HUM in IM Location

Hello All,
This questions only involves Outbound Deliveries.
I am trying to implement HUM at an IM location.
I am trying to generate SSCC when I pack the delivery and it is letting me do so.
I maintained the config LO->HUM->External Identification-> SSCC generation Acc to EAN 128 -> Maintain SSCC generation for each plant/Storage location. This is allowing me to generate SSCC numbers at a St location level.
But now I am looking at this SAP documentation that says,
You can use all the functions from Inventory Management. The following are the exceptions:
The EAN128 functionality is not supported.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/1f/7f6d36f74c7505e10000009b38f839/frameset.htm
Can anyone please explain what this means?
Thank You,
Rakesh Yarlagadda

You can generate SSCC on HU's that are maintained even at IM locations. So not sure what SAP is trying to say.

  • HUM Polling time

    Hi,
we use HUM (in LMS 3.2) to monitor and report the availability of some routers (and 10 Mbit lines) of our customers. At the beginning of each month the customer gets a report via email. So far so good. Our service time to monitor this devices are from 8am to 8pm. My question is how can i create a poller that polls the devices exactly between this time interval.
This is important for us because during the night, say between 2am an 4am the carrier has often maintenance work to do on our WAN Link. Thus the poller will trigger a alarm and the availability of the customer devices in the reports are below 100% even though the customer devices and 10Mbit Links where actually 100% reachable.
    Location A(HUM) --------WAN Link---------------Location B-----------10 Mbit-----Customer A
                                                                                  |-----------10 Mbit-----Customer B
    Thanks. Best regards,
    Christian

Well, in client-side code you can cancel a statement if it is blocked or running a very long operation. For example, in Java you can call a cancel() method on the Statement object after it has begun executing a SQL query (has to be done by a separate thread, of course). It should cancel it almost immediately, but for some reason there is a 5 minute delay. A friend of mine at another company can run the same code on his company's Oracle database, and the cancel is completed quickly, consistently. While my code consistently has to wait around 5 minutes.
There must be some setting to adjust this time, since we have knocked off just about ever other possible discrepency (driver/driver version, database/database version, java/JDBC/version)

  • 311 movement (MB1B) - HUM

    Dear all,
Is it possible to post a 311 movement (stock transfer from storage loc. to storage loc.) (transaction MB1B) when the source storage location is managed WITH handling units (HUM) and the destination storage location is NOT managed with handling units (NOR in WM)?
    Any input will be appreciated.
    Thanks, Annabelle R.

    I would do this way:
    tcode: HUMO
select handling unit that you want to move from one location to another
on HU list, select HU and go to menu: Edit > Change HU postings > Storage location
    Enter receiving storage location, confirm
--> HU is transfered from WM-HUM issuing storage location to IM receiving location.
If you check te material document behind - you will find movement type 311.

  • PP-WM integration - staging pick parts across two different plants

    Hi,
    My requirements are as follows,
I have a manufacturing plant A and a Sales plant B. For the vast majority of cases goods are manufactured in A, transferred to B and then sold. However in a minority of cases finished goods are transferred from B back to the manufacturing plant A to be consumed in the manufacture of a different finished good e.g. relabelling to another material number etc. Plant B is full WM HU managed.
I want to enable pick parts staging via WM-PP. I am aware of the PP/WM integration steps in customizing but I am having difficulty in staging from plant B to A.
I have set up a WM HUM managed storage location for the production supply area in plant A and assigned to the same warehouse as plant B
Production Supply area is defined in Plant A
Replenishment movement type is defined for storage type
Storage Bin created in Plant A exact same type as bins in plant B
Control cycle created to link Production Supply Area and Storage bin for component materials
    Process steps
Create process order in plant A, list component material storage location as per production supply area storage location
Process order staging creates the transfer requirement correctly
However transfer requirement cannot convert to transfer order for staging. It does not appear to be able to recognise the stock in plant B and returns an error 'negative stocks not allowed in storage type'
My challenge is as follows, is it possible to setup staging of pick parts between two different plants using WM transfer orders?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
This is not possible. You can only stage from one plant and storage location - based on the supply area. The supply areas are maintained per plant and storage location and this is what the system will use for staging.

  • WM Putaway prepacked HUs (LT0B/LT0C) - best practice ?

