HUGE "Media Offline" Problem. Looking for life raft. PLease save me

So I think I may have deleted about 60 Gigs of video and I'm curious if anyone out there might be a wizard in the dark, and might be able to save me from drowning in my own despair.
The situation:
I've been capturing clips into iMovie and then transferring files from the iMovie Media bin into the Final Cut Express bin. I have also been putting items into my trash bin all along that I didn't want. Recently, I saw there were trash items in iMovie and it asked if I wanted them anymore. I checked to make sure all the files were also in Final Cut Express bin, and then said ok. Now half of my media is offline. Is there any way of getting it back? Any sort of Trash Recovery program for Macs? Anything? ....

P.S. I have a 16 day deadline. That's even hard to write, let alone think...

If by moved them into the FCE bin you mean a bin in the browser then you didn't do anything except tell FCE where the material was. If you then delete the material it's gone. There is no way to recapture iMovie material because it has no timecode. You might want to do a finder search just to see if some of the clips are still on your hard drive, but if they're not you'll have to recapture the material.

Media Offline problem...

I'm having a problem with getting the dreaded red bar saying my media is offline. Seriously... I've read through past posts and still can't resolved my problem. I captured the media several days ago and have been working on/saving the project very consistently.
Today I went to try and go in to LiveType and for some reason 75% of my clips are now reading offline. So I read the forums and read what I needed to do to reconnect, but now I can't find anything on in my scratch disk folder even remotely related to my project.
What would have caused the clips to go offline? And why aren't they in the scratch disk folder?
I would appreciate any help. This is a project for work that is already way overdue.

The info relates to Soundtrack but I think the priciple/bug is the same in your case. Loosing files occurs during the import/export process. At this stage, no clear answer is known. Just workarounds.

Nomad Zen Xtra 40 gig Problems - Looking for Redemption and OS - Do not want to convert to I-

 I've been having issues with my player. It has only been about 8 months, I think, since I have had it. I have wanted a Nomad since the first gig came out, junior in high school. I just now started college, but would be a senior had I started right off. I have been bragging about Creative's Nomad forever and encouraging my friends to go Nomad and not I-pod. They laugh and tell me I do a better job advertising for Creative than Mac does for I-pod. I used hamster logic to con myself into spending the money for a Nomad when my last audio device died because I just about never go without headphones on. Peers from class and almost anywhere tell me they recognized me when I?m out doing errands because my player and headphones. My friends all joke about being a little worried when I stopped wearing my headphones, Nomad, and a lot have asked why. I will let them know if this is not solved. I accept that all my audio players eventually break, but 8 months or so for a 260 dollar player. My RCA Mp3 player lasted longer, was cheaper, and only broke because a friend living with me borrowed it and stepped on it. The reason my nomad is not working seems to be software related on top of things. It has its own protecti've case (Not the one sent with the player-a better one), the plastic film on the screen has never been removed. I take care of it. I would flip if anyone got so much as a finger print on it. My point is I'm a little shocked by its lifespan and the problems it'ss giving me. Other players seemed to keep having similar problems as I have read your forums.
 My player started with playlist transfer issues then stopped transferring Mp3's. After trying to attempt new transfers it started to take forever to turn on and off. It would rebuild its library quite frequently. I also noticed it was not keeping accurate information about how much hard dri've space it used. I do not have the internet on my home computer, the only computer the nomad ever connects to, and all my Mp3?s were created by your software from the original cd?s. The chances of a virus or corrupt file seem low though I am going to reformat my computer as it seems a little slower. I tried to reset my player, scan disk, erase my files, and just recently reload the OS. Funny thing is none of those things worked; however I have not finished with the OS reload because I cannot seem to get a copy of the OS. My first assumption was that a kind of BIOS would have a re-loadable version. The forums were vague on where the new OS would come from and certainly they would have an OS for it with the software they sent if not built in. Neither place has it. The internet where I have read vague advice for similar problems is where I have turned to next, and yet I can only find an update. I think that your web page is better built than most, but some of it could still use improvement. Your media software is awesome. I have wasted money on a few Mp3 softwares trying to promote memberships, sell higher versions of itself, and do everything but the reason I bought it for. I am pleased with your ripping software and player. The AOL promotion really drags down its style.
 I want Creative to redeem itself and customer care by showing me excellent customer service. Please help me get a new OS. I also recommend that you make downloadable backup copies available along with your updates if you do not start including them on your software package. I say this because if I could not get it to work after all the troubleshooting I have done I was going to use a Best Buy Warranty to purchase a new Nomad, but from all the forums and software hunting I?ve done, I find Creative inadequate in customer care, mainly the OS availability. I will not waste anymore time other than waiting for an OS. Meaning even if I can still get it shipped in I won?t. My bitterness is surfacing, but I still very much support Creative. I want to start promoting Creative again, but if left with a blank 260 dollar hard dri've I will use the Best Buy Warranty to get an I-Pod if not given a reason to maintain my strong faith in Creative ,and I will share my negati've experience with others. The New OS/Firmware fixed my issue. I had trouble finding it. It says update. I assumed update & not full OS. Once I had it I was unsure if it would work. I could not get it to run on either of the two computers it was pulled from. st from my schools comp. They prob. have a protection of some sort. It is a little wiggy using their com

