Huge Problems With Set Up - PLEASE HELP!

I purchased my Blackberry Playbook at Glasgow Airport in Scotland.
I connected to Boingo at the airport and tried to play with the Playbook, but had to organise a username, password and then it needed a software update. My flight was leaving soon and tried to update it but it only downloaded a small amount of the update!
I am currently in Dublin at a hotel and tried to connect to the hotel wifi with no luck! My iPad 2 and Macbook Pro connected no problem but not the playbook!
I then tried two different wifi networks around dublin and neither of them would work with the playbook aswell
Was thinking it was because the playbook has the wifi settings from scotland saved in its network settings?!?
I dunno does anyone know how to fix this? any idea? can i do a complete reset of the playbook or delete the network settings? (keeping in mind im still not able to get to the homescreen as i have to update the playbook before i can bloody use it?
ANY ONE THAT CAN HELP WOULD APPRECIATE IT!!

It is possible that your PB was cut off in the middle of updating the OS. Try this;
- hold the + and the - levers/buttons AND the On/Off button on the top of your BP down. Yes, all three at the same time until the unit restarts.
This should reset the PB and go from there. One other thing. You can not be in a hurry to update the OS. It can take as long as 40 minutes. RIM is working on making OS updates faster. The latest OS version is 1.0.7.3312.

Okay, i tried to load a playlist that had about 100 songs on it. While its loading, the update just stops. My ipod starts going crazy.The apple logo keeps lighting up and then the light doesnt come on but the logo is still there. I'm trying to build a chat server in Java on Linux OS.I've created basically 2 classes in the client program.The first one shows the login window.When we enter the Login ID & password & click on the ok button,the data is sent to the server for verification.If the login is true,the second class is invoked,which displays the messenger window.This class again access the server
for collecting the IDs of the online persons.But this statement which reads from the server causes an exception in the program.If we invoke the second class independently(ie not from 1st class) then there is no problem & the required data is read from the server.Can anyone please help me in getting this program right.I'm working on a p4 machine with JDK1.4.

I have a problem with my microphone. After i bougth Creative's sound card "Sound blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio" and installed it, everything was allright and my microphone was working great, but this was when I used Windows XP, when i started to use Windows 7, it suddenly was very weak and i almost didn't heard it.
Currently, I have bouth Windows XP and Windows 7 installed, so I know the microphone is working when I am switching up between the OS, because it still works good on Windows XP.
If you can help please tell me.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, I made sure the flexijack settings in the Audio controll panel are set to microphone and not line in, in the Windows 7 audio controll I have set the microphone volum to maximum and made sure it is configured properly.

PROBLEM WITH NEW ROW --- PLEASE HELP

I've had it with the framework. It's been 20 hours and counting that I am trying to insert/validate a new record.
Things just don't work as advertised.
Here's the situation:
I have an entity object with various validation rules in the validate() method.
Then I have a simple JSP page to insert new records.
At submit of button, I follow the framework's default
create new row and fill it up, with the difference
that i need to validate the row as soon as I fill it up
with data from the http request:

I have (hopefully) found a solution to my part of this problem. I was getting the ClassCastExceptions on any page with a <jbo:row> tag after doing a failed DML action. I have tested this with the delete event. (btw, I am using jdev9.0.3.3 w/ BC4J/JSP) Before what I was doing was this:

Problem with "Package Spec" please help.

I'm developing a master-detail form, so I'm using a "Package Spec" variable to hold the primary key value from the master form. The primary key value for the master is generated by a sequence.
Here's the package spec:

If I try to insert two consecutive records into the same detail table, I get an error saying "Unique Constraint voilated", becuase the variable is holding the old values.
And lastly after it inserts the record into the database, I get a dialog box saying, "successfuly inserted 2 records into the database" and when I click ok, the Form closes by itself, any ideas on how to stop this?
I'm really stuck here. Please help me out on this.

