Https doesn't work

Firefox 3.6.3.
Https is not working (only recently) in a couple of sites including:
https://www.google.com
https://www.microsoft.com
All the certificates provided where unable to verify the owner:
"This web site does not supply ownership information"
"Your connection is partially encrypted"
When i checked the error console, this came up
"www.google.com Potentially vulnerable to CVE-2009-2005"
CVE-2009-2005 has something to do with Man-in-the-Middle.
Please help thanks.
== URL of affected sites ==
https://www.google.com, https://www.microsoft.com

Those error messages are all different:
On Microsoft sites, they serve some content over HTTP (which is a security no-no) so you get that warning. You should contact their webmasters. Often on large pages, sites will only encrypt the sensitive stuff and not encrypt stuff like images to reduce server load. It's technically a bad security practice.
The google.com message is a issue with the way the server handles SSL renegotiation. It's not a big deal but we provide the warning anyway.
There's nothing actually wrong with either security certificate perse.

  • Http tunneling (t3 over http) doesn't work!!  (examples too)

    Hi,
I'm trying to get http tunneling (t3 connection over http protocol) to work. I
ran some examples included with Weblogic that try establishing that connection
(PingTest, HelloApplet, SimpleT3Client), as well as my own test program, and they
all give an error similar to this :
Couldn't get a reference to server. Exception :
    javax.naming.CommunicationException. Root exception is java.net.ConnectException:
    No server found at HTTP://<IP>:<port>

(I replaced the actual Ip and port with <IP> and <port>).
Now, the server is started and working at that ip and port - it services web http
requests correctly, etc. Regular T3 connection (not over http) also works with
    it.
Does anyone know the reason for this problem and/or how to fix it?
    Thanks, Leonid Portnoy

It appears that one has to use the "Java Plugin" for this mode to work. The
question is does the version of plugin need to be "in sync" with the JVM
    version on the server. ?.

It seems that the solution is to have these two lines in the
    properties file:
    weblogic.httpd.enable=true
    weblogic.httpd.tunnelingenabled=true
    Now it works.

  • CSS 11150 - "Keepalive type http" doesn't work.

I've two webservers, A and B, sharing the same webdata on a NetApp filer. A CSS 11150 (5.033) have a content rule, C, with a VIP registred in internet DNS.
I've added A and B to C. When using default "Keep alive type (ICMP)" on services the site is fully functional. When I disable the site on webserver A, clients attached to this server get errors and are not redirected to the B webserver. This is because the CSS doesn't check the for "Keepalive type http".
The CSS thinks that A is online because it is answering for ping. This solution is not good so I tried to change the "Keepalive type" to http. This is better when something is wrong with one of the load-balanced webservers, but when activating "Keepalive type http" the CSS marks A and B down and site is offline.
Is something wrong with my configuration???

By default the CSS will attempt to read http:///index.html
It looks like that may not exist. Try to access the index page yourself from each of the services.

  • Youtube doesn't work on https: in Firefox 20

YouTube stop working via https after I updated from Firefox 19.0.2 to 20.0.1. But via http it works fine. Also embedded YouTube doesn't work on sites that use src=https:// and works on that use src=http:// ones. Everything working fine as I roll back to 19.0.2 and stop working after re-update.
I've tested the Safe Mode — the same effect, doesn't help.
I've tested new profile — everything seems fine, YT works via http and https.
So, if there's no clear solution to my problem, is there any way to dump full 'about:config'-config to diff with default one?

hello reiser, this issue is likely caused by the following configuration you've performed in about:config: ''security.mixed_content.block_active_content: True'' & ''security.mixed_content.block_display_content: True''.

  • Https service doesn't works through CSS

I have 2 CSS 11501, and they work fine.
The only problem that has is that it doesn't work one of the content HTTPS.
This is the configuration that I have:
    service server54
    ip address 172.16.10.46
    keepalive port 443
    keepalive type tcp
    active
    service server55
    ip address 172.16.10.146
    keepalive port 443
    keepalive type tcp
    owner https
    content web
    vip address 10.102.1.28
    add service server54
    port 443
    protocol tcp
    application ssl
    advanced-balance ssl
    add service server55
    active
    group web
    vip address 10.102.1.28
    add service server52
    add service server53
    add service server54
    add service server55
    active
I've left only one of the services active. In the CSS I see the requests but no package comes to the server.
The http service has the same addresses and does not have any problem.
    What can happen?

    Hello,
Did you check that the service is alive? (CSS# show service summary)
Did you check that the CSS is showing service hits for that content rule? (CSS# show summary) when you are doing requests?
If the users are the ones that are opening the connections, please change the group configuration:
    group web
    vip address 10.102.1.28
    add destination service server52
    add destination service server53
    add destination service server54
    add destination service server55
    active
After trying all above, if you keep having the problem, the best way to know what is happening is get simultaneous captures, in the switch(s) where the CSS is directly connected, and you will see the CSS receiving the traffic, and forwarding the traffic to the backend servers.
You will confirm or at least you will see if the CSS is not the problem.
    - Rodrigo.

