Https webpage not opening unless its trusted in ie8

i am working in a java desktop application(jar).what it basically does is it opens a webpage(https) in a webbrowser in this case ie8. But its unable to open the webpage(https) in internetexplorer unless i add the site in trust site zone of internetexplorer.
I tried it on other browsers firefox and chome there is no problem,no tursting issues, the webpage is opened directly with ease.Why is it so in internetexplorer ? Why i have to trust the site in ie?

There was a patch which was released in August and made compulsory in the October Auto Updates -

It does not allow to open https sites with certificate length less than 1024 bits.
If in case you have the access to upload new certificate, create a certificate with 1024 bits length and upload. You should be able to access the pages.
Other workaround for all OS's (Generally not recommended). It will make the system vulnerable.
Execute the following in command prompt with admin privileges.
certutil -setreg chain\minRSAPubKeyBitLength 512

Everyday its the same thing. By midafternoon, Firefox will not open unless I reboot. I am at work, and have too many things open all day to stop and reboot for a browser, when I also have IE. I prefer Firefox, it is set as my default, and have many passwords saved there that are not saved in IE. Surely there is a fix for this? I have removed it, downloaded it again, followed other suggestions from your site, but still have the same problem. If I leave a window open all day long, it will still work for me, and thats what I try to do. However, invariably, there will come that accidental second that I hit the red X at the top and totally regret it! Please help!

I had tried this before, but went ahead and tried this again.
I clicked on "reset Firefox". Firefox closed, but did not come back up. When I tried to open it again, I did receive a message that said Firefox is running but is not responding, that I couldn't open another window without stopping the processes on the other page.
I never got a window that showed me the information that was imported, or a place to click finish.
Since I don't believe this completed, I don't believe my problem will be solved.

I have downloaded and totally remove itune 3-4 times. It will not open unless the ipod is connected. I keep getting a message that says :the itunes folder can not be found or created. The default folder is located in "my music". what do i have to do to get it to work????????????????

Exactly where are you clicking, you need to be specific. For example, are you using the Dock, the Applications folder, Launchpad, etc. to attempt to start teh app? Also IOS 7.1.2 does not run on a Mac, what version of OS X is installed on your computer?

Pages document will not open unless I buy a newer version

I wrote a document only a few days ago using Pages v. 4.3. Now, when I try to open the document, it says that I need to buy a newer version of Pages if I want to open the document. How do I get access to my document? This is the only item that I have found so far that I can't open with my current version of Pages (the same version that I wrote the document with).

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.

Your question is not very specific, but I am going to assume that you mean that Safari will not open web pages or will not launch. If that is not what you are asking about, please reply with a more clear statement of your issue and I will see what I can do.

Elements 12 will not open unless video driver is updated

I try to open Permier Elements 12 and I get an error message saying my video driver is incompatible and must be updated. I have checked the video card and the driver and Windows 7 says it is up to date.,

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. Adobe might be able to resolve issues quicker typically because they can opt to take remote control of your computer to troubleshoot your issue for you. We cannot off that remote control over computer troubleshooting.
When you get that display error, the resolution is targets
a. Update the driver to the current driver version for the card
and, if necessary,
b. Delete the BadDrivers.txt file. If you have Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active and you do not see the file, then other program failure may be interferring with its generation. The rationale for the BadDrivers.txt file deletion can be found in post 10 of this older thread. This deletion has been a life saver to those using 9 as well as later versions getting the same message that you are getting.

to determine the impact of that on the issue? Did you ever say what computer operating system your Premiere Elements is to be
run on? I have spared you the usual drill questions since your display error was glaring at us. So, I would ask what troubleshooting did you do in
the 7 hours that you said you spent on the program today that was not related to the video card/graphics card?

Firefox will not open unless I run it in compatibility mode (Windows XP SP 3), run it as an administrator, or launch it immediately after a reinstall (the reinstall thing only works once.) How do I fix this?

This morning, Firefox crashed. After this, when I click the Firefox icon, the hourglass appears and then nothing happens. Firefox does briefly appear in the task manager when I do this.
I tried rebooting. I tried reinstalling multiple times. (Firefox will run when I select "Launch Firefox" from the installer. Then the problem occurs again.) I tried safe mode. I have found that Firefox will work if I select Windows XP compatibility mode from the icon properties menu or if I run the program as an administrator. When I do this, Windows asks me if I want a program to be able to make changes to my computer.
I have noticed that a Windows Error Report is being generated each time Firefox will not open.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

DMS Document is not opening in ITS screen

Hi All,
We are on EP 7. 0 SP 17 & ECC 6.0.
Our HODs are approving PO's and PR's through Portal through UWL. But when they are opening a PR or PO with DMS document
attachment, the attachment file is not opeing in ITS screen.

Hi Bharat,
Have you tried to execute the same t-code in the WEBGUI directly? The result is the same? You can check SAP note 1058218 (ITS Up/Down: open document with application directly) too (I don't the SAP_BASIS version from your backend system).
You also need to be sure that the document you are trying to open is in the app server and not in a local PC (via network drive): this will not work.

Photoshop will not open unless as Admin but that causes other problems

Hi all,
There are two problems:
1. If I don't run photoshop as an administrator
2. If I run photoshop as an administrator.
1. If I don't run as administrator, Photoshop will NOT open. I can't even open .psd by double clicking them. Can't open from the installed directory, can't open from shortcuts. It only works if I right click run as admin or set properties to run as admin.
I am the only user for the system, and I have even taken ownership of all files. Yet, it still requires me to run as admin. I am running CS5 with windows 7 64bit.
2. If I run as admin I cannot drag or drop files into PS. As detailed in here - http://forums.adobe.com/message/3640635. I can open files manually through file menu, but dragging and dropping is disabled (shows a circle with a slash when i drag into PS). Their solution in the forum was to remove running as admin. But if I do that, I get problem 1.
Any ideas?

Option 1: Clearly something went wrong when installing Photoshop, or you have changed permissions on your system for some part(s) Photoshop needs to access. Verify, for example, that you have Full Control access to the root of the hard drive you have identified as scratch. A reinstall of Photoshop might correct this.
Option 2: Windows UAC is likely the culprit here. Some folks choose to turn off UAC completely, which means you'll be running everything as Administrator all the time, but that should not be done without FULLY understanding what UAC does for you and what additional measures you'll take to ensure your system doesn't get infected with malware.

Safari will not open unless computer is booted in safe mode.

A few days ago I was using the internet and it randomly closed out. When I try to open Safari back up again, a very long error message popped up. So, I tried to quit Safari and reopen it. When that didn't work, I tried to restart my computer: that also did not work. I even tried letting my computer completely die, but Safari still will not open. The only way I can open Safari is if i first open my computer in safe mode, but when I do that, I have no sound and can not watch any videos on Youtube or Netflix. It shows that they are playing at the bottom, but there is no sound or picture.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

After latest update, Itunes will not open unless I allow itunes to change screen settings on my laptop. How do I stop this?

I have upgraded to the new version of Itunes 11.1 and everytime I try to open it it asks me to allow changes to be made to my computer. If i click yes it changes my screen size to 64bit so I cant see half the page. If i change the settings back to normal it works until shut down itunes and the reverts back to odd settings.
