HTTPs transport protocol in RNIF

HI Guys,
In a RNIF communication channel, if the transport protocol used is HTTPS but if no digital certificate is used, will the channel's behaviour be same as HTTP 1.1?
I just wanted to know this out of curiosity .
Any document link from SAP to highlight this point will be vert helpful.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Prateek,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually I am using a RNIF sender communication channel with the transport protocol as HTTPs.
The Adapter engine being used is a Decentralized Adapter Engine.
I have not checked any of the following security settings checkbuttons.
Sign Action Message ---> False
Sign Signal Message -
>False
Non-Repudiation of Orgin and Content  -
> False
Non-Repudiation of Receipt Acnowledgment  -
> False
Also, the URL under the tranport paramters has a "https" in it.
The inbound security Checks has a 'HTTPS without Client Authentication'.
Also to be noted is that no digital certificates are deployed.
I have this scenario successfully working when my customer sends a PIP message.
Now my question is, in this case of HTTPs being selected as the transport paramter and when the security settings are not being selected, does it behave in the same manner as HTTP?

  • Changes on Transport Protocol Params under Channels not reflecting

    Hello
For a Trading Partner setup in B2B, we already have a HTTP Transport Protocol channel defined, I changed the URL, User and Password today but still outbound pointing and using the old URL and sending files to the Trading Partner. Do i need to bounce or restart anything to reflect new changes so that system will use new URL?
    Thanks!

Can you try doing save-validate-deploy on your agreement which is using that channel and retry again .
    Thanks,
    Sasmit.

  • What is difference between transport protocol and message protocol

what is difference between transport protocol and message protocol
please give definition and small explanation

    Hi,
Transport protocol gives information about outside of message details, kind of system, security details.
A transport protocol is a network protocol that has the capability of transferring some payload from one node to another, thus providing some level of transparency from the underlying network.
Transport protocols are used as a mechanism to move payloads around a network. Typically, a payload will have a transport binding associated with it. For example, SOAP (acting as a payload) has a predetermined binding for HTTP (a transport protocol).
Some common transport protocols include: HTTP, HTTP-R, SMTP and BEEP.
Message protocol gives you an idea of message type XI payload

    Hi Nandagopal,
I have configured email idc to send the payload as an attachment. & the attachment I am trying is send is a simple text file. So I am stuck here, how can I check against xPath for the mail :(.
I have copied the sample message below which is there in the SMTP server & ready to be fetched by Oracle B2B. This is how message looks like in the exchange server, before it gets consumed by Oracle B2B.

  • AS2  as transport protocol and AS2xml as message protocol

    Dear All
AS2 adapter has been installed in our landscape ,when I am trying to select the transport protocol and message protocol  ,I can only see AS2 as transport protocol and AS2xml as the message protocol instead of the normal HTTP/ HTTPs for the Transport protocol and AS2 as message protocol.COuld anyone tell me if there is a problem. We need to send xml messages over the AS2 adapter and receive MDN's.

    Hi Arjun,
Refer below forum threads which was replied which talks about the configuration which need to be done for AS2 adapter. It will be helpful:

  • Which transport protocol is most efficient in JMS adaptor and why..???

    Hi all,
Which transport protocol is most efficient in JMS adaptor and why..???
Also can anyone tell me how to check queues in the integration server and in the reciever side....???
If any one explain it rather than providing any link...i will be delighted...

<i>Which transport protocol is most efficient in JMS adaptor and why..???</i>
U have to select the JMS provider for the JMS adapter under Transport Protocol.
The selection of JMS provider could be according to ur cost estimation.

