  • Human interaction process using BPM

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to create Human interaction process using BPM?
    Regards
    Sara

An insurance analyst has access only access to the backend, not to XI. So send the message to the backend, start a workflow here and send a message back.
You can use ABAP proxy to implement this.
In PI 7.1 there will be human interaction in BPM, but this requires a user in the PI system and is useful only for administrators, as there are no application data in PI which enables the user to decide, whether he should approve or reject the request.
In PI 3.0/7.0 there is no user interaction in BPM.

  • Can the PBL scripts be used to complete human interaction step of a process

    Hi,
I wish to have two threads between a split-join.
On thread has external notification-wait and other has a human interaction step.
The idea is just to show in a person's inbox a pending human activity(but should not actually work on it using workspace). Some other X application sends an 'external notification' to this process(notification-wait activity) saying that this human step is complete. Then the notification-wait activity will change the status of the process in other flow that human step is completed by a participant 'XYZ'.
You may suggest that instead of having split and join have an external human task which will then be completed by external application. But it is like.., currently the project demands that at times completing human task may not be so real time. A person completes task in an external app and say after 1 day that human step is to go ahead. in BAM DB and Process Data mart DB this human step is to be marked complete so that meaningful dashboards can be created.
So to say in other words is it possible to write some
pbl-scripts with some papi code which can update the process that human interaction step is complete?
Also is it possible for an admin user to complete a human task but actually updating the process db in such a way that some other participant has actually worked on it.?
Please, Can you hook me up the right PAPI classes which can help me out with this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Govinda

This list is more complete and was updated on 02/20/2011. <br />

It has the new keyboard 4.0 command for Panorama, but I didn't verify that list is as complete as I know the keyboard shortcuts - but a quick glance looks like it is.

My 1st gen nano arbitrarily moves from playing to paused, with no human interaction. This seems to be worse when it is in my Altec Lansing InMotion speaker, but it happens when it is not in the speaker as well.
    Reset didn't do anything helpful.
It ran out of warranty 2 days ago.
    Suggestions?

I've also tried resetting my iPod nano (2nd gen)and nothing helped with the pausing issue. But one thing that did help for awhile was resetting the nano, deleting the songs and restarting it....

    Hi,
Sory, but I'm still not sure, how ADF comunicates with BPM (I know that it uses EJB services and hwtaskflow.xml). But a still don't have an answers for follwowing questions:
    1) I know ADF quite good. Having method in data controls (in our case getTaskDetails()) we need to invoke it somehow. I don't see anywher invokation of this method.
    2) In generated task flow there is some managed beans and params - what is role of them ? Having over 50 task flows , do I need it in all of them. Where can I find description of those beans and params
    3) In our approach we use BPM , ADF RC for UI and Business Components to persist data into database. Only data from payload we need is ID of master-level row. My question is - do I have to generate data controls for all human task ?. In my my opinion it should be only one communication point between BPM and ADF but not the same for all pair human task --> task flow.
All infomation I need from BPM is:
    - task ID
    - task flow name (to open apriopriate tab in my application)
    - available outcomes
    - to know is BPM operation is enabled

  • Adding an interactive "Processing" message to BSP pages

    Hi All,
I would like to add an interactive message when I hit the save button on my BSP page. Since I do a lot of database writing upon hitting "SAVE", I would like to display some sort of "popup" message that would let the users know that the page is currently being processed.
    Thanks for all the help!

    Hi Roman,
try using the PHTMLB tag "ProtectDoubleSubmit". If you are not using HTMLB you will have to develop something int JavaScript. There are some posts in this forum about this.

  • Human interaction in BPEL beyond APPROVE/REJECT

Hopefully this is easy to do and I'm just missing it. Is there a way in BPEL to create a UI for users that would allow them to upload files that would then initiate a BPEL process? I've found the example on work list, but I need more than just APPROVE/REJECT. Thanks in advance.

    How about using Human Workflow.
Create a bpel process that initiates a task as the first activity. The user opens the task in the work list app, attaches a document and submits the task.
The "submit" can be an APPROVE/REJECT or any outcome you like - you can set the outcomes when you create the task in JDeveloper.
Depending on how you configure the task it can go to the user's management chain, a group vote, or ad hoc, and other options. Or, it can simply go on to the next activity in the BPEL process which will be a switch statement to do whatever according to the outcome that the user selected when submitting the task.

  • Best approach to add Task interaction processes using BeanShell in ExcecuteScript operation

I am wondering if the following is the best way (thinking not) to accomplish the goal of determining the possible routes from a Task (Task ID is known) using BeanShell in the ExecuteScript operation in a short-lived LC process (taken from API docs and tweaked slightly).  The code does work, this is just a question of what would be optimal to build similar processes that can reach into more details.  I would like to know the best practice before building more such processes.

