Https converts to http on YouTube
I've noticed recently that when I type https://www.youtube.com into my address bar and go to the site, upon my first search or video selection the address bar sometimes (but not always) converts into just www.youtube.com with no encryption. It used to be that once I selected https the prefix stayed with the address bar and in encryption mode for my entire YouTube session. Is this a YouTube issue or a Firefox issue? Any insight would be appreciated.

APACHE SSL: Problem in converting from HTTP to HTTPS
Hi,
I have installed apache on my system with openSA flavour with SSL.I need to host my site with https instead of http. While starting apache i get the following error:
[warn] pid file c:/opensa/apache/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?
OpenSA/1.0.4 /Apache/1.3.27 (Win32) PHP/4.2.2 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a DAV/1.0.3 running...
OS is windows vista.
Please revert back for solution to the problem.
Best Regards,
AnjanWhat has this to do with JSP/JSTL?
Apache has it's own website and mailinglist. -
Hi all,
My https request is automatically converted to http.
For authentication purpose I am hitting one external server.
On that time the https is changed to http.
(I enabled ssl properties in server.xml)
Thanks.Did you do a Tools upgrade to 8.52? (I presume so from " then started our PT 8.52 upg")
If you did, you would've re-deployed or re-installed the PIA
After this, did you make the required configuration changes in Webprofile?
Is the 'Virtual Addressing' tab correctly configured in your webprofile? There is a Reverse Proxy Server section which defines which protocol (http or https) to be used etc
Not sure if this is related to the 64 bit oracle client. I don't think so.
Hope this helps. -

I need to login on web authentication on HTTP instead of HTTPS.
If I login on HTTP, I will not receive certificate alerts that prevent the users connections.
I saw how to configure it with 7.x relesae but I have IOS XE Version 03.03.05SE and I don´t know how to configure it.
Web Authentication on HTTP Instead of HTTPS
You can login on web authentication on HTTP instead of HTTPS. If you login on HTTP, you do not receive certificate alerts.
For earlier than WLC Release 7.2 code, you must disable HTTPS management of the WLC and leave HTTP management. However, this only allows the web management of the WLC over HTTP.
For WLC Release 7.2 code, use the config network web-auth secureweb disable command to disable. This only disables HTTPS for the web authentication and not the management. Note that this requires a reboot of the controller !
On WLC Release 7.3 and later code, you can enable/disable HTTPS for WebAuth only via GUI and CLI.
Can anyone tell me how to configure web authentication on HTTP instead of HTTPS with IOS XE?
Thanks in advance.
Regards. The documentation doesn't provide very clear direction, does it?
To download the WLC's default webauth page, browse to the controller's Security > Web Login Page. Make sure the web authentication type is Internal (Default). Hit the Preview button. Then use your browser's File > Save As... menu item to save the HTML into a file. Edit this to your liking and bundle it and any graphics images up into a TAR archive, then upload via the controller's COMMAND page. -

Hello All,
We have scenario proxy->pi->webservice. In older versions of PI system they used wsrm adapter at receiver side and it's working fine.
Receiver interface is asynchronous. So no response structute is present and receiver service is business component(since receiver is a third party).
During migration, we have replaced the receiver adapter with SOAP adapter and used message protocol as SOAP 1.1 but the message is failing and in communication channel it is showing error "Response message contains an errorXIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". In this case the receiver interface is stateless xi 3.0 compatible(re using the old), after changing it to just stateless also issue persists.
In target url field if i prefix the url with "http" then above mentioned error is occurring otherwise if i use the hostname:port/path.. then it is giving error
"soap: Call failed: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Unsupported protocol". So maintaing the url as http://hostname:port/pat.....
As in old channel wsrm channel there is no userid and password, i haven't given any userid/pwd in receiver channel.
used the bean sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean with parameters
Module Key = soap
Parameter Name = noSOAPMakeSysErrFromResponseFault
Parameter Value = false
and
xmbws.No SOAPIgnoreStatus = true
but not successful.
Please help me. I got stcuk here.Hello Jannus,
The connectivity is working fine. Network team has confirmed it. I doubt that any strucutre(header) difference might be present in message when sending with wsrm adapter compared to sending with soap adapter.
Please let me know the exact difference between soap and wsrm functionality in receiving end.
By considering the structure issue, i have checked the "do not use soap envelope" check box, then i got error "Response message contains an errorXIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 415 Unsupported Media Type"
Then i used message transform bean, but not successful.

