Hello Everyone
I have lost my Hub manager desktop quick launch icon
I can still access my hub manager by typing it's url but miss the speed of clicking the icon.
Could someone advise how I can download the icon /

You can always make your own. Go to http://bthomehub.home/ in Internet Explorer. Resize the explorer window so you can see the desktop behind, then drag the little BT logo in the address bar on to your desktop.

Probably you either accidentally clicked on it once to select, then once again to rename, or someone else did. Regardless, it is Windows that manages the naming and renaming of icons, and likely was just a mis click

Are you referring to the Dock?
If so, go to the Apple menu > Dock and select "Turn hiding off".
If you are referring to individual icons on the Dock, right-click or Control-click on the icon, and in the Options submenu in the popup that appears, select "Keep in Dock".

Sounds like a question for a Windows 7 support forum. I don't use Win7, but in WinXP if you right-click a desktop icon and open Properties, there is a button for '''Change Icon'''. As finitarry alluded to, you will need to come up with your own icon file of the correct size. Keep in mind that Nightly updates frequently, actually it updates '''''nightly''''', and you may find that you need to replace that icon every day. ''Speculation on my part, I have never wasted my time replacing a desktop shortcut icon for a program that updated frequently. And if you spent any time searching for how to do that specifically for Firefox, anything you might have found about fiddling Firefox program files or the Firefox Profile folder hasn't worked since the Firefox 3.0 version.''

Call Apple to get the replacement DVD > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 When you have the DVD, insert it and install iPhoto. Finally, open  > Software Update and install the most recent version

Help! Flashing desk top icons and screen de-selection

While in any screen, my desk top icons will flash off for a second or 2 and then back on. At the same time, the screen I am in will be de-selected. Anyone have a cure or experience this?

Hi Wayne, and a warm welcome to the forums!
It's likely some 3rd Party APP that got broken by the recent QT or Security update.
Stuffit AVR has been a big one, if you have that use the Pref Pane to turn it off, but others have been implicated too. Check System Preferences for a Stuffit Pref Pane and disable AVR.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for action in Safe Mode...
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it is some 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Problem with Adobe Photoshop desk top icon

How do I get the Adobe Photoshop eye icon on my desk top. I can only get a file folder on my desk top. the icon is not in my program files to drag on desk top. Do I have to reinstall program from disk?

Create a new desktop shortcut and point it at the Photoshop executable. Depending on which OS you're running and Photoshop version you have installed, the path will be something like one of these:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0\Photoshp.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Photoshop.exe
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe

I have a MacBook Pro and I was watching TV through an HDMI cable when the picture went away but I still heard sound. At the desk top I see the backgroud selected but non of my icons are on the TV screen. Please help.