Major Problems, Looking for Solutions

Let me start at the beginning, which would be this past Monday (I think that's when it started). Went to bed the night before, computer was working fine, left it on (It's a Mac Mini G4 btw). Woke up, and the screen was white. Thought that something may have locked up during the night, as my screen saver has white elements in it, and restarted with the power button, and it still wasn't working properly. I turned it upside down, and was able to get some things done (turning it upside down is an old Playstation trick, but it worked at that point) but it kept locking up.
The next day, the problem worsened to where I would get the apple on the startup screen, but I either wouldn't get the wheel, or the wheel would show up and keep turning. Called up the store where I got the Mini, fearing it was the hard drive like it was with the tower I got before the Mini, and they mentioned something about 90 bucks to just look at it, and along the lines of 90 if it was the hard drive. Mini's 2 years old, and was a G4, and I was not in a position to spend 200 bucks, so I researched a couple of options... they had a 90 days same as cash loan deal on their webpage, and I applied, and got it.
So now I'm typing this from a new iMac, but there are still a few issues. When I connected the iMac to the Mini to try and download all my settings and files, it froze up in the middle of the transfer. It continues to do that when I try and get any of the files off of it. I was able to back up some of the files to an external hard drive (I got nearly all of my personal pictures luckily), but right now I'm stuck with all of my music and movies on my iPod and a couple of things I was able to grab before the firewire connection froze on me. I read a suggestion to try and reinstall the OS on the Mini, and once it went to a blue screen with just the wheel and kept on that, and when I restarted, I got the blinking ?, so I tried to reinstall the OS again, and now when I start up the Mini, I get a window that says Mac OS, but nothing else.
There is a Mac Store that I can drive to, and after reading the forums here, I wish that I had called them first, since 40 bucks is definitely more within my price range for a diagnostic, but of course, now I've got to worry about the 90 days same as cash loan. If I could get the Mini working and get the rest of my files off of it, I would be very happy of course. If I could get it working so I could sell it and get some money towards that loan, even better!

Sorry to hear about the problems with you mini.
When the hard drive started acting up, I think the step to have taken would have been to insert your Mac OS X Installation disc (DVD or CD) and restart the computer while holding down the "C" key. Once the computer has booted from the installation disc, select "Utilities" from the menubar and open Disk Utility. Repair the disk, then quit Disk Utility and restart your system.
I still recommend this, though it may be less effective since you have tried a re-install first.
With regards to trying to firewire you old settings and files from the Mini to the new iMic, I'd recommend not using the Migration Assistant. Just use the Finder and concentrate on the files, not the settings.
Any programs you want to move should preferably be reinstalled from the original discs, and not copied over.
Settings from a PPC Panther mac transfered to Intel Tiger Mac can be a source of trouble for the new Mac. And this is doubly true when there is known corruption on the old Mac's filesystem.
Once you have salvaged what you can from the old Mac, you may still be able to save the hard disk, though it will require a total erasure and "zeroing" and reformatting using DiskUtility.

MSi GT70 0NC Graphics problem & looking for recovery image

Hello.
I recently reinstalied windows on my laptop and my "Desktop performance for Windws Aero" in windows experience score has dropped from 7.3 to 5.3 And no matter what drivers i use i can not get it back up!
Spent whole day today trying to figure this out. I installed windows 7 ultimate, fully updated, with drivers from MSi website and newwest drivers from NVIDIA and Intel websites. And still it shows Windows Aero at 5.3 while gaming graphics is at 7.3 It dives me NuTs!
Please help!
I also lost my original recovery option so if anyone has recovery CDs out there, can you please make an image and upload it somewhere? Or make a torrent?

Looking for PS Script to Save and Close All Open Documents

I used ACR and CS5 to process my Nikon D3 NEF files. I would like a script that would save all open documents (witin PS) with the highest possible quality (12). I've found several scripts that will close all open documents with save but cannot figure out how to implement a save script.
For example, I may have 20 converted .jpeg files open. I would like to run a script to save & close all open documents.
Is it possible? Can someone post an example working script?

