Huge Local Mac Calendar to my iPad

Hello,
I have a huge calendar locally on my macs calendar app. It has more thank 40.000 entries.
Since I know that iCloud has a limit of 25.000 entries does anybody knows how could I bring it in to my iPad ? I dont care about syncronazation because it never changes...
Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer. But I am curious, how do you accumulate over 40,000 entries in a calendar? I would have to have had 780 entries per year from the day I was born. I'm not in any way trying to say this isn't a valid question. I really am just curious.
Best of luck.

  • Deleted "On My Mac" calendars trying to share to iPad. Have a good copy still on iPhone4s. How do I get the phone calendars back on my Mac?

Accidently deleted "On My Mac" calendars trying to share to a new iPad. I still have a a full set of calendars on my iPhone4s. How do I get the phone calendars back onto my Mac?
Not knowing how to move theiPhone calendars I tried this.....
I have tried importing a .icbu file of each calendar exported just before the deletion.  Every time I import a backup, it restores fine initially with all my old events, but as soon as it syncs with iCloud it empties all the events prior to my deletion of the "On My Mac" set of caledars.

I had walked away from the computer and found another mouse hanging out on my wife's computer, I was able to plug it in and got the blue tooth set back up. Thanks for your responding to this.

  • HT201342 Why do I need a iCloud address I really don't understand what e iCloud is? I'd like to sync calendars from my iPad to my Mac will this help we achieve this open to anyone's input w previews experience!

Why do I need an iCloud email address? I mean I know I already have one set up but have never activated it what is the benefit?
Also does it make it easier to sync items between devices ie I'd like to get the calendar on my iPad 2 to transfer to my MacBook pro and vice versa.
Is it possible to activate iCloud syncing with out the iCloud email?
Any advice would be much appreciated

You can go to Settings>iCloud and enter you Apple ID to set up your account, then turn on syncing for the data you want to sync.  If you don't want to use iCloud email, don't turn Mail to On.  If you're Mac is runniing OS X 10.7.2 or later, you can sync it with your iCloud account.  You do this by going to System Preferences>iCloud, signing into your iCloud account, then checking the data you want to sync with iCloud (see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html).
If you sync your calendar on both your phone and your Mac with your iCloud account, then will remain in sync using iCloud.

  • I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa.

I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa. I have read up on it and Mobileme seemed the way to go, but isn't for sale anymore.  Will installing lion allow me to integrate calendars???

You should post in the SL forum for more help.
Since you're using SL, you should be able to sync using iSync application or iTunes. I'm not familiar with it, but I know it can be done.
And yes, if you install Lion and use iCloud, you will be able to sync iCal between all devices. Once set up, whatever change made on one automatically updates the other. Same for AddressBook.

  • My new icloud acct on my imac is duplicating entries in calendar from my ipad; how do I get rid of the duplicates and how do I get one calendar to be the main one to start with

I've just installed Mavericks on my iMac and now my calendar has duplicate and now sometimes tripled events by syncing with my ipad mini regardless of whether the item already existed in the iMac calendar already. How do I remove the duplicates? It was being able to sync calendars and contacts which was one of my reasons for moving from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and now it's a mess.

Crista70, What is happening is you now have 2 calendars with the entries in them. If you go into View, then Show Calendar List, you will see all your calendars. Uncheck the ones listed as "From My Mac" or uncheck the ones listed as "iCloud" and they will no longer show as duplicates. Personally, I prefer unchecking the "From My Mac" calendars so that my calendars are all synced across the devices.

  • How do I create multiple calendars on my iPad?

How do I create multiple calendars on my iPad?

I love stealing another users posts and here is one now ....
You don't create multiple calendars on the iPad.
The iPad is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer for contacts and calendar events. The contact Groups I've created with the Address Book on my Mac and the different calendars I have with iCal on my Mac are available and kept synchronized with the my iPhone's Contacts and Calendar applications, and the same applies to the iPad.
Long story short, this is done with the supported application on your computer used for syncing contacts and calendar events.
The same principle applies to PC users. You have to sync within iTunes from a supported calendar application on your PC.

