Hum 1.1 does not collect information CPU router 7507VXR/RSP4

Hello everyone, HUM has not been possible to extract information from computer's CPU. I have not found more information on the cisco.com website or anywhere.
According to official papers only need the mibs CISCO-PROCESS AND ENTITY.
Please your help and comments.

First of all, correct that the model of router is 7507/RSP4 (x2) with IOS 12.2 (14) S19.
The way of configuring the poller,

We are having a problem with one of our SQL servers, and in comparing it to the backup server which is working fine, I noticed some differences. I attempted to correct the differences, but no luck.
The dell server has 4 dual-core processors and at one point hyper-threading was enabled. One of our DBAs recommended that it be turned off. We didn't have any major problems until recently and it seems that getting this setting right is the lynchpin. Any suggestions?

I had P2V'd a SQL 2008 server and was having this issue. I tried everything I could find to get the affinity corrected; setting the Lock Pages security policy, trying the affinity commands in Single User mode, etc.
Then wrighbar's response got me headed in the right direction, but I ran into an issue where the previous engineer had set the Physical SQL server to have affinity on procs 9-16 of a 16 proc box, I could only set up to 8 procs on my VM. After searching
for a while for registry keys or config files that might be editable to change the affinity I couldn't find where SQL got that information from. Finally it hit me, maybe it's stored in the master or msdb datatbases.
SOLUTION: I was able to go back to the original Physical machine, change the affinity settings there, Stop SQL on both boxes, then copied MASTER, MODEL, MSDB, TEMPDB from the original Physical machine to the new virtual machine. All services started
OK on the virtual machine now and affinity was set the way I needed it.

Z68A-GD65-G E7681IMS.N00 bios does not suffer from cpu throttling

I have been trying to overclock my 2500k with no good results despite having one of the best aftermarket
coolers for my CPU (Noctua NH-D14). The problem was that even with the CPU working within acceptable
temperatures, I was suffering from cpu throttling.
-Ill try to describe the cpu throttling I experienced with N10,N20 and N31 beta bios: I was trying to achieve
4.8Ghz by maintaining the stock FSB and setting the multiplier to x48. I got to boot into windows, but no
matter what I used in C1E, Speedstep, Turbo boost, C-State, C-State Limit, Short or long term wattage or core limit,
the multiplier lowered from 48x to 41x under a prime95 or linx stress test, thus leaving the system a real CPU speed
of 4.1GHz just in the moment that high CPU clock is needed!!!!!!!!.
-I have assembled cheaper Z68 mainboards form other vendors having no problems in overclocking 2500k to 4.4Ghz with much worse
CPU coolers than mine, so I decided to investigate this issue a bit.....
I realized that original N00 bios does not suffer from CPU throttling, getting easily to 4.8Ghz with 1.4v CPU, maintaining the multiplier
ad 48X for the whole AVX linx stress tests, these are the results:
-N00 bios..............................48X stable multiplier......................4.8Ghz. ................linx 119.1360 GFlops
-N10,N20 or N31b bios...........41X-48X variable multiplier.............4.1-4.8Ghz............linx 104.4250 GFlops
hope this info is useful for anyone(specially bios developers), and I havent bored you......

Actually, I don't need to apply any kind of load to see the throttling in any of the latest bios, I just boot into windows and open CPUZ.
With the multi set at 48 in the bios, it jumps from about 44-48. A different (lower) multi produces the same fluctuation of the multi.
Using an older bios with the G43 board completely eliminated the issue, it stays at a constant 48, or whatever other multi I choose to set in the bios.
For my Z68-GD65, the oldest bios listed on the MSI download page, which is listed as v.23.0 (7681vN0) dated 07-06-2011, is the only bios that I can use to keep a steady multiplier, and thus clock speed.
But, as I mentioned, I have EIST, Speedstep, etc. all disabled, so I will always have one clock speed, whether at idle or load.
Thus it shows immediately when just at the desktop.
I want to emphasize that I'm not trying to make a big deal about this, just having a friendly discussion about it.
I have a good workaround for now, and as I mentioned, I'm very pleased with these MSI boards. I gave the G43 to a good friend, so I can just enjoy the Z68-GD65 now.
@Bernhard: That's an interesting theory that with EIST and C-States disabled, the Primary Plane power limit and long and short duration power settings don't apply correctly, etc.
I have no clue what it means, but it all sounds very good :-D
Only thing is, why does it not happen at all with an older bios in two different boards?
Perhaps you could simply try temporarily disabling all EIST, C1E, and C-State just to see if the multi fluctuates for you when you check with CPUZ?
By the way, I'm enjoying your posts on these boards, particularly the Z68 GD65 now. You're providing a lot of very helpful information, which certainly helps me to learn to work with this excellent motherboard.
For 4.8GHz (4809MHz in CPUZ with the 100.2 bus speed) I have the vcore at 1.420v., PLL is at 1.65v.
Quite stable there, I'm not anal with P95, but an hour or two of Prime Blend with no errors is good enough for me.

