HUM Interface utilization report error

Hi Joe,
I have LMS 3.1 installed at one of our client site.
In HUM they are pulling the interface utilization repor
t for routers. we are observing the utilization valu
es comming in the reports are false. the values are in bytes/sec fomat. lets there is a link of 1 GbPS in one of my device. if i am converting the TX utilization in to Gbps it becames 4.04 Gbps. how it is possible that the tx load will reach to 4 Gbps on a 1 Gb link?

LMS 4.2 specific interface utilization report

Hi,
is there a way to create a interface utilization report only for a specific port? Like switch1->interface fa0/10
Right now i can only choose all ports from a device?

So, the new weekly report does not show the high Utilizations anymore, but there is a new problem:
In the "Report Details", there are 7 devices and 126 interfaces, but in the "Interface Utilization Summary", there are only 49 Interfaces.

I face the some issue with you, I just run "Report/Report Launch Pad/Deivce/Interface Utilization"
and then I create a report for interface utilization.
But it display nothing when the report run finished.
I ask some guys in this forum, they said maybe it's a PI2.1 bug.

Interafce utilization report in lms 3.1

Hi I have installed LMS 3.1 at ine of our customer. when we are extracting interface utilization report(HUM interface report) It gives me the graphs which are in format of packets/second or value in % . Customer want a simple report which will give him the graps in bite or Kb per second. even if when the operator will pull the report the report should be generated simplly port utilization for both RX and tx in Kb or Mb insted of octate/packets per second.
Is it possible ? if it is possible please guide me how to configure the report template.

Can you clarify if this is correct
( Avg % Rx + Avg % TX ) x Total Bandwidth configured on interface/100 = Total Bandwidth Utilization
For eg: Avg % Rx=11
            Avg % Tx=11
            Interface= Gigaethernet 1/1
            Bandwidth 465000
Bandwidth= 465000= 46.5 Mbps
Now Applying formula = (11+11) x 46.5/ 100 = 10.23 Mbps i.e actual interface utilization

We have third party adapter Aria installed in our PI 7.1 system and whenever systems is restarted interface is reporting errors
in default trace and communication dies. but after we manually activate each time it works properly.
Is anyone had similiar issue ?

Prime Infrastructure (2.0) utilization report on port group possible?

Hello
I want to create an interface utilization report for a specific port group in PI, but can't see how to do that in the report setting. You only seem to be able to select a specific device or site rather than port group. Is it possible? Also, is it possible to put that on a dashlet?

Yes, I worked that out a little while ago, and can now see interface utilization by port group on the Performance > Network Interface page. I do have another question however (well two)....
I wanted to add graph over time for the utilization to the detail dashboard, but nothing shows up, even though I see the utilization in the network interface page, so I'm sure the monitoring is deployed. Why is the data missing from the graphs?
Also, I wanted to see interface packets per second graphs, but see that is not part of any default template, so I created a customer SNMP template from the IF-MIB to do this, but I can only deploy that against sites/devices or a list of interfaces, and not port groups. Why can't I deploy a customer SNMP template against a port group?

I have resolved the above problem by following the below procedure.
step-1
HUM log recovery has been done, but problem still persisted.
net stop crmdmgtd
deleted upm (hum) log file from the location NMSROOT\databases\cmf\upm.log
NMSROOT\objects\db\win32\dbsrv10.exe -f NMSROOT\databases\cmf\upm.db --> the database was set to forced closed (i.e. indicating that there are no more pending transactions)
step-2
net stop crmdmgtd
NMSROOT\bin\perl.exe NMSROOT\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=upm dmprefix=UPM --> reinitialized the HUM database
net start crmdmgtd
Now I am successfully able to create the interface utilization poller in HUM.

XL Reporter Error - Error Starting Excel! Cause: (Retrieve Excel Interface)

Hi all experts,
My customer is running SAP B1 8.8 PL13, with MS Office 2003.
One of the workstation is encountering XL Reporter error when trying to generate XL Reports.
Error starting Excel! Cause: (Retrieve Excel Interface) Automation error
Library not registered.
I have tried checking the Excel Macro security setting, COM-Addins, changing Excel.exe.config file to use .NET Framework 1.1. But the error still persists.
I have also tried uninstall SAP B1 client, remove SAP folder, the reinstall B1 client again, but the error still exist.
Any other idea except reformatting PC?