Hi,
Maybe the best way to start is to try building a new form from scratch. For simplicity I will assume that you have one master and one detail table. Master table has a primary key and the detail table has a foreign key to the master. Based on this, with the forms you can create a database block based on your master table. Use the wizard. Again using the wizard, create a second block based on the detail table. You'll see a screen to prompt to create a relationship. Create one by selecting the master table and the right foreign key relation. Now take a close look to all triggers automatically created by the form. Also check the "Relations" object found in you master block object tree. Note that the foreight key column in the detail table has the "Copy Value From Item" property set to monitor the master block's primary key.
This is the basic. You don't need the database triggers, except (in case you want to insert through, say, SLQPlus) the one for the master table, which will look like this:

Run the form and explore different situations to see how the form is keeping the data integrity.

Connection problems with WRT54G Router PLEASE HELP!!!!

Im having a huge issue and im hoping that someone can help me. Awhile ago i changed what i believe to be my router settings using 192.168.1.1 and i believe i added WEP secuirty. I changed my password i know that much. Anyway my problem is this - When i try connecting a router to my computer, i cannot access the internet OR the 192.168.1.1 setup. I just get a yellow caution sign on my wireless settings (running Windows 7), but when i connect my cable modem (Comcast) to my computer, i can access the internet. I have reset both the router and my cable modem MANY times (hard resets) and STILL cannot get the setup page for the router. I have TWO WRT54G rourters and BOTH do the same thing when connected to my desktop , yet BOTH work fine on an old machine running XP, so it is something i did with this computer. Can someone please help me solve this issue? any hlep would be appreciated as i am stumped and do not know how to fix this and cannot use WI-FI or my Xbox 360 until i can fix this..Thanks.

I'm having problems with my ringtones please help

I have tried everything to fix my BB Curve problem even down to the battery.   I have custom ringtones set for my husband and other family members. So whenever they call or text I know who it is.. Now my issue is that if I get a text from my son his ringtone will sound than if I get a standard text my son's ringtone will go again. Not the default for just regular ringtones. I took off my facebook becuase someone said that could be a problem. Verizon sent me a new phone and I entered everything manually so if there was something wrong I wouldn't transfer the problem to the new phone. It's not fixed. If someone could please help me. I'm getting ready to turn my BB off completely it's that frustrating. Thank you for any help.

It sounds as if you are saying that any "non-specific" SMS sender receives that text tone of the last one you have set a personal tone for who has texted you?
I don't know. I can only say that if you use those instructon in the guideline, they work.

Problem with long report - please help

We are using crystal report with ASP.NET/C# (Visual Studio 2005).
Using Crystal report viewer control on the web page to have previews.
A particular report is for say 6000 pages. I can not preview the report on the web page.
I have the following questions:
1. Does it make sense to think of previewing such a huge report on web page?
2. What should be the alternate?
3. I tried "Export to PDF" technique, but it failed.

I tried to use exportToPDF technique. It works when the number of page is less. But just hangs up when the number of pages is high. I am working on finding the breaking number.
There is no problem with HD space as well.
I also tried to print the report to a printer on the server directly. I used the printer as "Adobe PDF" to use Acrobat Distiller to create the PDF. It starts up and asks for the destination for the PDF file also. Once it starts the system shown an error and the Microsoft Feedback Assistant for failed application comes up.
I am now trying to print the pages to a network printer connected to the server. Shall get back with latest update after sometime.
Please do look into other possibilities or points where I might have committed an mistake.

Problem with my macbook -PLEASE HELP!

when i swtch my macbook on the sceen lits up for two seconds and then goes black. i tried all the instructions in the booklet but when i was installing the mac os x again (had the first disc in) there came a note that i have to replase disc 1 by disc 2. then i checked that i had the right setting that all my info wouldnt disappear when installing again and then it just started to install the thing even tho i still had disc 1 inside and before that it told me to change the disc. ok that was probably ok but then in the middle of installing disc one my macbook's sceen went dark again. when i started it again it seemed that i was in the same point where i started from. how can i continue from this? can my precious info still be saved? if i now continue installing do i start from the beginning? i live in a small town and no one else here has a mac and im not very good with any computers. PLEASE HELP!