  • Calendar App on iPad can't add events or toggle calendars

Something strange is going on with my Calendar app (New iPad...iOS5). It was working fine, with my local calendar and 2 subscribed calendars. But, after going in to Settings and turning on Calendar sync for my Google account, now when I open Calendar there's no button in the top left to select which calendars to view, delete calendars, change calendar colors, etc...And, there's no [+] icon in the lower right to add new events. The calendars are showing up, but it's like the entire app is now read only or something.
Any ideas how I can get the missing buttons back? I've tried re-starting the iPad, but that didn't do anything. I turned off the Google sync, thinking that may have been the problem, but that also had no affect.

Found the issue. (Love it when that happens...)
Turns out my Google password was somehow forgotten/blank. I didn't discover that until opening Mail and it prompted me for my Google password. Once I entered the Google password, the buttons and functionality returned to the Calendar app.
Seems like an odd little bug. Frustrating for sure, but luckily it's easily solved.

  • I have 12 birthday calendars on my iPad; can't get rid of the duplicates

    iPad 2 GSM + WiFI
    iOS 5.0.1
    Macbook Pro (10.7.2)
I sync calendars from MS Exchange and iCloud. I do not have a local calendar on my iPad.
    I have tried...
    * Disabling my Exchange and iCloud calendars and then doing a sync with iTunes selecting one (or more) of the available calendars to sync from iCal and then also checking the box to overwrite all calendars stored on the iPad.
    * Removing my iCloud account entirely from my iPad
    * Removing all accounts from my iPad
    * Doing a complete restore to factory defaults and restoring from a backup
So the calendar is definitely not associated with MobileMe/iCloud and it won't let me remove them manually on the iPad. Anyone know how to get rid of these things? It's getting really annoying.

I have two, and this is terribly annoying and more so there's no fix.

Do you have the Calendar option checked under iCloud on your Mac? Also under the iCloud option on your phone?

  • HT1296 I'm trying to sync my Mac calendar (OS X Mavericks10.9) to my iPhone 5c.  Help?

I have iCloud set up, but I'm not sure how to go about syncing the Mac Calendar to my iPhone.
The calendar on my iPhone has my yahoo account synced to it and also has a section for iCloud.
I've tried to add the On My Mac calendar to the Icloud section, but that doesn't help.

    Hey aeeveret,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
You can sync your calendars using iTunes so that your iPhone has the same information as your Mac.

  • PDF from Mac to iBooks on iPad - how?

PDF from Mac to iBooks on iPad - how?
Before iBooks for Mac came along I simply dragged my PDF to iTunes and synced my iPad. I foolishly installed Mavericks and iBooks on my Mac.
Now I have no idea how to drop PDF's to my iPad.
There is a support article but no helpful at
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4227?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
What must I do? I simply want Apple drag 'n drop functionality back please.

You should be able to add the PDF to the iBooks app on your Mac via File > Add To Library, and if you then connect your iPad to your Mac and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your Mac's iTunes then it should show on the iPad's Books tab for syncing to your iPad's iBooks app.
Or you can email the PDF to yourself and use 'open in' in the Mail app on your iPad to copy it into the iBooks app.

  • HT202879 Pages on Mac and Pages on IPad

With up grade in pages last fall all my docs in Mac were lost......luckly they were in pages on Ipad where they remain.
Is there anyway to sync them back into Mac?

Pages for iPad understands documents stored in iCloud, or locally on the iPad. If you use the former, both your iPad and Mac must be using the same Apple ID, and be signed into iCloud. Additionally, you will need to enable Documents & Data under iCloud on each device. This is in Settings > iCloud on IOS, and System Preferences > iCloud on OS X. Note on the latter, that there is an options category under Documents & Data. Check the Pages item in that sublist.
In Pages on your Mac, from the open dialog, choose the iCloud tab, and the documents that display there can be option+drag/drop to copy to your Mac, or simply drag/drop to move to your Mac. Bear in mind that if these are Pages ’09, or IOS Pages v1.7.2 documents, that you probably want a backup of them before opening in any release of Pages v5, due to irretrievable conversion into the v5 document architecture.
For documents local on your iPad, connect the device to iTunes with a USB cable. When your iPad appears under DEVICES in the left iTunes panel, select it. For the associated tabs for your iPad, click on Apps, and then scroll to the bottom where applications that can share documents is located. Pages will appear in this location, and any local files  on your iPad will too. You can simply drag them from the panel to where you want them on your Mac.
