HTTP Service Maintainence for BSP

Hi Friends..
A clarification :
I transported a BSP in production. When I go there to display my BSP in SE80 its gives a message:
There is no SICF node yet for this BSP Application.
Could not generate the node automatically.
Add a node manually using "HTTP Service Maintainence"
Also I am not able to run this BSP and it throws exception.
I want to know whether can we create directly in Production for this BSP or
If I transport this from DEV System will it be automatically created in the Production System after the Transport.
I am quite new to BSP..
Immediate help would be appreciated.
Regards
Deepak

First of all:
Better place for this post is BSP forum.
Coming to your requirement.
For your BSP application the SICF node should get created automatically if you have transported properly.
When you create a new BSP application and attach it to a transport request , the following objects should be there under the transport task.
ICF Service    "as soon as you create the BSP application
Info Object from the MIME Repository   "if you have MIMEs for your application
BSP (Business Server Pages) Application "once the page is created
So in your case just go to dev. environment and add your BSP application to a new transport request and transport.
You can also manually add these things to your transport request from transaction se03->object directory entry.
R3TR     SICF "SICF service
R3TR     SMIM " mime objects
R3TR     WAPA "BSP pages
Hope i am clear.

  • HTTP SERVICE STOPS FOR NO REASON AND NO ERRORS IN LOGS WIN2K

    The HTTP service stops for no reason and we have to stop and restart to unlock and web server runs again. It appears to be related to number of concurrent users but we cannot tie it down to and specfics except on our NT 4.0 system the service never stops and runs fine . We are running versions R1 patch 4 and have gone up to 5 and 7 . We are running against an 9i database and using forms and reports. We are not using the forms server in patch 4 just the HTTP service. This is a big problem and would like an answer if possiable.

  • *** WARNING: Could not start service 80 for protocol HTTP on host MyFQDN

    Hi,
    I m configuring an external Sap webdispatcher to point to an ICF service
    I need to install it on Windows Web server where others web sites are running.
    I configured a specific ip for that on the Web servers and enter the DNS name in our domain.
    On the the pfl file I define :
    SAPLOCALHOSTFULL=<MyFQDN>
    icm/host_name_full =<MyFQDN>
    and specify icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80
    Each time I m starting it I received *** WARNING: Could not start service 80 for protocol HTTP on host <MyFQDN> .........
    If I m using another port (Ex:86)no problem with my FQDN.But if I m doing servername:86 it s working also.
    It s seems that the webdispatcher don t care about my FQDN.
    How can I have the WEBDISPATCHER pointing to this specific FQDN and not all ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Damien,
    You problem is perfectly logical : It's not possible to have 2 programs (IIS and web dispatcher) listening together on the same 80 HTTP port.
    There is no configuration that I know on the web dispatcher to tell him to listen only on one IP address.
    Summary : what you want to do is not possible.
    I had a similar request and I did the following.
    I use a Linux box with an Apache reverse proxy to select to distribute the HTTP requests on different web dispatchers. The rules depends from the called URLs.

  • Attachment display by ITS instead http Service

    Hi,
    we use EBP 4.0 Bid Scenario.
    Our Support package level is:
    SAP_BASIS     620       0036     SAPKB62036
    SAP_ABA        620       0036     SAPKA62036
    BBPCRM          400       0004     SAPKU40004
    PI_BASIS         2003_1_620      0005     SAPKIPYH55
    ST-PI    2005_1_620      0004     SAPKITLQG4
    ST-A/PI 01H_CRM400    0000          -
    ITS, Version 6200.1020.55116.2, Build 800981
    The topic of our request is about download of file ‘Attachment’ in Bid Scenario. As you know in the bidding transactions of EBP bid invitation and vendor quotation (BBP_BID_INV and BBP_QUOT) the user can attach some files during the creation of the document (bid invitation or quotation). During the phase of attachment download the server use the ‘docserver’ configuration and we get a link similar to http://touareg.it.pirelli.com:8045/sap/ebp/docserver/008/pirelli_re.gif?attcget&ClId=4510DA3E6C093A55E10000000AEFF00F
    This is a tipical link that use the document server http service to display the attachment.
    We would like to use the old configuration of ITS attachment display instead the ‘docserver’. In particular the use of docserver force to use different TCP port and address and not the same TCP port and address that the ITS use. We need to use only channel (the same as the ITS use for the users logon) in order to satisfy the security policy.
    This is the link of the user during the ITS connection that use different server and ports (ITS instead WAS):
    http://crmserver.it.pirelli.com:85/scripts/wgate/bbpstart460952c7/~flNlc3Npb249SVRSOmNybXNlcnZlcjowMDAwLjAwMGIuMjNiNGUxNTMuNWM3MyZ+aHR0cF9jb250ZW50X2NoYXJzZXQ9dXRmLTg=
    We find some oss notes as 434218, 588597 or 605323 about this topic but what we need is the opposite behaviour : display the attachment from ITS connection instead http Service.
    Best regards.