Your data could possibly be saved....If the installation didn't full complete, your data should still be on your hard drive. As for you MacBook, it sounds like a MAJOR problem and should be brought to an Apple Genius at once.
It is possible for them to obtain your data and get it to you somehow. You should bring this to your Apple store, and, judging that you have the service plan, they will replace or repair your laptop accordingly.
I haven't heard anything of the sort for the MacBook, so, hopefully someone has and can further your troubleshooting procedures before you take it in and risk being away from your laptop for a week or so. I would opt for taking it to your Apple Store.

Problem with front row, please help!

I got a year old MBP 15" which I updated to leopard, and it works generally fine, except for the fact that when using front row and leaving it playing music for about 5 minutes idle, it freezes, goes to blank screen, but still plays the playlist it was set on, but when I use the remote control, or press keys, it keeps frozen, the only way to quit is to force power off.
Please help me, as I really like Front Row and my MBP is my hub for playing music in reunions.

Activation problems with Cingular. Please help very frustrated

Ok, here is the deal, I live in Orlando, FL most of the time, but I am in Michigan and I bougt 2 iphones today, that was 1000 bucks, plus 200 in security deposits. I went to cingular, payed the deposit, and now that im at home, i cant register the product. I have been on the phone with cingular suppost getting different reasons why i cant answer but i still want to check it out here. Im getting an address verification problem. The guy is saying that when we payed the sucurity deposit, we put our florida market address on file with the Pre Approved Credit Check Number. THere saying our sim cards are michigan sim cards, and its not letting me register because of the sim cards are not in the same market as the credit check number. I tunes keeps giving me an error of address though. Is anyone receiving this same problem? The error is saying that they cannot verify the address on file, as the address that im typing in, even though it is the same address. We tried changing everything to michigan, and still got the same problem. We changed the address on the credit check number, and the address that im trying to register in michigan.

First you need to cancel your first activation because your sim cards have been set up with activation in Michigan you will get a Michigan area code, prefix, etc. If you did not set it up with the exact are that you paid the deposit in, then you will not be able to activate it.
Ex: if I live in Texas, but want a California number, I have to go to Cali and set up my account, and then come back to Texas and I will have my Cali number while living in Texas.
If you tried to set it up wrong to many times it flags your account.
Either go back to the store you got them in and pay the security deposit again, or go to the closest ATT store in the area you would like to have your area code, prefix, etc. in.
Example: if you want a Michigan number, then go to Michigan..and set up your account all in the same place that you want your number....Billing addresses can be different but the activation address will be where the iPhone number is given from.

Video card or driver problems with an N200, please help!

I have a lenovo 3000 N200, it is really cool, runs even games quite well, including newer ones.
But, is it normal to for the display driver program to freeze out in Warcraft 3? It always does that, when accessing the list of maps in the game and after 3-5 mins during an actual game. It sets the resolution down to 640X480 (from 1280X800) and in 16 color. I have to reset it in order to make it work. Also it does the same in Spore - though after having the driver written for Spore installed, ( which I downloaded from lenovo's site ) I haven't encountered that problem so far. Also Second Life shuts down - thankfully it does not freeze the drivers. I understand that the model I have is not meant for gaming but if it can run Warhammer 40k: Soulstorm at meduim graphic settings (on widescreen) without a lagg I can't understand why it wouldn't be able to handle warcraft 3 - that even an ATi m200 express can handle. I mean an X3100 from Intel must be far more powerful. (Said ATi card laggs with older games like Unreal Tournament)
I have the latest driver - official - and a Win Xp pro Sp2. I always keep my system up to date - save for opsys but so far driver did not need sp3 - and virus clean.

