We are using SAP T&E systems Enterprise. Is it possible to move "business events type" and "business event" to other folders?

Through maintaining relationship(PP01) you can edit the relationship between object like business event group,type..

    How to create a location (japan,China) while creating a Program schedule????

    Hi Seetharam,
    You can create a location using Tcode OOLC or with the following path
    From the SAP Easy Access screen, in the SAP Standard Menu choose Human Resources -> Training and Events -> Business Events -> Settings -> Current Settings -> Location.
    When you create a business event, you can relate it with the location where the event is to be held. You can also assign location-dependent resources such as rooms to locations. You make this assignment in the steps Creating Rooms and Creating Other Resources.
    Brief Steps:
    On the initial screen, enter the validity period of the new location.
    Choose create button. The data screen Create Location appears.
    Enter an abbreviation and a long name for the new location.
    Enter site-dependent additional information data as required:
    The calendar ID valid for the location.
    The currency in which event costs are to be settled.
    The language in which events are usually held at the location.
    Enter address data as required:
    An address supplement (e.g. box number or c/o)
    A house number and street
    A postal code and city or town
    A country key
    A regional code
    Enter the telephone number of the location, where relevant.
    Enter the fax number of the location, where relevant.
    Then click on save.
    Once you have created your first location you can use this as a template for any further locations you want to create. To do so, you enter the ID or name of the object you want to use as a template in the field Business event location in the Copy from box. The data of the existing object is proposed on the data screen. You can overwrite data as required for your new object.

    The training dept wants to make a budget for the entire year for their training programs. How to perform this budget activities in Training and Event Mgt module
    Or it should be done in FI?

    Hi,
    First you need to configure the settings in TEM integration with Budget Management. You require these settings, for example, for comparing the budgets created for your organizational units with the costs incurred by further training and education measures.
    For budgeting:
    Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budgeting
    TCode: PVBO
    After completign the budgeting you have to release the budget for using. Once you release the budget, you cannot make any changes.
    Then you can make the budget comparison:
    Path: Human Resources->Training and Event Management->Business Events -> Budget -> Budget Comparison

    I'm just starting my journey into sap world and i face with some, i hope simple, problem.
    Is that anyway to configure some kind of time buffer(e.g. 24h) before event, in which no one can cancel this event, or maybe this can be achieved in some other way that configuration?

    Hi Kabu,
    Which version of SAP LMS or Training & Event management you are using ? I know there is an option in Training and Event mgmt to Lock a Business Event. You can have your training administrators lock the business Event (they dont want emplyee to cancel) 24hr before the actual event time.
    SAP Standard Menu choose Human Resources --Training and Events --Business Events -Lock/Unlock. Enter the business event you want to lock. However I am not sure if this can be done programmatically to be  automatic feature for all business events.
    Also it depends if you are using ITS or Portal. In ITS you may be able to configure the workflow to mould the cancelling status of employees.

    Hi people,
    I am working on R/3 4.7 Ext 110 HR module. While creating a training event in Training and Event Management, I need to include the name of the internal instructor (not external). Where exactly do I do this? I do not find this option in PV10. Kindly help.

    Hello Phoebe,
    For this, first you need to maintain the Relationship A 022 (Requires) for the Business Event using the Tcode OOET with the Resource Type (Instructor).
    Then use the Tcode PV10 and select data screen for the Business Event. Then make the necessary entries on the screen and then select Resource Selection on the left top of the screen. After this the new screen will pop-up of all the resource type with which u maintained the relation. Select instructor from there and click on the select resource in the left side. Again a new window will appear and select Temporarily Add Resource from there.