    Davide,
    Hi. I had a similar problem.
    You can programatically display the attachments as an ITS service. This is done through a call to function module within a bespoke ITS transaciton.
    The below code was to send the shopping cart print out as a pdf, but the same principle would apply from any attachment. You would just need to read in the attachment as a binary table (Look at the code in docserver to see how to do that)
    Buffer set for
    concatenate
       'attachment; '
       'filename=Cart'
       i_cartid
       '.pdf'
       into lv_mimedisp.
    Download & display this on the ITS server
    call function 'BBP_ALEWEB_DOWNLOAD'
       exporting
         data_len          = l_size
         mime_type         = lc_type
    "    mime_disp         = lv_mimedisp
       tables
         data_tab          = tab_pdf
       exceptions
         its_not_available = 1
         others            = 2.
    if sy-subrc ne 0...
    I found this to be a bit flawed in that you loose the link to the transaction (ITS page), and therefor the user is always logged, even though they have closed the attachment display. In the end I used a call to WAS from ITS (i.e. the docserver), and turned on SSO.
    By turning on SSO you would most likely avoid security issues, but obviously it is dependant on your specific network.
    These issues are avoided with SRM 5.5 where the ITS is internal, and therefor on the WAS

  • No Authorization for BSP

    Hi friends,
    I transported this request(which had ICF Settings, Mime Object and BSP). Now when I go in Test System and then in SE80, I display my BSP and when I execute from SE80, it tries to open following url in IE:
    http://brcbdbd1.amoco.com:8010/sap/bc/bsp/sap/zbsp_filenet/default.htm?sap-client=110&sap-sessioncmd=open
    it does not display and gives me a message -
    "You are not authorized to view this page" It does not even ask for WAS userid and password screen
    Do we need to set up authorization for this BSP ?
    Any ideas on authorization and how do we maintain for BSP's.
    regards
    Deepak

    if you go to transaction <b>SICF</b>, try browsing and find your node <b>ZBSP_FILENET</b>. If you either doubleclick or right click, it gives a dialog box, and asks for username/password. You can set , username and password there.

  • An Aid For BSP Development

    An Aid For BSP Development
    Hi,
    I have developed a small tool as an aid to BSP Development.
    I describe it briefly here.
    You can see screen shots on www.sapprogrammer.com. Click on BSP Find.
    It turns out that the tool is even more useful than I figured as I wrote it.
    It took over a year to write at weekends and in the evenings.
    As it got more and more powerful I saw that it was enabling me to do things I could not otherwise have done.
    I also believe it would be extremely useful to extend it in some ways that seem to offer themselves naturally now.
    So here’s the description:
    Find a String in a BSP
    (A BSP means here : The BSP in SE80 + its models defined in the BSP + its application class.)
    The program runs thru a BSP and its Models and its Application Class and looks for whatever string of characters you require.
    It produces a legible list showing the places you should go to find that string. (See screen shots).
    Advantages:
    This cuts down work time as a developer enormously.
    In addition, if you seek an empty string the program will list the whole BSP. Thus you can print your BSP.
    Extensions:
    I have since extended it to run over a range of BSPs. You can’t run over many because it takes too long but you can run over 2 or 3.
    What I should like to do now:
    The program proves to be so useful I should like to see if it is possible to:
    *     Integrate it to any extent into the ABAP Workbench. It is purposely completely separate at the moment.
    *     Use it to compare BSP Versions. We have just received Service Packs and a large BSP has been changed. It would be good to have a tool to show the differences between our copy of the old version and the new one.
    Would anyone be interested in cooperation on this? Its probably too much work for me alone. In particular the workbench question would presumably require cooperation with SAP itself?
    Kind regards
    David Lawn

