HTTP3068 - Webserver stops responding

We've had a situation recently whereby our Sun Webserver 7 server stops responding to HTTP and HTTPS traffic.
In the two occasions that have occurred recently, no changes had been made to the server's configuration in months.
And as soon as the server is restarted, all is well again.
The only errors we're seeing in the log files are HTTP3068 errors:
[19/Nov/2009:14:18:24] failure (10919): HTTP3068: Error receiving request from xx.xx.xx.xx (Not connected)
This happened twice today - and each instance required a reboot to fix things. Yet, nothing's changed and the server was running fine for weeks beforehand.
It seems like a bug but am wondering whether anybody else has encountered this?
This is Webserver 7 Update 3 on Solaris 10 SPARC.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Can you enable perfdump and see if there are any threads that are in hung state ? Refer [http://blogs.sun.com/basant/entry/sun_java_system_web_server] for more details.

  • Webserver stops respond randonly on Tools 8.5.05 - Details included ...

    Background -
    Appserver (ABC)
    Webserver (XYZ)
Web and App server are on two separate HP-UX Itanium servers (OS level 11.31).
Both servers have Tux10gR3 and WL1031.
    Description -
Webserver randomly stops responding - page hangs. This can happen at a page save, a page refresh/load or when a timeout window is trying to appear. At that time, there is no error log in the webserver PIA_weblogic.log, or domainname.log. While this is happening, I am UNABLE to telnet to that particular webserver port from the appserver.
Eg: FROM the command line of ABC -
    $telnet XYZ 8200
    Trying...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
The issue goes away when the tcp timeout is reached and at that point, login page is displayed for PIA with message - application server is down at this time. A subsequent error log appears in stderr.log and domainlog on webserver
***** JoltSessionPool: Domain //ABC:9200 is Unavailable
    java.lang.Throwable
Just FYI, i am able to do this from XYZ all the time, no problem.
    $telnet ABC 9200
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS -
I have a webserver setup with the same tool set on ABC as well and have not experienced this issue.
    Webserver -
    ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_tw_cleanup_interval
    60000
    ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_time_wait_interval
    60000
    ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_keepalive_detached_interval
    120000
While the webserver is in hung state - on the XYZ server -
    netstat -an|grep 8100
    16.213.0.36.15888 FIN_WAIT_2
    16.213.0.36.15605 FIN_WAIT_2

    16.213.0.36.15888 TIME_WAIT
    16.213.0.36.24501 TIME_WAIT
Finally, I have reinstalled tools, WL, Tux and PIA on the server. Both machines are running the same OS patch level - in other words PLEASE HELP!! :)

This is getting outside my comfort zone, but that's never stopped me before ;-)
The correct config settings are in the .ear file, yes?

  • IPhoto crashes - stops responding - everytime I try to open it!

I have the most recent version of iPhoto (6.0.6) and after a recent upgrade of QuickTime to the latest version my iPhoto won't open anymore. When I try to open it, two dialogue boxes come up. One says "Would you like to open iPhoto when you connect a digital camera to your computer" and the other says "you need to upgrade your thumbnails, would you like to do this now?" and then the program stops responding and I have to force quit with the Activity Monitor. I tried reinstalling the recent updates of both iPhoto and QuickTime and it has made no difference. I don't have the initial iPhoto install disc, so I can't reinstall the entire iPhoto program without buying it again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dylan

    Hey Terence,
I just saw some advice you gave to someone with a similar problem:
    1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
    2. Delete the com.apple.iTunes.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
    4. Post the Crash Log.
And after repairing the Disk Permissions and deleting the .plist files for iPhoto and iTunes, I made a new account and logged in and iPhoto still had the same problem. Here's the crash log:

We are facing one interesting problem ,I am wondering if anyone has
faced that problem . We are using JSP with weblogic5.1 SP5 as the

After letting it run we get into situation where the server stopped

  • Sun java Web server stop responding.

