Huge font in iTunes when syncing iPod nano

Whenever I try to sync my iPod nano 2nd gen. the font in iTunes gets huge, and I can't figure out how to get it normal. It does not do it with my iPhone. Anybody else experience this and figure out how to get the font back to normal? Oh, and it's not the font for the whole page, just the top and left side, and when I click on the device and go to my information everything is huge there, too.
I have the most updated version of iTunes also.
Help! And thank you.

Have you tried restoring your iPod? Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

  • ITunes displays -48 error message when syncing iPod Nano on Windows XP

My girlfriend's mom's iPod Nano ran out of charge while jogging so she decided to charge it on her daughter's iHome. The next day she went to use her iPod but it was totally empty of all music and files. When she tried to sync it to iTunes, she received an eror message stating, "An unknown error has occurred (-48)" from iTunes and a Windows message stating that some iPod folder/file was corrupted.
If anyone receives such a message, I was able to correct it by:
-Plugging in your iPod to your PC
    -Ignore the error messages
    -Go to My Computer
-Find your iPod's drive letter (ie. G:)
-Right-click on it and select Properties
-Go to Tools Tab >Error-checking and select Check Now
You should be able to sync your iPod as before. I do not claim to be an expert so be warned that it may not work for you. Good luck!

  • Error message when syncing Ipod nano

Every time I have tried to sync my ipod the last week or so, I get an error message saying the disc cannot be read or written to or Error 14-. When I tried to restore the Ipod, it could not even do that and I got an Error 1439. Can anyone help?

There was a problem with my USB port connection. I was using a cheap multi USB port extender which had given me problems with my palm pilot as well. When I connected the IPOD directly to the computer I was able to restore and sync it.

    Hi kumaradevan.g,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an issue syncing music to your iPod from a specific laptop. The article linked below provides a lot of great tips that can help resolve the syncing issue that you described.
'Disk cannot be read from or written to' when syncing iPod or 'Firmware update failure' error when updating or restoring…

  • Cannot enable "open itunes when this ipod is connected" with brand new nano

I just purchased a new 16GB 4G nano, and iTunes will not enable the check box for "open itunes when this ipod is connected". It is not greyed-out, but when I select it (check the box), iTunes un-checks the box upon the next sync.
Why won't iTunes allow me to enable "open itunes when this ipod is connected"? I have tried all combinations of check boxes, but to no avail.
    Please help!

I found my answer whenever the question was posted and started checking the "More Like This" items.  I swear I tried to search and find an answer before posting my question but got back some non-sensical results.  However, the answer was found in an archived thread "
When I connect my iPod Touch, why won't iTunes 9.2 open automatically?
and the answer was to unclick the auto open option, shut down iTunes and restart, then click the option back on. The iTunes Help message window appears asking if I was sure I wanted to do this (Of Course!) and it seems to have addressed the problem!!

  • Is it possible to find out when was ipod nano 6th gen last time connected to the iTunes?

    Hi
I would like to know is it possible to trace this information using serial number or is it possible to get this info from some authorized personal?
    Thanks in advance

You may not be able to show "When" the iPod nano was plugged in, but you can find out when the last sync was.  Open the desktop iTunes app (you don't need to plug the nano in), choose the iTunes drop down menu, select "Preferences" {or after opening iTunes, use Command-Comma to show the Preferences, select the "Devices" icon.  It will show all devices which have been synced.  This may or may not show if logged in under another user.  This is only the easiest way.  Jim

ATA bus error means that data corruption occurred during transmission over ATA bus (SATA or PATA). This type of errors can be indicated by
ICRC or ABRT error as described in the section called “ATA/ATAPI device error (non-NCQ / non-CHECK CONDITION)”.
Controller-specific error completion with error information indicating transmission error.
On some controllers, command timeout. In this case, there may be a mechanism to determine that the timeout is due to transmission error.
Unknown/random errors, timeouts and all sorts of weirdities.
As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

iTunes said my iPod Nano 4G is corrupted when it's in one USB port, but not in the other. Is the port faulty? Windows 7 PC

Could just be a loose connection or that the cable itself is going bad.  There are a number of factors that could play into this scenario.
