    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Unfortunately that's not possible.

  • How can i put hulu in apple tv

How can I put new apps like Hulu on Apple TV?

You can't add apps to the Apple TV. Hulu is available natively for those in the US

  • With iOS 5, can I use my iPad or MacBook Pro to watch Hulu on Apple TV?

I want to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu on my TV, and while Ragu is the only device I can find with that capability (besides the XBox 360 for over twice the cost), I want to know if there is a workaround on the Apple TV using AirPlay. I love the idea of AirPlay and the endless possibilities of viewing my iPad2 on my TV, but I have read so many reports of it only working on a few apps, as of iOS 4.2
With iOS 5, does AirPlay now work for ALL streamed content (including anything open in Safari, or Hulu Plus App)? Are there any alternatives so I can use my Hulu with an Apple TV?
Also, does AirPlay work on MacBook Pro as well? (ie, if I have my iPad, can my wife watch hulu on our TV via Apple TV, via our MacBook Pro?)
Or... should I hold out and wait until Apple (hopefully) eventually caves in, and just go with Roku?

Re: Airplay. This is currently up to the developers to implement so it has nothing to do with Apple. Hulu have decided against it for legal reasons.
IOS 5 will bring airplay mirroring with iPad 2 but will have to wait and see to test. It isn't out until the 12th.
Airplay will work with the Macbook but only through iTunes

  • HT4799 Can I watch Hulu (or Hulu+) on Apple TV (3rd Gen)?

I just received my first Apple TV, 3rd generation, and see there are several options for streaming. I would like to also watch Hulu or Hulu+ on the Apple TV. Obviously there is no icon for it. Is there a was to install it on the unit or any other service not listed for that matter?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, you cannot add Hulu or any other service to the services per-installed on the Apple TV.

  • Hulu+ on Apple TV?

There are some Hulu+ programs I can get on my computer but I can't get them in my Apple TV.  Is that normal?  I found the program "Suits" on one but not the other?  Any fix?

Yes it is normal. Those will only be available via computer due to licensing.

  • Used Airplay and now no audio coming from Hulu and Netflix apps on Apple TV

I was watching a show on Hulu through Apple TV while looking at facebook on my iPhone.  I'd forgotten to turn the Airplay off on my iphone and a friend's facebook video played on my tv.  When it was over I tried to return to my Hulu show, but no audio was playing.  I tried the Netflix app and no luck there either.  I've turned both my phone and my apple TV off and on and nothing is working.  It's definitely not a problem with my tv set.  Can anyone help me fix this??

It's happened to me even when using airplay for a video that is not in FB.  I reset ATV and it works once and then the audio disappears again.  I'm considering using the ATV for a coaster.

  • Apple remote is not working

Video froze while watching hulu on Apple TV. I pressed the menu button and play button rapidly numerous times with no response. Now apple remote doesn't work, holding menu and right or left doesn't work either. The remote is barely a month old, what have I done and how do I fix it? I restarted my Apple TV and still no response, while watching a show by navigating with my remote app, I pressed my apple remote and saw the light would blink rapidly if I held the play button. Tried it a second time and it no longer responded. What do I do, buying another remote is not a logical option for a something I bought less than a month ago.

In the time it took my to sign up my Apple ID account so that I can ask a question and then formulate one. I unpaired and then paired my remote using my app for the 10th and now the remote is back to working...go figure

  • Hulu plus available in canada?, hulu plus available in canada?

I read news today that hulu plus can watch on apple tv.but i restart my apple tv i did't see hulu icon on main screen.so hulu  for US only or canada customer can view hulu on apple TV?

Go into setting and switch your iTunes Store to United States and then go back to the main menu. You will now see Hulu Plus and NBA. You will have to create a US iTunes account. Your Canadian account won't work.

  • Recurring payments in itunes billing

How can I stop a monthly recurring charge in my itunes account?  I clicked on Hulu+ on Apple TV as a trial membership. I am being charged monthly. How can I stop it?
    Thanks'

  • HBO GO on my ATV2?

