Huge Delay in accessing DataBase When Net is down

Hi,
I am using MySQL 4.1.9 as the backend for my Java Application On Linux Fedora Core III.
MySQL and the Java Application, both resides in the same host.
When net (Internet) is Up, there is no delays in accessing MySQL Databases.
And its too slow when net is Down. Why ?

My best guess would be because you are establishing an rman session from your main script but it is aborting due to the error of not being able to connect to your catalog. Hence nothing happens after that.
When you run it command line seperate, it is establishing an rman session successfuly...
rman - blank session open
connect target - successful connection established
connect catalog - fails but still connected to target db from previous command
Try running rman target / catalog xe_linux/xe@gcrepo in one command line and see if it establishes an rman session or not...
Alternatively you can try putting your rman commands into your main script and run from there...
I am guessing you will still get a valid rman session connected to the target db but using the target db's controlfile.
Let me know what happens.
Actually tried connecting to a catalog db that doesn't exist and got:

The generated autonumber can be retrieved with a SELECT @@IDENTITY which is the same syntax as in SQLServer. When this statement is executed it is effectively asking for the last 'identity' value seen on the current connection which will be the ID of the row you just created with your INSERT statement.

I had made the connection thru JDBC and was able to access data from MS Access database when i had written java application program. But when i created one applet and created instance of that class which was making connection to the database thru JDBC and called one method which was returning one value from the database , i was not able to get on the applet(in the text field) . It gave me some security exception saying acces is not allowed.

Not getting the records from Access database

Hi All,
Iam creating a universe based on Access database. I am able to view the data from all the tables except one table. When i try to view the data there is one error message "Syntax error in from clause, State: 37000". Everything is ok at database side. What does this error means?

Thanks for your reply. I have resolved my issue. Actually my issue was, I have a table "Date" in universe which was created in Access database, when i tried to view the Date Table values in Universe i was getting that Syntax error in From clause message. I came to know that Date is a keyword or predefined table in WebI & it wont accept that word as a user defined Table. So i renamed that table in Access and Universe. Now my issue was solved.

Amp Simulator causing huge delay

So Ive had my mac since Aug 2006. Its worked perfect, all the features worked fine on my simple 1GB of ram. I bought the New iLife 08 a few months ago and it worked fine and I enjoyed the new features. However as of a few weeks ago my computer is acting like it weird, it seems it cannot use the Amp simulator anymore. Why? it causes a HUGE delay in playing. When playing, it will start like it usually does but the delay keeps going and going until I am play a note and dont hear anything till 5-10 seconds later.
How could this happen? I dont know. It worked fine, nothing new was installed nothing new was added... It just suddenly decided it wanted to stop using the amp simulator. I even upgraded to 2GB of ram and I still! am having the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Link dropdown choice to multiple text fields from access database

Is there anyway to link the choice of a dropdown field so it populates other text fields?
Example:
I have created a Data Connection from a MS Access Database for a drop down list which is CompanyName. When I choose the company name I would like it to populate First Name, Last Name, Email, Adress, etc. Does this require a significant amount of code to do...and if so does anyone have a good book suggestion to learn the code for something like this?
Any help in solving this problem is greatly appreciate. I have searched everywhere and found no conclusive answer. Or maybe I am just searching in the wrong place? Thanks for your help.

You will have to make another data connection and create a SQL call to the DB that will incorporate the selection made in the DDList. This will involve code. There is a sample wriiten by Stefan Cameron at this location:

1) Make a connection to Oracle to see if database is up.
2) If not then start the database.
I would be better checking why Oracle database is going down too frequent rather doing auto start.

i have done a system copy from production server into quality server. quality was scrapped and freshly installed with SAP then used the DB flush method to carry out the system copy. i had to change the DBS_ORA_SCHEMA in environment variables to SAP<SOURCE SID> from SAPSR3. the sap version is ECC6.0,DB is ORACLE10.2 on WIN NT.

This is ERP 6.0 with EHP4 with MS SQL in back ground and I was applying the BASIS SP 04. It was in the TEST scenario and in the SPDD_SPAU_CHECK phase it threw the error.

this error is very often seen in case of a database corruptions. Please follow note 142731 and perform a complete database check. Send the results when they show errors.

Error when accessing Access database in ASP?

for some reason when I try to open my Access database it constantly and consistenly gives me an error message that claim the table or the query is not valid or the table cannot be found. Both the database and the table exist and are accessible with the files and all directories having a rwxr--r-- protection and the code below is extraordinarily simple. Can anybody tell me what's going on? I'm sure it's just a simple mistake, but it's driving me nuts!

we send around 80 IDoc simultaneously, there 15 are stuck.
They all have SYSFAIL in SMQ2 with message: SQL error in the database when accessing a table
I already unlocked the queues and try to resend. Nothing happend!
I ran RSQIWKEX for the single queus but now there are new queues in Status SYSFAIL.
I already checked some entries in forum and blogs, but nothing worked out yet!

Hi, well as mentioned i searched and found this already.
But in ST22 i got error concerning
Laufzeitfehler DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
Ausnahme CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
So i guess it's something more serious.
Any more ideas?!
Can i simply delete the stucked queues and reporcess them?!

I receive "Database access denied" when trying to add component 4543BD

I receive "Database access denied" when trying to add component 4543BD to my schematic. This component was added from a previous version. I'm using Multisim version 12.0.0 Student edition.

Hi Diarra,
I checked my database and the 4543 is not in the Student Edition. If you opened a schematic that was created in a higher version such as the Educaiton Edition and copied the part to your database, when you place this part you will get the access denied message.
Attached is a schematic with the part, you can open it and build you circuit around it.
