i have home hub 2.0 phone cannot find it , i have tried every thing that bt help says incuding trying to restart my system still no joy , it all worked fine for the first 2 years maybe it past its best . any ideas out there?

Have you tried replacing the rechargeable battery, they only last a couple of years?

In the transformation, have you connected that rule to any target field of your destination? If not, then do that and then try to create the routine.

Laptop can no longer connect - Hub doesn't seem to see it any more

Hi Please bear with me - this is probably going to be long! I have been tearing my hair out for the last 36 hours trying all sorts of things to get my laptop to connect to the hub, but to no avail. Also, I am no tech expert - everything I know I find out by googling/reading forums like these. It used to connect, no problem.Laptop (an old Dell, running XP Pro) still 'sees' the Skyhub.But it seems the Skyhub no longer sees the laptop (not in list of wireless devices).My Samsung tablet and my son's Chromebook both connect successfully to Skyhub.Laptop connects successfully with nearby unsecured BT-FON networks.Laptop connects successfully with Skyhub via ethernet cable. Things I've tried (not sure i can remember them all, haha):Disabled firewallTurned off encryptionRan windows update to laptop while connected via ethernetPinged what I think is the hub's IP address (192.168.0.1) Nothing. 4 packets sent, 0 received, 4 packets lost.Used cmd prompt to try various suggestions I've read on forums - renewing IP, flushing winsock, etc. Don't understand half of what I did but I typed commands carefully, but didn't solve connection problem.I have tried changing the channel at both the hub end and the laptop end.I have tried entering IP address manually (and subnet mask and gateway and DNS servers). Didn't work so set it all back to 'obtain automatically'.I have pressed button on hub until light flashed 4 times, thereby putting it back to factory settings.A windows diagnostic test shows IP address failure after trying to connect to Skyhub.I have uninstalled/reinstalled/tried updating the wireless network card on my laptop. It says it is working properly.I have opened inSSIDer, and laptop quite clearly sees the Skyhub, and is receiving a strong signal. I'm a bit confused why it says the security is "WPA2-Enterprise". The Skyhub itself says security is WPA2-PSK (AES)Mindst, even with security turned off, laptop still cannot connect. So:Skyhub is still working on wired PC, and wirelessly for tablet and chromebook.Laptop is still working because it can connect okay to neighbouring networks. Hi. I have to say that your problem Louise seems very close to mine. My work laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad T430, reasonably up-to-date) has secure direct access connection capability to my employer's network. However, while the laptop connects easily by wireless connection to my Sky router no internet access from the router outwards. This is a recent (last 1 – 2 months) issue and started as intermittent – the internet connection would come and go without any apparent rhyme or reason. It is now apparently a permanent issue. It is also only a wireless problem - it seems to connect to the internet OK by cable to the router. This is while at the same time other devices connected to the router get internet access fine. There are only about 7 or 8 devices max connecting wirelessly to the router at any given session. My workplace IT Service staff have investigated but washed their hands of the issue as the laptop connects fine both wirelessly and by cable to the workplace corporate network. My Sky router is a Sagem model (no model no. is evident – it’s an older model then the current Hubs) of probably 5 or 6 years vintage (I’m note sure of that). Does anyone have any suggestions? I should also say that at present I can’t access or alter any of the laptop connection settings because the work’s IT Services won’t give me the necessary device admin rights yet equally won’t attempt to resolve it because it’s my home network issue! Don’t let that put you off suggesting connection setup fixes though (I’ll happily put these to workplace IT Services! Specifically though – is there way to restore the router’s firmware to the last time it worked? Mark

Lack of loopback on Home Hub 3 is making me consid...

The lack of loopback on Home Hub 3 is making me considering quitting BT Infinity. Why? Because as a software developer this is a giant paint in the **bleep**!
Every application I develop from home has to use local IP addresses, which means it keeps adding development time to my projects as I cannot use hostnames and have to keep writing go-arounds. It's a giant PITA!
I mean, sure, if you didn't support some wacky new technology that only 1% of people used then that'd be understandable but BT Infinity is FAST internet and people who pay £40 a month for FAST internet usually aren't the clueless old people you think they are!
I don't even like BT I think you lot are a bunch of crooks, but I don't live in a cabled area in my new house so I'm stuck with you. Considering moving to a friends FTTC service even if I do have to pay £20 extra a month.
So BT, pull your finger out of your god **bleep** **bleep**, hire some decent developers and fix your **bleep** because I and thousands of other customers are wound up by this. You're doing nothing to inspire loyalty. Nothing.

