Huge Issues with PDF Attachements in Emails

I am using my Q10 as my business device and most of the time I love it, it brought me back to BBRY. But one thing is really causing me headaches and problems I thought were left in the past since a couple of years.
I receive and send a lot of Emails and I rely a lot on this way of communication. But with the Q10, I always have to carry my old iPhone 5 with me, because the Q10 can´t open roughly 50% of all the PDF attachments on Emails. I just found a PDF Viewer which can open those files, but its a hustle which I don´t understand, because its actually the first phone which I owned in the past years which has such an issue in such an essential feature.
For example, one of my employee´s just send me a handwritten checklist as a PDF document via Email and when I try to open the file, the viewer, which is started out of the Email-Programm, says (in german) that an error occured while opening the file. The Acrobat Reader gives the same error-message. qPDF Viewer is able to open the file without an issue at all. Also the iPhone 5, iPad and every Email programm that I tried has no problem to open the file.
My employee used the built-in scan-to-PDF-functionality of one of our HP Officejet 8600 Pro printers in the office to create the file. It was not changed after the scan-process.
I bet that the issue is known, but if I can help, I will provide as much information as you need (incl. sample-files of course), but this problem needs to be fixed immediately. I can´t think of a serious business device which has problems showing several PDF-files, this is something every Smartphone can do since the 8800 or even before that, and without any problems! Not to mention all the toyish Android Smartphones and iPhones on the market. This is a key feature for many many many companies, just imangine you´re in a hurry and you need to decide upon a changed offer, but you´re not able to open the file on your phone? You´ll need to carry an extra device for that, thats not good.

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Currently the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone supports PDF files with true PDF text, rather than scanning images into the PDF. Alternatively, if the sender has the option they can try sending the file as a text file(.txt).

I Don't think that the DI API has that functionality (but I am not sure).
However with .Net's System.Net.Mail it should be quite easy to build.

Sending an email with pdf attachment in Ecc6

we were in 4.6 c and recentely upgraded to ECC6. we have a program which we are sending email with pdf attachments. now it is breaking, we are able to display the pdf in the screen, but once it became the attachment , it is not going.
we are running the program in forground and not reading the spool and sending it. any idea

External Send PO as email with PDF attachment not working

hi,
we are using ECC6, and in txn NACT, Processing routine we can use Sapscript External send > SAPFM06P > ENTRY_NEU > MEDRUCK > PDF and in MN04/5 i create Output record, and in SCOT my PO is ready for transmission from either ME21N/2 and ME9F - works well - email sent with pdf PO attached.
HOWEVER, we have just created a SMARTFORM PO, and with similar settings, i cannot create External send OUTPUT!!! (Output failed in ME9F/ME23N) NACT settings External Send > /SMB40/FM06P > Z_MMPO_A > PDF
In SCOT > SMTP > Internet X > Sapscript/SmartForm = PDF.
Does special code need to be entered into Smartform to generate PDF email similar to Sapscript? Any code would be appreciated.

You need to build a code to create the Spool OTF output into PDF.
This can be done in Print program, which converts the spool into PDF & sends a mail with PDF attachment.

Error occured when sending mail with PDF attachment

When i trigger email through SMTP server with PDF attachment using application server 10g , i got following error :
REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
i am using web.show_document utility

There was an error opening document. Access denied. Cant open pdf attached to emails

I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader x and can't open files attached to emails in Outlook 2010. If I save the file, I can open it. I assume it has something to do with protected view or such but can't find where to change settings. I can open .doc and .xlsx files attached to emails so it seems to be only an issue with .pdf files attached to emails in Outlook. Suggestions?

To make things simple for you, here are two ways for you fix the problem:
A. Fix One PC
Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader X
Go to: Edit > Preferences...
Click on "General" in the left pane.
Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
You will prompted with a dialog box to remind you to close the application for the change to go into effect. Click Yes.
Click OK to save your change.
Exit Adobe Reader
B. Fix Several PCs in Your Organization
Following the above steps aren't practical if you have Adobe Acrobat installed on 1,000+ computers in 30 regional offices! Push this registry setting using your standard software deployment software.

Is anyone else having a problem sending a mail message with PDF attached?

Is anyone else having a problem sending a mail message with PDF attached? I receive the following message:
Sending the message content to the server failed.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
Is there a fix for this?

Anyone? I was hoping my problem would just 'fix itself'... but I still have some clients telling me they're not receiving any email from me. I've since deleted that account on my computers and re-added it. But still having the same issue.

Portrait Layout of the pdf attachment in email (T-code: VL71)

Hi all,
I have a problem with the layout of the pdf attachment in email. The sapscript layout is already set to Portrait.
When I print or preview the form, it is in portrait. but when I sent it through email, the form became LANDSCAPE layout in pdf file. I dont know what i happening. I had tried to check everything possible but just useless. Please give me some light.

I had checked T-Code: NACE, the method = 5 External Send. but there is no way to see whether the attachment is send as Portrait Layout or Landscape Layout.
I want it to be in PORTRAIT when send as attachment through External Send. How to set/configure the pdf layout when sending it through email?

I have used the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send the smartform as PDF attachment through email.In SOST transaction I can see that the mail has been sent to the reciepient,but the mail is not going to the mail box.What would be the reason for this?
