HUB 4 problems disconnecting why ?????

Hi,
Can anyone help pls ? We have move to a new house and are having BB issues. We have had BT out twice now and they have tested the line and say there is nothing wrong with it !
The problem I'm having is the BB keeps diconnecting the longest it stays up is 10 hours, I have tested the line via the master socket test as well. Today I ran a dsl cable straight to the Master socket from the router and guess what !! It stayed up for 30 mins.
I'm now at a stage where I am fed up with this, not sure what else I can try ???
All phones are in the Master Socket as well, I have teid the devices down via IP address and changed the channels. I have even had a new Hub!
I've tried various network configurations as well  ( I work as an IT Engineer).
Not sure if anyone can suggest anything ?
Its nothing but a pain ATM we have had the service for about 7-8 weeks so the line should have settled down.
I have a few devices that are hard wired too and these also disconnect, there seems to be a problem outside teh house. The exchange is probably 2 miles away if that.
Help
Cheers - nindy

I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works.  Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up.  Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp.  Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp.  Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
    Kep trying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • The WIFI in my iphone 3g was lost a year after disconnection, why?

the WIFI in my iphone 3g was lost a year after disconnection, why?

It probably had moisture inside, and as you used it you caused the moisture to short out critical components.  You can take your iPhone to an Apple Store for diagnostics, but if the moisture indicators are tripped (and they probably are) it would need to be an out of warranty repair, or if you have it, one for the $79 Apple Care+ "incidents".  If you have to pay the full price for an out of warranty repair, that will run you much closer to $269 USD.

  • Open Hub transporting problems

Hi everybody, we have Open Hub transporting problems, it just gives us return code 12 or 8, basically, it doen't want to transport neither Open Hub Destination, nor Transformations, nor DTPs, and bear in mind that we're on the 15th Patch Level. We've looked at all the SAP Notes, but they reffer to the earlier patch levels...
And other problem, is that it's OK in DEV system but in QUALITY system, when you launch a DTP it gives us a dumb with ASSIGN_TYPE_ERROR
    Any ideas??

My destination path on the DEV box is simply the following (identified by BID in the following path):
          D:\usr\sap\BID\DVEBMGS00\work
And when I locate the un-activated open hub on the QA box, the BID is already changed to BIQ, but the server name box/field is empty....
I am going to try with the object changebility option, btw, is there any documentation on how to change these objects that are marked with object changebility on the QA box (provided that we can not manually change anything on the QA box)...
Anyways, I think my problem is with the server name conversion from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa"....!!!
Also, please note the RSBFILE entry for this object in the QA box has the "btcsrvname" as blank...
Do you think there is any additional setting that needs to be done on the QA box to do this translation (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa")?
The only two setup we have done as far as the BI is concerned is at the "Tools-> Conversion of logical system name"....where you only put the conversion for client name mapping from dev to qa and local file system mapping from dev to qa.
So, is there anything else to map the host name (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa") either at BI perspective or Basis/NetWeaver perspective?
    Thanks a lot...

Take it back to the store from which you purchased it and ask. If you bought a new iPad it should not have Demo on the box.

  • Configuring a BT Home Hub to Reduce Disconnections

Hi, I have had disconnections over the last 2 days while I was playing poker. This has caused me a great deal of inconvenience.
I've been in touch with Pokerstars and have sent them log files, and they seem to believe that they have found the issue, and have given me instructions on how to solve it.
Firstly, is it possible for me to implement these instructions into a BT Home Hub 3? Are there instructions anywhere for how to go about doing this?
And also, I have had ongoing internet problems over the last year, which involved dropping connection when the phone rang but even sometimes just randomly, however, these problems have finally been solved, temporarily at least.
I am led to believe that implementing these instructions will not affect the work that BT has done to solve our dropping connection. Is this true? When these Pokerstars cutouts are happening I can still open my browser and the Hub still shows the internet as being on.
    Cheers in advance, Tom.
    Hello Tom,
    Thank you for contacting PokerStars.
The Network Status Report (NSR) you provided verifies this issue stems from a local problem and not from our site. This report runs a ping trace to various websites around the world to test your connection in general.
Please allow us a moment to break down that report and demonstrate. The set of traces listed below are ran to Australia, Cambridge (UK), US West and East coasts, (US) Manx Telecom (IOM), and the Pokerstars.com Website (IOM). With the exception of the PokerStars website, none of the other servers belong to PokerStars nor are they related to your connection to our servers. We use these sites to test your overall connection and path of data communication. We have only included small snippets of each trace and you may review the file you sent to review the entire path.