Well, Unreal Tournament 2004 runs flawlessly on max graphics - though simple Unreal Tournament laggs like hell with all possible settings - also, as I said Dawn Of War and it's expansions run well on med graphics. The Suffering Ties That Bind runs also good on highest settings - though there is a bit of degradation compared to my tabletop pc's performance. Disciples 2 ran - of course - well, there were some texture problems with it but Heroes 5 ran quite well even on higher settings (as I mentioned it sometimes blunted down the textures but not always and it ran without a lagg). Alien Versus Predator 2 ran on max graphics, and there was no trouble, save for the aliens' special vision (that white thing that looks as if inverted colors) didn't work - aka was only a black screen - and that the crosshair of the smartgun was only a blank red/green block on the middle of the screen.Oh, and Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour works on highest settings without a lagg, along with Quake 3, and Jedi knight : Academy. It even runs Perfect World on high settings and only laggs in bigger towns - but that also might be because of the tremendous bandwidth usage that occurs. Even Red Alert 3 was able to run, but I would only advise that for RA fanatics, on low settings it was playable. Also, C & C: Tiberium Wars runs better than RA 3 , if you like that it is quite playable and worth a try. As you can see I have put it to it's limits to see what it can endure. Unreal Tournament 3 ran, though was gruesomely degraded and then it gave me the blue screen of death; so I quickly uninstalled that. Other than the forementioned program I had no real problems with the card, but the existing problems are a pain in the ... well we all know how bothering it can be when one is unable to play his/her favourite game (that should really run flawlessly).
Doesn't vista eat up too much of the system resources? A friend of mine was complaining about his n200 that vista is too slow on it and it eats up too much processor/memory.
Also, still no new on videocard front... Asked around if anyone knows, but I am guessing that maybe even Blizzard - referring to my Warcraft problem - shows more compassion to their forums and users than Lenovo, so I'll ask around there too.

Problems with Boot Camp - PLEASE HELP!

I'm having problems with Boot Camp. Here's what's happening. I ran Boot Camp Assistant, partitioning a 32GB BOOTCAMP drive. I insert my copy of XP and start the installation. My MBP restarts and boots into the Windows Setup. I let it run through the initial actions. I press ENTER to proceed, F8 to accept the license agreement, then when I get to the part where I should be able to select the Partition 3 BOOTCAMP drive (as it says in the Apple Boot Camp Manual) there is only a Partition 1 Unknown drive. It is the only drive to choose from and its a C: drive. I can't figure out why after I run boot camp the partitioned drive doesn't appear as an option in the windows installation. Please help!!!

Boot into Leo, start Disk Utility and you should see two partitions, your Leo partition and a Fat32 partition of 32GB at the end of the drive.
If not, boot camp didn't create it for some reason. If it is there then check it with DU and make sure its OK.
While your in there give it a name so you can easily identify it in your windows installer.
If there is no partition, create one using Disk Utility at the END if the drive. make sure you create it as a msdos (Fat32) partition and give it a name. The name cannot be more than 11 characters must be comprised of numbers and/or letters (no special characters).
Verify it before exiting DU.
Put in windows install disk, reboot - hold option key after the chime until you see the boot screen - select windows CD to begin install.
Don't forget to install Leo windows drivers after installing windows.

I'm still having problems with XUL Runner - please help am getting desperate!

I recently sought help over a problem I am having with FF. When I try and load it, I get a message telling me that XUL runner 1.9.2.11 is not compatible with 1.9.2.12. The advice I received was to do a clean install. I have done this a number of times - using the Uninstall option in Control Panel as well as running the uninstall utility in the Firefox program folder. Each time I reinstall, and get the same problem. The only difference is that a few days ago I was installing FF 3.6.10, and that gave the error message that XUL runner 1.9.2.11 was not compatible with 1.9.2.10.
I have FF set as my default browser, so when I click on links in e-mails, etc. I get the same failure to load symptoms. However, I found by chance that FF works OK in conjunction with System Mechanic 10 - a maintenance utility I have on my machine. If I select the on-line help option from that Menu, FF loads and runs OK. I can open new tabs and have no problem loading other pages. However, even with FF open, if I click a link in an e-mail, I get the XUL Runner error message.
Although not all symptoms are the same, I am also having problems with IE8. When I run the program it loads, shows a 'connecting' message in the tab header, then closes. If I uninstall FF, then System Mechanic selects IE8 as the default browser, and as with FF, loads OK.
Chrome and Safari both run OK (thankfully). there must be someone out there who knows what this all points to - is that person you?!
Note: Trouble shooting information retrieved using FF when opened with System Mechanic.

If you have such problems then you need remove the Firefox program folder before installing a new copy of the full Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
