hi Mam,
A simple mistake done in your code i.e in jsp code(product_details.jsp)
you open the bracket for jsp code but not closed thats why error coming
just close the bracket after the condition error will be solved

In a new 9.3.1 installation (BI, Essbase, HFM, Planning) I am unable to run Financial Reports in Workspace. As a test, I have created a simple report, using Studio, which has only boilerplate text - no grids or anything else that requires a DB connection. The report previews fine from the Studio client but when I attempt an HTML preview or when I attempt to run the report from within Workspace, I receive an HTTP Status 500 error in the right panel in Workspace. I have re-registed with HSS repeatedly as well as scrubbed the logs.

Did you try any of the following:
1.) Delete Tomcat cache with the following steps
Stop Tomcat.
Remove the folders from <Tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost> directory.
Start Tomcat. (it will delay a few minutes)
The cache will be recreated automatically.
2.) Redeploy Explorer application with wdeploy tool (Location: <install_dir>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\wdeploy)

All seems to work under debug session but on normal session I found the following message only when I put a specific parameter on my query.

which APEX version do you use?
There are only a few reasons that might lead to the behaviour you describe. These are
- configured header size for Tomcat Connector is too small
- configured character encoding for Tomcat Connector doesn't fit for APEX (you need UTF-8)
- you don't have the required version of OWA_UTIL in your XE if you upgraded to a more recent APEX release (e.g. APEX 4.0)
Have you configured the Tomcat's HTTP Connector to use the appropriate header size and character encoding?

If you've upgraded your XEs APEX, e.g. to 4.0, you also have to update the OWA_UTIL in your XE. APEX versions from 3.0 onwards require at least 10.1.2.0.6, which is the version provided in the installation package. You may just update to that version by changing to the subdirectory owa of your APEX installation package and running
@owainst.sqlas sys (just like in the steps before).
You can check if you have the appropriate version of OWA_UTIL installed by running

What can I do about http status 500 error report?

I have Windows and want to log in to a bank website. I click the Log In button and get this message:
"Http status 500" and that "The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request." and "Path webClient.passmark.login does not start with a "/" character" and "he full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/5.5.23 logs."
I have tried the "secure Connection failed" troubleshooting without luck. What can I do?

2 users can't login - HTTP Status 500 - on Teaming 2.0

I have 2 user that can't login to Teaming 2.0. They get this error: "HTTP Status 500". Even if I enter a bogus password for them the "HTTP Status 500" error occurs. I use LDAP authentication to eDirectory. These users DON'T have duplicate objects in my tree. In eDirectory they have first name, last name, full name, phone number and email address entries. All other users can login. Where are the Apache Tomcat/6.0.18 logs on a SLES 10 install of Teaming 2.0? There are log files in /opt/novell/teaming/

You need to be sure that it is not an LDAP problem... the best way is to start from LDAP to investigate. Enable the LDAP trace on eDir with imonitor, during the teaming login. Also you can use ldapsearch to have full details on the accounts in order to compare them with a working user (a space somewhere, an additional attribute, etc...).

findbykey method failed because it tried to access 0'th element of the array/list with size 0?
maybe acegi filters out elements to be returned so it returns empty collection and some logic knows that there should be elements returned so tries to access first element on array/list but there is nothing since acegi has filtered data out?

The installation of 'SBOP BI Platform Servers 4.0 SP02 Patch 5' didn't affect this problem, it still has the same error.
BusinessObjects XI 3.1 is running without problems on that server.

I could fix this issue without any reinstalling of tomcat. I had the same problem after installtion of Patch 9 of SP2 for BOE 4.0.
Directly after the installation I changed the session-timeout parameter in some web.xml's because it was requested by our customer. Because I wanted to have a good documentation of those changes in the web.xml's I created a bigger comment in these files.
First I got 404 errors after that - to solve this I followed Knowledgebase article [1639813|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1639813] but first it didn't help.
So the before mentioned bigger comments seemed to be a problem (or maybe the special characters in there) because after shortening these comments and restarting SIA and Tomcat the 404 error disappeared and suddenly the above described 500 error occured.
After that I changed the Tomcat's localhost directory to localhost.old during downtime of Tomcat (as recommended by Lukas Kostrab). localhost was newly created but it didn't help either.
So last but not least I redeployed tomcat following article [1639813|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1639813] (wdeploy.bat tomcat6 u2013DAPP=BOE deploy) and started Tomcat and SIA again. I decided to wait a little bit longer with trying to start CMC - maybe 15min - and suddenly it worked.
So in conclusion I would say:
- check any changes you made in any config-files (like e.g. web.xml) and shorten them or remove special characters
- stop SIA and Tomcat
- rename localhost directory (or copy and remove) so it will be recreated at startup of Tomcat
- if that doesn't help check tomcat config according to article [1639813|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1639813] and redeploy tomcat as mentioned in that arcitle and be a little bit patient

as mentioned above @versionMajor is expecting 003 as the input....if it a DataType in XI then check if there is some restriction imposed on the above attribute.....if you are importing some XSD/wsdl then check if it has some restriction.......if the restriction is not needed then try removing it....so that versionMajor will accept all the values

ClassFormatError is Thrown when the Java Virtual Machine attempts to read a class file and determines that the file is malformed or otherwise cannot be interpreted as a class file.
So check whether you have properly configured servlet and whether class file is VALID and is in right place or not.

occurred after installing DS Management Console and IPS Services on BI Enterprise Server

Hi,
If you can't see the login screen of the CMC then it's a problem of webapps and not EIM services.
Try cleaning the Tomcat cache for the BOE webapps and let Tomcat re cache it. Often it does the job.
- Stop Tomcat
- Rename the BOE folder to BOE-OLD in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\work\Catalina\localhost\
- Start Tomcat
When the Tomcat process in task manager is done working (it can take 10-20 min+) then try again.
When you're done, you can delete the BOE-OLD folder.

Flickr Server Error - HTTP Status 500 - how to fix?

Hi,
Just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 11 on a x64 Dell running Win7. When trying to share photos using Flickr (which worked previously), I get the following:
Any idea what I can do to fix this? I've tried resetting accounts in Adobe Partner Services, Clearing Online Service Data, and refreshing the list of services - but makes no difference.

Thanks - I've cleared my browser cache, and tried all the other things available here too, a couple of days ago:

When I tried it, it made no difference. Ironically, just using the Flickr service today 'just works'. Server side, as you say, so maybe something got restarted / fixed?
Given the entire forum web site wasn't accessible yesterday (and that appears to run on Tomcat, too) - perhaps the restart of the one is linked with the restart of the other.
Anyhow - problem solved - thanks for your support!

HTTP status 500 error using OpenSSO, policy agent 3 and glassfish

I have created a simple secure web app following the agentsample app. When I first start up the server that opensso is deployed on, I can log in to the app and everything works fine. Then when I log into again I get a HTTP status 500 error. I have to restart the server to make it work again. Everything about it is very unpredictable - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