Does not retain information on pages in NNEREN MLS, "back" button goes to a message saying Mozilla does not retain information. Makes MLS almost unusable.

We realtors use MLS constantly. In our community the address is www.nnerenmls.com I can search for properties, but as soon as I select one to gather more information, and then go back to the search results, I get a message saying that Mozilla does not save information, which means that I have to run the search criteria all over again. Sometimes I have to do this a dozen times just for one project. Not acceptable. This is a recent problem, and it means that I have to use a different software for MLS. Is there a way to tell mozilla that I want it to save the data it retrieves so that I can go back to the results after looking at the details? Thanks.

Solaris 8 does not recognise second CPU

Hi,
my Solaris 8 installation on my E250 does not recognise my second CPU. prtdiag and psrinfo only show one CPU. OBP reports the second has no problem and is online (ASR). It even has the same temperature as the other operating one...
Can someone help me?

"Activity Monitor" utility does not update the "CPU Time" column in real ti

If I use Activity Monitor to display "All Processes", why doesn't it update the "CPU Time" column in real time? It updates the "% CPU" and others, but not the total "CPU Time". I have all columns viewed if that matters. However if you double click on a process in the Activity Monitor window, the details about the process are displayed in another window (number of threads, ports, CPU Time, Context Switches, Faults, etc), and as long as that detail window exists, the "CPU Time" column is updated in real time in the main Activity Monitor window. Is this a bug or a feature?? Does Leopard do this also? Have lots of free memory so that is not an issue. Thanks...

I noticed the same behavior reported by Bob: Not regarding the "process filter" or the "update frequency" selected "CPU Time" column is only updated when details dialog is open. I noticed it just today (which triggered the search here), I wonder if this "feature" has been always present or maybe activity monitor is getting lazy?

It appears that iPad does not retain information from prior years - appointments, etc. Valuable info is lost unless there is an archive feature that I cannot find.

Flash does not load information from xml on DMM system

I have flash file load information from xml file. flash file and xml file i push on IIS server. In presentation i add URL of flash file but flash file not show information.
I try run URL direct from DMP is ok.
Flash file write for Flash litte 3.1 and use action script 2.0. DMS system test with DMM version is 5.3 and DMP 4310G.
Please point where the error and the notes on flash file use with DMM for my programmer.

I think I maybe faced with a similar issue.
I've been working on a flash build that pulls in xml feeds. Everything I have works great so far but I've only been able to test as standalone(Desktop) and in the browser.
When I tested standalone(Desktop) I did get the flash security popup but once I granted access it worked fine.
I've never used DMP 4310 before. At this point in time I dont have access to it either. All I know is that my swf will be put on it.
Can anyone tell me how the DMP 4310 will handle the flash security popup?

E&M does not collect digits

I have a Cisco 1760 with one VIC-2E&M module. I get the dial tone after dialing a access code. When I dial the called number , the 1760 does not accept the phone number and I still hear the dial tone .

Mac Pro does not connect to ADSL router

Took my mac in so that they could install airport extreme card.
When clicking on the Airport icon on task bar my router is listed in the drop down menu. When selecting it, it asks for a WPA password, after entering the password it shows the connection failed. What's interesting is that I get same error even if I type password incorrect in, it does not complain about the password being wrong.
Got a notebook with widows xp that connects fine to this router, when connecting the Mac to the router via ethernet it works fine though.
I have installed my Airport card after I have installed 10.5.2 so I was thinking it might be a good idea to maybe install Tiger or 10.5 to see if this fixes the problem as I have read many posts of people complaining about their networks after installing 10.5.2.
No idea where to start trouble shooting.