As you can see the traces fail starting at hop # 1 for all sites traced.
Hop #1 belongs to your router, which means that it may be blocking our software from connecting properly, as sometimes the default firewall that routers have can interfere with our client’s connection. Most routers are fine pieces of equipment, but sometimes they need to be updated and configured for online gaming software.
Please set the trigger (automatic port forwarding) for the following ports: 26002, 443 and 22.
Using a Web browser, bring up your router's configuration page. By default, the URL is 192.168.0.1 (or similar), the user name is "admin", and the password is blank. Once you have accessed the router configuration page follow these instructions as a guideline (exact instructions may vary depending on router model).
    1. Click the Advanced tab
    2. Click the Applications button
    3. Click the Enable button
    4. After Name, enter "PokerStars" or anything you wish to label this setting
    5. After Trigger Port, enter 26002
    6. After Trigger Type, choose TCP
    7. After Public Port, enter 26002
    8. After Public Type, choose TCP
    9. Click "Apply"
    10. Repeat these instructions for ports 443 and 22
Some players have also reduced the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) setting from 1,500 to 1,200 with excellent results. We recommend you to use the value of 1,312 as theoretically speaking it will be compatible with most equipment running on 53 byte packet sizes.
Updating the firmware on the router may also stabilize the connection, but if it does not then you may need to acquire a different model or a different brand of router, or work without a router (running your cable/DSL modem directly to your computer). As a router provides some minimal natural firewall capabilities, we do recommend using a router.
To upgrade your firmware, please contact the router vendor or manufacturer.
We suggest using a wired connection from your computer to your router as wireless connections (WiFi) are generally speaking less stable. If you use a wireless connection, please check to see if your router has a Turbo or G option and turn it off. For example, in the wireless option of your router's configuration page, you may find a field with 'B/M/G Mixed' which can be changed to 'B/M Mixed'. This will disable the G option. Some "Super-G" or "Super-G Turbo" routers have a problem running in Turbo mode. Apparently they use "channel hopping" to bond multiple channels in support of this feature, but it is highly susceptible to interference from other 2.4GHz wireless networks and devices. Turning off the channel hopping feature (or the Super-G/Super-G Turbo mode) of such devices will turn them into a standard 802.11g wireless device and may make them more stable. Please contact your router vendor or router documentation for more assistance with turning off these features of your router.
We hope this information is useful to you, please let us know if you need anything else.

You just need to forward the port.
    Please see Port forwarding problems
Look at the example for VPN, and simply call it something else, and alter the port number to 26002.

  • Home hub 3 keeps disconnecting ethernet device

I have a home hub 3 and a iomega home media network hard drive which is connected via one of the ethernet ports on the home hub. On my old Home hub the device connected fine however on my new home hub 3 it connected at first for a day and then disconnected and will not connect again. I menetioned this to the infinity engineer who surgetested I could have one of the older Hubs or it had faulty ethernet ports. I have tryed chaning the ethernet port, but when I look at the advanced settings of the hub and look at connected devices it reports not connected for the Iomega drive. How do I log a fault call to get a replacement hub, or can I force a firmware update. mine has version V100R001C01B031SP09_L_B.
Please tell me how I can log this online so I do not have to ring India again!
    Yours
    Andrew

Yes, the problem with the Ethernet ports is in this thread.
    http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Speed-Connection-Issues/HomeHub-3-LAN-speeds-only-10Mb/m-p/238589/high...
The long term answer would be to connect your own Ethernet switch to the GigE port, and not to use the other ports.
I am not sure if the HH3 issue will be solved, as I suspect its a hardware design issue.

    Hello,
Recently my girlfriend and her family have been having problems with their BT Home Hub 2.0, it keeps disconnecting randomly and they have to keep changing the channel everytime they want to reconnect back onto the internet.
They are attached to another house which has internet, just wandering if that would be interferring with there signal or anything?
If anyone can help that would be very nice.

  • IMac 2012 OS's not loading while USB-Hub pugged in. Why?

So i have a problem. I have a new iMac 21,5. I plugged in my iMac through my Smart-UPS and It has an USB control. SO i turn to iMac USB-Hub with 3 USB and card reader in it and to this USB-Hub i have connect USB cable going from Smart-UPS.
When i turning on my iMac its stop loading and i see white screen which goes before screen with Apple logo. As soon as i remove USB cable USB-Hub from iMac its going loading good and then i connect USB-Hub again and it works well. Why it can happen?

    ok just did it.
So right now all USB prots on iMac are busy.
    - USB Wacom Wirless connection kit
    - USB-Hub with cardreader
    - UPS directly to iMac
    - Wacom tablet.
Turn on iMac and system starting and loading quick
SO looks like trouble was that i had connect UPS through the USB-Hub? Why it could be? Just early when i have this connection of UPS through USB-Hub i notfied that in task bar(or how it called on iMac where clock, menu at the top) there are icon with power pluged to UPS showinig percentage of battery loaded. And sometime its appear and then disappear and jumping here and there. Now when it connected directly i see this icons always appeared.
So it looks like it lost connection sometime and this USB-Hub only for turning usb flash, some low power stuff and memry sticks only?

  • Kensington Pocket Presenter Remote Works in Hub, not in iBook- Why?

Very peculiar behavior from this device. When I plug it directly into the USB port on my 14" G4 iBook it doesn't work (red light stays on, no response). I discovered quite by accident that it will work just fine if I plug it into a 4-port mini-USB hub. I sometimes, but not always, get the "Can't recognize your Keyboard" dialog box when I plug in the Kensington receiver, but if I just ignore it and close it, everything works. I know it isn't a power problem - it works even when I disconnect the hub's external power supply an use it as a bus-powered hub.
Since it works this way, it is only a minor inconvenience to bring the hub with me when I use it, but I am curious if anyone else has had a similar problem or has any insights into it.

Perhaps I was not clear above. The hub can be externally powered, but the Pocket Presenter works in it whether it is externally powered or not.
In any case, to add to the confusion, about an hour ago I did the classic "One Experiment Too Many". Earlier I had tried restarting the Power Book and repairing the disk permissions to try to solve the problem. It didn't. This time, however, I shut down the computer, plugged the Pocket Presenter receiver into one of the iBook's USB ports, and restarted. It booted up just fine and the Pocket Presenter worked normally. In fact, it now seems to have "healed" itself. I can now plug it into the iBook's USB port directly, even after shutting down and restarting without the receiver in place, without problems. Maybe the restart with the PP receiver in place "reset" the PP receiver somehow? This doesn't seem very plausible, but who knows? Perhaps I'll try burning incense and sacrificing a chicken next time and see if that works, although I have been told that this is effective only on Windows machines.