Firefox can access HTTPS but not HTTP sites
Hi,
All of a sudden last Friday afternoon I could not load any sites external to our corporate network over HTTP in firefox; HTTPS still works fine. Also IE doesn't have any problems.
So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, creating a new profile, disabling IPV6, disabling DNS prefetching and checking my firewall settings. I've also used wireshark to try and see what firefox is doing, but it seems that no traffic at all appears when an HTTP website is accessed, however accessing an HTTPS site does generate traffic.
We use Windows firewall with advanced security; I can't change much though because it is controlled by policy.
We also use McAfee for antivirus and Bluecoat for filtering; again I can't change anything here because they are either policy controlled or administered from elsewhere.
I think I can rule out Bluecoat as other PC's on our site can and still are using Firefox 4 to access the web.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Matthew RoseTwo different sites, one with .info and one with .net. One works perfectly without issue and they each have similar settings in Server, however one only seems to want to work using https prefix. The sites are both different and therefore needs to be accessed with http at this point. The problem is when I go to http://example.info it takes me to http://example.net which is not what needs to be occuring. This occurs internally and externally. Before the move I did my server was doing DNS as well and those settings have not changed or been modified except when I had to change their outside static IPs.

XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
Hi,
We are doing File to WCF Scenario( SOAP ). I am trying to post the Data to WCf usingf SOAP Reciver Adapter.
Getting the Following error.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
Thanks in advance>>> Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
Answer: Use the third party wsdl in SOAP UI or any soap client tool and send the request and see the response. The problem here is the message structure mismatch between your request to the webservice and webservice expecting...
Possible 2 reasons:
1) You are not creating the target message based on the wsdl structure or not configured soap receiver properly.
or
2 ) Your wsdl is not latest or updated one or some changes have happened in the third party webservice hosting side. -

You can use the MessageTransformBean to correct the content type.
Thanks for the suggestion Mark.I am using MessageTransformBean but still the same issue.

XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
I'm getting this message in RWB when trying to send an order:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Weird thing is, other orders have been successfully to the same partner.
Is this something on my side or the receivers side?
What does HTTP 500 Internal Server Error mean and how to fix?
Thanks,
JeffMore info on this problem:
Discovered that the HTTP 500 error only occurs when a "change" file is sent:
I send an order create file to a partner using a SOAP adapter. They receive it successfully.
I make a change to the sales order and send that file. It uses the same Config Scenario, receiver determination, receiver agreement and comm. Channel.
But this file shows an HTTP 500 error in the RWB.
I send it right after the first order create file, so no overloading is happening, etc.
Conenctivity to the url is fine because the create file went through.
I don't know what else it could be. Any other info/log in RWB to look at to help decipher the error? -
Hello.
Currently the Http receiver adapter is configured as HTTP get . We need to change it to HTTP Post and put the parameters in the URL in the body.
Can someone please give an example on how to conevert a http get to http post. Is it a simple thing to do or does it need some java programming?
Thanks for your help.
Best Regards,
TeresaThanks Baskar. I am on SAP PI 7.1 Currently they have a HTTP_DESTINATION that is defined in SM59 and a Prolog. We want to change it to HTTP Post.
Below is how it is configured currently -
addressing type : HTTP Destination
HTTP Destination : UPS_DESTINATION
Content Type : application/x-www-form-urlencoded
XML Code : UTF-8
Prolog : arg1=
Epilog = &action=generateUPSShippingLabel&format=xml
How would I change above to HTTP post ?