    There is no doubt that this is a very excellent tool. We have had this problem many times before. Often we can see in the HTTP trace the error, but have no way to easily find the source in the server. What we currently do is a hack: we download the source, and search on disk. Very clumsy. In this sense, we can clearly see the value in this tool. I can only support David in saying that this is a very useful tool.
    From the side of the SAP, we can unfortunately not help. I will forward you append to the workbench group to again check. But we have to see the reality that our team is already overcommited for Netweaver '05 development.
    Which does not prevent you from just running this program directly from SE38 (or even better, assign it a transaction code). This does not reduce the true value of the tool.
    If there are people interested in building a small group to help David, it will be good, and I see a lot of interest. Important it that you just clear the licensing aspects. I think that using the forum for communication is ok (if you don't use emails).
    regards, brian

  • Create Alias for BSP

    Hello
    I.m trying to create Alias for BSP
    When i try to create an external Alias and to save i get the folowing message:
    Service  /sap/bc/solman/defaultUser   Cannot be accesed!
    Message no. SHTTP009
    Diagnosis
    You have not entered a  handler, and the other services in URL also do not have a handler. This means the service cannot be accessed by HTTP request
    Procedure
    Check whether this is intentional, and if necesary, enter a handler

    Hello,
    I've read the thread and i've done the steps from there. I've enterede in se80 and published WEBGUI and SYSTEM. but when i try to create the alias i still get the same error. "no handler defined". The connection to the sistem with webgui works. I think that i need to publish another service. I need to use the service under: sap/bc/solman/defaultuser.

    RewriteRule ^/(sap\(.*) http://mdcqa5.hardev.com:8000/sap/$1 P,L
    ProxyPass /sap http://mdcqa5.hardev.com:8000/sap
    ProxyPassReverse /sap http://mdcqa5.hardev.com:8000/sap
    BI Rewrite Rule -
    RewriteRule ^/(sap\(.*) http://mdcqa7.hardev.com:8000/sap/$1 P,L
    ProxyPass /sap http://mdcqa7.hardev.com:8000/sap
    ProxyPassReverse /sap http://mdcqa7.hardev.com:8000/sap
    these rules are written under the same Virtual Host, we are using only one virtual host .From our analysis we knew that the reverse proxy read this file from the starting as as soon as it find the pattern at the left side of the rule it simply directs the request to URL right hand side.
    My issue is, since we have created BSP services in SRM and BI...it always directs the request to the matching pattern given in the first occrences.
    In the above example it always directs the call to the SRM bsp..never reaches to BI.
    Can you suggest us any way out..?

  • Service desk for non-sap (please - any inputs are welcome)

    hi all,,
    I know how to setup service desk for SAP use. Can some one provide me some tips on using solution manager - service desk for non-sap as well? eg: the company wants to use service desk for normal activities as well, as laptop not working, server down, other system issues etc.
    The questions I have are -
    1) Any specific structure to be created for the non-sap? The way we use in SAP specific environment is to use "SAP Components" while creating tickets. How can we create tickets for non-sap components? What will be the "responsibility" selection?
    2) How about the Ibase? For SAP, the ibase already have the data from SMSY. How can I get data for non-sap systems? Anything is SAP to keep the Asset management data (like entries of laptops, servers etc)
    Thanks for all the suggestions !!