Interface VLAN Bandwidth Utilization Reporting

I am currently evaluating a few products for Network Management and Monitoring. The question i have is, how is % utilization calculated for a virtual interface? Some tools have reported that one of our interface vlans is at 320% utilization. Obviously, this is not accurate. If anyone can give me advice on how to accurately report interface utilization percentage on a virtual interface, I would appreciate it.

No, changing the vlan speed will not influence the physical interface's speed.

Generating Memory Utilization Report in HUM

I was trying to generate reports for devices in my network. I noticed that for most devices, the memory utilisation (no value for memory utilisation instances) was not polled though it's part of the variables in my poller configuration.

Web report error - (rsParameterError)

I've got a new install of SCCM 2012 R2 and I'm trying to access reports. All reports work fine from the console but from the Web interface, they all error. This affects both reports requiring me to enter parameters & those that don't. I'm just playing
with the stock reports at the moment. The error I receive is:
Parameter validation failed. It is not possible to

Sorry I don’t know why I didn’t see this earlier. Generally I see this when someone doesn’t have access to the Resources and they are drill thought from one report to another report. Is this the care for you?

Bumblebee daemon reported: error - ASUS UX303LN,bumblebee,geforce 840m

Hello. I am trying to get bumblebee up and running but there seems to be an issue. This is what i've done:
sudo pacman -S bumblebee mesa xf86-video-intel nvidia lib32-nvidia-utils lib32-mesa-libgl
gpasswd -a $USER bumblebee
sudo systemctl enable bumblebeed
reboot
But when i try to test it out i get the output:

So i whent onto the wiki and found this: (and also installed bbswitch)

If the console output is (PID varies):

[ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.
In /etc/mkinitcpio.conf change the MODULES var to:
MODULES="i915 bbswitch"
Or:
MODULES="i915 nouveau bbswitch"
And run:
# mkinitcpio -p linux
mkinitcpio ran fine with no errors. After i rebooted i got promoted with the same error. Can anyone give me a hint on if im missing someting?

Cisco PI 2.1 can't generate CPU utilization report

Hi Expert,
I just want to generate a CPU utilization report for my test router, I follow cisco offical documents step by step.
But unlucky, there's no result be display when I finished run the report.
Can anyone come cross this issue? Please help me to solve this issue.

It's a VM.
I chose the Express-Plus profile even though I could technically have used the Express profile for what they're managing. I always try to err on the side of more resources when building a management system. Getting a customer to adapt their workflow to properly leverage a NMS is hard enough without it also being a drag to use due to system sluggishness.
We're also running it on a nice new shiny data center - UCS B240 series blade with fast storage on Netapp SAS disks and connected directly to the 7010 core (via the Fabric Interconnect of course).

Interface bandwidth reporting incorrect

We currently have Netflow configured on our HQ router and capturing Ingress / Egress Netflow on all interfaces. We have a 150MB to our DR site. So data traveling from our servers (internal) to the DR site will be captured twice... (take a 10MB example):
10MB leaves Server --> 6509 --> 10MB Ingress on Inside interface --> 10MB Egress on Outside interface. Therefore, according to our monitoring software, the Outside interface will show 20MB of traffic.
We use Whatsup Flow Monitor. When we view the Interface utilization, we will often see the interface way over 100%. I realize we need to turn off Ingress or Egress strategically to make sure we only use one data stream, but what are other people doing to monitor the interfaces of their devices?
We are using Netflow version 5. Would version 9 do anything to solve this isse? Or, with IOS v15 and Flexible Netflow, will this type of scenario be avoided with the use of templates?

Last I hear, the rule of thumb is to pick one direction (ingress or egress) and stick to that for configuring all the interfaces of the entire router, lest the same flow gets counted twice due to mixing ingress-and-egress as you've witnessed. Even then, if one router's all ingress or another all egress, but they both export NetFlow records to the same collector/reporting server, a flow passing through a set of neighbor interfaces on the two routers would still get double-counted. I don't know how NetFlow v9 or Flexi NetFlow resolves this issue without the IOS allowing an interface to be configured with both ingress and egress flow cache simultaneously. That, plus the NetFlow collector/analyzer needs to have the intelligence to deduplicate.
Here's a blog post that seems to suggest some NetFlow reporting sw can resolve this issue alone, working with mixed-direction NetFlow v9 exports. However, I can't ascertain if this software exists yet.