    Dear SAP Experts,
    I am working on the module TRAINING AND EVENT MANAGEMENT.
    While using transaction PSV2 - DYNAMIC BUSINESS EVENT MENU, when i click on BUSINESS EVENT TYPE in that create W/O RESOURCES, I get an error.
    PLANNING PERIOD IS NOT IN BUSINESS EVENT TYPE INTERVAL.
    Can you please guide me in this.
    Please tell me where i am going wrong

    Best way to check the guidelines is to see help.sap.com.
    From my experience you need to follow the following steps:
    1. Create busness event groups
    2. Create business event types
    3. Create resource types
    4. Create resources
    5. Create external instructors (if any)
    6. Create companies (if any)
    7. Create locations
    8. Manage integration switches (SEMIN rows in T77S0 table)
    For the master data creaton activities above, you can create LSMW to make it possible for mass data upload.
    After your business catalog and all other master data is in place,
    1. Plan business events - PSVP
    2. Create business events wth/without resources - PSV2
    3. Book attendees- PSV1
    As recurring activities:
    1. Firmly book the events.
    2. Cancel events (if needed)
    3. Follow-up events.

    Cost allocation:
    Here it is possible to charge an employeeu2019s cost center with the fee for attending a business event (e.g. training course, workshop). The business event organizeru2019s cost center will be credited and the attendeeu2019s cost center will be debited.
    Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
    The costs incurred from actually holding a business event can be transferred from the resources cost center to the business event organizeru2019s cost.
    Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
    In SAP Configuration:
    Training and Event Management > Integration->Billing and activity Allocation-->Activity Allocation and cost transfer posting.
    Please do above configuration and create business events with or without resourses, in that you can maintain cost centre to post the expenditures .

    Hi,
    Training & Event Management runs between objects like business event group, business event type, types of resources like internal and external and resources also comprises of objects like room, different equipments.
    Mainly you have to concentrate on the objects and the relationships which they hold.
    You have to maintain settings for the above mentioned objects. and different infotypes.
    First understand your client requirements then  you can proceed for trainings / events.
    It starts with training nomination and ends with training / trainee appraisal between these two steps there are differenct processes which purely depends on client to client.

    Hi Prosper,
    You need to configure lot of settings, prior to Business Event, because one BE is based on various elements like Location, Attendee type, Instructor, Fees, Resources, Time Schedule, Services, BE type, BE Group.
    After configuring all these for BE type, you need to create a BE for the BE type. Then, you can go for day to day activities like Booking, Pre Booking, Cancellation.

    Hi,
    Training and Event Management uses cost items to determine and represent the costs incurred by business events. Cost items are also required when you want to transfer event costs to Cost Accounting, for internal activity allocation for instructors, and for determining a price proposal.
    You store cost items for resources, resource types, business events, and business event types.
    This cost move to relevant for cost centre.
    Like eg: External instructor fee, Resources cost.manual fee, depreciation fee.

    The SAP HR Training and Event Management Packaged Service provides functions to plan and manage all kinds of business events for both manufacturing and service companies.
    It is assumed that the training department would be responsible for the creation of the courses or other business events, including duration, schedule, location, resources and so on. It would also be presumed responsible for classifying business event types that share the same characteristics or deal with related subject matter (e.g. language or data processing courses) into business event groups.

  • Business Event Brochure in Training and Event Management?

    Hi Guru's
    My client has a requirement as follows. The training administrator decides the Business Event Types which for which superiors can book their subordinates or not. Those events are stored at a particular place. Once the administrator stores them, a mail should be triggered to all the superiors. Thus superior can have a list of event types for which he can book his subordinates. When he books for such events, a mail should be triggered to his subordinates regarding the training event. If an employee books for an event, a mail should be triggered to his superior for approval.
    How is this possible? According to me, those events will be "Included in Brochure" (in Business Event Type Infotype). Am I right?

    I wish to track actual cost per event in PE (TEM - Training and Event Management).  Was considering having a Internal order per Instance of event. Have any Idea on how to set up something like this?

    Hi Dean,
    using internal orders you have to consider that sending and receiving cost center have to in the same company code.
    If you do not want to distribute the costs to FI/CO but only report them, you can use the cost items provided by TEM. We have set up something similar for our plants in South Europe.
    We have created some cost items and fill them manually with the training costs. Additionally we have created a report that evaluated this costs and combines them with the employee costs (derived from salary).

    My client wants that users can see only courses of training and event management business catalog in ESS, they can't book or do any activities related to TEM. How we can put restriction for that requirement. We are using ITS services PV7I and PV8I.