    Hello,
I am using Sun java webserver 7.0 with access manager, messaging, portal 7.1 update 2 on two front end servers with backend servers in cluster mode. OS Solaris sparc 10.
Was working fine, we installed portal on the third front end server. That is working fine.
We observerd that both the old front end servers stopped responding after some time.
We restarted webservers and things got smooth, however again after some time one server stopped responding.
We observerd that access log on "front end server 1" is shows multiple lines with below message, and then stop responding. We are not able to access portal, uwc, amserver.....
However haven't found anything in error log.
<"IP of front end server 1"> - - [date : time ] "GET /amserver/sessionservice HTTP/1.1" 200 45the only change in amserver we did was changing amserver login success url to /portal/dt. Does this makes any difference?
what could be the reason for this error? and resoultion?
    thanks,
    sumant

we were about to conclude that the problem comes only when we access the amserver after that only this error comes.
however we tried to reproduce by accessing amserver and amconsole one by one of every server, however we were not able to reproduce that proble,
One side I am happy that server is working fine and no error again, however I am still woried if it comes again then what? I don;t have any clue of problem and resolution.
please suggest if there any thing which can be a reason for the same.
    regards,
    sumant

  • Powervault 124T stop responding at a precise hour

    Good day to all.
I apologize if my English seems strange but I'm French and not that fluent.
We have a LTO4 powervault 124 T that is behaving strangely : the network stops responding at 3:30 PM GMT and doesn't restart until we power cycle the device. But the backup is working perfectly so there is no issue regarding data backup. The problem is limited to the network.
I tried to change the IP address, toggle between DHCP lease and fixed IP address, no result.
Depending on the time we cycle power, the network stops the same day or the day after, but always at about 3:30 GMT (it can be a few minutes before that time, but it's  the time when I receive the alarm from our monitoring system).
I found that if I telnet to the PV address, I get an response from a 'pinon debug terminal' but I don't know the password.
    So my questions are :
Can someone here direct me to a possible solution to get the network back to a stable state ? I think about upgrading the FW but I'm surprised when I read that the file I can download from Dell website is 320 Mb big.
How to know the telnet password ? Not sure it can help me troubleshooting the problem but I'm curious to see what this terminal can provide.
    Best regards.

    Hi again,
I still suspect a faulty USB port.
Your response is still a bit confusing, so just to be sure:
    - Did you also try a USB port on the backside of your Mac?
(if your keyboard is usually connected to the frontside, and you normally plug the mouse into the keyboard, it doesn't help to try testing it by plugging it directly in the front port, if this port is faulty, it's still the same port. If this is your situation, definitely try a port on the back)
    - When you connected the other (older) mouse and keyboard, they were initially not recognized, but they were after rebooting, so did they function properly after this reboot? Did you connect these on the same port you usually connect your Logitec and keyboard to, or did you try different ports?
    - Do you have access to another mouse and or keyboard, which is 100% sure known to work perfectly on another computer? If yes, try this on your mac.
    - When you tried the mouse and keyboard on the Macbook Air, did you try it long enough to be 100%sure they work fine? Let's say at least 3-5 times longer then the average freezing intervals on your mac? (If you just tested briefly, you can't be sure.)
    - How does it freeze? The pointer just stops moving? or do you see a spinning beachball?
    Another thing:
You are posting in the Power Mac forum
you should actually post this in the Mac Pro forum
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/desktop_computers/mac_pro
although they look similar, the older Power Mac line were equiped with IBM PPC processor(s), and the newer Mac Pro line features Intel CPU's.
You will likely get more help if you post in the right forum, which is more active.
You can refer to this thread though

  • ITunes 10.6.1 x64 regularly stops responding.