Does KeepAlive works with MIDP 1.0?
    <br>

may be conn.disconnect(); is closing the underlaying connection.
Also try putting "Connection: keep-alive" header to the request

What does the problem with modules mean? Archlinux was warning me, that "in future releases /etc/modprobe.d/framebuffer_blacklist.conf.save will be ignored, but it is the same file as /etc/modprobe.d/framebuffer_blacklist.conf.
I don't understand, why it cannot find any screens (I use a laptop screen)
I tried to start with and without xorg.conf, which is:
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Intel X4500MHD"
    Driver "intel"
    VendorName "Intel Corporation"
BoardName "Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller"
    BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
    Option "DRI" "true"
    Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
    Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"
    EndSection
The graphic driver I use is xf86-video-intel-newest from archstuff, but it is the same version as xf86-video-intel.
I am not sure if I provided all needed info, but I hope so. Thank you for your help.SOLVED

Use the arch version.   It is actually built against the xorg version that you are using...  here is the relevant section of your log:
    [ 934.354] (EE) module ABI major version (6) doesn't match the server's version (7)

  • Self-assigned or Manually Assigned IP Doesn't Work.

I've got a network of four Macs in my house, using a wireless router from Verizon. This network has been working fine for at least a year. For the last week, though, my MBP can't access the internet or see other computers. My router recognizes the MBP and the MBP shows full bars for the wireless signal, but other than that, nada. This is true whether it's a self-assigned IP or I manually create the IP (using the IP address that the router recognizes as the MBP).
The MBP hasn't left the house. The entire network set up has not changed.
    I have tried:
    - Manually setting the IP - worked briefly last night, but now doesn't work again.
    - Resetting nvram - didn't work at all
    - Power cycling computers and router in all possible permutations
    - I may have tried other things that I'm not thinking of now
Any fixes or info on why this kind of thing happens would be greatly appreciated.

You might try resetting your connection settings using the steps listed in this message:

They're not guaranteed to solve the problem, but they'll only take you a minute or so to try.

  • Com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap doesn't work

    Hi all,
I needed to change the file 'WinGuiRenderLayer.properties'
I found the par under 3 locations:
    d:\usr\sap\SPD\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap
    d:\usr\sap\SPD\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
    d:\usr\sap\SPD\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\temp
I changed the file in those locations (I removed the bak extension and restarted the server).
Also, I made sure that the pars/directory contains the jar files.
After I restarted the server the application integrator iviews doesn't work (Web Dynpro, Transaction...).
Before I did the changes, I backed up the original pars/directory.
Copying the original pars didn't help.
    How can I solve this?

    Thanks,

    Solved it.
    This is what I did:
    1) Took par from my production environment (same SP level)
    2) Clear the par (by using 'Archive Remover')
    3) Clear the pcd cache
    4) Upload the par (redploy)\
    5) Restart the portal
    Thanks,

    Hi Auracles1,
Here's a pretty discussion regarding wireless printing with this device and a Mac.
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-networking-and-wireless/HP-Officejet-6500-E 709n-wireless-issue/m-p/258853
I have a similar OfficeJet and it was a multi-step process. (1) Install printer drivers on the machine, (2) Add the printer queue in print & fax, (3) Run the "setup wizard" from the disc for wireless printing.

  • Swipe doesn't work on my mobile.

    Hi everyone,
My swipe on moblie doesn't work. I checked "enable swipe" and still doesn't work.
I don't know what's the right link for the phone but here's my link and just type it on your phone: EFS2 Soccer Clinic: Media
Maybe I missed something or whatever, Let me know!
    Thanks
    Debs

The new release of Muse didn't seem to fix the problem for me, so I don't think they are addressing it. I was only able to fix the problem by having a developer modify the code to fix the swipe function.Only thing I've seen is this comment from Adobe on July 7th.
"In the most recent major update of Chrome, Google fundamentally changed how Mobile Chrome supports swipe events. Those changes have broken swipe behaviors on Muse generated websites when viewed in Mobile Chrome. We're aware of the issue and working on changes to Muse code generation to address it as part of a future major update of Muse."

  • Print to pdf often doesn't work with multiple pages?

When I try to print to pdf, it often doesn't work right.
I can select, for example, multiple Excel worksheets to print. It looks fine with 4 pages in Preview, but when I select save as .pdf, it only prints 2 of the 4 pages, and it prints those in 2 separate documents rather than a single .pdf document with multiple pages.
Is there a way to do this? Is this an Apple error or Microsoft error? Since it looks fine in Preview, my guess it is an Apple error?
    Mark

It sounds like this is the problem with the way Apple handles multiple orientations in a pdf document. You can use Acrobat to print the files - it handles multiple orientations correctly. There was a previous thread on this:
