Hum problem with DDTS-100 with Klipsch Promedia 5.1

I have a problem with me decoder DDTS-100 since the beginning. I use it with Promedia 5.1 Klipsch kit.
When I use digital sources either optical or coax, when my decoder does'nt receive any signal from my DVD or X-box, I am earing a big hum coming out from my speakers. And then when my DDTS-100 receive a digital signal the hum disapeer.
I am not earing the hum when I use the analog input.
I am very disapointed about this bug because when the volume is high I am worried about my Klipsch kit.

I finnaly found out my problem
The buzz came out from my coax cable from my DVD. My DVD player was probably inducing 60Hz on the coax output.
I switched to the optical output and no more buzz.
I'll need to buy a new toslink cable to plug my x-box on the optical input #2
Also I pluged my TV audio out in my st analog input, it also induced a 60 Hz on my DDTS-100. The decoder does not seem to filter out electric noises.
I'm pretty happy to have found out my problem but I'm very dispointed that the DDTS-100 does not filter any electric noises.

Compatability with klipsch promedia ultra 5.1

i'm trying to figure out if my standard soundcard for my 1.5 gh g4 powerbook, about 2 years old now, can be used with these speakers, or if i'd be wasting my money. i can get a used, apparently perfect working set for $150.00, but don't know how to make them work together. ie; what kind of connecting cable do i need. i've searched the net with google to no specific avail.

If you want to get surround sound in games, you'll either have to buy an Dolby Digital Li've! card (Turtle Beach Montego or HDA X-Mystique) or get the Creative DTS-60 DTS Interacti've encoder (to convert analog to DTS digital).
If you just want surround for DVDs, you need to buy a hardware converter to go from coaxial to optical, like the one in the link below:

You'll also need a minijack to RCA cable. If you get a stereo one, just connect the white RCA end to the GMX pod.

DDTS-100 with 4.1 speakers?

I'm in the process of setting up a home theater on a fairly tight budget. I have a set of quality PC speakers that I'm happy with (Klipsch Promedia), and would like to use them for the audio for all my devices. The Creative DDTS-100 looks ideal for this, but all the promotional materials talk about its suitability for 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 systems, whereas my set is several years old, and is only 4.1.
The specs for the DDTS-100 look like they have three of the standard computer audio-out jacks (I'm not sure of the precise name for this size plug). My 4.1 speakers connect to two of these jacks.
How problematic would it be to combine my existing speakers with the DDTS-100? If I just plug them in, would the DDTS-100 downmix the audio signals to 4.1 Could I just buy a single center-channel speaker and hook it up to the remaining output to get 5.1 sound?
Thanks to anyone that can help with this - I looked over the documentation but it didn't seem to have anything applicable to this particular situation.

This is possible using software that allow choosing of audio output device, like Media Player Classic from xvidvideo.ru . Then you can, for example, play movie with Windows Media Center via output (HDMI), selected in Sound applet of Control Panel, and MP3 from MPC via different device (SB), selected in MPC options. Of course, playing from same source/program to both devices, or to two outputs on same device simultaneously is not possible, except device drivers itself support sound stream mirroring (not the case for Creative Soundblasters).

Centre channel problem with DDTS-100

I have a set of Gigaworks s750 speakers connected to my PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 via the DDTS-100 decoder; up until yesterday this was all working fine. Having moved some of the gear around to accomodate my new desk, I plugged everything back in and found that the sound from the front centre channel is muffled and/or quieter than the other channels.
The speakers themselves don't seem to be the problem as the PC (which is connected via the switch box included with the decoder) sounds fine but the problem persists with both the PS3 and X360.
My first thought was that I'd pulled one of the cables loose while rearranging the furniture but I've re-plugged everything in several times since with no joy. I've also tried changing the spdif cables and switching the sockets around, as well as removing the switch box and plugging the speakers directly into the decoder but nothing made any difference.
Has anyone ever encountered anything like this before and/or could offer any suggestions?
Any advice would be much appreceated.

Problem with subwoofer on DDTS-100

I have bought the DDTS-100 decoder recently. I have a DVD with optical output and Luxeon LogicFox T5.1 Home Theatre system. When I connected everything there is no subwoofer. The other channels work fine, except the subwoofer. Yesterday I returned the decoder to the computer store where they connected it with some creative speakers, and the subwoofer worked. But why I can'y get no subwoofer on my non-creative speakers?

