe the required message (from the four). and accordingly you can configure them in ID. so in ESR there will be four different Operation Mapping and in ID there will be four different configuration.
All solution depends on your business requrement Hope it may help you.

  • HTTP Sender Adapter parameters

    Hi,
I'm doing the HTTP to IDoc Scenario.
Receiving side is SAP ECC through receiver IDoc.
Third party system, they are asking to give the URL, so that they will include that URL in their program & it will post to SAP.
Can anybody guide me on this.. what parameters i've to get from the third party and what preparations i've to do in XI & ECC 6.0, so that i can give proper inputs to them.
And if sender CC is HTTP, any receiving IDoc CC configuration is required? Pls let me know the steps hw to proceed on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Http apply url parameters

    Hi ,
I would like to configure the sender CC for an  HTTP adapter in order to set the user name and password in the Url .
How this can be implemented ? Do i need to set  only sap-user= ... and sap-password= ...
in  apply url parameters ? These parameters should start from '&' ?
    Thanks in Advance

Did you take a look at the sample HTTP client coding. The HTTP client is available in SDN for free download. You dont have to configure Sender HTTP adapter to configure these details. You need to program your HTTP url with the params. Take a look at the sample clieent coding to see how they are passed.

  • Port Number in HTTP Sender URL

    Hello,
I am trying for a HTTP -> SAP PI 7.11 -> File scenario and now want to develop the URL which will be used by the HTTP client.
I have the format of the URL to be used
I want to ask which is the port that should be used in the URL:
    http://<hostname>:<port>/
In some threads I saw that it should be 80<System_Number> (so if system number = 01 then port number becomes 8001); ABAP port, I assume.
Is this still valid SAP PI 7.11?
If yes can I check where this port is maintained (on SAP PI server)?
    ~Thanks.

    Hi,
7.1 onwards both ports are same
go to SMICM ->goto(services) -> http port will be listed there
By default there is an http serive /sap/xi/adapter_plain provided for the HTTP ..so no need to create any addition objects for using http..

  • What is the limit on QueryString / post/ URL parameters?

Is there any limitation on sending url parameters in post method?
    Thanks in advance.

Chandra, I'm afraid that I have no idea what you just said.
URL parameters, as far as I know, are not encrypted even in an HTTPS exchange, because they are considered part of the URL, not part of the message.  The body of the message (i.e. POST), on the other hand, is.protected.
I would suggest that you send the request parameters in JSON format, just as you might do with AJAX.  This is a well-designed and well-understood protocol with good support on both the client and the server side.  (XML is also the same.)  This will put the exchange of information within the (encrypted) message body, and it also will permit you to send and to receive structured information ... structs and lists and arrays and so-on.
You still need to be mindful of message sizes, but not nearly so much as with the URL-string.
Any time that you feel you might be "pushing a limit," it's time to assume that "there must be a better way to do this."

  • Using URL Parameters with HTTP Comms Channel

    Hi,
I need to build a new interface (HTTP - RFC) which will use several URL parameters. I've created a HTTP communications channel and Sender Service and this works. I'm able to define several URL Parameters by checking 'Adapter-Sepcific Message Attributes' and then 'Apply URL Parameters' then specifying the individual parameters.
This is straight forward so far but in usual SAP fashion the documentation on HTTP Comms Channels and URL Parameters is non existent. My question is how do I use these parameters once they are passed. I need to use the values as input parameters for the RFC which means I'll need to map these in the Integration Repository I can't find anything on SDN or SAP help that answers the question.
I know I could include these values in the XML payload but that would mean my 'customer' would need to amend their application and I'd rather keep things as they are.
    Looking forward to your replies.
    Thanks in advance.

May be this could help you to refference . .
For each process template, you can define interactive or composite form reference objects that can optionally be executed at runtime.
To be able to see and execute the reference object at runtime, you must add an appropriate runtime view.
    Prerequisites
You can only attach standalone interactive forms to a process. For more information, see Interactive Form Types.
    Activities
To attach an interactive form to a process:
           1.      Open the gallery and select a process template. To open its design time, choose Open…
           2.      To switch to edit mode, choose  (Edit).
           3.      Open the Forms tab page.
           4.      Choose Add and select the type of reference object you want to add. You can choose between Callable Object and Development Object.
Browse and select the reference object, and choose Add once again.
           5.      Repeat step 4 to add more objects.
           6.      To define parameter mapping, select an entry and choose Map Parameters. Select a parameter from the left-hand table, and then select the parameter you want to map from the right-hand table. This groups the input parameters of the form reference object to the relevant input parameters of the process.
If the process does not define input parameters, you can set default values.
           7.      When you have defined the required mappings, choose Done.
           8.      Whenever a newer version of the form reference object is available, its status on the Forms tab page changes to  (Deprecated). To update the object, select it from the list and choose Update. The status changes to  (Active).
Parameter mapping is preserved unless the parameters of the new object version are different. In this case, you need to define mappings again.
           9.      Finally, choose  (Save).

  • HTTP Sender - how to read URL Parameter USER id into Mapping

    Hi,
My scenario is HTTP - XI - ABAP Proxy.
I wanted to capture USER id of the person who posted(HTTP) into XI(Mapping). How to read/evaluate the value of sap-user from querystring of URL ?
    http://HOST:8008/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=http%3A//abc.com/sales_oa&interface=MI_sales_OA&service=DEV_D&party=&agency=&scheme=&QOS=EO&<b>sap-user=SM9999</b>&sap-password=xxxxx&sap-client=001&sap-language=EN
    please help.