Is there some underlying reason why Apple hasn't added HBO GO and Hulu+ to Apple TV?  ROKU is going to take major marketshare if Apple doesn't catch up!

guess it's a 2 businesses coming to agreement on how terms should be that is the reason
but it's purely speculations as this is a user helping user forum and apple dont read or write
here and even if they did they would be under nondislousure agreement so would not be able to give info before it was official
    but let them know

  • Cable TV is the new DINASOURS

I read an add and it said cable TV is going to be obsolete we are not going to have to pay big cable bills any more TV is going to be watched on computers, cell phones, Ipods, and things like that I don't know what that means for cable companies but for us little people that are paying very big Cable bills every mo. that we can not  really afford but it is our only intertainment so we pay it then they change the menu all around so you are so unhappy with it but can't do anything about it I think we will be saving lots of money

The only reason to pay a high cable bill today is to watch your local NBA , NHL, or MLB sports team - its still the only way due to the blackout restrictions currently put in place by their subscription packages - once this policy changes it will be very easy to cut the cable and go with a Netflix or Hulu or Apple TV , Amazon Prime, etc.... which will also eventually raise their prices and we will be back to where we are today with cable ...demand demand demand.....

  • How can I get TV shows viewed through Hulu Plus on the Apple TV 3 to show as widescreen with black bands above and below the screen shot instead of chopping off the sides on my non-widescreen TV?

I just bought a new Apple TV 3 today so I can watch shows from Hulu Plus without having to physically plug in separate audio and video cables from my Macbook Air to the TV every time. I have a non-widescreen TV and when I normally watch Hulu Plus on the TV (though Safari on my plugged in Macbook Air as mentioned above), the entire wide screen shot is shown with black bands above and below the sceen shot since I am watching a widescreen program on a non-widescreen TV.
However, I noticed that when I watch the same show through Hulu Plus on my new Apple TV 3, the left and right edges of the shot are chopped off to make the program fill my non-widescreen TV. This bothers me because I would like to see the full shot and not just the chopped off middle portion. This is a real bummber because watching Hulu Plus without having to plug in my laptop is the only reason I bought the Apple TV. Is there anything I can do about this?
    Thanks!
(FYI: I have the very first Macbook Air that is not capable of mirroring)

How are you actually connected to the TV?  Does it have HDMI?  Most non-widescreen TVs would not.
I would suspect a converter is either not outputting properly, your TV not interpreting the signal properly or you have some form of Zoom setting enabled on the TV.
How does your TV handle widescreen from say cable or terrestrial TV sources ?
Unfortunately AppleTV is not designed to be used with non-widescreen TVs so there's no setting on AppleTV to tweak.

  • How can I get AirPlay mirroring to fill widescreen? It works automatically for apps built for apple tv, but not Hulu Plus, for example, which letterboxes.

Airplay mirroring works great for apps (mostly video-related ones) with native Apple TV support, but for other apps - most notably Hulu Plus, it will only show letterbox on my 16:9 plasma TV. Again, my movies, tv shows and in-app videos like in CNN where there's a built-in AirPlay support will fill my widescreen, but apps that don't (Hulu Plus, games, photos) will not. Do I have to change the aspect ratio on the tv to 4:3? Will changing the resolution help.
How can I get mirroring to fill the entire tv screen, regardless of the app? Thanks.

Guys. Let's not get confused here.
-AirPlay mirroring feature 'mirrors' what's on your iPad 2 or above or your iPhone 4s on to your big TV via the Apple TV black box.
-Video apps that stream video (like native YouTube app) uses AirPlay which is different to mirroring.
-When you use the 'mirror' feature you get black bars all around (left/right & top/bottom)
-There are Games that use the full screen via the AirPlay mirroring feature and there are games that don't. It depends on the Game. For example download Asphalt 7:Heat and you'll notice you get widescreen display on the big TV but if you play Batman or Max Payne or others that don't support AirPlay mirroring then it you get black bars left and right.
-What's neat about the AirPlay mirror feature is that when you play Asphalt 7 with 'mirroring' set to on, the race is shown on the TV while your iPad shows something completely different (the route in real time with your rear view mirror)
-The Apple iPhoto app on your iPhone 4s or iPad 2/3 with AirPlay mirroring feature on you get a different experience. All of a sudden it goes full screen, and you are presented with their iPhoto logo.
-Those who have the first generation iPad don't have mirroring capabilities so the Asphalt 7:Heat games feature aren't available or the iPhoto app features. With iPad 1 you can only stream video or music or image slideshow (which all stream full screen). iPad 2 and iPad 3 can also do this but with the added benefit of 'mirorring' what is displayed on the iPad screen. Some apps take advantage of this, some don't.
There are no special setting on Apple TV to get rid of the black bars. You may be able to change the zoom settings on your actual big TV.
Hopefully this will clear this all up. I have the iPad 1 and recently upgraded to the new iPad 3. I also have an iPhone 4s. Same issues.
I don't think the AirPlay 'mirror' feature has developed fully yet. It has it's limitations but also has its advantages.