Normal decoders take a slice of the bass from the other channels and put that through the sub woofer as well. This is called a "bass management" feature. The Creative decoder does not do this.
Most speakers will only put sound through the subwoofer if they get a signal directed to the subwoofer itself from the decoder. Creative speakers, on the other hand, take a slice of the bass from all the signals and put it to the subwoofer. You can test this by hooking up a CD player to the L/R input jack on Creative speakers. You'll get subwoofer output even though the subwoofer channel is supposed to be dead.
So, if you've got a normal decoder hooked up to normal speakers, it'll work fine, sending some of the bass from everything to the subwoofer. A set of Creative speakers hooked up to a Creative decoder will do the same thing. However, if you mix and match the systems, you'll get odd behaviour. A Creative decoder with non-Creative speakers will give you none of this bass-redirecting.
I believe this sort of design is called "manufacturer lock-in", intended to make you use Creative products in conjunction with other Creative products rather than their competition's.
Edit- You SHOULD get bass when a DVD etc. is sending a signal specifically to the subwoofer channel, though. Try to find a DVD with an explosion in it and see if you get any bass during the blast. If you aren't then your sub may be borked.

DDTS-100 Decoder with Inspire 5500D 5.1 Speakers (DIN Problem!)

Dear all,
I bought a DDTS-100 Decoder today, thinking it will improve connectivity and sound quality of my Inspire 5500D 5.1 Speaker System, but I have run into a bit of a problem. My system has a sub which every speaker is connected to and I have to have the DIN cable connected for controlling the speakers and sub but the DDTS-100 doesn't have a din slot so my speakers will not power on when connected to the ddts-100. Is there a way around this or will I have to take back my decoder. I hope there is a solution as I would be very thankful.

Creative Decoder DDTS-100 problem with my speakers

Hi, I just bought the DDTS, I have Klipsch THX 5.1 speakers and when I hook them up most of the sound is coming from the center channel. The other channels (front/rear) output sound but at a SUPER low level. Any ideas? Is it the Klipsch speakers?

Have you tried adjusting the levels for the center down and the other speakers up? On the main volume knob press the select button and it will select a specific speaker set to adjust the volume for. Try changing these settings and see if that helps.

Creative inspire 5300 5.1 with DDTS-100

Hello i'musing these set of speakers for 2.6 years and now decide tobuy decoder DDTS-100 but there is a problem ca't connect them and creative labs are saying this decoder is compatible with all speakers from creative !!!

Just connect them using your speaker audio cable from the decoder audio outputs jack to the speaker system audio inputs jack. The decoder user guide should also cover some simple guide for connection too which you can refer to.

Help.. What sound card to go with ddts 100??

HI everyone,?I just bought my samsung lcd tv and i am very anxious to get the ddts-100. But the problem now is: What sound card should i get? Get a Xi-Fi Extreme Music or just a cheaper soundcard will do since the decoding will be done by the decoder. Can anyone advise on this? I hope to spend lesser on the sound card but if it is really needed then i will get good one. Thanks.

Bear in mind the DDTS-100 will only decode Dolby and DTS (and their varieties). That is, it will happily decode the surround from a dvd (assuming your soundcard and software passes it over the digital) but it will only get stereo when gaming or using CMSS for music.
So, the DDTS-100 is a great partner to a standalone dvd player, games console, and whatever else you have hooked up to the tv. It will also play nice when watching dvds on the pc. It has a good upmixer for music and stereo tv too. If thats roughly what you had planned then it will fit that role nicely. Its also more convenient than switching manually over to the pc (with the switcher box) when you want to use it instead of the decoder.
If you were planning to do everything on the pc then it may be a bit pointless as your soundcard and software could do it all instead. Also, i suspect the quality will be better from a decent X-Fi than the DDTS-100 but havent got around to doing a comparison yet.