STS: Portal HTTPS to BSP HTTP transfer issue
Hi Experts,
We have the following issue.
We use portal with SSL, and we put SSL on out BW backend system. We also use STS, and we created a BSP iView in the portal to use STS inside portal.
The problem occurs when a link to the iView is clicked. What happens is that when the iView is being loaded, all the session cookies are getting blocked for some reason, so that clicking on any link in STS results in timeout error.
My observation is that STS only uses SSL for the login page. So when a request comes through the portal that uses SSL it goes to a BSP iView without an SSL (you get the warning that you are about to display non-secure items).
A workaround solution is to goo to IE properties, security/privacy and click the "Allow all session cookies" checkbox. This a bad solution because it involves telling users to configure their browser. I am wondering if anybody had the same or similar issue, and if there is any other resolution then just explicitly allowing cookies in the browser.
We have another environment setup in QA that does NOT use SSL for either portal or a backend BW, and this problem with cookies does not happen there. I am guessing it has something to do with a switch from HTTPS to an HTTP request when it comes through the portal.
Please let me know if you know how to resolve this.
Thank you,
AGHi Marc,
Thank you very much. The note helped us ensure that all the STS pages are using HTTPS protocol. There is still one issue remaining though.
When STS generates its start URL, for some reason it starts with HTTP, not HTTPS. It is evident when you go to BPS_TC tcode and try to execute option "Test call with display of URL". The URL that gets displayed is for example:
http://test.somedomain.com:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/tunguska/start_sts2.htm?teilplan=ZBUDGET&version=002&sap-client=200&sap-language=E
When pasting this link in the browser, STS automatically redirects you to the https protocol, which is fine if you are using STS BSP application stand alone.
This represents a problem however, if the application is integrated into portal BSP iView. If portal is running under HTTPS, then clicking on the STS iView causes a warning message to be displayed saying that you are about to be redirected to the page that is not secure because for some reason the very first page STS generates uses http protocol disregarding the fact that HTTPS has been setup for STS. This warning message creates a false assumption that the pages are not secured, while in fact right after the warning message is displayed a redirect to https occurs making sure STS pages are protected.
My question is there some sort of global setting where you can control the generation of STS start URL? I made changes for every page making sure Transfer Options set to HTTPS, and also made sure Logon page is using HTTPS in the SICF transaction for tunguska and tunguska_detail services.
At this point we are stuck and do not know what to do to eliminate that warning and how to control the generation of start URL in STS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

HTTPS communication using HTTP receiver adapter URL address as Address Type
Hi All,
If some one who has tried HTTPS communication using HTTP receiver adapter using URL address as Address type can you please guide me what are the steps need to be done.
Note : Address type is a parameter in HTTP adapter setup .
Regards,
ReddyHi,
Check this,
Configurations in Integration Directory
The plain HTTP adapter gives the receiver system the following specifications:
— Specifications for addressing using a URL address:
Target host, service number, and path prefix including query string:
http://<hostname:port>/<path>?<query-string>
You can identify the target host (HTTP port) of a SAP Web Application Server using
the
ICM monitor
Host and port of the HTTP proxy (optional if there is a firewall between the plain
HTTP adapter and the receiver system)
Authentication data for the receiver system.
See also: transaction Display and Maintain RFC Destinations (SM59).
— Specifications for addressing using an HTTP destination:
HTTP destination
— Parameters from the communication channel for technical routing
Content type (the entry text/XML is expected as default)
Specifies the format that the message contents (the payload) should have.
Optional header fields for the receiver-specific protocol
Attributes for the query string
1. Sender party
2. Sender service
3. Receiver Interface
4. Message ID
5. Quality of service
6. Queue ID
All attributes are selected except for the queue ID. If you do not want a value to be
transferred to the receiver, deselect it. The queue ID is only required if the quality of
service is EOIO.
Specifications for payload manipulation
XML code (default UFT-8)
Specifies the character set.
URL escaping
Presents the XML in a URL-enabled format. Special characters that could be
interpreted as control characters are replaced with escape characters (masked).
Prolog
Enhances the payload for particular servers (optional, see below).
Epilog
Enhances the payload for particular servers (optional, see below).