    Hello -
My name is Erick and I'm an ACMT/Network Engineer; Apple-certified, but not Apple-employed.
I have experienced an issue with iTunes 10.6 in general that has not been resolved by the latest update to 10.6.1. Upon opening the iTunes application, it initially responds but within 15 seconds freezes and is Not Responding. The unresponsiveness lasts up to five full minutes, then the program begins working again. The issue appears to begin as the iTunes Match cloud icon begins animating and checking for updates to my music library.
The same situation also occurs regularly if/when I make changed to a Smart Playlist. The program stops responding for up to five full minutes, then works properly.
Here's some additional information about what I've already attempted in efforts to fix the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for how I might remedy this issue? While it's not crippling my use of the application entirely, it does cause unexpected headaches and delays, and it'd be great to fix it.
I've attempted to resolve the issue by opening a new library and using it temporarily to test, rebuilding the library by starting fresh and importing from my iTunes Library file, and I've also attempted to use iTunes 10.6.1 from a different user account. Finally, I loaded iTunes 10.6.1 onto my external troubleshooting drive which is running the same OS. I've seen the issue persist in each situation. I've also attempted to run iTunes in 32-bit mode as I experienced some success with this fix related to other issues in the past.
I am using an iMac 27" with the quad i7, 16GB, and a 1TB hard drive. All of my music is on iTunes Match and none of it is being stored locally on this machine. My TV and Movies are being stored on an external 2TB drive, as is the iTunes Library file itself.
I would be happy to provide any logs or additional information that could help resolve this problem. I appreciate any assistance and hope to have this resolved at some point. My iMac is typically on 24/7 as it operates as a streaming server for services like StreamToMe, SugarSync, Plex, and other file services. Additionally, iTunes is typically open 24/7 to provide streaming ability to my Apple TVs (1080p versions), though I do have a scheduled task which exits and re-opens iTunes at 4:30AM to prompt syncing of my iOS devices before I head to work (putting the latest unwatched media on them).
I'm sure some of this is unnecessary or extraneous information, but I wanted to be thorough in my explanation and context. Thanks again for your assistance, everyone.

I have resolved my issue with iTunes' unresponsiveness and wanted to post the solution for anyone who might be experiencing similar symptoms. It was really quite simple to fix, I just didn't see it for what it was:
iTunes Match was causing iTunes to stop responding for several minutes at a time, and several times a day.
iTunes Match - which also forces Genius Mode to be on (something that used to cause my iTunes 10.5 to freeze before I turned it off) - would regularly attempt to refresh my database of 21,000 matched songs (none of which were stored on the computer - just in the cloud) and when it would attempt to update or refresh that library, the program would stop responding.
The constant queueing of iTunes Match / Genius also caused iTunes to consume a significant amount of RAM - something that was also causing issues and which I posted about in another discussion.
So, the simple solution was this: Turn iTunes Match off and iTunes quits freezing.
Now, that of course completely eliminates the usefulness of iTunes Match since the music is no longer accessible on this machine in this iTunes Library. So how to restore its usefulness without recreating the problem? Slightly more aggravating, but still working right: I created a separate, fresh new library and named it iTunes Match. When I need music, I hold option when selecting the iTunes app and select my Match Library, which has NOTHING else in it but iTunes Match. When I'm done with the music, I switch back to my 24/7 media streaming library that has my 2TB of TV Shows & Movies (and device sync relationships) in it.
It doesn't seem like iTunes Match causes freezing and RAM ballooning all by itself, it just seems like in a library that's also full of other stuff, it's the final straw that kills the performance. Split the libraries up and things seem to work really well in both.
Not a perfect solution, but until the next release of iTunes, this may be the best bet. I hope this helps someone else out there, but it at least cleared up my issue. Thanks for reading.

  • HP LaserJet P4015 stopped responding

We have rolled out HP LaserJet P4015 in our entire School District.  We have printer communication issue with this printer.  It just stopped responding. have tried different versions of Driver, we have updated the firmware, too.  Everytime we change the driver it will work and then stopped again.  Is there anybody here experiencing the same problem?

I am having the same problem with my P2015dn.  Looking at the posts indicate a number of models are having this problem.  Mine workvia USB just fine.  I can ping the printer, the router shows the printer, the printer shows ready but won't print and if you delete the printer and try and then go back to add printer - it is not found.  Judging by the recent flourish of posts, I expect the answer will have something to do with the recent Windows Updates but nothing yet on the HP or Microsoft sites - just a lot of frustration and time wasted on the part of their customers!  I hope some one has ideas

Unlikely.  Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone.