Thanks Linc. Turns out the problem was the length of the Cat 6 cable. I have wires in the walls, so I do not know the exact length, but I reckon it must be 60 ft. If I connect the mini to the switch with a shorter cable it does work. Problem is I have no way to change the distance between switch and Mini: switch needs to be where I have all the wires departing to reach endpoints scattered through the apartment, and mini needs to be where I will use it.
Any views out there on whether I need a different switch, or a different computer?

hi there, i have installed a netgear w-lan router in my office, now my i chat account does not work any longer, as well as my colleagues have the same problem. bonjour list is ok but we cannot connect to AIM account. i am using the router via airport or ethernt, makes no difference. any ideas?

Airport Extreme in extender mode does not reconnect after main router reset.

I have an Airport Extreme 4th Gen (extender). set to extend the signal from an Airport Extreme 5th Gen (main). Whenever the main router resets (after reconfig, etc) the extender does not reconnect. I would have to restart the extender before it will connect again to the network. However, my Airport Express set to extend will automatically reconnect. Is this a settings issue? Please advise.

Ok, well I am hoping you are not doing a re-config of your 5'th gen all the time? This should only be done very rarely... we're talking like less than once a year for many people. Unless there's something else going on there, I wouldn't worry about it if you have to power-cycle the 4'th gen once in a few blue moons.

Tecra A11-11N does not boot after CPU upgrade

I would like to do a processor upgrade for my Tecra A11 11N from the i5-430M to a probably much faster i5.I thought the i5-580M would do, but the laptop did not boot when i installed this processor.
I reverted back to the 430M, did some research on the internet and found out that the 580M has a very high FSB speed and that is what probably made it not to work/incompatible with my machine.

Now i went back to the computer shop,returned the 580M and got an i5-560M as i compared it's specs and saw it would be compatible as it has the same FSB speed with the 430M.
I then later on in the day tried to install this cpu as an upgrade BUT alas!
It STILL WON'T BOOT ALSO.
I was left dumfounded.Processors in the same familly line are supposed to be compatible with one another provided:Lithography, FSB and socket type are similar.
Or what am i missing here?
I have done processor upgrades in many instances for both desktops and laptops and this is the first one that has left me with no words to say!
please offer some help/advice.

I solved this processor upgrade problem on my own.
I did some little research on what limits processor upgradability on computers and i
found out that BIOS was one of the factors that play a key part.
So,i went on a mission
to see if i could upgrade my BIOS and whether it would solve my problem.
I found this link to be very informative:

The following link gave me proof that the BIOS update would not bring any problems to my
machine and that there is already someone who had done it and not encountered any problems.

Just to make sure that you are on the safe side,before carrying out the procedure to update
your BIOS,make sure you have a fully charged battery in addition to the AC plugged in.A power
outtage during this procedure would instantly kill your machine.
The BIOS installation took less than 3 mins.I copied the executable on the desktop and run it
from there.
On rebooting,the new BIOS was installed.The new BIOS version was 3.40 dated on 05/18/2012 while
the older one was version 2.0 dated on 04/03/2010.
From Intel's website,the i5-430M was released on Q1 2010 while the i5-560M and i5-580M were
released on Q3 2010.
It is pretty obvious that by the time BIOS version 2.0 was release,these two newer processors
had not been released and that explains why they were not being recognized when i installed them.
I finally swapped the 430M with the 560M,assembled back the machine and powered it.
Voil!,the machine booted to it's new life.Everything is as was before!
So far i have not seen any problems even to do with overheating or the cooling fan spinning any
faster that before.It is all the same as before.There is considerable performance gain with the
uprade.I am a software developer and my various development enviroments including compilers,
debuggers,database and deployment servers have all been running way way faster than they were!
I believe the 580M can also work but unfortunately i had returned it back to the shop.
There is no reason for buying new machines when we can upgrade the ones we have.What will
happen to the older ones?This means more electronic waste and so does new machines.Let us try
to make better use of the ones we have a in turn,SAVE OUR ONLY PLANET EARTH FROM GLOBAL WARMING!

Mail does not collect mail

So I have Leopard running on my MacBook, and still Tiger on my iMac; haven't decided yet which one I will use in the future to collect my mail. The MacBook is handy, so I read my mails most of the time in the living. But I want these mails also retrieved by the iMac, later on.
I have various e-mail addresses but they are all forwarded to my DotMac account, so I can check easily when I am abroad and I do not have the MacBook at hand. (I use the DotMac account as a Pop-account, not an IMAP).
The strange thing is that mails which have been retrieved by the MacBook, later on are not retrieved by the iMac. (Of course I have unchecked the square 'delete mail from server after collecting' ).
Anyone an idea what I am doing wrong?