    Hi,
We want to temporary store packed handling units before PGI takes place The functionality for Putaway prepacked HUs seems to be exactly what we need. This use transaction LT0B ( movement type 91 ) to putaway and LT0C ( movement type 92 ) to take back. This is done in a WM mangaged storage location ( no HU management )
The goods is initially in storage type 916 when pick and pack of the outbound delivery is done.
I have configured movement type 91 to make the move from 916 to storage type 500. This is correctly done for the HU.HU WM status updates to A at TO creation and B at TO confirmation. This correctly blocks for PGI
Movement type 92 moves back from 500 to 916.WM status updates to C at TO creation and (blank) at TO confirmation.
However has a delivery/HU where LT0B and LT0C is completely processed and confirmed the same status (blank) as a newly picked and packed delivery/HU. This e.g. means that the delivery/HU is picked up by LT0B again. We planned to run this as a batchjob to automatically create putaway TOs directly after pack, but it even picks up the deliveries/HU already returned from putaway ( unless we have made PGI )
I would really like to distinguish the 2 scenarios, and tried to have the LT0C to move to a different storage type 918. But this makes the HU WM status stay in status B and does not allow PGI.
Another issue is that these movements are not shown in the HU history. Similar moves with transaction LT0H/LT0I in a HUM managed storage location does appear in the history.
Has anyone used this functionality and have some advise ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error message in HUMO transaction for 349 movt type

    Hi All
The 349 Movt type is used to post the Handling unit from blocked status to Quality status in the HUMO Transaction.
So when I tried to post this transaction getting error ,*this movement 349 is not defined for this event.*Please guide. Thanks in advance.
The handling unit is in WM and HUM managed storage location.
In spro I have done the following configuration
spro>Logistics general>Handling unit management>movement types for Handling unit>transfer posting from blocked to quality -349.
Spro>Logistics execution >warehouse management >activities>define movement types >created 349 movement type with posting type U.
Spro>Logistics execution >warehouse management >Interfaces>assigned 349 Inventory management movt type to 349 wm reference movt type and 349 wm reference movt type to 309 wm movt type.
spro>logistics execution >warehouse mangement>define posting changes>given 349 IM Movt type and 349 wm movt type with posting from stock category S to Q.

    Hi,
Pls check in Tcode OMJJ - Allowed Transactions for Mtype - 349-  whether HUMO transaction was included in the allowed transaction?
    Hope this helps.

  • Delivery creation during transfer postings and posting changes

    Dear Experts,
Whenever i am posting a transfer posting with movement type 412 'Q' in a HUM managed storage location it is creating a outbound delivery. Basically this is a posting change and the system should not create a delivery. I want to prevent the creation of a delivery in this case.
What are  the settings that creates a delivery whenever a transfer posting is performed without reference to a STO or a PO. Any posting happening with MB1B or MB11 that results in a delivery. PLease let me know the exact settings to look out for.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

  • GR not generate Inbound under Handling Unit-managed SLoc

    Hi,
I have a question with regards to HU management.  May I know if, under standard SAP, that an Inbound delivery will be created automatically when posting a GRN against a purchasing order into a HUM-managed storage location?
If this is true, I wonder what I miss out on my system because there is no inbound delivery generated. See below my system posting and configuration.
    A) System configuration:
    B) Transaction.
    Purchasing Order:
When trying to perform GRN against this PO item 0020, the following error appears.
Why system does not allow me to post GRN to generate inbound delivery?
Next, I tried another way, by removing the confirmation control key in the PO. However, system complained about missing confirmation control key.  However, before the error message appear, I can see the message bar at the bottom showing “delivery being prepared”.
    Any idea what is missing?
    Regards,
    Tuff

    Ok Jurgen,
I tried again by creating a new PO, and the storage location is still a HUM-managed storage location (scrow up to see my first posting).
I removed the confirmation control key in my PO.
Next, the following error triggered when I tried post a GRN in MIGO.
"Purchase order 4500000409 00010 does not contain a confirmation control key".
However, before the error message appear when pressing the "post" button in MIGO, I can see the message bar at the bottom showing “delivery being prepared”.
    Any clue?

  • Mapping for Inbound Delivery (ASN) Idoc

Can anyone post the mapping and fields needed for posting Inbound Delivery against PO using incoming IDOC from vendor.
We are not using Handling Unit Management for inbound deliveries, but still getting the error "Field EXIDV empty" Field EXIDV is for Handling Unit Number.
How to overcome this error "Field EXIDV empty".
    Thanks

    Hi,
I would check to make sure that your receiving storage location is not activated for HUM management
Normally an Inbound delivery would only request EXIDV if you were trying to post stock to a HUM managed storage location
Can you create an inbound delivery without this issue directly in SAP (via VL31N with the same IDOC data?)

  • How to do 543 for the sub-contracting components in HUM storage location

    Hello,
I'm doing Sub-Contracting Goods receipt with 101 mvt type.
It happens that when i use a HUM storage location for the receipt of the materials, while posting the Goods receipt, it creates an inbound delivery.
Inbound delivery follows, Packing, Transfer Order, confirnmation and automatic Goods Receipt.
When you check the material document of the above Goods receipt, i dont see the posting of components with 543 +O mvt type. in the Goods Receipt document.  It happens that only the main material with mvt. type 101 is posted.
Also let me know is there any OSS Note which supports this above business process.
    Best Regards
    Srinivas Kulkarni

    Dear Srinivas,
In standard, a goods receipt posting for an inbound delivery referring to a sub-contracting purchase order triggers the goods issue posting for the components from the stock of material provided to the vendor, whether the receiving storage location is HU mananged or not. I thus assume that there is some issue specific to your system that prevents the step. What exactly do you mean with "leads to stock transfers"?
    Best regards,
    Christiane

  • Packing Instruction in storage location transfer (HUM)

    Hello,
I have this request to create a (packing) Instruction for moving materials from a non HUM storage location to HU managed storage location for a particular item category of materials.