  • Second mail service configuration or others transport protocols to send form content

    Hi
we actually use the mail service for several forms. We have now a new requirement, where we need to use a different target for one specific reporting form.
    Questions are:
Is it possible to configure a second mail service (other mailhost)?
Is it possible to integrate others transport protocols to send the content (SOAP/REST Webservice calls, JMS Queue Producer, externe HTTP/POST calls)?
    Do you have another suggestion?
    Thank you
    Best regards
    Stéphane

    Hi Stéphane,
      *  AFAIK not possible with OOB to configure 2 mail servers & need to implement at project level. You might need to create a custom email service. Example  http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-cq/using/creating-custom-cq-email-services.html
      *  One of the option to make external calls is to utilize WorkflowExternalProcess http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/workflow/exec/WorkflowExternalPro cess.html
    Thanks,
    Sham

  • About Transport Protocol File(Axis)

    Hi All,
In my Scenario i am using SOAP Adapter at Receiver Side..
While Creating Communication Channel For Receiver In Transport Protocol we have many options like HTTP,SMTP,File(Axis) etc.
In which case we opt  File(Axis)?

    Hi Deepthi,
You configure the receiver Axis SOAP adapter to send information from the Integration Server or the PCK to remote clients or Web service servers.
    Check the below link :-
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/45/a4f8bbdfdc0d36e10000000a114a6b/content.htm

  • CRM and ESB Integratio - Invoking ESB Process using HTTP transport

We have a CRM application that communicates to another application using HTTP transport ( basically sends XML doc). Now We have requirement that the CRM App need to communicate with ESB Process. Please advise me what adapter should I use in ESB ? Is there any custom adapter ?
    Thanks in adavnce..
    Monica

It depends on the protocol supported on the ESB. If it is SOAP over http you need some client stubs in your application to be able to communicate via SOAP. I'd start with checking Axis or Xfire.

  • 401 Unauthorized:HTTP transport error while calling external WSDL from BPEL

    Hi,
I have simple BPEL process whic calls siebel WSDL file through partner link.
I have successfully compiled and deployed BPEL process, when i initiate the Process, instace got errored out at invoke activity.
    Error Goes like this
    "<remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"><part name="summary"><summary>
exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException:
    java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized</summary>
    </part></remoteFault>"
Can anybody help on this issue, Could you please give me possible solution.
    Thank youl.

we have not provided any authentication credentials to XMLSpy, we have just uploaded siebel WSDL file then sent the SOAP request with some customer Id then we have received proper response with all desired customer data.
In the same way we tried to call same siebel WSDL file from BPEL process throgh partner link. errored instance has created with 401 unauthorised HTTP transport error..
Do you think is this probem at siebel application side?
We have deployed our BPEL process to SOA server which is having HTTP port 7777.
as per my investigation,i found that we have to open port from siebel side (which WSDL file we are calling) which matches with above HTTP port number.
Do you have any idea on this above clue? Please let us know more details on this.

    Hi
Consider that I dont have FTP installed on my computer. According to this blog
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/08/01/along-came-a-file-adapter-mr-ftp-and-rest-of-the-gang
    I have configured.
In sender comm channel I have given Ipaddress of computer 1 (which has a file to be picked)
In Receiver Comm channel I have given IP address of computer 3 (in which file to be posted)
and computer 2 is the XI server
    Computer 1 has FTP installed
    1. XI server should have FTP installed or not ? IF yes is it FTP client  or FTP server   or Guild FTP (according to the blog is enough)
    2. Computer 3 should have FTP installed or not ?
Please help me I am really confused.
    Thanks

  • What is the transport protocol File (Axis) in the SOAP Adapter

    Hi,
for a SOAP Receiver Adapter it's possible to choose 'File (Axis)' as transport protocol.
How does it work and is there some documentation about it?
    Thanks and regards
    Patrick

    Hi,
    thanks for your answers.
    @Prateek
Yes I tried -> Doesn't say so much
    @Vinod
The first thread didn't helped me and I have seen already the second one.
    @kummari
The question is how can I use it?
    @Gabriel
    >The adapter uses transport protocol(File (Axis)) to send SOAP messages as text file
Could you please explain it a little more detailed (maybe with an example)?
My question is about in which scenarios it makes sense to use this transport protocol and how is it used?
    Thanks and regards
    Patrick
