Huge email attachement hurting system

Can anyone tell me if its safe to delete emails in the domain\mslocal\gwinprog\4 folder?
We are in the middle of a 300 recipient email at 46MB of pictures...that was sent 3 times because the user didnt think it went the first time. We are also in the middle of a email migration, so email that hits GW is forwarded to our new system, which compounds the issue further.
At this point Im not sure if GW is receiving email, but our new system is still receiving the forwards 5 hours after the original was sent.
Am I right in thinking the gwinprog folder is emails in progress of delivering? I have watched this folder for hours and it will have 9-12 emails at one time that continually grow to the 46MB size, then eventually get delivered Im guessing. I would like to just whack them as they come in to this folder to mitigate the damage. Is this safe? If I do this, do I have to run any kind of cleanup....I could see how GW might go crazy if I start doing this. Should I just wait it out?
Our Novell guru left months ago...I have a little knowledge, but not a lot so any ideas or help is appreciated.

It's safe and requires no "cleanup" be run - at this point in the delivery
mechanism, files are just being copied about from spot to spot. Of course, if
you're sure it's the right message (and you probably are due to size), because
at this point you also can't see any contents - it's all encrypted.

Ths is regarding email to file scenario. I am trying to create file (in rceiver file adapter) with the same name as the email attachment that i read from mail sender adapter. I want ro use adapter module for this. I could find from blogs that there is module - GetAttachmentName - available that i can use for this in sender mail adapter.
Can you please let me know what whetehr i neeed to mention any module key and parameters for this.
I assume , i need to do following steps :Please confirm.
1. i can use this module - after payload swap module and before standard mail adapter module in sender mail adapter
2. select ASMA option in advanced tab in sender mail adapter
3. In receiver file adapter select ASMA option in advanced tab in sender mail adapter
4. Also select file name option in ASMA in sender mail adapter

If you use the Module getAttachmentName, which is described here,

your scenario should work as you described it.
You just need to make sure that the Attachment Name that you read in the first place, is mapped to the Filename Attribute of the
Fileadapter (http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File/FileName).

Not really the best way to go. You'll waste a lot of time and it may not work for your receiver. Most email hosts have file size limits that make emailing video files a problem. Better choice is upload you video to YouTube or some other file sharing site then email a link.

CSV email attachment and spaces

Hello everyone,
I have been working on making an email attachment in CSV for a client. I have created the file dynamically in a string table. Though, because it is done dynamically, my string table has sometimes, as a fictive example, something like this
First line has 63 characters,
Second line has 225 characters
Third line has 182 characters, etc
Often, a group of three lines has to be put on one line in the CSV and I added a control return character that works just fine so my problem is not there.
My problem is the fact that I have lot of blanks in my files when I wouldn't want it to be... Taking the same example:
First line has 192 blanks,
Second line has 30 blanks
Third line has 73 blanks, etc.
In fact, I have always 255 - X characters = Y Blanks. I understand a string is 255 characters so it's not a question for me to know why 255.
My question though is this: Is there a way to prevent those blanks to be put in the CSV file? Because I have huge gaps and I know it would mess up the data inserted in it.
As a complement of informations, I use Module Function 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to create the email with attachment and my CSV is not open by Excel (who places the field correctly) but via notepad to show the data to its raw values. All those gaps need to be removed.

Can you check for any special characters in your data. Special characters like ',",!,# do behave in an unwanted way and create problems. Check for the special characters from the point of start of spaces to the next character where the spaces end.

PDF email attachment logo problem

Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to solve the problem with Email attachment in PDF. If i remove the logo of the client in the Smartform i am getting the Email attachment fine but when i put back the image in the smartform the PDF is giving error and not opening the attachment.
The image is working fine in 4.6 system but the problem with ECC6.

Send .pdf as email attachment not under tools in 11.0.9

The option to send .pdf as an email attachment is not under the tools menu as it has been in previous versions. Is this an option that has been removed, or is this an error in the installation?

This does not solve the issue. I have updated my system to version 11.0.10 and the feature is still missing.

I thought you wanted to change it on your Mac since this is the iCloud on my Mac forum. To change it on your phone, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you aren't running iOS 8), then choose Delete from My iPhone and provide your password when prompted. If you're syncing your Mac with iCloud, you should also go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out and choose Delete from Mac at all of the prompts. Then change the primary email address associated with your iCloud ID as explained here: Change your Apple ID. Once you've made the change and verified the new address, go back to Settings>iCloud, sign in with the revised ID and make sure your sync settings are the way you want them as well as turning on Find My iPhone again. If you're syncing your Mac with iCloud, also go back to System Preferences>iCloud and sign back in with the revised ID. Your iCloud data will download back to your phone and Mac with you sign back in.

Zip the data and send as an email attachment

I have a requirement where I want to send the log as an email attachment. The log size is very huge about 20MB. When I try to send this log as an excel attachment through FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 its throwing an error related to the attachment size. Is there any way to zip the data and send the zipped attachment?

Email Attachment to iDoc

Hi All,
I have a very interesting requirement and need help to complete the interface.
Requirement
1. Pickup the Email Attachment (attachment contains ORDERS05 XML)
2. Do the mapping (ORDRES05 -
> ORDERS05 with minor changes)
3. Send the iDoc to an ERP System.
AND
1. Pickup the Email Attachment (attachment contains ORDERS05 XML)
2. Send the Attachment along with the same file name to the FTP Server.

Email Attachment Size Etiquette

I'm looking for opinions on what is the biggest "polite" email attachment size.
By this I mean.. how big of a file can you send without calling them to make sure they aren't out of the country for a week because your huge attachment will fill their mailbox and reject all incoming mail for the next three days and it's your fault... Oh and it's your most important client... (I swear this hasn't happened.)
I'm thinking it is still around 5MB. What are your thoughts.

Internally in an enterprise, 5MB
Externally, 1MB, and usually zipped.
I'd be annoyed if someone was sending me 5MB mails to my iphone over EDGE!

Yes, but you shouldn't.
Here's how.
Export the Slideshow to the FInder - a process that will make a QuickTime movie of it.
Attach that movie to the email. Send
Why not? Videos are very large files. Most Internet providers have a limit on the largest file you can send. Sending one too large means it can bounce back to you. ALso, even if the other person can receive it, downloading large files via email is slow, and can even cause crashes on some email apps on older systems.
Intead of emailing it, upload it to DropBox, YouTube, Vimeo, or any other sharing site and send the person a link.
Then they can download it themselves

Please guide me that how I can get scheduled reports in Campus Manager in email attachment.
I am unable to receive email for the schedule reports saying error says that unable to connect the smtp on port 25.
In the location CS->Server->System Preferences Enable E-mail Attachment (Checked)

try to telnet on the port 25 of the SMTP server and see if you can.
also you can check the anti-virus and the firewall if it's blocking the connection.
else you can see the sniffer trace output while the LMs try to send the E-mail

Cant share by email attachment

When I try to share a photo by email attachment, action stalls and will not complete.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

I’ve found it usually works best with web mail via Adobe after obtaining verification. I know some email services block bulk email completely and I’ve only tested it with Gmail on PSE11 which works fine. Before you start it will help to check your internet security settings. If they are set to High, reduce the settings to Medium temporarily. Then follow these instructions.
1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.

2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
5. Test the system (first use only) by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next (Mac users should use attachments)
6. Choose a contact then click Next
7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.
10. Return to the verification dialog and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the Sender verification field and click OK. Wait for validation confirmation then click OK to continue