"After Effects error: An output module stopped responding. The file may be damaged or corrupted. You may need to restart After Effects."
Similarly, Adobe Media Encoder hangs when outputting to Quicktime codecs. Neither program makes any progress at all before the hang occurs. At that point, I have to manually "end task" to exit. Also, it doesn't seem to matter what I try to export. In AME, for example, I can simply try to convert one video format to another and have it hang, so I don't think the problem is due to a problem with the source settings or effects. Also, I'm not attempting any multiprocessing since I don't really have enough RAM for that. Other output modules work, so I'm just exporting image sequences for the time being.
    System specs:
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Intel i7-2600k processor
    8 GB RAM
    GTX 580 GPU
    Software:
    Adobe CS6
AE Plugins include Tracode Suite 12 and Optical Flares
    Quicktime 7.7.3
Any thoughts on this? I've seen very few references to this error in other places, and not really found a solution that seems to apply to my situation. Thanks in advance for your help.
    Josh

Thanks for setting me in the right direction. Clicking through to the 25 :: 101 error page (http://myleniumerrors.com/2013/01/06/25-101-4/) led me to a reference about other software, such as remote access software, using the same ports that AE needs for communication with its various processes. In my case, LogMeIn was the culprit. I had no idea that AE even used TCP for these types of operations, so that's very helpful to know.
    *EDIT*
That worked temporarily, and now it doesn't work. I ran into a similar effect when I first disabled the Windows Firewall. But of course, as I type this and piddle around, it works again. It SEEMS like if I open AME and click into the output settings and scrub through the video preview, it makes everything work when I go to actually export. That's exactly the type of thing I would say is completely unrelated under normal circumstances, but at the moment all I know is that it is currently working and I don't want to test anything else until I finish the rendering I need to accomplish today. I'll work on it more later and post an update at that time.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Firefox 15.1 stops responding for no apparent reason!

As the title says, Firefox 15.1 stops responding for no apparent reason!
I just did a re-format of my system disk and I re-installed Vista 64-bit on it. I have obviously re-installed everything from Windows updates to chipset, graphics and sound drivers. I also pulled down the latest and greatest version of Firefox which at the time is 15.1. So installed that too.
Every now and then Firefox just stops responding for no apparent reason. It looks like it is processing the request (after clicking a link etc.) but it then it's just a silence... nothing happens!
It doesn't even say it can't load the page and Windows doesn't even say that it has stopped responding. Not even after I click like crazy on the Firefox interface like different buttons and tabs and on the web page... not even then does it say "not responding" in the title bar of the window, which is usually the case when you deal with programs that are not responding immediately (you get that dialog that asks you if you would like to close the program or search for solutions online). Just nothing!... it's only quite and does nothing....
At the same time, all other programs are working flawlessly, such as the Explorer (Windows Explorer), or even Internet Explorer. And Internet connection is not lost!
I have no add-ons or extensions installed whatsoever. I just installed Firefox! I haven't even had the time to install Java yet. All I have is Adobe Flash player. That's the only extra. Otherwise it's in its' original form, default settings, etc, etc, etc.
Why is it acting up like this?...
I'm surprised that there even is such a thing as Firefox 15. This one came at the end of August, correct?
I have been on Firefox 14.x something before I re-installed Vista. For a good reason so! This is why I hate the new update model of Firefox and I don't jump on the next train (version) unless it's safe and I'm having compatibility issues with the one I use at the moment. This is why my first step after installing Firefox always is to disable automatic updates! I hate it when the software vendors are pushing out their latest software versions forcefully.
Frankly, I think this new Firefox version of yours is crap. It's not properly tested and it doesn't belong in the official release channel. This is more like a nightly build or something. It probably has some memory leak, despite the promises made by Firefox engineers that it will not have memory leaks and that it would be the fastest version of Firefox ever. I don't really need a faster browsing, I need a stable browser for reliable browsing. The speed of this Firefox version is close to ZERO! When it's not responding at all...
I have been a fan of Firefox since 0.8. I will be probably ditching this latest version and going back to an older version like 13 or 14 that's more closer to the reality and not in this fantasy world of fastest, greatest, latest, version this, version that, latest features. I just want a browser that works man!... I'm getting tired of Firefox. I may even ditch it altogether in favor of.... I don't know.... Safari?... Chrome?.... I might even go back to Internet Explorer after like 12 years of absence.

please try to uninstall the adobe flash plugin from the windows control panel. afterwards manually delete any leftover files in ''C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash'' and download & install the plugin again (uncheck the option to install the bundled security software): www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer

  • Windows Server 2012 - Hyper-V - iSCSI SAN - All Hyper-V Guests stops responding and extensive disk read/write