    Hi
    You need to go for service desk XT which is the extension of service desk to manage non sap or IT incidents
    Check below link
    https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/_solutionmanager
    Heterogeous system environments are a challenge for IT-service management in any company. The associated complex structures and varying forms of media often make it difficult to realize efficient service processes. With SAP Solution Manager Service Desk - Extended Usage (Service Desk XT), SAP offers a centralized support tool as a single point of access - for service requests and problem tickets related to SAP and non-SAP software.
    The Single Point of Access for Support
    SAP Solution Manager, which is a standard part of every SAP solution and therefore can be used by all SAP customers, supports users in SAP relevant service requests. The standard function of the service desk is restricted to service requests.
    With Service Desk XT, SAP provides an extended support tool, which can be also used for general service requests, for example regarding IT or telecommunication equipment.
    This priced add-on does not require additional interfaces to third-party products - the same service requests are used for SAP and non-SAP applications. This simplification is a benefit for your employees.
    This solution has been created with IT service providers in mind, especially those which work within a company and currently do not have an IT-service desk application in place or would like to replace an existing system.

  • How to use the same services-config for the local and remote servers.

    My flex project works fine using the below but when I upload my flash file to the server I doesn't work, all the relative paths and files are the same execpt the remote one is a linux server.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <services-config>
        <services>
            <service id="amfphp-flashremoting-service"
                class="flex.messaging.services.RemotingService"
                messageTypes="flex.messaging.messages.RemotingMessage">
                <destination id="amfphp">
                    <channels>
                        <channel ref="my-amfphp"/>
                    </channels>
                    <properties>
                        <source>*</source>
                    </properties>
                </destination>
            </service>
        </services>
        <channels>
        <channel-definition id="my-amfphp" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
            <endpoint uri="http://localhost/domainn.org/amfphp/gateway.php" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/>
        </channel-definition>
        </channels>
    </services-config>
    I think the problem  is the line
            <endpoint uri="http://localhost/domainn.org/amfphp/gateway.php" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/>
    but I'm not sure how to use the same services-config for the local and remote servers.

    You are confusing "served from a web-server" with "compiled on a web-server". Served from a web-server means you are downloading a file from the web-server, it does not necessarily mean that the files has been generated / compiled on the server.
    The server.name and server.port tokens are replaced at runtime (ie. on the client when the swf has been downloaded and is running) not compile time (ie. while mxmlc / ant / wet-tier compiler is running). You do not need to compile on the server to take advantage of this.
    Hi Paul,
    In Flex, there is feature that lets developer to put all service-config.xml file configuration information into swf file. with
    -services=path/to/services-config.xml
    IF
    services-config.xml
    have tokens in it and user have not specified additional
    -context-root
    and this swf file is not served from web-app-server (like tomcat for example) than it will not work,
    Flash player have no possible way to replace token values of service-config.xml file durring runtime if that service-config.xml file have been baked into swf file during compilation,
    for example during development you can launch your swf file from your browser with file// protocol and still be able to access blazeDS services if
    -services=path/to/services-config.xml
    have been specified durring compilation.
    I dont know any better way to exmplain this, but in summary there is two places that you can tell swf  about service confogiration,
    1) pass -services=path/to/services-config.xml  parameter to compiler this way you tell swf file up front about all that good stuff,
    or 2) you put that file on the webserver( in this case, yes you should have replacement tokens in that file) and they will be repaced at runtime .

  • One Search service application for multiple web applications in a single server

      We are planning to host 17 Web applications in a single Server. Do I need to create search service application for each web application or I need to create one  Search service application , create a Content source for each web
    application and create a Result source for filtering. Which is the best approach. And which approach takes more RAM memory.
       In my application I am using Search web part, "Recently Changed Items", "Popular Items" web parts. when I created only one one  Search Service application for all web applications and using Result sources ,
    I am not getting the results. What could be the problem.

    Hi,
    One SSA is ok, but you should think about access rights. If the access is clear cut between all the web apps you should be ok with one SSA. Multiple result sources limiting on content source also works, but could easily be bypassed.
    Multiple SSA's will eat up RAM/CPU like a mother :)
    As for popular etc.. it could be due to how those sources are set up, but haven't investigated or tested this much.
    Thanks,
    Mikael
