and the use of Human resource view is
You can edit organizational plans using either an overall view or a human resources view.
In the human resources view, options and features cater to human resources users.
both the views are similar but when come to authorization we can restrict the view

As I am using the trial version so I have isnatlled all the products Workbench, Server and the application server in the same machine. My System has 2GB Ram.

PM's see only a few resources in All Resources view of Build Team

Our PMs (and me, as an administrator) get different names when we use the All Resources view while building a team from PWA. Both PMs and Admins have the My Organization category, and the view is in there too. My Organization is set to cover
all current and future projects and resources. As an Admin, when I open the view while building a team (from PWA) for some projects, I see all resources; but on another, I see only one. On a project where the PM sees only one resource, I see them
all. We have a 3-tier RBS, but it is not used in the My Organizations category. Each project and each resource has one department.

On the project where you see the discrepancy, set the "All resources" view and ensure there is no filter selected over there.
To double check that there is no filter applied in the view, open Server Settings --> Manage Views --> open the view which is in Resource center -->click on Filter and check the settings
Ensure "<label for="idFilterByRBS">Filter Resources to user's RBS branch" is not enabled.</label>
If that doesn't help, Click on New view --> View Type : Resource Center --> Add all the categories, later choose that view and check the status.
Sometimes, toggling the filter in the view also can help us to resolve the issue.

We are planning to implement Self-Service Human Resources in HRMS 11i. I am able to find out information using metalink note : Recommended Patch List for Self-Service Human Resources (SSHR) in HRMS 11i [ID 108897.1].

I agree. However, I understand that the Patches search in My Oracle Support website mentions that the RUP patch is included in the next RUP patch available.
Please note that you need to consider also the patches in the following documents on top of RUP 5.
Note: 1075477.1 - Known Issues on Top of Patch 9062727 11i.HR_PF.K.DELTA.5 (11i HRMS RUP 5)

Creating nested folders in the resource view

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to create a set of nested folders in the resource view in one go?
The following works if the path /home/cosmos already exists but fails if only /home exists, i.e. it looks like the createfolder method can only create one depth of folder at a time.

The problem is that the paths are being created dynamically by the application in response to details in xml messages received. We're rather hoping not to have to write the loop to test each section of the path and create it if it doesn't exist.

It is said in the iStore documentation that Ship to Country and Bill to Country for Operating Unit should be setup in Human Resource in order to build a global store.
Currently no country has been added for either attributes for Vision Operations in Vision Demo instance. Yet it seems the out-of-box specialty store works just fine. Why?

Is this for new transactions or existing ones that went thru the 8.8 upgrade? Is this for new BP that the address doesn't show or existing (if you have other transactions with no address problem then it shouldn't be the address format setup unless something happened in the upgrade).

Resources view: how not to show resource from under Org Units

Hello experts!
In cProjects/xRPM 4.5, when we assign a user as Staffing Manager of an Organizational Unit, not only the resources from this Org Unit appear in his resources view, but also the ones from sub Org Units.
We would like to prevent this, and display ONLY the resources at the same level.
Is there a way to achieve this: BADI, authorizations?

In addition to above information, you can refer the following doc for the generic reason of this error,

This could be the reason for some invalid field entry as ORA-904 coming please verify.

Dashboard/Scorecard with Human Resource Indicators

I have been given the task of creating a Human Resource Performance Indicator Report or dashboard/scoreboard. I am interested in ways of making this report dynamic, but I do not have access to Business Objects and I am looking for ways to create a dynamic report with Web Application Designer.
Has anyone created a report with such indicators as Vacancy Rate, Turnover Rate, Number and Percentage of Promotions, etc?
I am working with SAP BI 7
Any help is greatly appreciated.

To get dynamic indicators the speedometers or the indicators charts can be embedded ina report in report designer.For these charts provide queries with conditions or respective key figure values.
The reports can be directly executed in portal or can be inserted in a template in WAD.

The certification charges differ from country to country for the live course and online courses, probably you can check for the Online course being offered in Asia Pacific region which would work out much cheaper. You can write to in to Education partners that are mentioned in the SAP website for the certification details.
I would personally suggest that, if you are looking for certification then you can opt for online learning course. If it is just learning SAP HCM, then you can watch this site and sap.help, sap.bpx, sap library. There are lots of materials available online for you to learn. Thanks,