  • CRM 5.0 Employee Interaction Center installation

We  have CRM 5.0 . Do we have to install anything in particular to  EIC. Also What are IMG task specific to EIC?
Any help in this regards will be highly appreciated.

You need JRE Version between 1.4.2_02 and 1.4.2_09. Any version below the lower value or above the higher value would not be accepted by the installation and this message would pop-up. If you have any version within the above specified range and also a higher version like 1.5, it is recommended to uninstall 1.5 version before proceeding with the installation. Once uninstalled, you need to restart your machine and then try the installation. If the error recurs, then right click on the 5.0 InstallationAssistant.msi which can be found under the Mobile_Client_Installation folder and select the option Uninstall. Select Yes on the prompt that appears next. This should uninstall the old version of the installation package from the machine Then you could start the installation once again by running setup.exe.
    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Niranjan
P.S: Reward points would be appreciated.

  • OSX 10.4.9 - Can't Process Installation CD

My MacbookPro keeps on having these kernel panics. As in, I'll start it up and it'll only load up till the blue screen, then the "restart your mac" thing pops up. Oh and vertical blue lines appear across the screen as it displays the panic.
So I called in and they said I should reinstall the OSX w/ the 1st CD, while pressing "option". So it loads up to the step where it asks you to choose between Mac HD and CD Installation and I chose CD Installation, but then it doesn't load any further and goes back to having a kernel attack and the blue stripes.
The blue stripes are like this:

Is there any way to get pass the panics? And install the CD? Or is it a hardware problem?

If you can get access to them sometimes the crash reporter logs can help, but they are also not easy to decipher. in many cases KPs are a hardware issue. is you computer still under warranty? If so I'd take this opportunity to get them to have a look at it.

  • How to set the Native Process Installer generatedFile.exe's icon

    hi
i have made the (Native Process packaged) .exe by using adt command
how can i change the default icon to the desiered one
    thanks,
    Dhaivat

Ah I see what you mean now.  Unfortunately, this isn't available directly through AIR.  However, there are third party utilities on Windows that will allow you to modify the icon resources and it should be simple enough on Mac through File Info.
If you'd like to see this functionality added to AIR, I'd like to suggest you add a feature request to our ideas.adobe.com page.

Looks lik eyou have not specified the correct shared libraries in your server.xml. Also, ensure that you have added the libraries in the right order in your BPEL Project in JDev.

  • Human task as first step of a BPEL process

Hello every one, thanks in advice for your replays,
My version is Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0. I've tried the search but didn't find satisfying answer.
First I will try to describe use case I'm trying to solve using BPEL and standard bundled Worklist App.
I have defined a fairly straight human-centric process witch should be initiated by human data entry or (XOR) by input message (WS call) from third party application. I've read the documentation but haven't find any way how to define BPEL human task that will instantiate the process. In other words is it possible to create human task with form and use this task/form as an process initiator in Worklist App ?
I'm aware that i can create an external form (not BPEL human task form) witch can be embedded in Worklist App and call the engine JAVA API. But this is no the case since i will have to manage the two independent components of my single business process - keeping them in sync.
I don't think that initiating a process an then picking the first step from a queue to entry form data is elegant ant efficient solution (maybe my view is influenced by other BPM product i was working with).
Also since it is a micro project i cant afford writing my own Worklist App with dynamic form binding.
So friends please help with your ideas and solution's
    Kind Regards,
    Michal

Eric, hope it's not because my english..
Standard BPEL process is usually initiated by client HTTP/SOAP call which passes initial set of data to process (i.e Oracle BPEL Console Dashbord Post XML Message functionality, or some third party application WS call with process data). Oracle BPEL Console generates form based on BPEL Process WSDL, thats great for ad hoc testing but i need bit more.
I' would like to have a functionality that will dosimilar stuff as Console but in a worklist application further more I would like to have a way to define the form of this firs step and have that definition with my BPEL process project in JDeveloper.
Business case for such need is as follows:
    + Greenfield process area
+ No application supporting those processes
+ No know other rigger then phone call or fax

  • Not able to see "opencat" folder after Hyperion Interactive Reporting 11.1.2.1 installation

    Hi,
After Hyperion Interactive Reporting 11.1.2.1 instllation I am unable to see "opencat" folder or directory under this path /Oracle/Hyperion_Home/EPMSystem11R1/products/biplus
As per my understanding we keep .oce files in this location. Do we need to create "opencat" folder or directory manually under
this path /Oracle/Hyperion_Home/EPMSystem11R1/products/biplus ? won't it come by default with Hyperion Interactive Reporting Installation?

Usually in 11.1.2.1 the folder will be  "EPMSystem11R1\products\biplus\data\Open Catalog Extensions"
    I haven't seen a opencat folder.
Can you check the migration logs. Also check permission for the user on the folders.
    Thanks,