Help connect X-fi Elite Pro with DDTS-100 and Gigaworks s750

I purchased a brand new Gigaworks s750 speakers system, DDTS-100 decoder and X-fi Elite Pro. I connected the DDTS-100 and Elite Pro using Optical Fibre output from the audio console of X-fi Elite Pro to the optical digital input of DDTS-100. With the cables supplied with s750, I connected it to the Decoder DDTS-100. The problem is I am not getting any sound from the rear speakers and the front speakers. Only the centre speakers and the side speakers are producing sound. I could hear loud hissing sound and very very low volume of the music from the front speakers and no sound from the rear speakers. I can hear good quality sound from the centre speakers and average quality sound from the side speakers. What could possibly have gone wrong with my setup ? Somebody please help me. Thanq for your response. But unlike what you have mentioned, ("what may be happining is the soundcard is decoding the signal and then the ddts is trying to decode it with disatrous results"), In my setup the signal is not getting decoded two times, once by Soundcard and once by the DDTS-100. As I have mentioned that I am taking out an Optical Signal from the sound card to the DDTS-100, the signal comming out from the sound card to the DDTS is Encoded signal only. So there doesnt arise a chance that the signal is getting decoded twice. Can you think of any other reason why my setup is not working? Please let me know.

Annoying Buzzing with DDTS-100

Hi,
I have had a set of T-7900 speakers for about 6 months now and I've has no problems with them. They were being used in conjunction with an Audigy 2 ZS.
I decided to purchase the DDTS-100 decoder for my other devices to use the speakers. But when I have it all setup on the speakers on there is a loud buzzing sound. For those of you who have the DDTS-100 you will know you can switch between PC and source. When I flick it to decoder the buzzing stops.
Any ideas what's causing this?

Can I replace the Inspire 5500 decoder with a DDTS-100

All I want to do is replace the decoder that comes with the Inspire 5.1 Digital 5500 set with a DDTS-100, and continue to use the same speakers. Is this possible?
The only thing I can see preventing this is that at the moment the the sub and the decoder have to be connected via a din socket (for control and power), but there is no din input on the DDTS-100. Will this be a problem?

Wireless printing problem with hp officejet 100 mobile printer from win 7 dell laptop

My hp officejet 100 mobile printer was working fine with my dell XPS 15 in bluetooth wirelessly until my laptop crashed. Now I can not get it to print internet info except with hard wire connection. Page loads half way and then stops. Must shut down laptop and shut off printer or hard wire and shut off bluetooth. down loaded lastest drivers to no avail. printer will print from cell phone and win 8 computer via bluetooth but not win 7 laptop.

Sorry you are having problems with printing from the internet. I have a few more questions to ask you before I can be of much assistance.
What web-browser are you using?
Do you have any problems printing from Word or other non-internet documents?
What did you do to fix your computer (system restore, clean install of the OS, etc)?
Have you tried an alternate web-browser?
Make sure to install all of your Microsoft updates to see if that helps. Otherwise, answer those questions for me please and I will be happy to help.

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 compatible with iMac 12,2?

After researching on line for a superior 2.1 external speaker component to purchase I bought the (wired) Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speaker system. The owner's manual states since ProMedia 2.1 has an internal amplifier, they are designed to use the "line-out" connector of (my) computer. I realize that my 27" iMac desktop (mid2011) does have a 3.5mm minijack output for both headphones & "line-out".
My concern is will the Volume Control of the control pod interface correctly allow volume control of my speakers? Considering that the owner's manual states: "Some soundcard and /or PC manufacturers may have software that must be adjusted separately from the WINDOWS volume control. -&- "SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE GAIN CONTROLS" directions are described for : "Software Volume Controls in Microsoft Windows" - ONLY!
I (naively) have expectations that Best Buy, being that the are the only outlet that I could find that sells these Klipsch's speakers -&- have a APPLE "store within a (MF) store", should **** well know if the two items (Apple computers & Klipsch external speakers) are compatible with each other!! SILLY ME!!!!
I do NOT suffer FOOLS, gladly!!
If someone has experience or an informed opinion, I would be very grateful for some input. I suppose I could unpack the speakers and experiment, but **** it, when will computer-affiliated businesses learn that PC does not equal MICROSOFT (!#$!%) WINDOWS?

Wondering if you ever got these to work. We purchased yesterday on a whim & after set up smelled hot metal & LED light went out on the one that has the controls. Only noises we have got out of them is a strange loud feedback & a pop when they are turned on or off. What gives?

Stacked 100% bar chart - Problem with datatips for zero value data points

I have a stacked 100% bar chart that shows datatips in Flex 4.   However, I don't want it to show datatips for
data points with zero values.   Flex 4 shows the datatip for a zero value data point on the left side of a bar if the data point is not the first in the series.
Here's the code that illustrates this problem.    Of particular concern is the July bar.    Because of the zero value data point problem, it's not possible to see the datatip for "aaa".
Any ideas on how we can hide/remove the datatips for zero value data points ?        Thanks.