We have a problem with one of our deployments of Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V with a 2 node cluster connected to a iSCSI SAN.
    Our setup:
Hosts - Both run Windows Server 2012 Standard and are clustered.
HP ProLiant G7, 24 GB RAM, 2 teamed NIC dedicated to Virtual Machines and Management, 2 teamed NIC dedicated to iSCSI storage. - This is the primary host and normaly all VMs run on this host.
HP ProLiant G5, 20 GB RAM, 1 NIC dedicated to Virtual Machines and Management, 2 teamed NIC dedicated to iSCSI storage. - This is the secondary host that and is intended to be used in case of failure of the primary host.
We have no antivirus on the hosts and the scheduled ShadowCopy (previous version of files) is switched of.
    iSCSI SAN:
    QNAP NAS TS-869 Pro, 8 INTEL SSDSA2CW160G3 160 GB i a RAID 5 with a Host Spare. 2 Teamed NIC.
    Switch:
DLINK DGS-1210-16 - Both the network cards of the Hosts that are dedicated to the Storage and the Storage itself are connected to the same switch and nothing else is connected to this switch.
    Virtual Machines:
    3 Windows Server 2012 Standard - 1 DC, 1 FileServer, 1 Application Server.
1 Windows Server 2008 Standard Exchange Server.
All VMs are using dynamic disks (as recommended by Microsoft).
    Updates
We have applied the most resent updates to the Hosts, WMs and iSCSI SAN about 3 weeks ago with no change in our problem and we continually update the setup.
    Normal operation
Normally this setup works just fine and we see no real difference in speed in startup, file copy and processing speed in LoB applications of this setup compared to a single host with 2 10000 RPM Disks. Normal network speed is 10-200 Mbit, but occasionally
we see speeds up to 400 Mbit/s of combined read/write for instance during file repair
    Our Problem
Our problem is that for some reason all of the VMs stops responding or responds very slowly and you can for instance not send CTRL-ALT-DEL to a VM in the Hyper-V console, or for instance start task manager when already logged in.
Symptoms (i.e. this happens, or does not happen, at the same time)
I we look at resource monitor on the host then we see that there is often an extensive read from a VHDX of one of the VMs (40-60 Mbyte/s) and a combined write speed to many files in \HarddiskVolume5\System Volume Information\{<someguid and no file extension>}.
    See iamge below.
The combined network speed to the iSCSI SAN is about 500-600 Mbit/s.
When this happens it is usually during and after a VSS ShadowCopy backup, but has also happens during hours where no backup should be running (i.e. during daytime when the backup has finished hours ago according to the log files). There is however
not that extensive writes to the backup file that is created on an external hard drive and this does not seem to happen during all backups (we have manually checked a few times, but it is hard to say since this error does not seem leave any traces in event
    viewer).
We cannot find any indication that the VMs themself detect any problem and we see no increase of errors (for example storage related errors) in the eventlog inside the VMs.
The QNAP uses about 50% processing Power on all cores.
We see no dropped packets on the switch.
(I have split the image to save horizontal space).
Unable to recreate the problem / find definitive trigger
We have not succeeded in recreating the problem manually by, for instance, running chkdsk or defrag in VM and Hosts, copy and remove large files to VMs, running CPU and Disk intensive operations inside a VM (for instance scan and repair a database file).
    Questions
Why does all VMs stop responding and why is there such intensive Read/Writes to the iSCSI SAN?
Could it be anything in our setup that cannot handle all the read/write requests? For instance the iSCSI SAN, the hosts, etc?
What can we do about this? Should we use MultiPath IO instead of NIC teaming to the SAN, limit bandwith to the SAN, etc?