    Mallik,
Try  URL Parameters in HTTP sender communication channel.
In the sender communication channel set Adapter Specific Message Attributes. Click on Apply URL Parameters. In Parameter1 put sap-user (U can query any URL parameter by giving its name as in the HTTP URL).
Now in SXMB_MONI, in inbound payload SOAP Header, under Dynamic configuration u can see the value of the user. Query the same in Mapping using Dynamic Configuration using keyName as UrlParamOne.

  • HTTP to RFC scenario with URL parameters

    Hi All,
I am working on HTTP to RFC scenario using an interface in SAP PI.
The data will be pushed from API link via 4 URL parameters viz. UID, mobno, phone1, phone2.
My query is what will be the UDF code for the same.
Also how to design & configure the same scenario in SAP PI, since I'm working on this scenario for the first time.
on SAP end, what will be more comfortable to have RFC or Proxy?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit S Patil

    Hi All,
In case of RFC to HTTP scenario wherein we have to pass URL parameters as the request instead of XML/xsd(at the receiver end), there is no need of .xsd file to be imported in SAP PI as target end in request message mapping.
Similarly in reverse case(HTTP to RFC scenario), if some data will be pushed from external system through URL parameters instead of XML/xsd(at the sender end), how the design & configuration is done in SAP PI?
Is this reverse scenario possible without any XML/xsd scema at the sender end?
Please suggest me at the earliest?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
I am working on a HTTP to file scenario where POST method is hirring the XI server with authentication parameters.
CAD application is trying to hot our XI server using POST Method and the application does not have ability to send XML payload to XI server directly.
So we are simply receiving parameters in plain text in inbound payload.

But It is throwing parser error.

  • Error using XI HTTP adapter specific message attribute URL parameters

Hi XI gurus, in our XI 7.0 SPS11,
we have problem using URL parameters of plain HTTP receiver adapter.
If I set Adapter specific message Properties in communication channel and activate switch for Apply URL parameters (using Parameter 1 to 5) filling them using message mapping, we have no effect; instead we have error "Dynamic Header - Missing Message Attributes: Fields/Parameters".
    We carried out this test:
    1. not using adapter specific message attribute and setting
a static URL target with fixed parameters it runs correctly.
    2. using adapter specific message attribute for target
URL and URL parameters both doesn't runs correctly.
    3. using adapter specific message attribute only for target
    URL doesn't run correctly.
These attribute key used for URL parameters:
    URLParamOne
    URLParamTwo
    URLParamThree
    URLParamFour
    URLParamFive
    Namespace: http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/HTTP
Can you solve this issue? Are there oss notes, corrections, ...
    Thanks in advance.
    Marco Tricase

Some other test done with TCP gateway.
Activated adapter specific message properties for
    *URL
*HTTP Header fields (one header field named "lisca")
*URL Parameters (one param named "objectType")
The HTTP message catched by TCP Gateway
    POST /csl/cslinker HTTP/1.0
    content-type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
    content-length: 318
    connection: close
    accept: /
user-agent: SAP Web Application Server (1.0;700)
    host: 10.10.43.94:54000
    accept-encoding: gzip
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
seems nothing has been generated, and obviusly URL and params have been set in message mapping.
Hope some guru has been solved the issue ...

  • HTTP reciever adapter pass URL parameters

    Hello all,
I have a question regarding passing parameters as querystring in the url of reiever HTTP adapter. This is an RFC> XI> HTTP scenario and we're posting to an external URL. Here are the details
    URL: xxxx.yyyyy.com
    Service Number: 80
    Path: /api/company_codes
It works fine with these. I want to pass a parameter called "bulk" with value "1".
How should I do it. Should I append it to the Path directly like
    Path: /api/company_codes?bulk=1
or enable Apply URL Parameters under Adapter Specific MJessage Attributes and fill in
    Parameter 1 : bulk=1
    Could somebody clarify this please?
    Thanks

  • URL in HTTP sender adapter

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I want to configure a HTTP sender adapter.
I have a HTTP PUT url of a 3rd party application from where the HTTP adapter should poll and pull the files into PI.
Is this possible? If yes, where and how do I mentioon the URL?
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Pratibha.

    Hi,
That means, the sender aplication has to write a http://<hostname:port>/<path>?<query-string> type query?
    Is there no other option?
Is it not possible with the SOAP sender adapter also?
    Thanks,

  • [HTTP Sender]How to send different XML using static URL

    Hi all,
I have a problem, my legacy system send XML messages to SAP XI by HTTP, I know that I need to use HTTP Sender adapter, the problem is that legacy system support only a static URL. I have more than one interface, how could I fix this problem?
Can I send the XML message to SAP XI without define INTERFACE on URL? How can I handle this?
    Thank in advance,
    Daniel Torres

    Hi Srinivas,
The legacy system is a java application, that send XML messages to SAP XI server using HTTP protocol. So I just ask to legacy system team to change the application to add <b>server</b>, <b>namespace</b> and <b>interface</b> attributes to the URL querystring.
So for each XML message you should especify mesage interface that it belongs to. You do it by especifying on URL as message atribute for exemple:
    HTTP://[SAPXISERVER]:80[SYSTEM ID]/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=[BS SERVICE]&namespace=[MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE]&interface=[MESSAGE INTERFACE]
So if you have for example information belows:
    <b>MESSAGE INTERFACE</b> = MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
    <b>MESSAGE INTERFACE NAMESPACE</b> = urn:teste:mymessageinterface
    <b>SERVICE</b> = MY_LEGACY
    <b>SYSTEM ID</b> = 10
    <b>SAPXISERVER</b> = MYSAPXI
Your url should looks like: http://MYSAPXI:8010/sap/xi/apadter_plain?service=MY_LEGACY&namespace=urn:teste:mymessageinterface &interface=MI_MYMESSAGEINTERFACE_IB
You should have a different message interface for each XML that you send to SAP XI.