Looking for a way to save space on iphone and maintain music in itunes

Okay here is the problem, I own a macbook pro and a iphone 16gb and I have been using itunes to manage my music for a very long time and my library has grown into thousands of songs.
Now, Is there a way to convert my music down to fit more on my iphone yet maintain my high bit-rate that I used to rip my CD's.
I was thinking of converting all my music and having two of all my songs, high bit-rate(for playing on my stereo system) & and converted bit-rate(for my iphone) but I do not want genius to mess up and a crazily duplicated library.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

ALL of your problems are caused by not allowing your router to broadcast its SSID.
Just turn that on and it will work just fine.
Not broadcasting your SSID provides no real security. Guys who can hack your wifi will find your SSID via AirSnort in about 3 seconds flat.
Broadcasting an SSID has NOTHING to do with turning off security.
You already have wpa2 turned on. Leave it on, and simply tell the router to broadcast its SSID, enter the passphrase once more, and you will be a happy camper.

Phone A Rings: Staff A picks up phone, transfers to Phone B. No Problem
Phone B Rings: Staff B picks up phone, attempts to transfer to Phone A, Goes straight to voicemail, does not even ring on Phone A.
Basically my boss can pick up calls and transfer them to me. I however cannot Xfer them back to him, when i try it i just hear his voicemail.
Please if anyone can help its driving me nuts, as i cant xfer he has to keep coming to my desk.

I don't understand the values in #TBL. Why are the manually inserted? Shouldn't they be the same as in #RPT_MILE_MASTER?
Further more I don't understand the condition in the cursor. Both tables have RPT_ID and MILE_ID in common. Either this is a real multivalued relationship, then why do you only filter by MILE_ID? It looks wrong.

Unfortunately this is a known bug in LabVIEW 8.0.1. Our R&D department is well aware of the issue and is currently working on the problem. In the mean time there are some possible work arounds
Check the "Enable debugging"option in the "Advanced Category" of the application executable properties.
Disable the "Remove Panel" option for all SubVIs containing Shared Variables in the build
Try Unchecking the "Disconnect type definitions and remove unused polymorphic VI instances" options also in the Advanced category of the executable properties as shown in the attached figure.
Move shared variables to the top level VIs and pass the data through the SubVI connector
Downgrade to LabVIEW 8.0.

How is Adobe Media Encoder CS5 working for you?

First of all IT IS GREAT and I use it a lot I also used the CS4 version before!
But I have to report two issues about version CS5:
1. I bought the English version of the production premium CS5 but I have a German operating system (win7 64bit) all other adobe application are in English except Adobe Media Encoder it shows up in German language! Not a show stopper but should be fixed.
2. Recently I wanted to encode a video into an h264. I made some custom settings for that and the encoded video played very stuttered in Microsoft Media Player 12 (like 12fps instead of 25fps [settings were set correct in AME]) but fine in Quicktime and VLC Player (execpt for the gamma bug but that's an other story...)
I did a lot of testings and found the issue! Sometimes when you change a lot of the h264 settings (don't know when it happens exactly) Media Encoder seems to not set the fps correctly allthough AME shows 25fps in it's settings this setting is not encoded into the final file!
Quicktime and VLC seems not to care about the missing information but Windows Media Player gets confused.
It does not happens when using a preset in AME it only happens when changing a lot and using custom settings!
You can see the missing fps setting when right clicking the encoded file and choose properties (german:Eigenschaften) switch the tap to Details and there is no fps setting in the stuttering files but when encoded with a preset in AME there is the correct 25fps setting!
I have attached a screenshots to demonstrate it:
My workaround so far was to choose a preset with 25fps and close to my desired settings and change as few as possible - Fingers crosses and with a chance of 3/4 I was able to encode a working file containing the fps setting in it which plays perfect in Microsoft Media Player!
I hope you take a look into this issue because if you have a long file and you have to encode it again because it fails....... uiuiui

Here Drive stuck on 'Looking for GPS"

Running version 3.0.4087.0 on Samsung Ativ S (in Canada). Nokia Drive seems to find my location without any issues for a short period of time. Later when launching it just shows "Looking for GPS" in the status bar and cannot find my location at all.
Location services are turned on for the phone and the app. All other mapping apps on the phone (including Here Maps) find my location very rapidly.
Yesterday I tried uninstalling and re-installing Here Drive but the "Looking for GPS" error is back again today.

Yup, me too. I love the Here Drive (on my Lumia 810), and it's been working perfectly well until last week. Now it's stuck on looking for GPS and showing as start location the place I was last week when I used it the last time.
Please, need to get this fixed! Nokia MAPs work just fine but not HERE Drive.
I have latest updates on both the phone and my Here drive. I uninstalled the app, and re-loaded it yesterday from the app store. Same thing again. Thought it may be due to being inside of the building, went out, changed locations, drove a bit and nope still not working. It's stuck. I've left it running for more than an hour and no luck what so ever.
A colleague with Lumia 920 has the same problem.
Not question of having a case covering the antennas either, his does not have a case, I took mine off the case, and the result is still the same, looking for GPS.
Please get this fixed ASAP!