Its possible one of the forum members may be able to help you if its a general enquiry.
You do have the alternative of using your own router, there are plenty of cheap cable routers available.
If you only have one PC connected, then you can connect it directly to the modem, by setting up a PPPoE network connection type.

What's a good USB 3.0 hub?

I've got a late 2012 Mac mini. Mavericks OS (10.9.4). I have lots of USB devices, most of them of the 2.0 variety, a couple 3.0. I bought an inexpensive "USB 3.0" hub, and it causes the Mac not to wake from sleep mode. Instead it just powers off, and I have to unplug it from the wall before it will reboot. So I've gone back to my old 2.0 hub for the majority of my gear, but I've got a couple of drives that want 3.0 connections to function efficiently.
From what I can tell, it's the mixing of USB 2.0 and 3.0 that is causing problems. I'm not sure if the ports on the mini are paralleled, or are on separate power and driver chips. But so far, I can keep 3.0 devices plugged into the computer and 2.0 into my hub. That's fine 'til I need to plug in a 3.0 flash drive. I cannot make it work with the two hubs - I still have the same "no wake up" issue, unless nothing is plugged into the 3.0 hub. SO...
Who makes a robust USB 3.0 hub? The Belkin sold at the Apple website has roundly terrible reviews. I'd rather not be a guinea pig again. Does anyone have serious experience with these? It's not enough that you have one and it works. I'd like to know that you understand the workings a bit better than I do, and maybe can even explain to me what might be causing this incompatibility.

I am looking to have all my files in one place as i am hopelessly disorganised. I know the online clouds are a good solution (used Dropbox at work and uni for 3 years) however i am wanting to create my own 'dropbox/icloud' at home. So whenever i get back home with my laptop, any work i have been working on whilst out that day is updated to the timecapsule, and then ultimately as i turn on the other devices, they update to those newer versions of the files. Please tell me that the 3TB time capsule i have can do this, otherwise it feels rather overpriced as a wireless storage device?
Another note (to those in the know) If i am to be working on large files (REVIT/SOLIDWORKS/KEYSHOT/CREO/AUTOCAD) - is the timecapsule connection good enough to support editing and updating these files?
I know i may be asking a question that many have before, but as a bit of a technical novice I wanted a clear-cut answer to my specific circumstances. Your help is greatly appreciated.
(*can i use this WD hard-drive that is connected to the Time Capsule as a back up? so that the time machine back-ups/any back ups are also backed up onto this one? can the WD be a backup for the TC?)

Open Hub: How-to doc "How to Extract data with Open Hub to a Logical File"

Hi all,
We are using open hub to download transaction files from infocubes to application server, and would like to have filename which is dynamic based period and year, i.e. period and year of the transaction data to be downloaded.
I understand we could use logical file for this purpose. However we are not sure how to have the period and year to be dynamically derived in filename.
I have read in sdn a number of posted messages on a similar topic and many have suggested a 'How-to' paper titled "How to Extract data with Open Hub to a Logical Filename". However i could not seem to be able to get document from the link given.
Just wonder if anyone has the correct or latest link to the document, or would appreciate if you could share the document with all in sdn if you have a copy.

After creating open hub press F1 in Application server file name text box from the help window there u Click on Maintain 'Client independent file names and file paths' then u will be taken to the Implementation guide screen > click on Cross client maintanance of file name > create a logical file path by clicking on new entiries > after creating logical file path now go to Logical file name definition there give your Logical file , name , physical file (ur file name followed by month or year what ever is applicable (press f1 for more info)) , data format (ASC) , application area (BW) and logical path (choose from F4 selection which u have created first), now goto Assignment of physical path to logical path > give syntax group >physical path is the path u gave at logical file name definition.
however we have created a logical path file name to identify the file by sys date but ur requirement seems to be of dynamic date of tranaction data...may u can achieve this by creating a variable. U can see the help from F1 that would be of much help to u. All the above steps i have explained will help u create a dynamic logical file.

UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION while executing Open Hub

Hi All,
I have created Open hub destination in BI 7.0 on one custom cube. I am trying to create file on application server using this open hub. I have also created logical filename etc..
When I ran the DTP for this open hub, I am getting following error:
Runtime Errors UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
Except. CX_RSB_WRITE_ERROR
This was running fine on DEV and QA system but giving this error in PRD.
Any clue about this error?

Open Hub not extracting all data in CUBE

We created an FI-SL cube and use the OPEN HUB process to extract the current value of accounts. The problem is that not all the data is being extracted.
I have a couple of examples where some of the data in the CUBE is not being extracted by the OPEN HUB process. I have checked the filter and it is setup properly. I have manually validated the data in the CUBE.
It is very strange that the data is in the CUBE correctly, but just being extracted.
Any ideas?