    Hi,
    POP1 - create packing instruction
POF1 - to determine the packing instruction

  • Automatic Inbound Delivery Creation in HU Managed Storage Location

    Dear all...
I have created PO, packing instruction, and packing instruction determination.
Storage location was set to HU managed already.
Now I want do GR for PO (with MIGO transaction) which can create inbound delivery automatically, and also do the packing process.
    Which config/setting should I do?
    Thanks before.

    HI,
In IMG-Logistics general-HUM-Basics-MM-IM-HU req for SL and default values for deliveries
Select the plant and click Sto Loc there u can find HU ReQ, Check that HU Req Box.
If you set this indicator for a storage location, the system does not create a material document when it carries out a posting, but creates a delivery via Shipping

  • Buzz or Hum in Audio Port

My MacBook Pro has a low-level hum or buzz coming out the audio port
whenever sound is coming out of it, and for 25 seconds more.  Then it stops.
The noise sounds a bit like the 60-Hz hum or 120-Hz buzz from tube amps,
but it occurs even when my MacBook is running on its batttery,
    unplugged from its power supply.
The buzz is constant, independent of orientation of my computer, and sounds
about the same in all locations I've tried.
I can't hear it from the computer's speakers, but that's probably because
the built-in speakers' frequency response drops off above the most prominent
frequencies in this buzz.  I can hear it through Apple's earbuds  faintly.
The buzz is most annoying through audiophile headphones or external speakers.
The buzz occurs with any application that makes sound.  Even system
bleeps will cause it.  After the sound stops, the buzz continues for 25 seconds.
    Then the buzz stops.
I took my computer to the Genius Bar, but it was so noisy there that neither of us
could hear the buzz.  He took it in back where he used Apple earbuds, then reported
that the machine is "in spec".  Well, foo.
Any idea what happens inside the computer 25 seconds after the music stops?
I suppose I could try USB sound output.  Any recommendations?

  • HORRIBLE BUZZING/HUMMING WHEN CONNECTING SYNTHESIZER TO GARAGEBAND?

Hi! I want to connect my synthesizer to garage band so that I can use it as a live instrument when recording. I have a MobilePre USB from M-Audio. I just sent for an Imic, and I just bought a guitar cable adapter today from Griffin. Ok, when I use the M-Audio I get a horrible hum. I've tried different wall outlets, different volume settings, nothing works! When I plug directly into the computer using the guitar cable adapter I get a buzzing sound. It's the same kind of sound you might get through a guitar amplifier when you are playing live. It's infuriating!! If I would have known that this was going to happen I would have never invested the money. Is this what happens with all instruments that have their own power? Will the Imic get rid of the buzzing? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO PLEASE? HELP! Thanks, Jim.
Power PC G5 dual processor   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

try plugging it into an amp, and see if you get the same results. With the Mobile Pre, you didn't need to get an iMic or that cable stuff. The Mobile Pre is a better usb interface than the Griffin stuff. If you still get the noise through an amp, then try a different cable. You shouldn't be getting that with any instrument. There's a problem somewhere in the chain. You'll have to test each link in the chain to try and locate it. Do you have other instruments you can try?

  • Display gradient, humming when dimmed, and random shut downs

On the iMac alum. intel 20" display.
3 problems after 2 days from purchase, and from reading the recent threads, I'm not the only one. I've been a hardcore apple user for the past 10 years, and i have never been so disappointed. After reading that the gradient effect is common among most of new Alum. iMacs, i am left with a very ill feeling in my stomach. Taking it back to the Apple Store tomorrow. I've read other posts were people have returned up to 3 machines, all come back with the same problem. Should i just get a refund now, or try another replacement?

    Bought a brand new iMac 24" 3.06GHz 4GB MEM 1TB HD 2 weeks ago.
Soft hum, but enough to go nuts.
Returned it, and today got a new one.
    Same story.
I've read about this hum on different fora and ppl try to locate the problem.
But I noticed putting the system 2 feet from a wall actually solves the problem. Now that's great if your desk is in the middle of the room, but not the case here.
So this one's going back as well and I don't want another one.
I have a white 20" and a recent aluminum 20" model both are DEAD SILENT. No hum, no squeeck, nothing...
I think it's a serious flaw of the 24". At first I thought this new 3.06GHz processor needed some serious cooling but seems the 2.8GHz suffers the same problem.
If you install iStat Pro from www.islayer.com one can read the fan speeds.
1198-1200 rpm all the time and according to others it's same on both 2.8 and 3.06 models.
So I think Apple missed something here or they all have their pc's @ least 2 feet from a wall.