    Hi,
    > All VMs are using dynamic disks (as recommended by Microsoft).
If this is a testing environment, it’s okay, but if this a production environment, it’s not recommended. Fixed VHDs are recommended for production instead of dynamically expanding or differencing VHDs.
Hyper-V: Dynamic virtual hard disks are not recommended for virtual machines that run server workloads in a production environment
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee941151(v=WS.10).aspx
    > This is the primary host and normaly all VMs run on this host.
According to your posting, we know that you have Cluster Shared Volumes in the Hyper-V cluster, but why not distribute your VMs into two Hyper-V hosts.
Use Cluster Shared Volumes in a Windows Server 2012 Failover Cluster
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612868.aspx
    > 2 teamed NIC dedicated to iSCSI storage.
Use Microsoft MultiPath IO (MPIO) to manage multiple paths to iSCSI storage. Microsoft does not support teaming on network adapters that are used to connect to iSCSI-based storage devices. (At least it’s not supported until Windows Server 2008 R2. Although
Windows Server 2012 has built-in network teaming feature, I don’t article which declare that Windows Server 2012 network teaming support iSCSI connection)
    Understanding Requirements for Failover Clusters
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771404.aspx
    > I have seen using MPIO suggests using different subnets, is this a requirement for using MPIO
    > or is this just a way to make sure that you do not run out of IP adressess?
What I found is: if it is possible, isolate the iSCSI and data networks that reside on the same switch infrastructure through the use of VLANs and separate subnets. Redundant network paths from the server to the storage system via MPIO will maximize availability
and performance. Of course you can set these two NICs in separate subnets, but I don’t think it is necessary.
    > Why should it be better to not have dedicated wireing for iSCSI and Management?
It is recommended that the iSCSI SAN network be separated (logically or physically) from the data network workloads. This ‘best practice’ network configuration optimizes performance and reliability.
Check that and modify cluster configuration, monitor it and give us feedback for further troubleshooting.

  • Trackpad on MBP randomly stops responding

    Hi
In the last few days I've had a recurring problem:
Randomly and without any obvious context in terms of actions, apps etc, my trackpad simply stops responding.
I have all options enabled on the trackpad, such as soft click+drag, and the problem has so far only occured when performing that: drop'n drag.
It get's stuck and I cant release whatever I've grapped.
I am now only able to use the keyboard and have to reeboot to be able to use the trackpad again.
After reboot the problem returns randomly after a while.
I can't think of any recent software updates or additions that have coincided with the problem, except installing Livedrive Briefcase recently.
The problem however does not specifically occur when working with that (though Livedrive is set to run i the background).
    Any suggestions?
Edit: The problem occurs more and more often, usually after I have closed the lid (sleep). Also, I am able to use my Magic Trackpad, which in turn brings the build in trackpad back to working!
MBP: 15" 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 (dual core) 2010
    System: 10.7.3.
HDD: 240 Gb SSD with 91 Gb of free space

Hope the information from the below linked article helps.
Cleaning the trackpad with a damp microfiber cloth may help.

  • Keyboard/Trackpad stop responding; OS still functional

    Hi
I recently got a new retina Macbook pro 13" on Tuesday (arrived Thursday). Everything has been functional until late on Friday, where the keyboard and trackpad input stopped responding. The operating system in the background continue to work (I was watching a youtube video at the time which kept playing, and a file I was transferring via SFTP gave a notification when complete). While the system is in this unresponsive input state, plugging a usb mouse/keyboard does not work - they otherwise work fine. To resolve, I had to reboot the laptop through via the power button.
There is no messages in the console that suggests anything obvious in the Console, but maybe i'm just missing something.
    Anyone else experienced this?
    OS X 10.9, late 2013 rMBP 13".

Many people are experiening this problem rght now. It is not due to the new MacBook you bought but rather that the new operating system "Mavericks" has some glitches. They should be fixed soon so be looking for an update. Best of Luck!

  • Apple remote and built-in trackpad stop responding

I have a Macbook Pro - late 2011 - and have upgraded to Mountain Lion the day it was released. I bought a brand new Apple remote and paired it with my MBP. Today, as usual, I used an HDMI cable to connect my MBP to a LED TV and started giving a lecture based on a Keynote presentation I created full of videos snippets and the like that I sometimes pause using the remote. All of a sudden the remote - which had been previously paired with my computer - stopped responding. I immediately switched to the arrow keys on the keyboard and finished the lecture. I also noticed that the built-in trackpad had stopped responding to multiple gestures.
Has anyone been experiencing these problems? And is there a solution? I have searched high and low, but to no avail.
    TIA

    Found a solution!!!
    Reset the System Management Controller.
Now eveything is working as expected!