This is the first time I have seen a comment about the field limitation.

We are using BI 7.0...is that restriction still in place for this version?

Can not delete Twitter mentions from the Hub. When I delete, they reappear in a few minutes.

I had the same problem,so i just deleted Twitter altogethet. Like was said before it must be bug among many they seem to have,including password compromises

I have SAP BW system and SAP HANA System
SAP BW to SAP HANA connecting through a DB Connection (named HANA)
Whenever I created any Open Hub as Destination like DB Table with the help of DB Connection, table will be created at HANA Schema level ( L_F50800_D )
Executed the Open Hub service without checking DELETING Data from table option
Data loaded with 16 Records from BW to HANA same
Second time again executed from BW to HANA now 32 records came ( it is going to append )
Executed the Open Hub service with checking DELETING Data from table option
Now am getting short Dump DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN getting
If checking in SAP BW system tio SAP BW system it is working fine ..
will this option supports through DB Connection or not ?
Please follow the attachemnet along with this discussion and help me to resolve how ?

Here the issue is At OH level ( Definition Level - DESTINATION TAB and FIELD DEFINITION )
in that there is check box i have selected already that is what my issue even though selected also
not performing the deletion from target level .
SAP BW - to SAP HANA via DBC connection
1. first time from BW suppose 16 records - Dtp Executed -loaded up to HANA - 16 same
2. second time again executed from BW - now hana side appaended means 16+16 = 32
3. so that i used to select the check box at OH level like Deleting data from table
4. Now excuted the DTP it throws an Short Dump - DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_KNOWN
Now please tell me how to resolve this ? will this option is applicable for HANA mean to say like , deleting data from table option ...

Unable to access Home Hub 3.0 router

For some reason I am unable to access the router.
I normally type 192.168.1.254 into the address bar but have started getting the 'Internet Explorer cannot access the web page message'. Doesn't work on Chrome or Safari either.
This was working fine up until a couple of weeks ago - any ideas?

Try clearing your browser cache (on all 3) or power the hub down for a minute or two, switch it back on, allow all the lights to go blue and try again.
also fwiw, bthomehub.home should work too

Cannot add hub-managed content type with external list lookup columns to a list -- Error:Id field is not set on the external data field

We are using SP 2010 Content Hub to manage our content types. On the content hub we've created a couple of exteranl lists, and then created some site columns as lookups against these lists. We then added the columns to one of our content types
and set it to publish.
After the publishing job executed, I tried adding the content type (which now appears on the subscriber sites) to one of the document libraries on one of the subscriber sites. When I did that it threw the following error:

I checked the external content type configuration and it did specify an "id column". Anyone know if what I am attempting to do is possible and if so, what special configurations are required?

The issue is not External Content type or external list but the look up column.
It's not possible to publish a look up column via the Content Type Hub.
If you need to do this then an alternate way is to use a Managed Metadata column instead, otherwise you will have to implement this via a feature.

I Have No Voice Mail Notifications In Z10 Hub

I have seen issues with Voice Mail Notifications in various threads, but I didn't see one having No Voice Mail Notifications In the Z10 Hub at all. Sorry if I missed a thread that applies.
From what I was told by Blackberry Technical Support, at the bottom of the BB Hub next to "Calls", "Emergency Alerts" and "PIN", should be "Voice Mail" (or something similar). I have none and therefore do not get any notifications when I receive a Voice Message. I thought this was odd, and figured I had some settings incorrect, but that is not the case. It's just not there.
I am in the USA on Verizon's network with the latest updated OS 10.1.0.2039 that they offered on a STL100-4, Z10.
Anyone else have this issue?

My wife had the same issue on her Z10.
A quick call to customer service at AT&T and they set it up.
Rebooted her phone, and all was well.
I'm sure Verizon customer service can do this for you as well.

Can I connect my new AirPort Extreme to a PC as the hub instead of a MAC?

I bought a new 27" iMac today and an AirPort Extreme. However, my husband and I want to connect the AirPort Extreme to our cable modem and our PC laptop as the "hub," and then wirelessly link my iMac, my iPhone, my iPad, and our Apple TV to it. This is because of where our cable jack is located.
Is this possible? It seems not to be working when hooked to the PC??
Cab nan anyone help me?

Basically it is going to not be possible..
If you want to run the Airport Extreme a long distance from the cable modem.. then either buy an express and plug that in to the cable modem and wireless extend that to the TC..
Or buy a set of EOP adapters and use that in place of ethernet.. which is the one and only "RIGHT" way to do it.
