    extended memory is allocated within the address space of virtual memory, OS manage  each  page of the extended meory whether it should be allocated to physical memory or "swap", you'd think virtual memory is a layer on top of physical memory + swap, rather than "different type of memory"

    Hi Dominic,
    a good page to review and bookmark is http://oracle.com/systemrequirements (but it doesn't talk about JavaScript).
    You will need JavaScript for the ADF-based web user interface, but you don't need ActiveX.  Flash Player is needed for the DVT (data visualization) components.   Your browser also needs to accept cookies.
    I am not an expert in HCM, so I don't know if they have functionality that has additional requirements.  A typical example would be ADF Desktop Integration functionality -- if you need that for your product usage, you'd typically need Microsoft Office apps.

    I am studying for the OPN R12 Human Capital Management Essentials exam ( 1Z0-548).
    following the study guide given by OPN on the GLP.
    But would really like a more structured approach as to going through all the user manuals.
    Looking for old past questions to practise with. Cannot find on OPN site , have asked Oracle University, they do not have .
    Does anyone know a good site where 'valid' examples of pervious old test questions with correct answers to practise on can be found ?

    There are not any sets of old exam questions available. Using the training resources mentioned on the website is your best bet.

    I lost my job back in 2011 and was not able to pay some of my cards and 3 went into collections: 1. Capital one (limit 1200) with Portfolio Recovery Services2. Orchard (HSBC $300) with Portfolio Recovery Services3. Citi ($6800 with Capital Management Services) I could not get pay for delete with any of them, so I went ahead and paid almost the full amount with PRS and settled for around $3000 with Capital Management Services and paid it in 3 installments. The last one was June 1st and the credit reports have been updated yesterday. The card still doesn't report 0 balance, but reports balance minus 3 payments. I received the letter from CMS stating that I paid the settlement. I really need to have zero balance showing because I want to start rebuilding my credit. Right now, my FICO scores are around 550 and I am hoping to raise them to around 650 at least within the next 1 year. What should I do? Order all the reports and dispute? Contact CMS?

  • Fusion Human Capital (Talent) Management - exact desktop requirement

    Hi,
    I've searched as much as I can and still can't seem to find a definitive answer.  Oracle HCM (or Talent Management) is certified for Adobe Flash Player and IE 8 (amongst others). What I really want to find out is: does it require ActiveX and/or JavaScript as well and is there anything else desktop related that it needs?
    There seems to be no documentation that I can find that answers this definitively.
    I need to deploy in a very restricted desktop environment and so need to know exactly what has to be in the desktop build in order for HCM to work.
    I have read the installation guides and certification document etc. but cannot find this level of detail (I'd, of course, love to find it just needs IE8 and Adobe Flash Player 10 )
    Any help appreciated.

  • Query about Human task (Management Chain)

    hi'
    I am designing work flow in which Human task is there, where I need a group of users to approve
    one after the other based on there seniority.
    my question is:
    1.) How to determine the seniority, if this is in OID how to do this.
    2.) I mentioned 3 users in management chain "A", "B", "C" the request goes to them
    and then in the work list if I log in to any one of them it ask for "Claim" in stead of approve/ reject
    once I do claim for that user, then approve/reject comes in and and after selecting approve/ reject
    the request goes away from all 3 users.
    I am checking the developers guide for Oracle BPEL, it says some thng else but some thing else is happening.

    Hi, please make sure that you select Users not Groups under the option 'Requires sequential approval of all partcipants below'. While designing the humantask, under 'Assignment and routing policy' --> type = Sequential List Of Approvers;
    Label=Your_Label
    Requires sequential approval of all participants below: This has two options:By Name, By expression.
    The option By Name has two options: Users, and Groups.
    Here make sure you select 'Users'.
    Then assign all the users in sequence you want them to approve. Then when you login the worklist application, you would see Approve/Reject.
    If the first/current approver approves, then only second/next approver in sequence can see/approve/reject.

    The certification charges differ from country to country for the live course and online courses, probably you can check for the Online course being offered in Asia Pacific region which would work out much cheaper. You can write to in to Education partners that are mentioned in the SAP website for the certification details.
    I would personally suggest that, if you are looking for certification then you can opt for online learning course. If it is just learning SAP HCM, then you can watch this site and sap.help, sap.bpx, sap library. There are lots of materials available online for you to learn. Thanks,

    There is no standard report or any program which calculated ratios in SAP. Only ratio calculated is contribution margin in Profitability analysis. you can achieve this functionality using report painter or form based report in Profit Center Accounting or in Financial Accounting.