Memory increases, GC does not collect.

I am developing an AIR application using FlexBuilder (FlashBuilder) 4.0.1 (Standard) in an Eclipse plugin environment, on the Windows 7 64-bit platform.
My application is intended to run full-screen, on a touchscreen device, as an application for small children (pre-k).
The general operation is to present a series of scenarios, one by one, from a collection of separately developed swf files. (each swf file is a scenario). The child responds to the swf file, the swf file sends an event to the player, which performs an unloadAndStop() on the Loader object that loaded the swf. Then the next swf is loaded.
The problem we are seeing is that each swf file adds about 15-25 MB to the Workingset Private allocation of the AIR application (or the ADL.EXE runtime). Very little of this RAM is returned. After about 140 of these scenarios, the AIR runtime consumes about 1.6 GB of RAM. This, in itself, is not the problem - we could buy more RAM.
The problem is that the Loader crashes here, and takes the whole AIR runtime with it.
We also have a few "special purpose" swf files which are basically just wrappers around a s:VideoPlayer control, that plays a bindable file - .flv video, and the complete event fires the event that tells the AIR player to unloadAndStop the swf.
Since the video player took no manual intervention to test, I built a set of these to simulate a high load, and found that:
The .flv files are opened, but they are never closed. Since the s:VideoPlayer control is an MXML construct, there is no explicit way I can see to tell it to close the dang file when it's done. (it's not documented, anyway).
At exactly 32 video-swf items, the videos will continue to play, but there is no more audio.
At exactly 73 video-swf items, (seemingly regardless of the SIZE of the .flv file I select), the 73rd item crashes the Loader (and AIR player).
I supply unloadAndStop() with the (true) parameter. I follow it with a System.gc().
I explicitly remove ALL of my listeners. (in the AIR player application - I assume no control over items within the swf items that I am playing, since we assume we eventually may end up playing 3rd-party developed items; so we rely only on the return of a completion event, and a data structure).
I explicitly close() ALL of my audio streams. (at the AIR player level - not in the swfs.)
I explicitly stop() ALL of my timers.
My loader is instantiated in an element called "myLoaderContainer" - and after I receive my completion event, I do a myLoaderContainer.removeAllElements();
I have tried both the System.gc() call and the "unsupported" LocalConnection().connect('foo') call. both of these have zero effect. (in other words, I think there is probably no garbage to collect).
Still, I find it strange that nowhere, is it written, any kind of hint about how often garbage collection will do it's thing, and having graphed the flash.system.System.privateMemory; usage against all of my functions, and narrowed it down to my loader, and seeing that this allocation is never reclaimed, even on loader.unloadAndStop(true); - I wonder exactly what is the (true) parameter for, in that method?
I don't know what else I am supposed to do to force my Loader to *actually* unloadAndStop().
One would think that unloadAndStop() would not mean: "cease all functioning, but continue to occupy memory until the parent application chokes on it's own heap."

I recompiled the memory leaking program using AIR 3.0 and the leak remains. However my previous description of the problem was incorrect. It's not a bytearray I'm using. It's just a normal array, of 9 floats. Now this array is is being updated in an event, on an indefinite basis (from hardware data provided by a separate process running as a socket server). The updating array is a class scope array. On each update the index restarts to zero (ie. it's not a ballooning array). However, each item of that updating array is then being redispatched in the context of another socket event (request events by another process), using socket.writeDouble() - also on an indefinite basis.
So while the array is being written in the context of one event, it's simultaneously being read in the context of another uncorrelated event.
My only theory is that the speed at which the array is being written/read (since only nine floats) is causing some overflow in the number of temporary arrays that might be generated to accomodate such abuse. And that maybe such temps are becomining lost to the gc - that pehaps the gc can't keep up with the abuse. But that's just me speculating what theorys I could test for workarounds.
In native code I'd use various thread controls (mutexes etc), to control read/writes on the async socket events, but here I'm somewhat at a loss as to how to otherwise control the data flow. Indeed I ended up rewriting the program in native code (c++) to get around the memory leak.
